Description: This is a technique by which Tsuyo focuses the abilities of her Byakugan in tandem with the incredible eyesight granted by the Eagle Vision of Kyujutsu. Extra chakra being focused into her eyes and a conscious effort to ignore that which is behind her for that which is front of her is what makes up the basis of the technique. This doubles the range of her Byakugan's abilities, but requires a continued focus on her part.
Weaknesses: Reduces the almost 360 degree range of vision granted by the Byakugan to 240 degrees, with the center facing forwards. This greatly diminishes one of the primary abilities that makes the Byakugan such a powerful dojutsu.

Description: Wrath of Artemis is a technique that is meant for the sole purpose of taking targets out at a significantly increased range than would normally be possible with a bow and arrow while also providing increased impact power. By infusing Fuuton chakra into the arrow, Tsuyo can fire an arrow at varying distances without losing any power. The Fuuton chakra cuts air resistance to zero while in flight which also serves to silence it in its flight, and also provides enough lift to almost negate the effects of gravity on it. At the higher amounts of chakra, the arrow gains the ability to blow through steel armor as well as through wooden walls and trees. When used in tandem with the Eagle Vision granted by Kyujutsu, it enables Tsuyo to easily take out targets without them even realizing there was somebody targeting her and is thus one of her favorite techniques for assassination missions.

Depending on the amount of chakra flowed into the arrow, the range and power is increased differently:

E rank: Range of the arrow is doubled, no additional power granted.

D rank: Range of the arrow is increased by one kilometer, with no additional power granted.

C rank: Range of the arrow is increased by five kilometers, penetrating power is increased by a + for the first half and wooden walls may be fired through to reach a target. No bonus in second half of range.

B rank: Range is increased by ten kilometers, penetrating power is increased by ++ for the first half and + for the second. Wooden walls and steel armor is penetrable for the first five kilometers, only walls for the second.

A rank: Range is increased by twenty kilometers, penetrating power is identical to B rank.

S rank: Range is increased by forty kilometers, penetrating power is increased to one full tier for the first half and ++ for the second. The first half of the range, trees are able to be blown through now as well as walls ranked B rank and lower. Armor of any rank S rank and lower may be penetrated normally, while only armors of B rank and lower and regular wooden walls are penetrable in the second half.

Weaknesses: The arrow can be sensed since it's infused with chakra, and obstructions that her Byakugan can't reach or see through will effect her accuracy with the weapon. Additionally, only one item per plus of additional power available may be penetrated and each item reduces that power by one plus for the next one. For example, S rank arrow could blow through one tree and then through a wooden wall to hit a target at the tail end of its range but could do the same thing while also going through her first target in the first half, as the target becomes the third item. This means the next thing the arrow hit after would stop it like a regular arrow.

Hawk Vision- This will need its own upkeep, which will need to be more than 0.5 or 0.2 points per post. Keep in mind that this technique is a very powerful combination, because without it, you would be able to see up to the Byakugan's range with x-ray vision and beyond that with normal Eagle Vision. Another thing to consider is that this technique becomes exponentially more useful with each progression of the Byakugan, so the cost will also need to scale with it. The drawbacks will need to be inversely proportionate to the cost, so if you want a low upkeep, that vision is going to have to drop to 180 degrees and Eagle Vision will be limited to the range of this tech. Of course, limiting the vision to 180 could just negate the need for a scaling cost, since that's a drawback that increases in detriment with every level of Byakugan, leaving you with a static cost for the technique itself.

This scrutiny better allows her to defend and counter against this one target, making it much harder to to defeat her in a one on one conflict. It grants a bonus of ++ to Coordination and a single + to Perception against this one target, making her an excellent duelist.

Weaknesses: The focus on one target subtracts from the attention paid to the area around her, decreasing her Perception of things and events around her by one -.

I'd rather see the rank buffed to C-rank, power level the same, and have the upkeep changed to 2 points. A rebreather is incredibly useful on its own, and seeing that it's a Kirgakure Exclusive item, you're essentially skipping around that barrier with a Fuuton technique.

Under requirements I see "Eagle Eye" though you common refer to your custom technique known as "Hawk Eye." If this is an error, correct it so it reflects the proper technique.

Fixed Rebreathing. With the second one, the mention of Hawk Vision is just a comparison. Eagle Eye is what is required for the technique, which is what's listed in the requirements.

Perceptive Approach- You'll need to define close range. You're also getting a D-Rank boost that appears to be Ninjutsu based, which means you'll need a 3 point activation on top of that 1 point upkeep.

It's not Ninjutsu, it's taking Eagle Vision and narrowing its scope down to one target near Tsuyo. Instead of seeing everything for miles, she sees one thing really well at a short distance by constantly focusing and scrutinizing it.

Then it's an active skill. Either way, it's neither Taijutsu nor Bukijutsu and is not subject to the cost reductions associated with them. I can't even consider any range reduction for a balancing weakness, because you don't specify how much is lost or even at what range this technique functions. All you have are stat boosts, and stat boosts come with costs. In current form, you would have to remove the Coordination boost, because vision focus does not help you move better.

She basically uses it in combat as an aid to melee confrontations with one person to make sure that she misses absolutely nothing they do. Here's a different version of it:

Tsuyo actively focuses her attacks and defenses against this one target, being sure to not miss a single action they make, so that she might overwhelm them quicker than she would typically be able to do. Perceptive Approach is designed to be used in tandem with a fighting style as it's a purely combat oriented technique. Grants one + to Coordination and ++ to Perception against this one target.

Weaknesses: The focus on one target subtracts from the attention paid to the area around her, decreasing her Perception of things and events around her by --. Her Coordination cannot be boosted higher than her Perception via this technique. If she's forced to fight more than one target at once, this technique becomes unusable.

C rank: Range of the arrow is increased by five kilometers, penetrating power is increased by a + for the first half and wooden walls may be fired through to reach a target. No bonus in second half of range.

B rank: Range is increased by ten kilometers, penetrating power is increased by ++ for the first half and + for the second. Wooden walls and steel armor is penetrable for the first five kilometers, only walls for the second.

A rank: Range is increased by twenty kilometers, penetrating power is identical to B rank.

S rank: Range is increased by forty kilometers, penetrating power is increased to one full tier for the first half and ++ for the second. The first half of the range, trees are able to be blown through now. Armor of any rank S rank and lower may be penetrated normally the first half, while only armors of B rank and lower and wooden walls are penetrable in the second half.



Weaknesses: The arrow can be sensed since it's infused with chakra, and obstructions that her Byakugan can't reach or see through will effect her accuracy with the weapon. Additionally, only one item per plus of additional power available may be penetrated and each item reduces that power by one plus for the next one. For example, S rank arrow could blow through one tree and then through a wooden wall to hit a target at the tail end of its range but could do the same thing while also going through her first target in the first half, as the target becomes the third item. This means the next thing the arrow hit after would stop it like a regular arrow.

The range increases on this technique are absolutely ridiculous. The E/D Rank should be eliminated entirely (doubling range for an E Rank amount of chakra up to a kilometer is laughably OP).


The actual power behind it is more reasonable although you may want to specify what rank you are talking about when talking about Armour. There is a material rank and there is the rank of the object itself so you may want to be more specific there.

Wrath of Artemis: I'll remove the power buff if I can keep the ranges. I'm also sacrificing the cutting abilities of Wind Release in exchange for the range, so it's not entirely without warrant. With minimal gravity or wind resistance though, an arrow could fly for a very long ways. With those things, bows can fire them hundreds of meters anyways. That power would send an arrow a very, very long ways without wind resistance or gravity impeding it much. Arrows themselves aren't very big either, so not much chakra would be needed to actually coat the thing.


Power Draw: If I increase the upkeep to 2, would that suffice to make this okay?


Dead Eye: The Byakugan's 359 degree field of view is cut to 60 degrees while using this and Byakugan costs at least .8 points of upkeep per post with this. That's a massive drawback, and Tsuyo loses a full tier to Perception for everything around her she can't see. As I noted in the technique, an actual regular human eye has a better field of vision than Tsuyo does while using this.

The ranges will still need to be toned down and the E/D Ranked versions nerfed significantly.

Normally yes but I'm afraid of this becoming an cheap (chakra wise) means of increasing the power of your bow without actually having to see a craftsman for it so I think it still needs a drawback of some kind. If you increase the chakra upkeep the drawback can be something relatively minor.

Hitting something at 40km distance (roughly the width of Jamaica) at maximum accuracy is ridiculously powerful and that drawback doesn't quite justify it. Hence, my suggestion was to accumulate some kind of drawback or lower the accuracy threshold.

Also, Wrath of Artemis still needs to be fixed so that might go a long ways towards making this more approvable.

Added a weakness to Power Draw, gave Dead Eye an activation cost as well as the upkeep to try and help balance it. Do note that Hawk Vision will have needed to be activated before Dead Eye, meaning there's a larger cost than initially meets the eye for this one. Restructured Wrath of Artemis so that the later ranges are only available with top notch gear and thus top notch strength.

I don't see how chakra will fortify your bow. When firing an arrow you're expected to full at full draw. This would imply the draw weight of your bow would increase. This would cause your bow to break.

If you have Wind release, you can have it affect the arrow, having it act like a cruise missile of sorts if you want to increase the range. Other than that, sprinkling chakra on a technique would not justify a technique so grossly powerful in itself.

Then how does chakra flow make an item more durable with literally any other item? Flowing chakra into a bow would result in something like this technique because chakra is basically magic with its ability to change the properties of things. It alters the capabilities of things, it's what it does, and saying it CAN'T do that for a bow is ridiculous. This also says the bow AND the bowstring in the description, not just the bow itself, because increasing the spring power of the bowstring and the durability of the bow to allow it to take more tension would certainly give an arrow more range. That's the exact method behind this technique, since it seems chakra flow is no longer an acceptable description for a technique.
