    Morikawa Miriki [Kumo-Nin] Empty Morikawa Miriki [Kumo-Nin]

    Post by Guest Tue Jan 02, 2018 2:02 am

    Name: Morikawa Mikiri
    Age: 20
    Gender: Male
    Village: Kumogakure
    Rank: Jonin
    Title: The Azure Dragon

    Clan: Mikiri
    Bloodline: Dark Release
    Element(s): Lightning
    Skill(s):

    • Genjutsu
    • Fuuinjutsu
    • Ijutsu
    • Chemistry

    Stats

    • Strength: D
    • Constitution: B
    • Stamina: C
    • Speed: B
    • Coordination: C
    • Intelligence: A
    • Perception: B

    1,050 XP (Starting) + 3,000 XP (B-Class) + 1,800 XP (UA) = 5,850 - 5,850 XP (Spent) = 0/4,800 (Remainder)

    Unique Abilities:
    Experience Advantage ~ Due to Morikawa’s experience both as a shinobi and as a medical doctor has led him to being in debt. This merely upgrades Morikawa to possess 4,800 experience points versus the standard 3,000. However in doing so Morikawa suffers an 1,800 XP loan and must be paid first before gaining more XP.

    One-Handed Seals ~ Pretty straightforward. A player may weave hand seals with only one hand. This results in a one tier loss of Coordination for that hand regarding hand seals.

    Experience Charity ~ Due to Morikawa’s love for teaching students and even other people. Whenever he is the sensei/ team leader in a thread Morikawa provides an extra 5 experience points to students/teammates involved in said thread. However whenever Morikawa is involved within missions he loses 5 experience points as a result to this.

    Ryo Debt ~ Okay so maybe Morikawa may or may not have borrowed a mere 500,000 Ryo which is the max for Jonin. But that is of course without slapping a loan towards the village where 50% of his income goes straight to paying the loan off. Can he actually pay off half a million Ryo though? Actually, correction can he pay off a 750,000 debt towards the village?

    Appearance:
    Morikawa is perhaps a strange guy as his appearance is quite colorful. The jonin originally followed the traditional of his clan’s appearance. Namely he originally possessed silver long hair that is similar fashioned into a wild wolf style. However Morikawa dyed it into a turquoise color with crimson tips. Morikawa’s eyes however took on the liquid gold color. No literally, his eyes naturally looks like molten gold that is both beautiful to gaze into and yet terrifying depending on his expression.

    Morikawa has quite an angular face as he usually wears a stoic expression. If anything he seems and even acts like he’s bored half of the time. His body is quite lithe as years of training and studying hasn’t done harm to his well-being. The muscular portion of his body is defined as much as the healthy bodybuilder while not having the unnecessary bulky muscles to his body. Too much stress on his frame Morikawa once stated.

    The man can be often garbed in some flashy red garments as his whole thing is to resemble a phoenix of sorts. He doesn’t wear mesh shirts due to the discomfort of it on his bare skin. Instead he wears a crimson coat that falls down to his shins as the red fades into orange and finally yellow from the thigh down. On Morikawa’s legs is some slacks that are actually comfortable to wear. Then for his feet are in fact boots that are made out of leather provide protection from the weather yet they’re also kind of heavy. They certainly make it hard to sneak up someone. On occasions Morikawa may change up his attire a bit.

    History:

    {Star Ruby}
    Morikawa lived a secluded childhood as the traditional Mikiri member. Would anyone believe that he was actually quite the rebellious kid even before he attended the academy? There was this one time where he snuck out of the clan’s complex and took a stroll through the village under the cloak of night. Shocker right? Well at the time he thought he was such a bad kid and felt oh so proud that he stayed up at night. Even going as far as ‘stealing’ a book or two from his father who would notice that it is missing from the shelf. But come night time the books are placed back where they were since Morikawa usually finished the books around that time.

    When Morikawa entered the academy he quickly realized that aiming to be shinobi wasn’t so easy as his naive mind led him to believe. Even so he learned and trained daily despite the days when he felt he should be sleeping rather than training. Made some friends, met a rival, then became best friends, you know the drill at this point. Regardless he showed an affinity over genjutsu so he practiced that field in addition to ninjutsu because who doesn’t? Well maybe those special snowflakes who doesn’t bother with either of them.

    {Genin Bedtime Stories}
    Bedtime stories? Ho boy better not let Roc hear about that one. He’ll probably beat you senseless like this one time where our team was tasked with an caravan escort from the mines to the village. Just to add protection mind you, but yeah we got attacked by a group of bandits. Sylphia and i took care of the east wave, Roc and our sensei Kikari took care of the west end. Of course Sylphia and i combined our talents that ended our fight rather quickly. Roc however practically left a trail of groaning bodies behind him as he tossed the final guy over the cliff. It was a job well done on our part, but isn’t that a fun story?

    Nah i jest of course. What? You never read text in first person before? Yeah i’m talking to you behind that screen reading these words. Don’t let the creator lie when he says I’m just an intelligent person capable of sealing a Bijuu for i am obviously worth more than that. coughs Anyways before admin kicks my ass; in case you haven’t gathered from the previous paragraph but my team consisted of Sylphia the glamorous wizard of water and lightning. Roc the knucklehead who is all about taijutsu and has little else to use in my personal opinion. Still his strength is formidable on its own. Then finally was our sensei Kikari Tsubasa and our team was basically an assault team of sorts. We contained a lot of offensive potential and my lovely task was to make sure Roc didn’t take too many shurikens to the shin. Or at least the main part was to watch over the battlefield, plan tactics accordingly, and attack from afar.

    {Chunin Exams}
    The exquisite part of every shinobi’s life and where every student is contested to determine whether or not if they’re qualified to become chunin. Like every exam there was the written exam which is just basic knowledge and may force the student to get creative. It was simple for me at any rate, but it was hilarious watching Roc struggle trying to figure out the problems. Sylphia poked a loophole in the rules and used her sensory eyes to gaze directly at the answer sheet across the room. Where she had deciphered the written text since it was both upside down and backwards from her perspective. Me? Well i simply did not write anything on paper. I just pretended to write and somehow i got a free pass from that. Then again it probably was the fact i looked at the questions and answered them in illusions.

    Anyways we got to the physical part where we were given the scrolls. Well, one of the two scrolls in particular, and just because i don’t feel like writing out that tale it was a success as we knocked out another team and took their scroll. Then my talents of obscuring the other two from prying eyes came into play and we made our quick arrival at the rendezvous point in the center. Unfortunately we were not the first to arrive, but instead we settled for second place. Frankly my tale of the chunin exams ends here simply because i never finished that exam. You see, before i could participate in the 1v1 matches my sister obtained a bad illness. So i respectively dropped out to attend to her.

    {Chiyo…}
    I dropped out of my first chunin exams because i received a letter from Kikari. In short the letter told me that my younger sister, Chiyo Miriki, took a turn for the worst. Nothing is worse than being helpless as you sit next to the one person you were supposed to protect that has nominated the hospital being her deathbed. The helplessness was true as i watched my once chirpy sister who used to get so excited into seeing animals of various species to become weak, pale, and breathing was shallow. It was called reality revealing the cold iron truth before my eyes, where the illusion of naivete had been crushed.

    I sat there and attended when i could for Chiyo. There was only a few moments, but those moments Chiyo would wake up into a coughing fit and confused. It pained me, but i had to lie and told her everything would be fine. However she saw through it and simply smiled. With some words of wisdom i choose not to share on this profile, Chiyo passed away. The family grieved as did i, and my team visited to check on me. A few days later we held a funeral in her name and it was probably the hardest for my parents especially.

    {Medical Route}
    Afterwards, through serious consideration, i took what some might say the medical route of the shinobi life. Where i studied rigorously in medical science and medical ninjutsu. It came with some benefits as i discovered many things along the way. Such as various antidotes as well as taking something simple as grass and convert it into medicine. Additionally, i even learnt the poisons, which plant contains a particular poison, and how to identify both the plants and the poisons’ symptoms. It was a lot to take in, but come the next chunin exam when i was 13 i was more than prepared.

    I’ll admit that the second attempt was a bit different than the last time i was there. The written exam had different rules and a different outcome. Regardless i aced that part of the exam, oh and did i mention that Sylphia was the one who won the last chunin exam? So unlike last time it was just Roc and i. Still Roc had improved too in more ways than one. It didn’t long at all for us to secure our piece which was a rock with the iron kanji on it. Naturally we had to ward off other competition from stealing our piece. Then the 1v1 began which ended with me being able to outmaneuver people who were both older and supposedly stronger than myself. That strength proved useless when they’re just chasing their own shadows.

    {Path to Seal}
    Once i became a chunin i was allowed to delve into texts or at least train in one other skill. I chose the sealing arts because at the time i was curious what other sealing techniques they possessed. Come 15 i already knew the sealing art necessary to seal a Bijuu onto a host and even possessed the ability to do so. The problem is that there hasn’t been a Bijuu for me to seal so naturally my attention went elsewhere and discovered more seals. I took various missions with my team and that was when i actually started to teach regular academy students of the very basic arts.

    Somehow, i ended up being a chef of sorts for my family and the village too. Sometimes a mission would be tacked up on the board requesting a chef to aid the village’s local restaurant. Not sure how it ended up that way, but it was just something for me to do and it took my mind off certain subjects. Stressing over formulas and deciphering seals can bring a migraine that you didn’t ask for. Five years later to our current time I was nominated to become a jonin. Not because of my skills, but rather my will to teach other kids. Surprisingly there wasn’t exactly many jonin who were willing to accept a team of genin and train them from the ground up. So i took up that mantle for one team.

    Personality:
    Morikawa is basically a sarcastic individual with a heart of gold that refuses to acknowledge it. His intentions regarding for the medical is to make sure a repeat of his deceased sister doesn’t happen again to someone else. Morikawa saved many lives in the process of his studies as naturally he had to do hands-on experience. Family comes first before anything else. This is the traditional aspect that Morikawa still upholds to this day as he values the survival and well-being of the Mikiri clan equivalent to protecting the village.

    Morikawa has developed the will to teach people in various subjects that are basic shinobi essentials. Of course he’s not referring to ninjutsu, genjutsu, and what have you. The Azure Dragon is referring to teamwork as working together especially early on when they don’t possess many skills. Morikawa encourages the students to work together and he’ll even run drills to get them to practice that mindset. Of course he’s willing to teach other stuff too that aren’t too advanced for them to learn.

    Flaw-wise Morikawa has a couple of them. For example he often has trouble expressing his emotions. It has grown on him, but Morikawa had developed something of a bloodthirsty aspect to his mentality. Luckily this only triggers when facing against an equivalent in experience or even stronger than himself. Often he can prove to be quite stubborn, and he is also quite modest too as he won’t credit himself for stuff he’s done.

    {Based on a true IC story taken place a couple years back}

    It was a lovely day for young Yuriko, an academy student who appears to have a knack for ninjutsu, to train at the designated grounds. Morikawa has been teaching this little one for the past month, and while in his golden eyes the boy is just a boy. To others however, Yuriko looks very feminine that he even attracts other boys at his age. Regardless Morikawa clearly had no interest in that aspect in Yuriko’s life. For all Morikawa truly cared about was helping Yuriko get a solid foot onto the path of a shinobi.

    However something about Yuriko seemed different today that Morikawa was quick to pick up on. Today Morikawa just wanted the kid to practice the transformation technique. Starting small such as turning a small pebble into a shuriken, then getting bigger by converting a small boulder into a giant fuma shuriken, and finally changing Yuriko’s body into someone else entirely. It took a full hour, but Yuriko finally managed to complete the first two. Then came the self transformation that raised some concern in the chunin.

    The first transformation Yuriko performed was a short manly individual that was bulk with muscle around the arms and chest. Morikawa raised a brow at the sight and while it was technically a success he could already tell that transformation was fake. Granted this was basic ninjutsu, but in order to be used in any situation is to fool the others like Genjutsu only this isn’t necessarily an illusion. “Again. Try transforming into someone else.” Morikawa stated as his voice sounded a bit hollow from emotion.

    The kid frowned as he held the tiger sign again and transforms for the second time. This transformation took on a female form, but similar to the muscular midget this transformation focused way too much in curves. It was clear to Morikawa at this point that Yuriko was going for more of a sexual appeal, but honestly he seems a bit ticked since he’s not training Yuriko to build such perversion. The student seemed to have read the silence and the hard expression Morikawa wore and dismissed the transformation. Yuriko, as previously stated, has quite a feminine appearance with dark almond shaped eyes and shoulder-length ginger hair.

    However from the chunin’s perspective was the moment he saw the kid tearing up at the eyes. At first it scared Morikawa because his immediate thought that maybe he was too rough with Yuriko since learning and practicing any technique takes time to master. “If i said anything that upsetted you i apologize kid. I’m just trying to push you over the limit so you’ll go into a breakthrough to greater heights.” He explained with hopes it justifies his actions. Of course things like students breaking down happens at some point, Morikawa just didn’t expect it this so soon. Yuriko wiped his tears before they started to trickle down his face and shook his head.

    “That’s not it…” Normally Morikawa doesn’t get involved with the personal life of the students. However for whatever it is to affect Yuriko in such a way it has to be something major. Though at the back of Morikawa’s mind it was probably something silly. “Well then spill. Tell me what’s wrong.” The kid denied it and tried to change the subject towards training. Morikawa however, stayed on the topic and pressed on the issue once again. For the second time Yuriko gave in with a sigh. “I… Do you wear dresses Morikawa sensei?”

    It was a strange question that he’s ever heard, but Morikawa shrugged his shoulders. “I mean, yeah technically. During festivals we often wear the male version of kimonos and yukata which are basically dresses. What brought this on?” A moment of silence fell between them as Yuriko nervously shifted around a bit. “Some kids at the academy were making fun of me because i decided to change my attire and wear a skirt. They kept telling me i looked like a girl and that i should be more of a man.” Now Morikawa was piecing it together. This kid was always a spirited one and is open minded with his opinions. For instance Yuriko seems to embrace his feminine appearance and apparently tried to enhance it with a change of clothing. It seems to have backfired horribly from the looks of it.

    “I see. Well care to tell me how long this skirt of yours was?” Yuriko was now confused about Morikawa’s question, but regardless he answered with honesty thick in his words. “Just below the knee…” An average sized skirt eh? Morikawa thought to himself as he toyed with a scenario or two. “In that case, before you go to the academy tomorrow i want you to walk with me. It will be towards the academy mind you, oh and be sure to wear similar attire of what you had.” A feeling of mixed emotions was thrown into the air as Yuriko was confused yet excited. There was a spirit, misdirected though it was, that brought the old Yuriko back. “First, you must at least be able to transform into a perfect copy of myself. When you do, then you may go home.”

    About half an hour went by before Yuriko finally accomplished the desired results. So Yuriko went home, but Morikawa actually bought himself some clothes at a store that consisted of a skirt with blue lightning dancing around the garment. Of course he sized it just so that the length falls just below his knees. The next morning Morikawa met with Yuriko before class started. Yuriko was dressed in a flowery blouse with a simple linen skirt that was quite light yet simple. Morikawa had the skirt on with a flattering shirt that exposed most of his bare chest. It was just to help Yuriko to build up confidence in himself, but Morikawa especially got complimented from the academy teachers that he has nice legs in a skirt. That eventually turned into rumors and even inside jokes passed around the village.

    According to my calculations, you have only spent 4,550 EXP on your stats. This means you have a remainder of 1,050 EXP to invest.

    Experience Charity ~ Due to Morikawa’s love for teaching students and even other people. Whenever he is the sensei/ team leader in a thread Morikawa provides an extra 5 experience points to everyone involved in said thread. However whenever Morikawa is involved within missions he loses this effect.

    Change the wording on this from "5 experience points to everyone involved" to only your students/teammates. Also, this would mean you lose out on 5 experience when doing missions. Specify that in there as well.

    This also causes a debt of 50%. So you would need to pay back 750,000 in full, with 50% of your income going towards that debt.

    Morikawa Miriki [Kumo-Nin] Empty Re: Morikawa Miriki [Kumo-Nin]

    I must have been really tired to miscalculate by that much. I basically just upgraded my constitution and speed up to B rank. This was only because yes i previously spent 4,550; but subtracting that from my 5,850 due to the 4,800 (B-class + UA) and add the starting it's actually 5,850. So basically i had 1,300 left and it was enough to get me 2 B ranks.

    Anyways i've corrected the UAs of Experience Charity to where while Morikawa is on missions he doesn't lose the effect, but instead he takes a -5 to earned xp from the mission. As for the ryo i changed the debt towards 750,000 as requested.

    You'd have no exp left over, since your total spent is 5,850 exp.

    Also I forgot to mention in my first post: You have 7 skills spent. Starting with a KKG requires you to spend one skill point for such ability.

    History:

    {Star Ruby}

    {Genin Bedtime Stories}

    {Chunin Exams}

    {Chiyo…}

    {Medical Route}

    {Path to Seal}

    Roleplay Sample:
    {Based on a true IC story taken place a couple years back}

    It was a lovely day for young Yuriko, an academy student who appears to have a knack for ninjutsu, to train at the designated grounds.
