A Stupendous Meeting [Akihiro]

After a long journey to Kumogakure Rin already knew some of the food he had left was spoiled. Rin lives in a large apartment within the residential district. The flooring holds a dark grey wood like it has aged a bit yet still holds a shine polish. The furniture was comfortable as large squared rugs cover where the furniture sits on. Going through his kitchen that had dark blue marble counters as Rin trashed the spoiled food.

After trashing the food, Rin covers his nose and mouth with a scarf as he took a feather duster and began dusting off the counters, appliances, leather couches, tables, and even chairs. No one has hardly ever used this apartment for two months since Andorra, Rin's husky, was currently under Zing's care. Once he cleaned off the place of dust which surprisingly was only a thin layer. He took a moment to open the windows noting the spacious living room with a dining table. Giving the apartment a chance to air out for a bit as he finally went to his bag sitting on the brown leather seat and began unpacking to organize dirty clothing and what food was still edible and what was not. Putting the clothes into the laundry basket in a small room where the washer and dryer is located at underneath the loft.

Unbuckling the belt around his waist Rin took out the tools and carefully laid them out on the coffee glass table in the living room. However his thought process was interrupted as he takes out the familiar knife that has an ebony blade dark as the night itself that holds etched fuuinjutsu markings that was barely visible under the lighting. His mind went back to the moment when he fought against that ghost who tried to summon Isobu. One he barely lived through as everything seemed to be at a lost as Rin was alone and surrounded by fire and smoke. The sheer heat was enough to give Rin a cold sweat because it was so intense and the smoke made it suffocating to breathe. Rin sighed as his fingers curled around the leather hilt as the Uchiha felt like it was nearing the time already. ”I suppose i've been leaving you under wraps for far too long now. It is nearly time…” He trailed off as Rin didn't want to finish that sentence. Pretty soon, Rin fears, he'll have to seek out the other artifacts of power including bijuu that haven't been taken yet. Just to be sure that they're safe and secured. The problem is with this lockdown in effect Rin's plans has been put to a temporary halt.

[Using Sensing Technique]

The village was on a full state of lockdown, squads were patrolling the streets and the tension was almost palpable. The Hokage had gone missing and there were all sorts of problems arising from this fact. Merchants were having a much harder time doing their trade since restock was close to impossible. People were worried and yet not properly informed about the state of things. A curfew had been imposed on the village, and things were messy all around. For all intents and purposes Konohagakure no Sato had become a full military state until news of the Hokage or of new leadership arrived.

To top all of this, the Uchiha clan was also in a full state of unrest. The removal of their leadership had caused the Clan to become suspicious towards pretty much everyone who wasn't part of it. It was amazing how with the simple removal of the village's leadership everything had become so unstable. But this wouldn't do. Akihiro wouldn't have it. That is why he quietly moved through the roofs, away from the sight of patrols- This wasn't a difficult thing to do since he had literally memorized every single patrol route. He needed to remain out of sight because he didn't want the Uchiha to think he was plotting something with Rin. Akihiro knew well enough that despite the boy's achievements as a ninja not everyone in the Clan was particularly fond of him. And if there was one thing they didn't need that would be unrest.

But he needed to speak to Rin either way. It mattered little to Akihiro what the rest of the clan thought, he acknowledged Rin's abilities and would welcome into the clan with open arms if it was within his power. The Sharingan didn't make an Uchiha, believing so was childish.

"That's quite a blade you have there..." Akihiro's voice would come from an open window which was over the staircase that led towards the second floor of the apartment. "My apologies for showing up like this, Rin. But we need to speak." A quick leap and he would be landing down on the apartment 's floor. "I'm not sure how much you know yet, but let me start by telling you. Lord Satomi, the Hokage went missing on his business journey to the Land of Grass, most likely dead. " It was still hard to deliver this news. But it needed to be done. "As you can imagine, the Clan is in a state of disarray. And while I can appease to them, there will always be unrest and distrust until we can find out what happened. Now, I know there is no love lost between you and some members of the Clan but... I can assure you the village will benefit from a happy Uchiha Clan. I'm here to ask for your help in finding out what happened to Lord Satomi."

After having spoken, Akihiro would merely wait for a reply.

The Way of the Shadow- As an incredibly Intelligent shinobi, Akihiro is well versed in the art of Illusion and Deceiving which are essential parts of being a shinobi. Through the use of his natural chakra and Genjutsu prowess to deceive enemies, he can hide his presence for three posts to any sensory technique and perception rank equal or lower than his class, but while doing so, he loses a rank in perception for an equal amount of time. This costs absolutely no chakra. Akihiro learned this ability in order to be able to remain safer on the battlefield. This is because he is well aware that despite his genius, he still has a lot to improve on in terms of physical combat.

The sweet air flowing from the open windows was soothing even as the strict lockdown taken place weighs on everyone's mind and body. When Rin first heard that Satomi went missing after he departed for the Land of Grass Rin couldn't exactly see how Satomi would succumb to MIA. Granted Rin has never seen the man in action, but based on his deeds alone Satomi is not an easy opponent to trifle with. However his disappearance has put just about everyone on edge in Konoha. Especially with the Uchiha losing their clan leader.

Just as he set the Kokushibyo down on the table there was a light flap from what sounds like wind clawing at some cloth or maybe leather. One that Rin's keen ears picked up as it was followed with a familiar voice that he honestly did not expect to come. Or at least not directly. Still the source Rin already knew was friendly as his fingertips left from the hilt. ”Indeed it is. I'm surprised that you came to visit or i would've prepared something to drink.” He was surprisingly calm as Rin turns his eyes towards Akihiro who leapt through the open window and onto the apartment floor. Akihiro was greeted with a smile, for if Rin was good at anything it was to keep his worry under a mask.

After hearing Akihiro's apology and the urgency in his voice speaks of something dire. Rin gestures with his hand towards the other couch or chairs if Akihiro fancies the chair. Otherwise Rin speaks from body language that he's willing to listen. ”Alright, you have my attention Akihiro.” After all if this has anything to do on finding out what happened to the Hokage then Rin is willing to offer a helping hand. Akihiro started out by telling Rin that Satomi went missing and while it wasn't exactly news however coming from Akihiro only confirmed. Rin's expression shifted into a stoic after hearing such news, but he still listened to what his superior kin has to say. In truth Rin is a bit surprised that Akihiro wants him to find out what happened to Satomi.

Rin had already decided to help out in whatever form he could, so while Rin took a moment of silence it was truthfully recollecting the routes from Konohagakure towards Kusagakure. In fact the reminder that there is a known dragon rampaging in that land brings concern as what if the dragon attacked Satomi and his escort? After all Rin was wanting to take care of that dragon preferably before anyone goes to speak of negotiations. If that was the case then this would mark the third time Rin had a bad feeling, tried to do something about it, yet was ignored. ”Just to inquire further knowledge, do we have confirmation that Satomi took the main roads or is there some kind of secluded route he might have taken?”

"He knew I was here? Tsk...good. Excellent, even." He would show no signs on his facial expression but the truth was that Akihiro had been surprised by Rin's perception of the world around him. Akihiro had become an expert at moving silently and discreetly and many members of even the famous ANBU unit of Konohagakure no Sato would often be unable to detect his presence. The fact that Rin wasn't surprised in the least was a testimony to his abilities, and this was excellent- it meant that, should it be needed, the Uchiha would have yet another quite capable warrior.

It was a good thing Rin had been willing to listen. The two were about the same age and they had grown together, but Akihiro felt he hadn't always treated Rin properly or given him the credit he was due. Perhaps due to influence from the elders at a young age, Akihiro had often ignored or dismissed Rin's attempts at conversation or friendship. Could it be the elder's influence? Or the fact that Akihiro had risen through the ranks at such speeds that he couldn't afford the luxury of being a 14 years old with 14 years old friends? No. None of that was true, and he knew it. The reason he had dismissed Rin's approaches was that it made things easier. Easier with the clan, and especially easier with himself since despite his wealth of knowledge Akihiro really didn't have anyone he could call a close friend. And yet, during his hour of need, Rin Uchiha was not only willing to listen to him but he was even willing to help him. It could be because this would likely boost his reputation with the Uchiha but...was it really? Akihiro glanced around. Rin was a fine shinobi, with an apartment and seemed to be doing quite well for himself. Rin had no need for reputation with the Uchiha. If anything else, it was the other way around- the Clan needed him. And Akihiro could only thank whatever Gods existed that the boy had said yes. The Sparrow couldn't be sure he would've said yes, should he have been in Rin's position at that moment.

"It's possible you might be wondering why I came to you. I think it is only fair you know. There are several reasons for this. First of all, I know you were in Kumogakure no Sato with the rest of Konoha's commission. So it is unlikely that you're personally responsible for this attack and that makes you one of the few people that can be absolutely trusted to not have personally delivered the blow.

Out of those people who went to Kumogakure, the only ones with a technical and mental level I trust for this mission are you, Masuyo and myself. Masuyo is busy cleaning up the mess that a Hokage-less leaf left over the past two months. That leaves you and me.

Finally, we're both from the Uchiha Clan. Should we succeed in finding the Hokage or his body, then not only will we appease to the Clan's wrath but no one will be able to deny your value within the Uchiha. And that brings the Clan together and strengthens it. The Uchiha fractured with the disappearance of their leader...if we pull this off, not only will we be able to unify the Clan but we'll also finally eradicate all doubts about you and get rid of one of the oldest fractures amongst the Uchiha.

These are my intentions, and I feel you are entitled to know them. If there's anything you dislike, you are free to refuse my request."

Regardless of Rin's answer, Akihiro would reply to his question. He would shake his head at Rin's question. "Nay. We have very little information. However, I do think there're a few things we can deduce. The attack happened either in our territory, or in the Land of Grass.

But I highly doubt the Land of Grass would dare attack the Hokage. For better or worse, Konoha is a power house and if we're even suspicious about them, we'd likely steamroll over their territory. Even if another major nation defends them, their territory would be devastated. It makes no sense that they'd pull something like this.

That leaves us with the incident having occurred within our territory. Our scouts haven't found anything but I believe that's because they're spread too wide. Additionally, the current distrust between clans is preventing them from acting at their highest level of efficiency.

Luckily for us, there is one more person who came with us to the Land of Lightning and who I believe is capable of tracking down a rotting corpse in the woods. And yet again luckily, she's not affiliated with any clan. So, Uchiha Rin. What say you? Will you help this clan who seems so intent on distrusting you?" Akihiro had to ask the question again. It was one thing for Rin to answer without knowing his motives- his good heart allowed him so. But it was an entirely different thing to answer Akihiro after knowing why he had picked *him* specifically.

Perhaps he really was being generous, but truthfully Rin has multiple reasons behind this decision. One is pure curiosity what really happened to Lord Hokage. For if he really was taken out then whoever was responsible must have been formidable. Hearing that Masuyo is having to clean up the mess Satomi brought a bit of irritation in Rin's mind. Mostly because he knows that Masuyo could be doing a lot more than trying to get the state of affairs straighten out after Konoha has been two months behind. However Rin doesn't express his frustration as he knows that both Masuyo and Akihiro are doing the best they can do.

Hearing Akihiro's intention upon reaching out to Rin speaks of a clean slate from doubt and suspicion. That was something Rin has spent a good amount of time in his early years to remedy. It was also a goal that Rin felt wouldn't change further, and just getting Satomi's approval was as far as Rin has gotten. Rin was naturally curious on Akihiro's intentions, but since he already had the mindset of helping out Rin's decision remained the same. As such he was patient as Rin leans back into his leather couch that still holds that smell of new leather.

”I see. Well i won't deny that thoughts of proving myself crossed my mind. I imagine the turmoil is causing trouble for not just the Uchiha but to everyone within this village. Now what i do seek is to quell this troubling times starting with the Uchiha since we are the most affected currently. And i will start by finding out what has become of Lord Satomi. If he is indeed killed then i'll see about transferring the body back to Konohagakure for our medics to analyze the body further. Otherwise i'll see to it that he's brought back home.” In short Rin is thinking of the big picture and wishes to not only help the Uchiha clan but to also help the others including Masuyo. Still offering his services yet not doing so blindly as he leads others to believe. Granted Rin didn't think he would be aiding to recover the clan leader's body, but this works better for everyone's benefit on the long run.

”Who else am i accompanying on this search?”

It was a good thing that Rin was willing to help even after knowing Akihiro's motives. The fact that Rin's interests aligned perfectly with Akihiro's, in this case, must've also helped. Either way all that mattered was that his search squad was getting together neatly. There was one more member they needed to contact but Akihiro didn't figure she would oppose coming with him and Rin. "You are to accompany me and a Genin, soon to be made Chuunin, named Sachiko. She has a keen sense of smell and I believe she'll be able to track down the Hokage's body- `*if* it can be found in the Senju forest surrounding the village." Akihiro would then turn towards the window, and slightly lower his shin to acknowledge Rin.

"Meet me at the gates in a couple of hours. We'll head out to find out what happened to Lord Satomi."
Having said all that needed to be said and done everything that needed to be done, Akihiro once again leaped towards the window and exited the apartment. Now he needed to find out Sachiko's whereabouts and convince her to join the party.

Yui was angry and upset, she had failed at something for the first time she could remember. It stung for her to be told she failed the exams but what else could she do, according to them she was too selfish to be a Chuunin. She wanted to blow off some steam so she went to head to Rin house, he was the one person she felt confident in talking to. She understood why she had been failed but she never even had a chance to prove herself in combat, her skill alone should have been enough to push her to Chuunin. This would give her a chance to develop mentally as they wanted but she as not being given this chance, she had the power of a Jounin as a genin and felt trapped.

As she made it toward his house she would see some sort of shadowy figure leaving his house, she wondered and joked in her head he had met with a woman and lost his V card. As she would leap through the same window she would wave at Rin. With his sensory ability, he would have seen her coming a mile away and expected her even.

"Rin... I need to vent can you believe they failed me in the exam... I did not even get to show my true strength, never got to battle I would have destroyed those other supposed Chuunin level people. I know mentally I am somewhat childish and selfish but still... when it comes down to it what matters is the ability to fight and I am classes above anyone else that was there."

It was clear she was hot and bothered about the situation as she went to Rins fridge to raid it for food. She wasn't exactly the best house guest but Rin was very used to her antics as she would flop down on his couch and wait for his words of wisdom. She needed to go punch that punk Uchiha in the face that failed her, she would show him just what made a Jounin.

"Also Rin that stupid idiot Akihiro was the one that failed me, I should go find that idiot and give him a lesson in strength. He would be no match for me... yet he failed me I bet he is just jealous of my power."

Rin recognized the name of Sachiko as she was apparently the only Konoha Genin who passed the first part of the Chunin Exams. Also they traveled together back home, but Rin had kept to himself during that time as he was supposed to be on the lookout and covering the group's rear. Dipping his head in agreement, Rin responded. ”I see, well then i will start preparing immediately. Until we meet again Akihiro.”

As Rin's words reached Akihiro's ears the true Uchiha departed through the same window he came in from. Rin was just taking a kunai out from one of his holsters as he was gonna replace it with the ebony knife when Rin detected a familiar chakra signature. One that Rin immediately recognized to be Yui Kotoshura, and she seemed to be heading for his direction too. ’I am getting all kinds of visitors today it seems, but then again Yui has been pretty upset about the exam.’ Rin thought to himself before Yui leapt through the same open window Akihiro used. If it wasn't his best friend or anything important Rin would've thrown them out and tell them to enter his residence the proper way.

Rin's hazel blue-green eyes lifted up to meet Yui's own and he can get the vibe that she needed to vent as she confessed. He was glad to see her and normally he's be smiling in earnest, but Rin has gauged the sincerity behind this situation and figured to just listen and see if he can lighten up the mood. ”Honestly i found it hard to believe that they failed you on the test. I suppose anyone who earns the rank of Chunin or higher would be regarded as selfless and making the hard decisions. Alas combat can be as simple as black and white where the one who emerges on top wins. However there may come moments that fighting isn't so easy as other factors can come into play. Such as holding your loved ones as hostage with threats of killing them if you resisted or even forcing the same loved one to fight against you. A bit dirty, but the cunning and intelligence would use anything to gain an advantage.” Rin spoke of what he heard from Yui's explanation as she raided his fridge for food. There was plenty of choices such as making a footlong sandwich or even making some eggs. Perhaps french toast if that suits her fancy. But otherwise Rin has a small stash of ramen on top of the fridge and in the freezer is some beef patties, porkchops, and even some chicken. There is a bag of frozen vegetables that can be steamed to add on whatever she wants and Rin doesn't mind either. Afterall Rin still needs to restock his food anyways so it wasn't hurting him.

”With that being said, i do believe that you should at least be promoted to Chunin. Childish perhaps, and every human has some part of selfishness in them no matter how small it is. For example i'll admit that i am being selfish when it comes to protecting this village because in truth i fight to protect Kanna, Masuyo, Akihiro, and everyone else including yourself. Mostly because i can't… i don't want to imagine having to live on without any of you guys, especially you Yui. So there's my selfishness, but it is also motivation for me to get stronger and get better.” Rin was being truthful as he admits what he truly is afraid of, but also points out that fear to serve as his strength and armor. Perhaps it was his natural instinct to protect. ”Just don't tell Masuyo i included her to that list because she'll more than likely give me a stack of papers to finish.” Adding for comical relief Rin chuckled with a smile on his face as it was merely a joke.

Hearing about Akihiro was the one who failed her raised a brow from Rin. Then Yui went on how she should give him a test of strength and boasted in taking him down. Rin slightly tilted his head as his warm black hair sways over to the side from a gentle breeze. It oddly felt nice like someone was combing their fingers through his hair. ”I can't really speak for Akihiro on his decision, but i can say that he didn't get to where he is now just for looks. Perhaps once the Hokage gets back or whoever takes his place temporarily you can ask for a second chance to be Chunin. Everyone is on edge unfortunately so i'd wait until this Hokage business is dealt with first.” Rin is being supportive or at least he believes that he is towards Yui. Additionally proposing opportunities and perhaps encourage Yui to try again once she's calmed down.

She frowned at his words but it was true she had failed because she refused to give up someone she knew was strong and someone she loved. The ones that died in her mind could not match the ability of Kanna so she had made the correct choice. It appeared he also agreed she should have been made Chuunind despite her selfish side, she was strong there was no one that could doubt this and her powers were only just coming into full effect. Rin was trying to see the bright side of things as it made her laugh a bit he used to be like her and she used t be like him.

"Rin you ever thought about running away from everything before, the stress of my clan and the fact now I will be seen as weak because some idiot shrimp failed me in exams is a lot to carry on my shoulders. The clan already tries to get me to have a child now they will say I am a failure as a shinobi so I should retire and have kids to bring on a strong generation."

She would walk over to Rin and pat him on the head as he said especially her, it was true she did think of him as her brother and she would not know how to feel if she lost him like she had lost her own brother.

"I would have been lost without you but I can say I am quite angry right now, I know what power I have... I could destroy an entire village in the blink of an eye if I wanted. It feels like they dont seem to value how strong I am...maybe because I am not born from this country, they look down on me and my clan. I will prove my strength but I am also beyond pissed and need to find a way to vent some steam Rin."

Yui's followed up question hit Rin near on the mark as it was something that plagued his mind since the beginning. Listening of Yui's impersonating on what her clan would think and how she should retire. Rin raised a brow as he crossed his arms across his chest as this side of Yui wasn't exactly new, but her questions made Rin think they pulled a 180 on each other as he used to doubt himself all the time. Granted Rin has always strived to be someone dependable whether it was situations like this one or even Akihiro requesting his assistance. So in a sense Rin achieved that much, but it saddened him to see Yui who was always so bright and cheerful being brought down.

”Countless times i'm afraid, but you and Masuyo always gave me the strength to keep going no matter what is in my way. Be it against a ghost in the past who failed to summon Isobu, or against an army. But it is a bit too early to start giving into doubt. These are trying times and as such we'll be put through hardships that'll make our previous experiences seem child's play. So keep your head up Yui, and together we can make it through this storm.” How many times has Rin thought about quitting when things get tough? Frankly he has lost count, but then everything his clan hypothesized and gossiped would come true. Meaning that all of his labor would be for naught. Unlike most people Rin wasn't born with any talent or the Sharingan, and thus made him weak in the eyes of many. Yet despite the odds pitted against him, Rin prevailed and all of his progress came from great effort and having people who believes in him.

When Yui got up from her seat and walked over to pat Rin on the head. A hint of warm red reach his cheeks as his hazel eyes shifted over to the side for a moment. Returning his attention to Yui, he was reminded that she was still livid. Rin knows that bottling emotions like this can be toxic to the mind, and venting would do her some good provided that it doesn't involve killing or severely injuring anyone. ”I suppose just hitting a bunch of dummies at the training grounds wouldn't be satisfactory. So…” Rin lightly hummed as he pondered on a thought that crossed his mind. When his attention reverts back to Yui Rin presented a smile on his lips.

”Ever fancy on taking on crime itself? Bringing down murderers, binding thieves, and possibly lowering the crime rating in Konoha? It has been roughly 2 months until now that any official has done anything about the crime rating. With Konoha under lockdown it'll provoke criminals to act out a bit more discreetly or perhaps a bit out in the open. Either way everyone is focused on the defensive, and perhaps if you could handle these criminals not only will it let you vent to some degree. But you'll also be proving to the higher ups that you are not done.”

Yui smiled when she heard Rin's final words, take out the scum of the village and make it a safer place, this was something she could handle as a smile crossed her face. She certainly thought this was better than someone just trying to cheer her up, she was angry and she certainly wanted to punch someone in the face, who better than criminals in the village. They had been gone for quite a while and while they were away the mice came out to play, plus there was the unknown with the Hokage and where he was.

"I like the way you think Rin, sure let us do this, I am sure you know I am more than ready, so let us find some of the worst types of scum, I need to get a good workout anyways. I am glad to have you like my brother, if not for you I may have tried to track down that little gremlin and beat him to a pulp. Instead, I will do something to help the village."

She would walk toward the door as she was ready to do it right now, it was night but that was when criminals were out the most. She did wonder how Rin was doing knowing his family was missing if he ever needed to talk to her despite how mad she appeared to be right now he always had hear ear. The blush he gave when she rubbed his head did make her smile as he was starting to grow up some finally.

It seems that Rin's persuasion to redirect Yui's pent up aggression to something that would benefit her more was successful. He even got to see her smile again, and frankly that reminds him that Rin needs to announce something. Yui came to him wanting to vent and perhaps seek direction so Rin deemed it inappropriate to mention something unrelated to the subject. At least that is until Yui had calmed down enough. Her words of enlightenment was rewarded with a nod of acknowledgement.

When Yui started to head for the door Rin's heart nearly jumped as his lips parted for him to speak. ”Actually, there is another thing i wished to tell you. I suppose it is about time that I'm upfront with you regarding the future.” The thought of Alkaid brought a brighter shade of blush on his face even though Rin tried to suppress that emotion. Irregular heartbeat and body temperature rising was something Rin was still getting used to. If Yui waits or even sits back down Rin will proceed with the most recent change of development.

”To start it off, i have met with someone a while back before we left for Kumogakure. And to put it bluntly I'm engaged to a Kirigakure Shinobi named Alkaid Kaguya. We haven't set a date just yet as we're still sorting some technicalities for the moment between family issues, the villages in a political perspective, and finances too.” The words came out a bit difficult for Rin to say as for some reason the rising anxiety and flustered is not making it easy on him. Anybody who has met him would know that he usually never has difficulty in speech nor does he blush so much save for the couple of times from Yui's teasing. Once these words were said Rin took a moment to take a deep breath as it was a breathing technique to regain his composure of calmness.

Rin reached over to the ebony knife that was holstered now and carefully draws out the blade. ”Two years ago when Masuyo, Sera, Taichi, and myself departed for Tanzaku Town. We came upon the temple that was previously thought to be lost from the world's eye. As you know we were assigned to retrieve the ancient relic that the Fire Disciple Hohoni personally used when he used to draw breath in this world. The designated guardian of this temple was already wounded and exhausted that he could barely put up a fight as Masuyo swiftly ended his life. But not before the guardian activated some kind of fail safe that makes an entity manifest in front of us. We fought against this entity that took the form of a man, and Masuyo quickly fled from the fight without saying a word to me as i was evading a very powerful katon technique at the time. By the time i realized that she was gone i was left along with this man. Now i had a rough guess that this entity is the manifestation of Hohoni himself to which the man neither denied nor acknowledged it. I could've fled i suppose, but at the time i didn't want Yami Hozuki to come around and claim the knives especially after he tricked us and falsified the mission.”

The ebony knife started to twirl around his fingers as Rin leans back into the leather couch. This part of the story Rin purposely neglected to tell anyone nor report on it. ”I fought Hohoni first hand, and by all rights i should be dead by then. When Hohoni stabbed me in the arm he took a step back and attempted to summon the 3-Tailed Beast Isobu that was and still is residing inside of Nozomi Himitsu. Because Nozomi held Isobu within her, the disciple failed the summon and lost precious chakra in the process. Mind you this guy was on a time limit as just existing Hohoni was losing chunks of chakra in addition of launching techniques. At his final moments Hohoni gave me one of his knives and made me retreat as the great wall of fire blazed around us and smoke lingered in the air. Additionally he told me to report that there was nothing else to be found and the knives were destroyed by the forest fire.” Perhaps it was a bit of a waste to tell this story as Yui already knew most of it, but he wanted to tell her the truth behind it. The Black Death stops between his index finger and his thumb as his fingers held the blade and can easily throw it if need be. ”Reason of this story again is that i wanted to bring the truth to light, and to follow up with what i have in mind. Rin took a moment to ponder his words and the dark blade twirls between his fingers and stops between his ring finger and pinkie with grace. ”With the Hokage's or whoever is in charge's permission. I am going to venture out to the other major lands to look into the other 3 temples of these disciples. I fear that Yami Hozuki is not at all who he claimed to be, and for what purpose he wanted the Black Death i assume the worst. With this Society attacked the temple in the Land of Lightning it would not surprise if Honiko and her pawns are in league with Yami in some way. From my understanding they already have 1 relic in their hands. I wish to check into the remaining relics to ensure their safety and if possible provide a more secured location. Problem is if these temples have the same defenses as Hohoni's Temple did then i have to be as powerful as these other disciples who once all five were regarded as the strongest men in the world.” Rin waits to see Yui's reaction to all of this as the knife fluidly twirls to his thumb which he gripped the leather wrapped wooden hilt with the blade pointing downward.

Yui listened as Rin began to explain a lot of things as her face changed and her mouth dropped, he was supposed to be married. This sly dog when did he get the balls to touch another woman, she had greatly underestimated Rin. She simply grinned as he told her this with her giving him a giant thumbs up, good for him it seemed they had both found happiness. He then began to tell the story of the mission he had gone on when her brother died. As he explained it anger showed on her face, Masuyo had vanished and left her brother there with Rin. She abandoned her students and could have caused both of them to die.

"So she left you both there to die, are you fucking kidding me... I never knew those details now I want to crush her into DUST... I lost my brother but he could have been lost and I would have never seen his body... I have some words for her the next time I see her."

As he described what had happened she was shocked, he had been through so much and survived, he then began to explain to her he planned to search for more of these weapons, Yui could only smile as she was super pissed at Masuyo. It sounded dangerous though, if those terrorists were looking for them as well he could be in danger no way she would let him go on his own.

"Well Rin after we deal with the crime I think we could go on an adventure again, and why didn't you tell me you lost your cherry, I hope she is cute. I am glad for you to have found someone you can marry. I always thought I would be forced to marry before you, but I am happy for you anyways let us get out of here that was a lot of information to process."

Rin can understand why Yui is upset as he was livid that Masuyo ditched him. Granted he could’ve left the field, but then their fruits of labor would be for nothing and that was assuming the ghost was willing to let them leave. Had the sage succeeded on summoning Isobu, it wouldn’t really matter if they fled to another major nation because they would simply not be able to outrun a bijuu. Or at least not for long and certainly not while hauling two human bodies the entire time. Alas Rin had gotten over his frustration about that a while ago.

”That is what it felt like, but alas this is also from my side of the story. Masuyo’s side might be recollected differently, but yes by the end of it i found Taichi lying unconscious near the large forest fire that blazed very close by.”

With that being said Yui seemed to be happy about the news of him getting married. Alkaid always found a way to make him fluster as apparently it made him look cute to her, and the fact that he has switch from combat to social made it twice as much. This news was suppose to come out sooner, as Rin was kind of hoping Alkaid would be at Kumogakure during the Chunin Exams and Tournament. Alas she wasn’t, and Rin didn’t pry on it as he was sure that there were reasons behind it. When Yui began speaking of him losing his cherry Rin got flustered once again as he shook his head.

”That is because i have not lost my cherry yet. I figured it would complicate some things regarding with other family members.” As for Yui’s remark on if Alkaid was cute Rin grinned for once.

”Oh she most definitely is, and she’s quite stunning too. You’ll see when you meet her.”

”But yes another adventure does sound nice. On the other hand i’ve been called to do some scouting of sorts that i need to prepare for. Shouldn’t be too long, and when i get back we can deal with this crime business together.”

Yui was livid, to say the least, she was sure she was going to fight Masuyo seriously for what she heard, no matter the reason she was going to abandon her brother and a conscious student. To her this showed a lack of leadership and made her blood boil, still, she would calm down some as she heard Rin saying he had not popped his cherry yet making her smile some. She would move over to him and run her finger down his chest with a deviant smile on his face.

"If you want big sister Yui can teach you what you need to know."

She would wink and laugh at him, as always it was clear she was teasing him badly, still, the sly dog got a beautiful girlfriend she was proud of Rin. He had finally broken out of his shell some, something she had hoped he would do. She herself had become a lot more jaded no longer the cheerful person she once was.

She heard him mention doing some sort of scouting job, she was fine with this but she would certainly make him help her in reducing the crime in the village. She was a powerful force and certainly could scare those in crime to change their ways.

"I will let you on your way then, I will wait here at your house, when you get back here I expect you will help me don't make me be forceful you promised me fun."

She would stay laying on his couch clearly in no hurry to leave, she knew if she was here the guard dogs of her clan would leave her alone and would not try to harass her in returning home.

The teasing that Yui does to Rin would probably be very suggestive to an outside perspective. As normal a flush of red remains on his face, but perhaps a lighter shade. ”Tempting, but i rather not have dear sweet Kanna rip out my beating heart. I like where it is now and like to keep it that way.” Rin jested considering it was usually just Yui that teased him. Recently he's been going along with it treating it like an inside joke as he flashed a smile.

After Rin explained that he needs to wrap something up real quick, Yui was understanding which was very helpful as this part is sensitive. At least clan wise because Rin doesn't think Akihiro wants the other Uchiha to find out that Rin is going to find Satomi. Not until Rin finds Satomi and brings him back dead or alive. ”Naturally. I shouldn't be gone long, but Zing might bring Andorra over soon so you might have to deal with a hyper husky until i get back.” It was a fair warning, but Rin has never hid the fact that he owns a dog. Usually Zing Uchiha, one of his kin that was strangely the first to help Rin when he was younger, would babysit Andorra while he's gone on missions. It was her way of paying back the times Rin babysit her little brother who was just an infant at the time when she went off training and such.

”Try not to blow the place up and i'll be back.” With that playful joke Rin walked to the front door as he took the spare key from the ring and puts the spare key on the end table next to the front door. Not that anyone uses the door apparently, but it is the point. He trusts Yui with anything Rin owns and loves. Once Rin exits his apartment and the door closes behind him with the knob locked. The Uchiha went through the market streets to buy a large sealing scroll with a bag of military ration pills. Never know when he might need the pills, and the scroll is really in case he needs to seal a body or two for easier carry. Then after securing a bag of supplies for three days worth Rin left for the gates where he'll wait on Akihiro to arrive.
