    XP -1050 / 1050 used.

    -1 Skill point for Doton
    -1 Skill point for Ninjutsu
    -1 Skill point for Bukijutsu

    Unique Abilities:
-Durability: Has an increased threshold for Physical pain, actual damage occurs normally. Increasing Constitution by one tier in exchange for lowering Speed by one tier.

    Appearance:
Standing at a slightly hunched six foot tall, this slender lad keeps his eyes on the map's borders and his calloused grip strong. Years of dwelling beneath the flickering sun has baked his skin to a leathery brown, strands of dusty brown hair cropped short catching the hot wind blowing across the scattered sands. Dark brown eyes often gaze out towards the unreachable horizon and ponder what lies beyond. More accustomed to the shadowed places beneath the stones, his eyes typically squint in moderate to bright light, especially the open sun. Wide, slashing scars cover his forearms, hands and knuckles as rust would mar the surface of worked iron. While not overly muscular, his moderate frame has become more compact and solid through years of constant use.

Typical attire favors function over form, consisting primarily of comfortable yellow pants that tuck into black sandals: a sturdy shirt, affixed with layered metal plates on the front and back, with a single black sleeve; thin scaled metal plates bulge slightly from beneath the elbows of his shirt and the knees of his pants; similar plating covering his upper thighs and over his groin; a sleeveless hooded yellow jacket, too small to close and too short to cover his stomach. Heavy metal bracers cover his forearms, across his wrists and over his knuckles.

    History:
Borne of a brief romance between Shimozuku Korikane and Kimiku Takadoshika during a good-will missive to Iwagakure, resulting in an unexpected pregnancy and a long-distance correspondence. His mother remained in the Land of Earth for reasons he has not yet uncovered, resulting in Yagami being raised by his father and elder sister in Sunakagure prior to her marriage, and subsequent leaving of the compound. Shimozuka often sunk into bouts of depression and voluntary isolation, which distanced him from his children over time and instilled a sense of necessary independence into the youth as Yagami found himself more and more alone and left to his own devices. Yagami spent much of his free wandering near the weathered cliff of the village and exploring many places he probably shouldn’t have, including empty buildings and shallow cave networks.

It was during one such exploration that he lost his footing and nearly fell into a fissure that he first met Sinwayn, a battle-worn village guard that surprised the youth by tempering his scolding for being reckless with a grandfather’s wisdom, speaking to Yagami as though they were old friends. This sense of comradery resounded with him and inspired him to not only take up the path of the Shinobi, but the bo staff as well to emulate the ‘Bones of the Earth’, a legend from his childhood.

His own father remained distanced for the most part, venturing from his room more often to watch his son practice in the courtyard and even offering advice when the bo staff would slip from his grip or strike himself in the shoulder or knees. His routine began to become more rounded following the Academy when he took up carpentry to keep busy and gain a sense of contributing to the family, even if it was just to fund the coffers or small repairs. Shimozuka seemed to ‘awaken’ when it was discovered that Yagami possessed an Earth Affinity, and began training him immediately in the use of the Mud Wall technique. He was less enthusiastic when it turned out to be used most often as scaffolding during construction or as a stepping stone while climbing the foothills. Lightning followed some time after but to a far less degree, becoming all but forgotten during the Chunin Exams when Yagami’s bloodline emerged. An especially difficult bout forced him to ‘dig deep’ into the strength that the Earth offered, and surprised even himself when two of the fingers on his opponent’s hand crystallized and shattered.

His sister Jita Horenza since married and gone, his father spending most of his time sequestered inside, and now his distant relative returned to Heaven, he found himself absconding human contact more as the years past. He felt a newfound comfort with being alone and would have gladly spent the rest of his days on this path if not for a bad storm, where an injured bat found itself trapped on the compound roof. Shinju’s wing had been damaged and would need time to heal, during which the pair bonded deeply. Yagami rediscovered the drive to live not only for himself but for others, though humans in general still made him uncomfortable.

    -Born March 03

    Personality:
Yagami’s temper is akin to a short fuse that is allowed to smolder before flaring up, before which he at least attempts to distance himself from the people getting on his nerves. Hardworking when set to a task, he prefers solitude to the company of other humans. To this end he is far more comfortable around animals than people, and feels that there is still much we can learn from them. Prefers being outside to being confined indoors and is vigilant to the point of paranoia, especially when in urban settings. Becomes fidgety and irritable if cooped up for too long and absolutely abhors the thought of being forced into any sort of bonds of capture. Should this occur he would more than likely alternate between morbid depression, and feral rage.

Trust and loyalty go hand in hand he believes, and is standoffish at first to most. It takes a very long time for him to trust anyone, even his own team-mates. Once his loyalty is earned through time and deed, it is nigh unbreakable and forever barred once it is. Emotionally distant and wary of strangers, he will not hesitate to try and break fingers should someone attempt to touch him or especially Shinju. Often puts up his hood when around people, and it has shown to be a sign of tentative trust if he willingly puts it back down in their presence.

-Kind at heart, persistent and stubborn.
-Honest to a fault, often to the point of social awkwardness.
    -Nurturing towards animals, especially bats.
-Enjoys exploring and climbing alone, working with his hands, and the quiet.

-Distrustful of humans, irritable in their presence and very uncomfortable being in or near crowds.
-Hates being confined to the point of panic.
    -Frequently spits.
-Dislikes others ganging up on the small/weak.

Best foods - Soba noodles and wild hare. Sweet orange chili peppers. Green Tea Ice Cream. Roasted Eel.
    Worst foods - Udon Noodles.

    Roleplay Sample:
The sun was high in the winter sky as a series of duels had been slowly coming to a close abound the outskirts of the training area. Villagers and travelers alike had gathered near the outer walls to watch the spectacle with some of the more enterprising individuals setting their stands close to the action in hopes of drawing in fresh coin. It was here that a young man stood squinting in the light beaming from the sky above and reflecting off the glistening sands, tending to a wood and cloth stand beside what had once been a working well. With the final duelists of the impromptu tournament raising their banners and taking the field, jangling pockets had flocked to partake, mainly to inspect from curiosity, the minutia of skills presented by the Suna shinobi.

Many had come to this tournament with hopes of victory in their hearts, to earn the collective prize put in by the participants. Through skill, determination, strategy and flat out luck, two combatants had risen from the pack to face each other for this coveted honor. The crowd cheered with roaring voice and stomping feet as the combatants made their way to the battle stage. A hooded figure sat on a nearby roof,  casting his earthen-hued eyes over the crowd and taking in the sheer number of bodies swarming about in attempt to garner a better seat, to push on to a shop in their sights or to merely press through in route to their destinations.

Leaning back against the warm worked stone of the roof, a wrapped staff within arm's reach, the weathered young man looked out as a young woman stepped out onto the Northern end of the arena, her short brown hair whipping in the wind along with the red flags that marked the combatant's square. Candako Delitora team had cut through the competition in virtually record time, and they were dead set on a clean sweep. Her simple tunic and pants belied a wicked fierceness on the battlefield, a smoldering drive hidden beneath a calm expression as she sized up her opponent.

Blue flags marked the Southern combatant's square, where Calibaru Konatorin was making his final stand in this competition. Blue eyes looked out over the field to his opponent, the last hurdle on his way to the top. He tightened the strings on the old green shirt higher as he calmed his thoughts for the task at hand, a single black pellet hanging from a thin chain around his neck. He tapped each of the five pouches on his belt in turn, listening to the crowd grow hushed when the Official took her place on the sidelines.

Once in position at the half-field boundary, the Official raised her voice to those assembled. “The rules are as follows, “ said the judge, looking to each Shinobi  in turn. “This match will be non-lethal combat, to be contained entirely within the ring. Tactics are your own so long as they do not endanger the village, or result in death or permanent injury. Medical Corps will be on standby. Are you both ready to proceed?” Candako nodded in return, as did Calibaru. The Official took note of each response and raised her voice once more, projected out and towards the spectators crowding the wall. “The final round will now begin. Commence!”

“Take the stage and give these people a good show!” Candako exclaimed, pulling a kunai from her pouch and dashing forward toward her opponent. Calibaru smiled at the sight, he was certain he had developed a strategy to pull off a win against the flame-breath terror. “I've been looking forward to facing you in battle for some time, and it's time to introduce my new and improved skills.” He made a quick sign with his hands and spat forth a gob of water which grew into a near-perfect replica of himself.

Candako narrowed her eyes at the display, this match was already swaying out of her favor. Cautious, she decided against a frontal assault lest she be caught off guard, and a Finals match was the last place to be reckless. One way or another, Calibaru would know that he had been in a fight. She diverted her course to the right, slashing at the Water Clone as it closed the distance. Blade met blade and set off sparks until she was forced to dive into a roll when her real opponent moved to sweep her legs. The kunai left her hand before she had rolled to her feet, launching out to take the Clone in the throat and reducing it to a puddle as it dispersed.

The real Calibaru put a hand to his throat at the sight, and inadvertently gave his opponent the opening she needed. Candako reached into the pouches on her calves and loosed two volleys of shuriken, one horizontal and one vertical so that they formed a broken cross shape as they flew. Calibaru ducked under the first line and side-stepped the second, standing unscathed with a smirk on his face. The smirk fell when he could not see Candako, until he turned around. She had gotten close and knelt to one knee with her hands forming the Tiger Sign, and looked to be holding a deep breath. Calibaru’s body moved out of reflex as he realized what was going to happen but even then he felt the flames washed over his skin before gaining some distance.

He looked on in disbelief as Candako rose to her feet. “Did you just try to burn my butt off?” he asked incredulously. The kunoichi merely mimicked his earlier smirk and gave a shrug with one shoulder. “There’s a reason I call that maneuver the ‘Hot-Cross Buns’.” Calibaru let out an audible groan as he went back into his combat stance. “I think that name did more damage than the Fireball did.” She simply gave a grunt and resumed her own stance, hands before her with fingers bladed.

I see this is WIP, however I will interject just now seeing as it would be appropriate before you complete your character.

Chuunin is a position we are currently not accepting at the moment in any village. When reading the roster you want to make sure [OPEN] is stated below the rank. The only rank that is infinitely ongoing is Genin. Otherwise we have a Jounin slot in Sunagakure and Kirigakure.

Secondly, the Crystal Release clan has not been registered. Making a member from such a clan would suggest you must register the clan in the process, which I am unsure this is a task you are willing to take.

I'll give it a shot, Crystal-Style is the foundation for most of what I have planned for this character. I fixed the changes on the other thing you mentioned, thank you.

Unfortunately, Sunagakure has been closed. The three remaining villages we have that you may still register are: Kirigakure, Konoha, and Kumogakure.

And as it currently stands for all three of those, there are only Genin slots available.

    XP -1050
Trading in last Skill Point for 500 XP / 450
    Remaining XP = 50

-1 Skill point for starting with advanced element (Doton, Raiton required)
    -1 Skill point for Ninjutsu

So as a Genin you start with three skill points. How having an Advanced Element works is you must spend the required skill points towards the elements that make up your Advanced Element, as well as make any Experience requirements towards unlocking the Bloodline ability.

That being said, you currently have four skill points spent (Misc Craft [which have been renamed to Engineering], Ninjutsu, Raiton, and Doton.) I would personally recommend not focusing on Elements or Ninjutsu for the time being. You could claim Earth and dump the other skill into something you may find useful, but as an E-class Genin you can only learn up to D-rank technique, and when you class up to D-class you will only be limited to C-rank technique. Seeing as most elemental Ninjutsu technique ranks start at C-rank it would be redundant to dump all your skills into a Ninjutsu-heavy build when you would be unable to use the skills you chose.

What do these UAs do precisely?

Thank you for clearing that up, the information really helped. I tweaked the Skill points like you suggested and kept Earth, but shifted Lightning over to Bukijutsu. Since Misc Crafts isn't a thing anymore, I just scrapped it.

The UAs were something I wasn't sure about, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put them in. I added the descriptors and took out the Affinity one, but if they still don't work I can bench them too.

Your skills are fine, however your stats need some fixing.

As a Genin with only 1050 EXP for starting you only have that much to spend towards stat raises. You mentioned trading a Skill point for 500 EXP, however, with three Skills already spent you would have nothing to trade.

    Unique Abilities:
-Survivalist: Time spent wandering the outlying areas of the village has given him a measure of self-sufficiency, giving him insight into how to obtain shelter, food and water on his own.
-Durability: Has an increased threshold for Physical pain, actual damage occurs normally.

Generally for your UAs you want them to have some impact on your character in a more statistic sense than RP.

For your survivalist UA you can have that be apart of your History that you are a big outdoors person.

Durability would play into actually having a statistic advantage, since Constitution plays a role in pain tolerance. Anything in the sense of "Increasing Constitution by one tier in exchange for lowering Speed by one tier" is something that would work. So in this sense you will increase your pain tolerance, but as a result you will move slower. You can sorta play with what stat you want to debuff in this sense. I just gave an example.

If you're having trouble generating ideas for tasteful UAs you can always refer to this topic here: https://gladiusnarutorp.forumotion.com/t547-ua-guide-for-newbies

It practically has every approved UA up to date.

Edited as you've suggested. I set the Speed debuff that you mentioned but wasn't sure if it would boost Con to C but drop Speed to E. If it does I can fix that np.

    Everything looks good.
