Mission Name: The Amber stone

Mission Goal: A group will be dispatched to recover the gem, inspect it to see if it is worth what they say.
Description: There have been recent reports of a huge finding in Shungiko Town. In a mining cave, they were able to uncover a gem unlike any other. An amber stone was found, perfectly sculpted already and it glowed with an unnatural power. The leader of the town found this odd and have asked the village to send someone to escort the powerful gem to Konoha. Hoping to receive plenty of funds for their find.

It was Seid's first time around Takagamahara. The sights were beautiful in this part of the country. He could see why the ninja in the village fought so hard to protect it. His mission was not a pressing as protecting someone as of now. But his mission meant something to this town. And they did ask for help on identifying their findings and protecting it. Whomever was sending them messages were probably nobodies. Not wanting to share such a finding to Kumogakure.

But as he made his way to the station center. He was able to see that the people here seemed nice. There was a building that was in the report that he needed to go to. He was about to ask someone for directions, but then he looked and saw a building larger than others. It seemed to be the focal point of the town. So he made his way there.

There was a two story building that looked like the building described in the report. He walked up to the establishment. Pushing the door aside he walked in. The place was large on the inside with many people walking around tending to a number of matters. He was noticed immediately walking in. His headband on, it was apparent he was a shinobi from the Cloud village. A lady with brown hair and blues walked up to him from around a desk. She seemed to be a secretary of some sort. "Welcome to Shungiku Town. I'll call for Mr. Mozi to attend to you immediately. He was the one who posted for someone to come. Are there more of you?"

"Its just me and that's fine, we can wait for him." Seid said to the lady. She nodded and gestured for him to sit in the waiting area. It was beside the entrance but Seid opted to stand.

It wasn't that long before there was a short stubby man that came from upstairs. He wore a long Kimono which was something new to Seid. He was used to ninja in uniform, and their own personal taste of clothing. Kimonos were traditional but didn't seem as a common as one would like. He was balding at the top but he seemed to be a pleasant man from what Seid could tell.

Walking up to Seid he said, "Thank you for coming young sir."

Seid replied back, "Seid Otsusuki. And you're welcome. What is it you lot have discovered?"

"You came very quickly. But here, let me show you what we have discovered." Mr. Mozi gestured to the upstairs behind the counters. Moving behind he showed the young Genin the way. "It all started few months ago when we began mining on the outskirts of town. We hadn't found anything like this before. Just some iron ores and mineral ores, and maybe at times other findings. Never really anything of worth. But is is different."

They came to a room with a locked door. There were no real guards except a security team two people. Not at the level of ninja however. He gave them a nod and they opened the door for them. Walking in, it was an empty room save for a pedestal and an glass box. Within it was a small hand sized amber colored stone. But it was no ordinary stone. It had the faintest glow, emanating a type of power from it. Looking closer he could see that this power could only be felt. He hadn't quite activated his vision powers of his eyes quite yet. And could not look at it in that sense. But...they villagers definitely found something.

"This...stone is amazing." Seid managed to say. It was as they said, perfectly sculpted. As if it was meant to be put into something. At a small oval stage it was something that was definitely extraordinary. Seid spent a little more time inspecting the gem. Even mentioning for Mr. Mozi to actually take it out for him.

Mr. Mozi took the glass casing off placing it on the floor. Seid reached over to grab the gem. As soon as he touched it, he was blasted with an unfamiliar chakra. The amber stone turned bright orange-red and it began to fill his very being with memories of some faraway place and time. There was blast of concussive energy from the gem as Seid began to yell with the sheer amount of power coming from it. The blast was so sudden and quick, but then it was over as fast it had occurred. Mr. Mozi had flown backwards from the blast.

Visibly shaken, Seid picked up the gem and it returned to normal.

"That never happened to any of us when we touched the stone." Mr. Mozi said getting back on his feet but with renewed energy in his step. He knew they had found something big. "Why did it react to your touch like that?"

Seid did not know exactly. Perhaps it flared up because of his Rinnegan connection. But whatever it was, it had proven to him that this gem was indeed invaluable. How? That was a question for the Kumo Intelligence Squad. This gems power was real. So it must've had a purpose that was for something else before. And it was buried here out of nowhere? In this small town of Shungiku. Sounded like a trap.

"I don't believe it would be worth anything to Kumo. But feel free to sell it on the market." He held the gem up to his eyes and began to look through it. And he put it back and bid Mr. Mozi farewell eager to leave the town.
