This will be the topic for any changes to current rules, as well as any new rules put out. As always, everyone is free to comment on the rules and even suggest new ones by either contacting one of our staff or by posting in the Suggestions forum.



New:
We've made a change to the Stat and Skill trading rule! We've also clarified what is meant when we say "stat raise". See below:

-Trade One Skill Point for One Stat Raise or vice versa. Maximum 3 trades either way. Trading a Skill Point to a Stat Raise rewards 500 Experience to put towards stats or Bloodlines, but does not count towards the character's total Experience. Trading in this way also does not award a flat Stat Raise; Raises are considered a maximum for how many stats a character can have and do not allow anyone to bypass the experience requirements for raising Tiers.

We've added a new method for determining the speed, power, and range of projectiles. We hope this will make it easier for everyone to determine how your stats play in comparison to objects that are thrown or launched. See this link for more information.


As always, we make these updates to improve the game, and if they affect your character in any way, you are allowed to post an update with your changes and just a quick description on how the changes affected your character. In this case, everyone who traded Skill Points for Stat Raises may post an update claiming 500 Experience for every Skill Point traded in this way. Additionally, if this new information on Projectiles has you wanting to make your character a user of bows or thrown objects, you may switch your Skills around; the same applies if this change makes those things less appealing to you, but in that case, we'd like to hear why so that we can work to improve!

Two new changes:

The rules for Breaking the S-Tier Limit have been updated to reflect the difficulty of hitting X-Tier. Previously, you only needed a two tier boost to bring a base S-Tier stat up to X-Tier, but now, you'll need a technique or ability that specifically mentions boosting a stat to X-Tier. This would be things like the Gate of Death, the Physical Limit Beak Point, and similar rarities.

The following has been added to the Technique Guide and Registration regarding custom Unique Boosters:

Every character is allowed a single custom technique that can count as a Unique Booster. These are boosters which do not count towards the 2-Tier limit on boosts and are typically considered to be raising your base stat higher, allowing your character to reach beyond their previous limits. The maximum boost on this is 2+, and when gauging the power of your technique using the Stat Boosting Guide, keep in mind that your Unique Booster must be one rank higher than normal. So to get that full 2+, your boosting technique will generally need to be at least C-Rank. Keep in mind that adding drawbacks and weaknesses to your technique could potentially allow you to have a lower rank, while adding abilities to it would force you to increase the rank.

-Note somewhere in the technique's description that it is your character's selected unique booster. You can register a new unique booster at any time, but you will also have to re-register your previous unique booster as a generic booster (meaning it does count towards the two tier limit but can use the boosting guide as normal).

-You'll need to mention the fact that the technique is your chosen unique booster whenever you use it, so that everyone is able to double check your boost calculations without having to dig through your registrations.

We'll also be reorganizing the Character Registration Guide to make it more user-friendly for viewing, especially for new players. As usual, we'll continue to update the Unique Ability section to help people understand the guidelines we use.

Hey all,


As some may notice, the "Misc. items" area under the Shinobi market place is gone. Instead, the Shinobi Marketplace will strictly be used to handle tools, armor, medical, etc transactions. Crafting supply and the like are now placed in the all new Shinobi Hardware and General Goods. Here you may also find new materials and goodies added as well.

You may also re-seal items in a weapon storage scroll using an NPC within the Shinobi Marketplace. This will cost you 10,000 ryo per scroll being sealed.


We also implemented a "Hardness" scale under the Crafting Guide to help players understand the difference between different materials, how they differ from each other, and how to properly gauge the superiority over one. A section for "Material Rank" is also added under crafts and compounds.

Note the following has been added to the Travel Rules:

"When leaving a village you must post in the gates to exit and when traveling through countries you must post in each subforum as you travel towards your destination. Alternatively, instead of posting in each subforum you can merely specify your path in your first travel post (for example, outside the gates) and then you may wait the required time and post directly to your destination. Note that you must post in each subforum OR state your path, failure to do either may result in your travel being voided and your character ruled to have wandered during the whole time."

In a nutshell, you must specify your path or post in each individual subforum while traveling in addition to waiting the necessary amount of time. Failure to do either of those things may lead to someone interrupting at your initial travel post on the grounds that you just wandered the subforum instead of traveling.

To Kage and those traveling for missions or otherwise be sure to follow those rules!
