Honiko stood on the rooftop of the Kumogakure City Hospital. She was standing on the ledge and gazing out to the city skyline. the city's industrial and technological achievement was impressive but ultimately worthless. All this supposed innovation and creation to satisfy needs that were not really needs. Harmony, Understanding, Duty, Destiny, and Order were the only things that mattered in this world. The more people strayed from those concepts was the more that they fell from the original mission of this world's progenitor. Honiko clasped her hands behind her back and waited for the Doctor to arrive. She had made it very clear to the administrative staff that she wanted to speak to the Cloudian Wonder when he arrived. The boy's skill in Ijutsu was noteworthy and after seeing him at work, she was curious as to what drove him and if he had any inclination of joining her cause. Someone that skilled in Ijutsu likely did rotations at the city hospital if not to heal then to direct and coordinate other less skilled medics. The Inazuma would eventually arrive and when he did the intimidated hospital staff would send him to the rooftop to speak with Honiko. The Sage's clone was on another building sitting in the Lotus position. The clone continued to draw natural energy to itself as it communed with nature, an energy so pure it penetrated through the heart of the urban landscape.

Upon being notified at the the gates of the soujourened meeting with the White Serpentress at the hospital, The Ocularyst of the Cloud attuned a pathway towards Kumogakure's Medical ward to accommodate her. The night was dark with full silvern moon, sheening with miniscule cover of pure plumes. He stratus'd upon small pillows of nimbyses, running o'erhead the city, watching below of the pedestrians, citizens and clergy whom tasked their normal duties. It was quite strange that an individual, whom he had no form of acquisition with to request him, and be granted prestige, seeing she was a wanted criminal inside the gates. Then again, he knew her abilities dawned with reptilian snakes and dragons and they had a charm akin no other. He'd be cautious lest she tempt him in the same way which gifted her entry.

In route, he could see the white hair of the Serpentress streaming through the gentle breeze amongst the elevated area. In oculist, he also saw the clone on another building sitting, slowly transforming into the snake form he once prospected in the valley of Jehoshaphat. He could feel a foreign energy, which seems to draw him in. It was beyond the utilization of chakra, yet seemed to pick up his senses. All of them began blaring vivacioualy akin his dreams he experienced in death with the count in his castle during Halloween and while traveling admist the land of frost during Christmas; premonitions? Prophecies? All which were to be fulfilled. His mind began to wander wildly frm his normal composed silence, yet it did not manuever him to act unrationaly. Instead he began to calm his mind in meditation while traveling amongst does towards the medical facility.

When he arrived towards the hospital, he avoided landing to walk inside and greet the staff instead vaulting amonst the skies, in shunshin, beaconing from the beginning of his Arc, until he stepped down upon the rooftop in a
vorpal and shining radiance of light
. He distanced himself around five meters, giftmg respect as a Tokubetzu Jounin by bowing to Lady Honiko. After straightening his posture, he spoke up gently in resonance: 'As you wished, I have met you accordingly, Lady Honiko. What is the need of meeting with me upon the return of my travels?' Aside from being scolded by the village because of his airy disposition of scouting and traveling at will, not many saught his conference, so being aquilesqued by another whom was practically a stranger was indeed a new experience. Regardless, he kept cool composure.

The Ocularyst of the Cloud arrived and she turned to face him. Léï Zhènyün, or as Honiko preferred to call him "The Doctor", was probably someone of important pedigree. Morikawa shared his abilities but whereas the Mikiri appeared to be more interested in scholarship from a myriad of sources, this Inazuma appeared to be fixated on medicine. Honiko favored depth over breadth but she considered herself an anomaly that was capable of doing both. All the same, she could use someone who was just as skilled as she was in Ijutsu to collaborate with. Menza was getting on her last nerve and if she could recruit this Doctor and bring him up to speed then the Society would have no more use for the spiteful Cursed One. Morikawa struck her as too loyal to Kumogakure to leave and although Léï was dedicated to the task of healing his comrades, she sensed a profound lack of tether in his personality. Using the Mind Eye she had committed his signature and its ethos to memory. She had tossed it around in her mind in the months since and came to the conclusion that this Doctor was merely dying for a true challenge. A true purpose. That was why he had shown up in the Valley without a squad at his back. When the Cloudian Wonder spoke to her she replied:

"Doctor. I recall your talent in Ijutsu at the Valley of Jehoshaphat. Is it still as sharp as I remember?"

She had paid him a compliment which was a rare thing. However, if his skill did not live up to her expectations then that would turn her into a liar. And Honiko would be very cross with him if that were the case.

Lëî Zhën'Yün was quite bewildered being called doctor by another, even though he did have righteous persuit in medicine. Even in the hospitals, the staff seemed to title Zhën'Yün as a militant and Shinobi before his ability to heal, regardless if he had one, yet the resonance of being a medical physician chimed pleasently in ear for him as Honiko gave sanctum word on his prestige and promise in ijutsu. It was always good to hear another notice his gentle and kindness, over his battle oriented and tactile manor, in HS beneolent route of seership.

'Akin a medical physician and doctor, I enlighten to seek the ailed and cure the sick. It is the same for me to be a doctor and heal the wounded until they are in perfectly magestic and in a radiantly healthy state. My abilities for healing, creating potions and antidotes has also bloomed in abundance, for my talent in ijutsu is as sharp akin would be a prick of the thorns for the fangs of your reptiles, White Serpentress.' The Ocularyst said in a cheerful guise in appreciation, complimenting her, even though they were on opposite poles of the spectrum. From his studies, he knew that snakes and dragons were benevolent creatures of will, despite the malicious cots of whom were afraid of thier stares, celerity, and ferocity in battle, including the lingering torment of their bites and poisons catching unwarrented foes off guard had they not heeded their warning before strikening a dumbfounded warrior. In his alchemical studies and philosophical disciplines, he knew them to be quite liberated beings amongst other poison dwelling creatures, such as Arachne as frogs. It was the same for his own summons of the Medusazoa, which harbored aurical arms of toxic barbs when shaken and stores from their zenlie and peaceful 'float and boat'.

Perceptive as ever, the Ocularyst of the Cloud knew that the Lady Honiko spoke of his ability because she possibly needed his help in medical field, thus entailing: 'Lastly, I am a preist to help guide those whom are in the dark towards the light of day. he said, wavering his right palm over his heart. What is it you inquire with my clerical gifts and medical occupancy, Lady Honiko?

Honiko had been told in her mercenary days that she had a painfully proper way of speaking. She had always ignored such remarks as coming from lowbrow trash. She had been raised in a monastery and she naturally spoke as though she was enlightened. For the first time in her young life she understood how her criminal peers felt when she addressed them. Lëî Zhën'Yün's peculiar speech pattern was loaded with metaphors and multi-syllable words. His vocabulary was large and while his usage of certain words wasn't entirely incorrect it certainly was unconventional. Honiko nodded both to herself and to his statements. The Inazuma was unique and she could tell from his chakra patterns that his way of looking at the world was radically different from most. It made him difficult to understand but it also made him a genius in the more arcane disciplines of medicine. He admitted to being a priest which caused her to narrow her eyes in annoyance.

"I hope for your sake when you say priest, you do not meant to imply that you are an Orthodox Jashinist"

The conversation had taken a left turn. She was more interested in his medical work but since he had brought up the subject of religion she wanted to get clear on this particular issue. Honiko was aware that a heretical and blasphemous interpretation of Jashinism had taken root in the village. She was honor bound not to cause trouble in the village but her tomahawks screamed for the blood of the infidels and the fire inside her roared to burn them to ash. If the man standing before her was one of them she'd settle for him. If he was fortunate he'd answer in the negative so that the subject would die.

In his days of clergy, Zhën'Yün hadn't been one for the spilling of blood, regardless of the state reason, although he also wasn't against putting those whom ultimately disgraced or wronged the light to the judgement of divinal revelation. He had not knowing of the intricacies of Jashinism, however he saw thier way of life agonizing and insanitary. Thier tactics of utilizing the blood of thier enemies to empower thier reasoning was impure from what he was taught; to regress from sin and thus faultless through innocence. His angelic perception kept him from dabling in the couldron filled with the materia of his enemies whether blood, bone, or power. He wholeheartfully saught the light and hoped the darkness of any religion, or spiritual exceptions, which attempted to 'guise him away from grace, could be quelmed and thus relinquished. Even though they had prestige within the village, and Lëî knowing of thier doctrines and covenants, he steered clear from thier techniques.

'I am not one for the abhorrence of my enemies to invoke the darker side of myself through the ablution of blood. Jashinism, even so being a spiritual religion, does not resonate with my views of the dawn; the rising tide of the sun with the storm. I honestly feel Kumogakure has no need for the begotten of the fallen, yet should rise above in skycrad akin the heavenly palace. We of the storm believe in the washing of the purest waves, for our aquatic nature is the universal source. Hemoglobin is aformentioned after Hydrosi, before Gale, only because we wield electrolytes. The catalyst of blood is solid and rigid, thus we see Jashinism as dogmatic and extreme. The religion resonantes on polar opposites, and wouldn't keep the people happy, even if proclaimed for good reasoning. The calm of the storm, fluid and graceful. Jashinism, too have grace, yet there are so many secrets and hidden passages to clean after they have run amok. Just not as sanitary as those whom need to keep clean. For them, there is always a need for refination which is overlooked for power, domination, control, and in worst cases, corruption.' Lëî said gently. He had no negative quarrel with the individuals, yet he wouldn't be blinded to the differentiation in which thier past had caused for the storm, especially in Kiri with the Hozukin uproar. Besides, the oracles and seeds would guide him away from the foundry of blood and absolve in diplomacy and healing over the tides of blades and war. He had his father, Arashiyama, to appreciate for his lifestyle as Lëî wasn't the kind to become unforsaken because of false or ignorant judgements.

'Thier way of living is so unlike my own. Jashinism isn't a route my clan would bestow.

Zhën'Yün proceeded to launch into a very elaborate and long-winded critique of Jashinism. He appeared to not appreciate the distinction between the Orthodoxy and mainstream Jashinism. The Cloudian Wonder's critique was filled with more obscure words, references, and metaphors. The lengthy talk was beginning to bore, irritate, and somewhat offend her. Just as she was about to silence him, he finalized his statement by reflecting that his clan would not approve of such a thing. This made her question if he had the stomach for what she had in mind for him. The lad appeared to have a good heart but with a good heart came weakness. It would be a shame for someone of his talent to be limited by morality. Morality was meaningless when compared to purpose. A true divine purpose was always righteous irrespective of the morality of the actions taken in pursuit of that purpose.

"You have much to say about Jashinism but your speech betrays your ignorance. Fortunately, what I require of you will not necessitate your conversion to the religion. The Enlightened Society of Rebirth and Reordering wishes to retain your medical services. Listen closely Doctor....before you even consider accepting this invitation know that I will ask you to demonstrate your skill and loyalty."

Honiko looked the Jounin in the eye to see if he'd wince or flinch from what she was offering.

'The Enlightened Society?' Lëî remembered. With such a name, the society seamed like a benevolent place Lëî could see himself with, long as they held true to thier namesake. His father, Arashiyama, only spoke of enlightenment after he dropped the will of the sword stating:

'One kind gesture of enlightenment, in all ways, would ascend the world.'

In the same strange way, his father indeed changed from a sword wielding deviant to a wise mystic upon thier travels in tutelage of Yun. Lëî, of course, was appreciative, because of his father's wisdom and otherworldly knowledge in experience, which caused Zhën'Yün to grow fonder of the world and heaven, thus wise akin Arashiyama. The correlation of Honiko mentioning the society was more than just coincidental for Lëî Zhën'Yün, it was the beginning of his legacy.

He mediated deeply, knowing that what she was asking of him was quite grand task, yet he had no prior knowledge of the history of the Enlightened Society and thier current agenda, thus he asked, 'What is of the Enlightened Society of Rebirth and Reorder? What is thier purpose with me as a Medical Specialist for thier organization?' he asked inquisitively

Lëî wanted to know more about the Society and what his role as a medic would be. This was understandable and given the public nature of the organization's activity she saw no harm in explaining to him what they were about and what they sought to do. Of course, she would only be speaking in broad generalities as the true purpose of the Society was not even known to Honiko's lieutenant.

"The Enlightened Society of Rebirth and Reordering is a revolutionary organization that seeks to restore the Sage of Six Path's vision for the ninja world. Our aim is to collect and amass enough power to make his dream a reality. As a Senior Medical Officer you would be responsible for healing our Nin of any injuries, augmenting their capabilities through transplantation or biological engineering, and assisting me and others with research into biological and chemical weapons."

Honiko could tell just from looking in the boy's eyes that he had been raised on ideals of peace. She wondered how he'd react to being party to a terrorist organization's medical research and weapons development team. It was all for a divine purpose but many shinobi could not see the forrest for the trees. Was this Inazuma a spiritually blind young man? Or was he willing to do what it took to bring about a true and lasting peace.

'Six Paths?' Lëî remembered again. 'I briefly remember the saavy of the sage from what my father has taught me after he dropped the will of the sword. How am I kinected with the Sage of Six Paths?... Lëî introspected. unless... He meditated briefly upon her words, seeing them to be a route of freedom and progression, however the current implications couldn't allow him to be joined to their purpose. 'Lady Honiko, with all due respect, I do appreciate your gesture in invitation, being a seeker of peace and advancing medical science with my talents and gifts, however the alignment with another faction which is not allied with Kumogakure is treasonous among my people and prestige with the Raikage.' he said straight forwardly. 'Although, I cannot immediately become a Senior Medical Officer of your ranks, I can alleviate thee by appropriating you with ideals, schematics, and intel while in village. I believe we can help each other grandiously in achieving the peace so inquired by the Sage of Six Paths and the Enlightened Society of Rebirth and Reordering. However, as it currently stands, Kumogakure's eyes would shun us because of our reputation. Lëî Zhën'Yün didnt want to over step his boundaries as a Shinobi of Kumogakure, nor did he feel quite sure that the reassignment of the Society would gift him that ultimate freedom which he saught. He indeed, wanted to help her, however, as it was, Honiko would seem like a criminal within the gates for attacking the outskirts of the land, a few years prior, even if she was invited for the exams. Currently, neither of them had proper clearance to proceed, without Kumogakure's judgement being on either of them

Lëî gave a verbose refusal to her offer to which she considered then nodded in acceptance. She was a bit disappointed and surprised given that her read on him was someone who yearned for freedom and adventure. Nonetheless his ties to his village and clan were stronger than she had anticipated. He wasn't willing to betray Kumo for her vague promises which was a tame yet respectable decision. He appeared interested  in sharing information which wasn't something Honiko would ever turn down. The Society had many individuals who were not among their ranks but nevertheless provided them with critical information and support when the time came for it. Forging alliances and cultivating relationships with others was often beneficial. Lëî would be yet another contact in the Society's growing network of affiliates.

"Very well then Lëî Zhën'Yün of the Inazuma Clan" she said using his full name and title. It was a rare show of respect as she more often than not referred to her adversaries by nickname. The Cloudian Wonder had shown skill but his knowledge of medicine was tempered by an inner moral compass. That compass pointed him away from her organization and towards his obligations as a shinobi and clan member. It was a form of order in of itself and while she despised the structure that he dwelt within, she did not personally hate him for his choice.

"I understand and respect your decision to remain with Kumogakure. However, let us keep an open line of communication. If there is the opportunity for Kumogakure and the Society to cooperate in the future then I'll be sure ask for you by name. Good day to you Doctor."

Honiko gestured behind him, essentially giving him his cue to exit the premises.

Even with his decisions of not joining immediately, Lëî Zhën'Yün felt attracted to the Society's causations and inquired additional information for introspection. He had he chance to speak with an highly intellectal individual whom could be highly regarded in her efforts and saught to utilize this time graciously. Regardless of Honiko's 'criminality' within the village, he was empahic to comprehend she operated from a base which was outside of the normal paradigm of the village jurisdiction. Her customs were different than Kumogakure, yet Honiko, and Lëî Zhën'Yün, are alligned by the idealology of birthing peace among thier nations. If she could be an accessible ally, it would be wise and prestigious to acquist her, personally in allegiancy.

'I wish a good day to the both of us to proceed within grace, however... He said gently, seeing her close the subject, yet he could not leave without knowing why she attacked the villages within the valley not long ago, two renewals prior. 'I was wondering upon the attack of our village two years ago. Why was it that the Enlightened Society, which ask to restore peace upon the realm, mercilessly attack one of our resource points on the outskirts of our village? And what does the society want with Kumogakure to attack us without prior warning?' The Cloudian Wonder asked inquisitively. Learning of the foundational roles of the Society, he didn't comprehend why the white Serpentress did not stream for diplomatic exchanges, over the belligerence of an all out attack, tactilically. Regardless, he hoped that the White Serpentress and Kumogakure could be alligned. After all, she and her team was invited to participate in the tournament without avail of the former attack.

Honiko had dismissed him but Lëî still had more questions. He wanted to know why she had attacked the Valley of Jehoshaphat all those years ago. If she was really a woman of peace and order then why would she bring death and chaos to Kumo's doorstep. "It was a necessary step in measuring the strength of each of the shinobi villages. I had received knowledge that joint forces would be in the area, and that these forces represented some of the strongest that each nation had to offer. If the Society is to conduct its mission I must know what potential threats it faces. Destroying the Valley was but an means to an end. Nothing more, nothing less."

This was not entirely true. While she had fought the shinobi in the ruins of the village, Honiko had sent her Dragon to secure a certain artifact. An artifact that her Sensei had yearned for and something that could not be collected without making a great deal of noise. The battle that occurred in the Valley provided a potent distraction for Balerion to extract that artifact.

Akin Lëî remembered, he was deep in meditation in the golden temple when he heard the ruckus among the valley. In all his days in the peaceful village of Kumogakure, experiencing such turmoil and destruction was honestly from his intuitive mind or creation. Lëî felt a little uncomfortable remembering the 'shunshin of death' through the scattered remains of the forts, outpost, and townsfolk a he made it to his comrades, only the find the majority of them incapacitated or horrendously wounded by the White Serpentress. Seeing her calm and collected, normally, from her 'snake like' battle form was quite the indifference. Regardless, Lëî could innately detect a menacing aura from her, even though they could speak under the guise of one purpose. Maybe it was just thier level of intellect.

After listening with active ears, and learning of the conclusion of the reason for the destruction of Jehoshaphat, Lëî proceeded with his Inquisition. 'What is the causation for the Society to be so Enlightened and how do I become one with such state of wisdom? If they are, indeed, helping in altruity of peace, why haven't I heard of thier existence until now? With such idealology of enlightnment, our purposes would have naturally alligned since birth or thier reknown growing across the manifold in each listening ear.' Lëî said in alcolytion.

Lëî was a curious young man and his desire to obtain knowledge about her organization was admirable albeit a bit annoying. He had declined to join so she was under no obligation to explain to him what made them so Enlightened. Anything she would tell him would be a lie as she had not even explained the true purpose of the organization to Nozomi, her most trusted lieutenant. She had not the time nor the inclination to waste her breath on more lies. "Suffice to say, our wisdom encompasses the truth of all things that have past and of things yet to come. I have no need or desire to elaborate further and before I trust you with any specific details of our mission, I'd need to know where your loyalty lies. Although Doctor, I think you have made it clear that its not with the Society. So once more I bid you good day."

She'd gesture behind him again indicating the direction he should depart in. This time if he didn't take his cue to leave there'd be trouble.

Lëî's naivety got the best of him. He didn't want his former words to upset the White Serpentress, because of his loyalty with his village. He was a Shinobi of his own will, yet she'd have to comprehend that he was already sanction and gathered reknown for his village. Such things could not change because she asked him to join, although he indeed saught to help, if not as a member, yet a valuable aquaintence. In such way, he could help both his village and the society, with the acquisition of being free like he always wanted.

He harbored not to have any confusion, yet it was strange that she'd welce him with open eyes to see forth the Society's duty, yt wouldn't give him any other information unless he joined. It was rather...dishonest and misleading, although the words of her purpose seamlessly rung true in alignment for peace. The conflictions didn't add up to what Lëî stemmed within belief or peace, however he did not disregard the White Serpentress because of thier allignment with a common goal. Lëî didn't want to pass up an opprotunity to help the faction for enlightnment and peace.

'How do I encure trust with your Society of Enlightnment? Even if the village doesn't see your faction as benefactory because of your former reputation of a criminal doesn't mean that I, as a Shinobi whom also seeks to restore the balance of order and peace among the realm, is also of thier folly. If proper reparations were sated, and the honesty of your word for enlightenment and Order in your Society is true, then our village would have no other choice than the accept you as an ally. See no lies, in me, Lady Honiko. Let us leave this day akin friends of peace and thus aquaintences.' Lëî inquired. His introspection rung of insight and righteousness and spoke up one more for clarity of the situation. 'Even with being a Shinobi of my village, I comprehend the purpose of your Society is to abridge forth peace and enlightnment. Such purpose is a light which I cannot look away from, because I am also alligned with the same emanation. The good in me speaks truth for you so we are clear, thus loyalty for the Society of Peace and Enlightenment is what I inquire for us. What would need to be done to enable trust with the Enlightened Society of Rebirth ad Reorder?' Lëî asked lastly. He didn't seek to annoy Honiko, yet he wanted clarity of vision and saught an ally before her. Such an interaction was more than just a 'coinidental' causation for joining her order, it was purpose, although Lëî always wanted more than enough information on subject before acclimating to fulfilment. He thought allignment of the Order would be good for him and the village, even if he had to allocated trust as an outside source .

Honiko's expression grew more serious (is such a thing even possible?) the longer that Lëî' spoke. She had made her offer, he had rejected, and in her mind there was nothing more for them to talk about for the time being. In the near future there might be cause for the two to have words but the jounin's incessant questioning made the prospect dimmer with each passing second. She had dismissed him twice already and yet he remained. She waited until he had finished speaking before taking a step towards him and looking him in the eye.

"Let me be emphatic: Leave now or face the consequences"

Honiko invaded his personal space and gestured upwards with her head indicating that he should take her seriously. She wouldn't ask a third time and he had already jeopardized his chances of an future alliance. If he persisted down the path of interrogation then he'd be jeopardizing his chances of living to see tomorrow. Honiko molded chakra within her body just in case the Cloudian Wonder decided to test her resolve.

'Fine...' Lëî said, seeing there was no further resolution with the woman. He streamed chakra from his abyssal well into his body, crouching before shunshining upwards and away in a vorpal beacon of arching cerulean light. He beamed forth from the medical facility, moving celerity away from Honiko, The White Serpentress, before shifting his trajectory among the market, blending amongst the crowd from an alleyway, treading amongst the civilians calmly. He had questions which he saught answered and hoped to decrypt the puzzle which Honiko presented with her exchange of words. He eventually pressed forward, letting the meeting settle within his subconscious to analyze later. He was sure if the Enlightened Society of Rebirth and Reorder were truely alligned for peace, and the society was honestly interested in him, they would meet again...
