Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Shinso Uchiha Mon Feb 19, 2018 10:07 pm

Kotsubo really didn't know what to feel knowing that he had been assigned to be the leader of a new squad, he wasn't against the idea of being a squad leader but he had wondered the responsibilities of such a position, would he have to babysit after the genin he's assigned with most of the time on missions, or he's only simply there to guide them in the right direction? He really didn't know, but perhaps this could be a nice change of pace after the long dull period of just being restless and it's at least something to do as a timewaster. He made sure that notes were sent to the genin two days prior to the actual training itself that he thinks would be a good idea to host, with the note itself being straight to the point, telling the genin the members of their new squad along with the time and place which is the training yard at around 12 PM, it also told them to bring along their gear that they would normally bring for battle as this training would require a bit of sparring.

Kotsubo himself wasn't too far behind as he had already left his house a while ago, he's in his full appearance and ready to go, he wears the standard Kirigakure flak jacket which is slate grey. The Flak jacket is very basic in design and has no pockets. The most notable features of the flak jacket are the extended shoulder guards and lower extensions on either side to protect the lower abdomen. This flak jacket is fastened from the sides by straps, on the back of the flak jacket is the Hoshigaki's clan symbol which is 3 red gills pointed down in a pattern-like matter. Underneath the Flak Jacket Kotsubo wears a darker grey long-sleeved shirt. For his lower body, Kotsubo wears dark-greyed long pants which fits in color with his long-sleeved shirt, leading down to be tucked in to the top of his slate grey sandals. He also has a baldric around his flak jacket which sheathes his sword on his back, he wears his forehead protector around his neck.

Kotsubo himself arrived just slightly before 12 PM at the training yard, going through the entrance to the training area and going towards the nearest open-spaced clearing area so when the genin come through the entrance, they would hopefully notice Kotsubo in the distance, Kotsubo knows he's not exactly that popular but hopefully he's got enough of a reputation for the genin to know what he looks like, he plans that once the whole squad is together, they would introduce themselves so they know who's who, get the interests and ambitions out of the way and then start training briefly in the open space that Kotsubo is currently in, but move it over to the wooded area that's pretty close to the clearing.

He has a few ideas in mind to test the limits and abilities of what the genin are capable of, the only one he really knew about is Tsubaki Kaguya, unless his eyes betray him from reading her file that she's the clan leader of Kaguya, Kotsubo is expecting a great level of taijutsu from her if the file is correct, but that's pretty much all he knows about the genin he'll be leading, he's heard bits and pieces on the other two genin Yumi and Alkaid but not enough to warrant an expectation on what they're capable off. He's sure he'll see soon enough when they come to the training area and get it started.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Tue Feb 20, 2018 1:41 am

Somewhere between her period of rest Tsubaki was given a summon request through mail. It did not surprise her, seeing as she was a high achieving Genin. She made it her effort to either spend her time training or running missions to enhance the economy of the village. It was a mutual favor she did for the village. In exchange for income and a strong body she would receive training from the village's top instructors and in turn her strength would benefit the Kaguya as its leader. She wears a pair of deep blue sandals popular among many Shinobi which is coupled with a lavender haori kimono. The kimono is secured with a blue sash secured around her waist. Beneath the kimono Tsubaki wears a light mesh shirt to provide additional coverage.

Tsubaki herself is of short height among her clan, standing only 5'6 and weight 140 lbs. Just like her kin she shares a very pale, soft skin. This is coupled with sapphire eyes and pearly white hair which extends all the way down to her lower back. Although having a somewhat fit figure her endowed chest and lower body balances her out. She woke up, practicing her daily routine as usual when doing so. It maintained a healthy body and state of mind for the young Kaguya. Finishing her breakfast she left her estate to head to the designated training ground. It was easy enough to find. Her sensei did not request an off-location. Following the signs and waypoints throughout the village she eventually made it to the training grounds.

There was an odd figure standing alone in the cold plains. In fact, the figure was somewhat disturbing. The girl halted to admire the man in the clearing. He was...somewhat a man. A fusion between a man and a shark stood in the open armed to the teeth and geared up in the regular uniform for Kirigakure Shinobi. What is that thing... She clenched her summons in her hands as the Kaguya's body language was insecure. Luckily he stood roughly fifty meters from her location, thus not officially in speaking range. Or at least what most people would not bother attempting to start a conversation. This gave her time to brace herself. She checked behind her to see if her teammates have arrived yet. Unfortunately, none were in sight. She swallowed harshly before she overcame her kiddish behavior and decided too approach.

Still maintaining a variable distance Tsubaki stood roughly five meters from the Jounin not attempting to draw attention or start a conversation, but more-so waiting there obediently in silence waiting for her comrades. She did not bother to look at him, either. She kept a steady eye on him through her peripheral vision. He can eat me at any moment...I can't let my guard down! In this case, she waited for "reinforcements" to arrive.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Tue Feb 20, 2018 3:18 am

A cute yawn came into existence as a ray of sun peaked its way through open curtains into a dark room. Rising from the entrapment of sleep was a petite individual barely five foot in height, messy long black hair cascading down their form. A pair of tired crimson red hues that shimmered like diamonds turned towards the clock; the time was ten in the morning. A small hand, with skin as white as snow, lifted to wipe the sleep from those tender eyes as a frail figure began to climb out of bed. The sheet fell to the ground, the darkness cloaking the persons form from view, hiding their identity. Crossing the ray of light, their form was illuminated as they wore a light purple bed yukata that hung off their body exposing soft shoulders. The person was a young girl of maybe ten years or perhaps slightly older weighing only 88lbs. The 'little girl' blinked cutely as she made her way out of her darkened bedroom into the bathroom to shower and prepare for the day. She had been up all night working on a new concoction in the laboratory just across from her room, finishing up around four this morning before deciding to hit the hay.

Taps turned as warm water cascaded down from the shower head. The lolita slid out of her yukata and undergarments before slipping into the shower. Water cascaded down her slender frame, steam rising blocking her form from view. Steam filled the bathroom, allowing only the slim shadow of the girls figure to be seen. The snow-white beauty remained stationary in the shower for a good minute enabling the heat to wake her up before beginning the daily routine of cleaning her body. The sweet smell of lavender filled the air with the soap used on delicate skin. Lavender mixed in with luscious black locks, half an hour soon passed. Stepping out a tiny hand grabbed a white towel and wrapped it around their frame, before using a second to wrap up their hair.

Leaving the bathroom, water dripping down alabaster legs she approached her closet sliding the door open, revealing a decent sized wardrobe. The petite girl grabbed the first thing, a light purple long sleeve yukata with red inner lining. The yukata had a design of a white maple tree, with long branches and leaves covering its entire length. The lolita placed it on her bed, walking over to a dresser to retrieve the undergarments for the day. Once the first level of modesty was set, the young girl slipped the Yukata in place, making sure to dress appropriately. Grabbing a sapphire blue sash, the girl tied it around her waist using a large human-sized mirror. A perfect bow was tied at the back, the girl sat on her bed, sliding a pair of white tabi over dainty feet, accompanied by waraji. One would typically put the tabi and waraji on first before the yukata, but the Yukata had been modified allowing for easier movement, including bending over.

Using tender brush strokes, the girl brushed her long black hair, before adding two flower ornaments in, one each side. Onee the first half was done, she checked the clock it was eleven already. Padding her clothing, the girl stood up and approached a chest, opening the chest revealed an assortment of ninja gear. The tanto slid its way into the back of the sash hidden behind the bow, the tsuka or handle of the blade angled to the right for more natural drawing. A pair of wrist holsters came next and were placed beneath the Yukata sleeves attached to the forearms, inside each holster alone kunai and two senbon needles. Four senbon were removed from the chest and two placed behind each flower arrangement in her hair, concealing the needles. A shinobi pouch was placed on the right hip, behind the sash concealing it, while a scroll on the left side. The sash kept all three items in place.

The girl took a deep breath and approached the human-sized mirror, allowing it to reflect her entire form. The girl stared at herself, a twinkle appearing in crimson hues as a twisted smile began to form, one that did not fit. "Ah what a good day to be me." The lolita licked luscious pink lips; an evil spark twinkled in those crimson eyes. "I must admit while originally an act, I do quite enjoy this routine." The little 'girl' giggled evilly; the truth was she was not a she at all. For this was Hateshiginai, Yumi a fifteen-year-old genin, medic nin in training, amateur illusionist and above all male.

Yumi left his bedroom shutting the door as he walked to the kitchen retrieving an apple from the bowl on the counter and took a bite. As he bit into the apple, the mail slot on the door of his apartment flapped as a message fell to the tiled floor. Yumi raised a curious eyebrow and approached it, picking it up with his free hand, the left. Raising the note to eye level, Yumi was surprised to find out it was a summoning message. Reading the contents, the Genin was surprised to find she/he was finally being placed on a Genin squad and his sensei was someone named Hoshigaki Kotsubo. A Hoshigaki that peaked Yumi's interest he hadn't seen one of those before. Perhaps he could try and get a skin or even a blood sample for his experiments.

Yumi bundled the note, grabbing the keys to his apartment from the nearby table and walked out, locking the door behind him. The note said to meet his teacher at twelve pm, listed were instructions to follow to reach the training field they would be using. Yumi took a bite of his apple, quickly getting back to his female character. Yumi wouldn't reveal his true self to anyone, not even his team-mates and teacher, not unless the circumstances called for it.  Putting on a charming smile, the Female Yumi returned as she bounded towards the training fields following the instructions in the summons.

Yumi would wave to everyone she met, greeting them politely along the way. This persona had already gained a little bit of fame in the village, known for her bubbly, kind and gentle nature, always ready to lend a hand. She was like a ray of sunshine in the village. The little 'girl' hummed a gentle tune while making her way through Kirigakure to the training fields, all too eager to meet up with her new sensei and team-mates. On arrival, the little lolita was met with two individuals. As if not sensing any tension or danger she promptly bounded towards them, hair bouncing about as she appeared full of energy.

The first to come into sight was an overly tall male if he could be called that. The man was six foot two, with blue skin, gills and shark-like features. From that alone, Yumi guessed he was her instructor, Hoshigaki Kotsubo. The other was a girl who was much taller than Yumi's four foot ten as she was easily five six maybe five seven, it was hard to tell from a distance. The girl was a white-haired beauty with matching skin, sapphire blue eyes wearing a lavender haori kimono, secured by a blue sash. It seemed as if the girl shared Yumi's ideas of fashion being.

The lolita bounced up until she was standing at a point two meters from each, standing at what would be the point of a triangle. The little girl raised her right hand and waved it enthusiastically, a beaming smile on her adorable petite features, "Hai Hai!" beckoned the little girl with a small bounce. She shut her eyes, tilting her head to the right only to enhance her cute factor. Yumi was bouncing on her heels, acting all the part of a young child. "I'm Yumi pleased to meet you." The little lolita grew a little serious as she then placed her hands in front of her, folding them in her lap and bowed to bow. "I'll be in your care." Standing back up that childish yet adorable smile returned. Yumi could simply be described as an overly energetic child.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Chika Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:14 pm

There was a certain cafe located near the heart of the market Kirigakure district.  Being very plain many people would pass by it without even noticing it’s existence and yet it seemed to have customers.

The reason for this wasn’t it’s menu which was ordinary or it’s prices which where average but because it was a front used by the phantom organization Alkaid belonged to for clandestine meeting's where members could exchange information out in the open without anyone suspecting a thing.

Officially the organization didn’t have a name, but then again officially they didn’t even exist.  A black ops off the books operation, they where simply shadows. Able to do jobs that the average ninja who were closer to soldiers then spies could not.

Alkaid was sitting at a table sipping a cup of steaming coffee as she spoke quietly to a man in his twenties.  Today she was wearing her Hitai-ate as a headband along with a simple outfit that consisted of a long sleeve beige top that cut off just above her breasts leaving her shoulders exposed along with a pair of red sports shorts and as usual a set of shinobi sandals.

She was the splitting image of her cousin, to the point people would mistake them for being twins if they didn’t know any better.  If they both happened to wear the same outfit the only way to tell them apart was that Alkaid wore her hair shorter and had a smaller bust size.

The man puffing quietly away at a cigar as he listened to everything she had to tell him about the results of the servery project he had tasked her with.    A simple profiling mission to write up dossier of as many of her fellow mist ninja as she could.

Their wasn’t much point to the Intel she was gathering.  Most of the info she gathered wasn’t anything the shadows didn’t already know.  It was more a training exercise then for practical purposes and would serve to give her a good foundational knowledge of the people she’d be working with and around in the future.

“That’s it?” the man groused surprised by how little she’d brought him.  The first paper on the Kagyua’s clan leader had been through enough to be impressive but the rest wasn’t much of much value.

Taking out his lighter he burned the pages Alkaid had written on Yui and Yanagi.  The report said they had contacted the plague which meant they where as good as dead in the man’s eyes since so far nobody had recovered from that.  To him dossier on dead people where worse then useless since they simply cluttered things up and made finding relevant info that much harder to get when you needed it.

The rest was a report on a dead kid and how Alkaid had followed leads to determine his identity and who his likely killer was.  The fact she’d managed to figure that out showed that her training hadn’t all gone to waste, the problem was that frankly the Mizukage wouldn’t give a damn.

“I have to admit that you did a good job working the case. I just wish you’d put that energy towards more productive matters.” the man said with a sigh as he finished his first cigar and went to light a second one only to quickly put it back into his pocket as Alkaid glared at him so sharply he was afraid she was going stab him if he continued.

“I hate to say it but if the kids was too weak oh well. Better to be culled now then during the middle of an important mission.   Speaking of which I have a new task for you.” said the man as he handed Alkaid a note.   The instructions inside where simple enough telling her when and where to meet up with her new team.

Seeing the look of annoyance on Alkaid’s face at being lumped with others that would only get in the way of her spying the man simple grinned. “You’re a good spy but you’re not strong enough to send out into the field on your own yet.  Think of this as a learning experience.  Besides I’m sure you’ll be happy once you see who you’re teaming up with.” he replied.

“How much of my hand should I show?” asked Alkaid who’d been ordered to keep her true strength a concealed . On paper her stats where an average d across the board.  The truth wasn’t much beyond that yet but it was enough to give her a slight edge against people that weren’t expecting it.   More importantly the fact she had awakened her bloodline was also a carefully guarded secret.

“Since you’ll be working with them closely I’ll leave that to your discretion. But these should help you maintain your cover for now.” said the man as he placed a pair of swords on the table. One Katana and a slightly smaller Wakizashi to go with it.  After all what was a swordswoman without her swords.  He’d also been kind enough to include holsters for them.

Shaking her head no Alkaid pushed the swords back towards him refusing to take them.  It was almost sad in a way that should could literally forge better quality weapons then these out of her body any time she wanted to but the very act of doing so would give away her bloodline on the spot. Her secret was bound to come out sooner or later so why bother hiding it from her team mates?

“I am the bone of my sword.”
she said as two handles erupted from her exposed shoulder blades with a sicking pop. Reaching out a hand she tugged on them drawing out a pair of bones that had been formed into swords that would look almost identical to the ones her handler had just tried to give her expect for the fact they where pure white and obviously not made from metal.

“What? If anybody asks where I got them from I could just say Tsubaki made them for me or something.” said Alkaid trying to be reassuring as she spun the bone swords around and attached them to her belt.    “Welp I’m off.” she said with a wave as she dashed out the door before her handler realized she had just stuck him with the bill.

    -------------------------

Alkaid ran towards the training grounds cursing under her breath.  If only her handler had given her the note first before having her make her report she could have been here sooner.  Everything she’d needed to tell him had been in the papers she’d handed over so they could have skipped the the step of repeating it orally.   Now she was in danger of running late since she’d been given so little notice.

“Great, I just had to be the last one here.” She thought to herself sourly as she spotted a small group of people loitering around as she ran into the park at full speed, though made sure to pretend to be holding her hands in the seal for the body flicker jutsu to make it seem she was boosting her speed instead of it being her actual base.

“Sorry for the wait.  Alkaid has arrived.” she announced flamboyantly as she burst onto the scene and came skidding to a stop before the trio.  She’d been moving slightly faster then her perception could keep up with which had made her vision slightly blurry until now and was pleasantly surprise to find herself face to face with her beloved cousin.

“Onee-sama!” she exclaimed her face lighting up with joy.  Of all the people to be on the same team as her what where the chances it would be with the person she enjoyed spending time with the most in the entire world?

Taking a moment to eye her other team mates she nodded her head in approval.  The first was a cute small girl with black hair and crimson eyes wearing a yukata that seem extremely suited to her tiny frame.  She seemed almost frail upon first impressions but Alkaid knew better then anyone to take that at face value when dealing with a ninja.

The second was a person she had never met before but knew of in passing.  Kotsubo had a reputation as being a really strong sword user and word on the street was he was currently a favorite in the running to to become one of the seven.  Given that Alkaid was a swordswoman herself she couldn’t have picked a more suitable teacher to learn from if she had tried.   Most of her clan where fairly closed off to outsiders, but Alkaid was much more open to them thanks to her academy training and was currently staring at Kotsubo with open admiration.

“So cool!!!” she whispered seemingly completely unfazed by the fact he was a fishman with razor sharp teeth.   It seemed her handler had been right about her being happy with her team assignement.[/b]

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Shinso Uchiha Wed Feb 21, 2018 12:36 am

Kotsubo had simply waited for the three girls to get their greetings out of the way, waiting to speak until he felt it was appropriate, he had noticed he seemed to have scared Tsubaki with his appearance alone while the black-haired girl hadn't minded him too much, and then the last one which he assumed was the other Kaguya, Alkaid who had admired the sight of him, whether this was on his reputation or on his appearance he didn't know but he'd find it a bit more interesting if it's his appearance as he knows he usually scares people off more then excite or make them curious, when the three had exchanged greetings Kotsubo would start to speak.

"Greetings, you three. I'm glad all of you managed to make it, I'll be straight to the point... we'll start training soon but before we do, I believe a bit of information might be needed about each other. I'm sure some of you might be familiar with the other but I believe we should do it anyway to ensure there's no misunderstanding. I'll start off first." he then placed his now clenched fist near his mouth, clearing up his throat and started to speak once more. "I am Kotsubo of the Hoshigaki Clan, for those of you who don't know the Hoshigaki are known for having fish-like features as you can see on me." opening up his mouth a bit to show his pointy teeth much more clearly then before, if the three hadn't picked up on it before, he then closed his mouth and then showed the sides of his face a bit more clearly to show his gills and then, he faced the genin once more. "We are also known for our bloodlust, but don't worry... you won't have to be afraid of that around me." as evidenced by his clearly calm composure he has shown by talking to them so far, also by the fact that they may not know this, but Kotsubo has mastered control over his bloodlust a long time ago, if he were to ever attack his own genin, it wouldn't be in his right mind and that's only when he activates his bloodrage mode.

"Now... my motivation, you could say it's to continue becoming a better ninja overall in terms of strength, whether that road is to become a better swordsman and aim to become one of the seven swordsmen of the mist, or just continue on the road I'm on in learning jutsu, I don't know, I'll see where my path will go in time." he then looked to the three girls and thought back to when they saw Kotsubo first, so far Tsubaki had shown herself to be slightly timid, Yumi to be a energetic child and Alkaid... well, excitable? he already knew about Alkaid and Tsubaki being from the Kaguya clan, but he wanted to hear how they would word it to get a better lock on their personalities, as well as to how Yumi would introduce herself to get a better idea about her.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Fri Feb 23, 2018 2:27 am

The first newcomer was another oddity. Her skin was as pale as hers, to the point of almost being transparent. Of smooth, delicate skin was tarnished by crimson eyes and blackened hair. She was fairly young as well, which was surprising. Tsubaki was nearly eighteen now and was still classified as a Genin to her resident village. Her rank did not bother her much, though. It was her own personal skill that mattered and her ability to lead her clan. She felt no shame in sharing a rank with a girl potentially even ten years younger than her. Older or younger, they were both considered the same skill. She was more easy with her around, partially convincing herself she was a potential "genius" and if the shark man ever did go feral she could easily outrun her, leaving the loli to the savage fish-man's desires. She introduced herself in a cheerful manner, something that was comforting in her current situation. Judging the shark man's reaction to the loli's introduction, he was a mild-tempered sensei.

In a short moment of silence the presence of the third arrival came at high speeds. A cloud trail of kicked up dirt was left in her wake as she came to an abrupt stop, body heaving as her heels broke into the hearth. The short white hair and sapphire blue eyes put Tsubaki's heart to work. "Al-chan!" Tsubaki had the urge to embrace her dearest cousin, though in attempts to maintain professionalism she clench her fists raising them to her chest, the tension withholding her excitement. As Alkaid admired the Hoshigaki, Tsubaki could not help but suddenly have a wave of confidence overcome her. If her cousin could handle it, certainly the leader of the Kaguya Clan could, right? The girl's body language naturally became less tense. Shortly, their sensei would begin speaking.

To her own surprise, he sounded human. The man, who introduced himself as Kotsubo Hoshigaki, went into detail about his background and more particularly his heritage. A cold sweat came over the Kaguya unaware her body language was that vulnurable. She was unsure if Alkaid or even Yumi noticed this in her. As he finished his introduction there was a brief awkward silence between the squad. Little did Tsubaki know, Kotsubo expected some sort of introduction from the three girls. In the silence, Tsubaki exclaimed finally catching on. "Oh! I'm Tsubaki Kaguya. I am the current leader of the Kaguya clan, though I may not look like it. My motivation is to bring good value to the Kaguya name and allow it to grow into a major, powerful clan.
I want the Kaguya to develop the respect it deserves."
Tsubaki placed her hands on her hips, nodding with confidence. She was an exceptional Genin as it currently stood. Although she was a bit cautious about Kotsubo, she is still very excited to finally receive professional help once again.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Fri Feb 23, 2018 3:40 am

Crimson hues twinkled with excitement, but deep down they sparkled with mischief, hidden behind the enthusiasm of a childlike vision. The final member of the team had arrived, another girl. As the first of Yumi's team-mates, she too was taller than Yumi standing about the same height as the white-haired kimono wearing Kunoichi. The new girl had wavy white hair and bright sapphire blue eyes with a thin athletic frame. The girl addressed herself as Alkaid before focusing on the white-haired Kunoichi calling her Onee-sama. 'Onee-sama' also addressed Alkaid back simply as 'Al-chan' revealing more to the relationship between them. Yumi guessed they were either related or close to one another to the point of a sibling relationship. The way her face lit up with joy told Yumi the girl must be incredibly close or had deep familiar feelings for the other kunoichi. The respectful use of Sama indicated to Yumi that perhaps this Alkaid respected and maybe even looked up to the other Kunoichi who was yet to be identified.

Yumi's focus was drawn as Alkaid seemed to look on at the Hoshigaki with admiration. The lolita showed no outward reaction, merely keeping up her cute little smile, to hold the act Yumi was going for. The challenge would be to try and fool her teacher and fellow team-mates for as long as possible. Yumi enjoyed a challenge, she/he was curious to see just how well their acting skills could hold up under the constant pressure of being around others.

Their sensei began his greetings, starting off by saying he would get straight to the point, that before they begin training, they should tell each other a little about themselves, before going first. Yumi acted as her eyes widened and beamed with amazement as Kotsubo showed off his razor-sharp teeth. "Sugoi (Awesome)!" Exclaimed the Lolita as she stood on tippy toes, her arms raising up to go along with her action. Inwardly Yumi didn't particularly care about the man's motivations; all Yumi cared about if he would be able to aid in her quest for knowledge.

As their sensei finished, a silence fell upon them. Yumi's curious crimson gaze fell between each of her team-mates, before falling back to her sensei. One would see this as an act of a curious child, when in fact Yumi was still sizing them all. The kimono wearing Kunoichi eventually broke the silence, introducing herself as Tsubaki. Yumi's eyes turned towards the now identified Tsubaki, unknown to the Kaguya that Yumi's eyes caught the meaning behind the kunoichi's body language, she was tense, perhaps even feeling vulnerable. It seemed this Tsubaki seemed to be the nervous type, perhaps even timid, but until Yumi knew more, she couldn't say. Though her being the head of the Kaguya clan peaked Yumi's interest ever so slightly.  A Kaguya, did that mean Alkaid was one as well? They both did share the distinct clan traits the Kaguya were known for. If Yumi could get a sample of blood or even bone marrow from them, she could experiment to see what made their bloodline tick.

Yumi forced down her inner scientist so not to blow her cover on the first day. As Tsubaki began rounding her speech up, Yumi pondered what she would say. As the Kaguya head finished, it was the medic's turn. The lolita bounced on her heels with pure excitement as she raised an arm up high, "Hateshiginai, Yumi here!" Exclaimed the jolly lolita as she took a pose, legs spread apart, left hand on her left hip while her right was up by her forehead doing a 'V' sign, she was doing a V pose, like some magical girl.

"I'm a support Kunoichi, specialising in Ijutsu, Medicines and Genjutsu! I like candy, cute things, eating, dancing, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, painting and music. I dislike uncute things and bullies. I enjoy making new techniques in my spare time. Some of my skills include various styles of dancing, trained in the ways of proper etiquette, performing tea ceremonies, painting, playing the zither, flute and similar instruments, illusions, healing oh and writing in calligraphy. My motivation is to become the best medic there is and save as many lives as I can." Blurted out the jolly lolita, adding information that probably wasn't necessary. From her likes and skills alone would put across the point that Yumi hadn't purely trained in shinobi skills, but also skills for young noble ladies, often those who were to become brides.

"Oh also I don't like fighting or killing, it goes against my healers code. I will fight if I have to, but I'd rather not" added the lolita to stress the point that she was more of a supporter than a frontline fighter, especially seeing that she specialised in medical and illusion techniques. Throughout her introduction Yumi remained as bubbly as ever as if nothing could bring her down, almost as if she was on a constant sugar high.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Nikuyo Fri Feb 23, 2018 10:40 pm

Nikuyo's sensory skills picked up four signatures to his north, the third such set he had come across since he began his search in the training grounds of Kirigakure. He was fully decked out in all of his armor, though he only had two tekken in a pouch on his left thigh, a trench knife on his right hip, and a few small arms in a pouch on his right thigh. None of this made any noise, as he had been utilizing the Silent Killing technique to remain completely silent as he made his way through the area. He wanted to see if the jonin would be able to detect him in some way despite not being able to hear anything. A gut instinct was as good as any sense, a lesson Nikuyo has learned from hard experience. His scarred face bore no sign of the immense irritation he had boiling inside of him, his talent as an actor from his younger days coming in handy.

The Mizukage would come within hearing distance as the young medical kunoichi began to speak her desires for her future. The words she spoke were a blatant insult to the meaning of what a shinobi was to a man like Nikuyo. Not wanting to fight? What did she think shinobi did? It was their job, even a support shinobi. As a way to announce his presence, he would acknowledge the girl's comments with a reply as cold and merciless in tone as his own black soul as soon as he was within speaking distance. Whether he was detected or not would not matter at all in regards to his response.

"A shinobi who does not kill is the first one to die. Don't ever believe otherwise." His eyes bore down
into the young genin's own, a consuming hatred dulling the two orbs sunk into their sockets from lack of sleep. He would stop after saying these words, his 6'8" frame towering over everybody else present. After speaking to the young genin, his eyes would shift to the eldest among the four. He had the appearance of a shark, matching the description he had received from the file. The same cold, empty tone would mark his statement to him just as it had the genin. "And for your sake, your name had better be Kotsubo Hoshigaki."

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Chika Sat Feb 24, 2018 1:31 am

Just hearing her nickname was enough to brighten up Alkaid’s already sunny disposition.  She was nearly overcome by the urge to glomp her cousin on the spot but narrowly managed to fight it off.  As much as she hated it sometimes she did have to maintain at least some level of professional decorum while on duty.

Listening to  Kotsubo talk about himself and his clan Alkaid bopped her head up in down in fastenation as she hung onto his ever word.  As far as mutations went she’d have to rank fish like features pretty high on the charts.   Just the ability to breath underwater if he had that alone would be extremely useful.

Too bad about the blood lust though. She believed him when he said that he had it under control but she would hazard a guess that Kotsubo was more the exception then the rule in that department.  It was a shame but she’d have to cross the Hoshigaki clan off the list of her secret eugenics project.  The Kaguya clan was already violent enough as it was without adding berserker rage into the mix.

Besides she wanted her kids to be at least be able to pass as normal so they wouldn’t be ostracized from the rest of the family.  Blue skin and gills would be dead give away that something was off, not to mention the teeth cool as they where.  She’d like to think that under Tsubaki’s leadership the clan was slowly becoming more open to outsiders, but she wasn’t naive enough to think they’d become THAT accepting during her lifetime.

Glancing over at Tsubaki to see what she thought of their new instructor Alkaid blinked in confusion when she was how tense her cousins body language was.  She wasn’t sure there was to be worried about but then again Tsubaki was pretty good at picking up on some things that Alkaid couldn’t.  For now Alkaid simply put a reassuring hand on her cousins shoulder silently telling her that she was their for her.

Alkaid couldn’t help but feel a little flabbergasted as Yumi made her introduction.  It wasn’t often she ran into individuals who where so high energy as herself which put her at a loss since she wasn’t quite sure how to deal with someone who was so similar. Thought Alkaid tended more towards being chuunibyouish rather then pure sugar high like Yumi.

As Yumi talked about herself it gave Alkaid a good idea why she had been chosen for this particular team composition.  They had Tsubaki to be their heavy hitter.  Yumi for support and then herself as something in between which made for a well balanced unit, useful for a wide verity of tasks.   Yumi continued to talk, this time about how she didn’t like to fight causing Alkaid to give her a sideways look almost like she couldn’t quite believe what she had heard.

She was one of the first to insist that not all Kiri ninja where blood thirsty psychos but the truth was if it came down to it she’d have no problem stabbing almost any of their enemies in the back if the opportunity arose.   She’d even kill civilians if she had to, although those she would feel bad about it afterwards.

It was only once her clan became involved that things got a bit tricky.  If one of her clan members turned traitor and went rouge she liked to think she could deal with hunting them down. Beyond that was up in the air. Even she didn’t know if she would pick family or duty if forced to chose, though she could say with absolute certainty that she would rather die then bring harm to Tsubaki.

Alkaid had an uneasy feeling. Something felt off but she couldn’t quite put her finger on what it could be.  Shrugging it off she decided that two could play this game and stepped foward to introduce herself when a voice from seemingly out of nowhere nearly made her jump out of her skin, though she put on her best poker face in an attempt to hide the fact she’d been startled.

“Holy shit it’s the Mizukage!” she though to herself, only not blurting the words out by virtue of her extensive training to keep calm under pressure.   She was feeling a rush of both anticipation and dread at the fact he had decided to grace them with his presence.  Despite him being her boss she had never met the man directly, but everyone knew him by sheer reputation.

She’d seen him speak at events before but never from this close.  The sight of his colossal form standing over them in his full regalia was both as imposing as it was awe inspiring.  This was the preeminent warrior in all the land,  his strength transcend and supreme.   The pinnacle of which all swordsman such as herself strove to reach.

What was the proper protocol for a situation such as this? Was she supposed to salute or bow?  Or was it kneel?   She wasn’t quite sure because normally the Mizukage couldn’t be bothered and most of their orders came thought an intermediary as did all of her reports.

As the initial adrenalin rush from being surprised quickly wore off she was actually starting to feel annoyed at having her introduction so rudely interrupted like that.  Bad enough that she had a rival for being preppy but now someone had to go and steal her thunder.   If it had been just about anyone else ruining her moment she would have spoken up up and said “um excuse me.”  but she had enough sense to know she had to be a bit more tactful with someone of the Mizukage’s disposition less he end her on the spot.

Then again maybe someone of that disposition would respect someone who had some actual backbone for once since he would be used to people pissing themselves on the spot or act like sniveling toads. As a Kaguya she had the strongest bones of them all so she might as well act like it.

“If you don’t mind sire, before you take Kotsubo-sensai away for a mission allow me to finish our introductions.” ventured Alkaid doing her best to keep her voice steady as she glanced the Mizukage in the eyes exchanging a meaningful look from one actor to another before placing one hand over her heart patriotically and bowing her head in respect.

“Alkaid Kayuya - The silent sword” she said dramtically as she gave everyone a polite curtsy.  There was so much more she wanted to say, like how she was named after the most eastern star in the Big Dipper constellation and how she’d gotten her title but she was going to have to make this quick less she test the Mizkage’s patience.

“I am a thespian and information specialist.” she said saying she was a spy for anyone able to read between the lines without directly stating the fact. “My hobby is knitting and I like swords.”  she spared a quick glance at Tsubaki feeling a bit too embarrassed to admit the she also liked her cousin right while the Mizukage was watching and judging her, less he think her overly sentimental.

“My motivation is to become the 8th swordsman of the mist, because it’s the blade the enemy doesn’t know exists that will kill them.” she said giving the Mizukage another meaningfully look. Unlike Yumi she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and she wanted her lord to know it.  Despite the title she’d been given she didn’t actually know how to use silent killing, but perhaps if she played her cards right and impressed him Nikuyo would grand her access to the restricted scroll.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Shinso Uchiha Sat Feb 24, 2018 3:00 am

Kotsubo folded his arms as he started to listen to the introductions of the genin he's now leading, eyeing Tsubaki carefully as she made her introduction, showing a very clear interest as he didn't expect one of his students to be the leader of a Kirigakure Clan, so he listened carefully to what she had to say and he wasn't disappointed, he could relate to wanting her clan having the respect it deserves but in a different matter in his case, the Hoshigaki clan is considered unorthodox, a clan that simply got the wrong end of the mutations for how the Hoshigaki looked but hopefully as Kotsubo's strength gets out in not only Kirigakure, but the world... perhaps it'll turn a few heads and they'll see the Hoshigaki is not to be ticked off so easily. "A noble goal, Tsubaki. I'll look forward to seeing how you'll achieve it."

Next, he listened to the next girls introduction, who called herself Yumi. It seems she isn't apart of any considerate clan in Kiri from what he could tell, but he didn't exactly write her off that easily until he started to hear her interests and what she did. He didn't really listen to much of what she was saying when it came to dancing, what she liked to eat, whatever. What really intrigued him is her ability to use healing jutsu and Genjutsu. He might've underestimated her a bit sooner then he thought, as jutsus of those categoies are very useful if used by the right person. He'll see how good she is when it comes to what he has planned for training.

Something started to bother him however, especially during midway through Yumi's introduction, a scent had suddenly jumped up on Kotsubo's nose, he could smell a weird combination of cheese and... alcohol? he started to look around and saw no one else was around. "Is someone else here?" he thought, it smelled to him like someone was but he couldn't put his finger on it, until a large figure suddenly showed in-front of the figure, talking on about Yumi's introduction and her healers code, from the dark figure and the chilling vibe he's getting from this figure... only one person in Kiri had such an aura about him, and that's the Mizukage.

After the Mizukage questioned Kotsubo if he's Kotsubo, he gave a small nod, his rather chilled and calm attitude from earlier now going serious as he stood in a soldier like manner. "Yes, I am Kotsubo Hoshigaki." however, before he could hear what the Mizukage had to say it seems Alkaid had gotten into the conversation, clearly wanting to introduce herself, before she would somehow anger the Mizukage however Kotsubo said "I hope you don't mind her introducing herself, this is the first time our entire squad is meeting up and everyone else has introduced themselves so far, she's the last one... I hope you don't mind waiting a few seconds?" it seems his request didn't matter as Alkaid went on to introduce herself anyway, Kotsubo only hoped the Mizukage isn't mad about it.

He started to listen to Alkaid's introductions, thinking it would be a similar introduction to Yumi how she likes this and that, but it was far more to the point, especially taking interest at her title, also noting about her skills she stated that appears to be spy-related, but it seems she has an interest in extending her skills in Kenjutsu, and surprisingly out of all the three introductions so far, he showed a surprised look for when she said she plans to become the 8th Swordsman of the Mist while looking at the Mizukage, Kotsubo's surprise soon turned into a smile, liking the bold move that Alkaid just pulled.

Kotsubo had waited for the Mizukage to put his input onto what Alkaid just said, if he has any at all, otherwise he would simply press onto the matter as to what the Mizukage is doing here. "Lord Mizukage, I smelled something that was off and thought someone else was here, but I didn't think it'd be you." a jutsu that allows one to be reduced into zero visibility? sounds like silent killing to Kotsubo, quite a useful jutsu that Kotsubo would hope to get someday, but he'll focus on that for when it really matters. "I assume you're not here for a social visit, did you need me for something?" he asked briefly to the Mizukage.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Sun Feb 25, 2018 10:55 pm

Tsubaki was more or less not interested in the introductions. She knew Alkaid like the back of her hand, and didn't expect much out of sensei. Sensei generally kept their personal lives from their Genin, so the introductions served for the benefit of the three of them. As for her opinions on Yumi, well, Tsubaki had no interest getting to know her. She trusted Yumi and would associate with her during their team meetings, but Tsubaki felt there was no reason why she would try to take their relationship further. Yumi somewhat reminded her of Kagetsu. She developed some form of trust for that woman. It seemed her former sensei and Yumi share similar appearances having blackened hair, red eyes, and pale skin. It was odd, and Tsubaki did not like odd. The xenophobic nature of the Kaguya clan seeped into even the youngest of their kind, Tsubaki included. She would loathe Yumi internally. Just like any great leader she would not let her emotions get in her way. Plus, how could she feel so flustered with Alkaid with her? She was the silver lining in the entire situation.

Tsubaki acknowledged something off about Kotsubo. A small wrinkle of his nose followed by a curious look on his face led her to believe something was off. The Kaguya lifted her head into the air trying to catch what Kotsubo was smelling. She discovered nothing but the smell of humidity and vegetation. A shadow was closing in. A very large shadow. Tsubaki waited in awe as to who he was or what he wanted. He was a big fat meany at first impression. Despite not being a fan of Yumi he treated her awfully brash. A man should know better than to crush a young girl and her dreams. Afterwards he asked, or rather demanded, the her sensei was Kotsubo. Being up close Tsubaki smelled cheese and alcohol, two components she quickly learned to dislike and will forever be associated with this man. The princess knew better than express her hatred. She was confident, but not retarded. She would be outmatched from the beginning.

And to her surprise, she was wise to hold her tongue. Lord...Mizukage? She was dumbfounded. How could such a large, old man hold such a title? She thought Kage were supposed to be strong, respectful, and especially young like a prince. This man looked like the exact opposite. If he was the Mizukage it begged to question what he was doing here interrupting their training with Kotsubo. At the very least, after being introduced to the Mizukage he made Yumi and Kotsubo appear as more likable characters to the young Kaguya maiden. Tsubaki stayed silent, cooing to herself as the events between the Mizukage and Sensei unfolded. Certainly, this would not turn out as a pleasant encounter.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Mon Feb 26, 2018 1:03 am

When the cold and merciless tone cut through the air, Yumi immediately turned towards it, crimson eyes locking onto the six-foot-eight-inch giant frame of the Mizukage himself. The tiny lolita looked up at the massive giant, to her he was a giant considering how short the Medic Nin was. The medic almost snorted in amusement, the keyword was almost, as she held it back, along with any disdain that wanted to flash in those pools of hers. Yumi steeled her expression ensuring the mask she had created didn't slip, allowing a serene smile to stick to her lips and a gentle twinkle to flash in her crimson pools. The man had yet to pierce through her own veil to realise the truth that stood before him. If it wasn't for the smell of lavender that clung to Yumi's body, the smell of blood could be detected on her body, but the Mizukage wasn't within range to pick it up.

Yumi was someone whose hands were stained with blood. She had a fascination with retrieving fresh cadavers to conduct her experiments on, cutting in flesh to examine organs, nervous system and the blood stream. Yumi was also adept at gathering living bodies for live experiments before ending their lives. Yumi wasn't some innocent child like she portrayed, Yumi's career was stained with blood, heck Yumi had even killed her own parent's thanks to her own deranged psyche. Not that the Mizukage would know, unless he dived into her past, she doubted the Kage would bother himself with a Genin like herself.

She was almost tempted to pretend to brush her fingers through her hair, removing one of the senbon needles stashed their and throw it at one of the Mizukage's eyes. Yumi may be deranged, but she wasn't stupid, the last thing the Genin was going to do was piss the Mizukage off by attacking him, most likely she would end up dead for it.

Yumi was slightly overwhelmed by the Mizukage's overbearing nature but didn't let it show keeping any signs of her being visibly uncomfortable locked down. She only smiled sweetly up at the Mizukage, before retorting in a polite, delicate and gentle tone, "I've managed to survive the first four years of my Shinobi career and I'm still here.  I'm quite adept at using my medical skills and knowledge to conserve not only my life but that of my comrades. After all, if I die first, who's going to save my platoon when the time comes if no medic is available?" If Yumi had been aware of Tsubaki's thoughts about Yumi's age when she revealed the number of years she had been a Genin perhaps she might have taken some kind of pleasure in what the Kaguya would think upon her little declaration. But Yumi wasn't a mind reader.

The Medic titled her head to the right giving an eye smile, "And while I said I don't like to kill, I never said I wouldn't, just that I'd rather not. It's my last resort after all these hands are built to save lives."

Yumi angled herself, allowing her back to face her team-mates so that only the Mizukage could see her. Yumi's crimson eyes twinkled before the look of a killer, someone who wasn't an amateur but nowhere near experienced, flashed within them. The look in her eyes vanished as quickly as it appeared, replaced by a childlike wonder. The simple exchange was to portray to the Mizukage that Yumi was more than she appeared. Perhaps if the Mizukage was smart enough or perceptive enough it would click that Yumi was merely wearing a mask, but that all depended on the man's own skills.

Turning back to face her comrades and Sense, Yumi went back to listening intently to what the other's had to say. Alkaid had gone off to introduce herself as the Silent Sword, a thespian and information specialist who had a hobby for knitting. As for her motivation, she desired to become the 8th swordsman of the mist, a hidden blade to kill the mist's enemies. The medic looked between the two Kaguya's they would be her allies until one of them became a Chunin. With the last of the introductions out of the way. Yumi turned her head to glance at the Mizukage before taking a look at her new sensei, interested to see just what the village leader wanted with the Hoshigaki.

In the meantime, while they sorted whatever the Kage wanted, Yumi began to plan on how to obtain a few bloodline samples. With her current strength getting a sample of blood from her sensei was pointless, same with the Mizukage. But perhaps she could begin thinking of a way to obtain it from her two team-mates. Yumi only needed a sample from one of them but with her thirst for knowledge, she was plotting to take a sample from both of them, after all, while they both had the Kaguya clan's DNA they had different parents and blood history. If Yumi wasn't hiding who she was, she would lick her lips in a sadistic lustful manner, but she had to force it back, keeping up the happy go luck appearance.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Nikuyo Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:43 pm

The shark-man stiffened at Nikuyo's approach, answering his statement with a confirmation of his identity. "Good. You have a new mission," he started while reaching into the pouch on his right thigh for the piece of paper that would have the details scrawled onto it. His eyes darted around to the three genin present, noting one of them from a file he had read a few weeks ago. From what he inferred in said file, she wasn't exactly into the whole shinobi business for the sake of being a shinobi. That genin was Tsubaki Kaguya, current head of the Kaguya. A warrior clan led by a princess with seemingly little drive to be a shinobi. It was a truly vexing thought to a man of Nikuyo's disposition. Almost... pathetic.

"If you don’t mind sire, bef-" Nikuyo's eyes glared down in raw hostility at the genin who had the audacity to speak without first being addressed in his presence. If he had not been anticipating a better fight to come once his scouts were finished doing their job, it's likely she would have gotten seriously injured as soon as the first words left her mouth.

"Be quiet before I cut out your tongue," he hissed before Kotsubo could interrupt his student, a hint of the anger and irritation from the previous events of the day seeping into his words. Even this little amount of emotion was enough to completely poison his words, making them seem more hostile than if he had just spoken them. It had not been intended as a threat either. No, anybody with the barest levels of intelligence could tell that Nikuyo truly meant what he had said. It was a promise, and the girl should count herself lucky that he warned her instead of just doing it. Assuming that the other two genin would get the hint, Nikuyo would turn his attention back to the jonin.

Finding the slip of paper, Nikuyo drew it out and handed it to Kotsubo. It was folded into quarters, and contained within would be a set of instructions. "This details what the mission entails as well as who your subordinates are going to be. Prepare carefully and leave as soon as possible. Do notify the other two before you go. Their files are free for you to access," he stated in a heartless monotone. "Dismissed."

Once Kotsubo left, Nikuyo would step back, leaving his arms at his sides as he glared down at the three genin before him. In particular, he paid close attention to Tsubaki and the genin named Yumi who had declared her dislike of killing. He honestly had no clue who the third one was, though he did see some slight similiarities between Tsubaki and her. Perhaps they were of the same clan? He didn't know, didn't particularly care either. "So," he started, looking to Tsubaki, "what is the younger generation of the Kaguya capable of?"

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Chika Wed Feb 28, 2018 12:43 am

Alkaid had known that the Mizukage was a violent man but she had thought he’d have at least a modicum of restrain around his own men, but apparently he was more dangerous then she ever could have predicted as he cut her off harshly before she could get even get a full sentence out of her mouth.

If she’d been a smarter woman like her cousin then she wouldn’t have tried to open her mouth at all in the first place, but now she was paying the price for her mistake as the sheer anger of the man saying he would cut out her tongue if she keep talking chilled her to the core to the point it was making her knees shake. She felt like she was prey before a very powerful predator and her instincts where screaming at her to get the heck away.

It seemed she was going to have to live up to the silent part of her title in another way after all. But no matter how urksome that was to her it wasn’t enough to override the sheer terror she felt at being continuing to be in this mans presence less she risk drawing his attention again and with it his ire. If she had known the man had no clue about who she was she would have felt relieved.

It was better to be beneath his cantankerous notice then to catch his attention which made him takeing notice of Tsubaki all the more frighting. Swearing inwardly Alkaid crossed her fingers hoping against hope that her cousin wouldn’t say anything to make the man even more interested in them.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Shinso Uchiha Wed Feb 28, 2018 1:09 am

Kotsubo carefully unwrapped the piece of paper that the Mizukage has just given him, reading the details of the mission on the paper, going through it rather quickly without any form of surprise or hesitation. He remained a calm composure the entire time while reading the paper, and wrapped it back up nicely and placed it into his pocket. "It's going to be like that, hm?" He took a deep breath, and briefly said to the Mizukage "Okay, I'm off... I'll start getting prepared straight away." he would've said a farewell to the genin as well, but it seems the old man plans to stay and train them, he thought it'd be best to not interrupt what's he's doing unless he wanted to incur his wrath.

He started to walk off, going straight past the genin and on his way to the training area entrance to leave, if any of the genin were to look back to him they would just simply see his figure walking away and nothing more. His thoughts had already drifted away from the training with the genin and straight onto the mission, he'll have to grab the rest of his gear back at his house and then call upon the two other members for this mission.

    [Exit]

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Thu Mar 01, 2018 2:09 pm

In such a brief exchange of words it seemed their mild day of training was turned upside down. Kotsubo had some "important" mission that required his immediate attention forcing him to leave the girls all by themselves with the Mizukage. Tsubaki had developed a quick dislike towards the Mizukage, one that would overwhelm her light distrust she had towards Yumi. He was a miserable old man, in short. He even had the audacity to treat Alkaid with such intimidation. The treatment was one of the primary reasons why she wished to gain strength. She knew that when she would gain power her kin would not suffer the same disrespect they had today. But of course reaching that level would take a lot of time; she had to focus one step at a time. As Kotsubo completely disappeared in a medium, ambient fog the three girls were left in silence in the presence of the old man.

His words broke the silence as his dead eyes focused on the princess. This demanded her attention as she lifted her head. The Mizukage's request was simple enough for her to understand. What was she capable of. Tsubaki fixed herself in a general stance with legs apart and hands open as her sides. It allowed flexibility for grappling, striking, and tool deployment, though she did not possess any. At her current level she was a strict Taijutsu major. Although it was basic she had her strength, her most valuable being able to focus on her body above all else. With a readied nod she took off at very capable speed. To her Genin allies, if unaware, she would have simply vanished. Otherwise she'd appear as a hard-to-follow blur immediately behind the Mizukage. But she would only remain there for a split second before taking off creating a small, partial arc to be leveled with the back of his head. She would stay close enough within striking distance as she was ready to make a move. Tactically she would stay focused on the old man's motives. She was reading his body language before she even moved and maintained eye contact until now.

She knew old people had lots of experience, just like her own clan elders. She was confident in her own abilities but was not foolish enough to underestimate him. Because of her awareness she would deliver a lateral right kick against the old man's temple from his flank. Her shin, being much more dense than standard bone, would pack a lot of firepower with her unarmed strikes. It was a general advantage she had over others when fighting strictly with Taijutsu. Hardened, dense bone maximized impact making light weight fighters like herself be able to batter her foe as if she was made of titanium. Following she would use her other leg to kicked off the man, her heel driving into his spine to propel herself back performing a simple acrobatic back flip to land on her feet while facing the Mizukage a mere five meters in distance before him.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Thu Mar 01, 2018 8:02 pm

Yumi remained silent during the proceedings, simply choosing to take a step back and watch. The medic was quite interested in what exactly the mission what the Mizukage was handing over to his/her sensei, filing it away in the back of her mind for later. The Genin would attempt to find something out later if they had the time. Yumi was a busy person, always in the middle of a new experiment whether it be devising new Ijutsu, Genjutsu or fiddling around in her Laboratory making up new chemical concoctions.

Showing no reaction to their sensei's departing besides a cute smile, or that the Mizukage was focusing his attention on the Kaguya head. Yumi reached into her back pouch, hidden by the yukata sash and pulled out a little black book, inside was a pen. Taking the pen out Yumi opened the book to a fresh page, the pen pressed itself to Yumi's right cheek as the lolita began to contemplate, before an idea sparked and she began to scribble furiously into her little book.

What exactly was this little black book? This book was comprised entirely of medicines, drugs, compounds, poisons and provision ideas. This book was full of various designs that Yumi had come up with over her shinobi career. The book was full of recipes some had a tick mark next to them, meaning these were recipes she had created and were working, those with an X were marked as failures and an O were recipes Yumi had just created or hadn't had the chance to make, mainly due to lack of skill. If one was to browse through it they would find blueprints every chemical Yumi had made so far Venom, CRDX, X Energy Drink etc.

Yumi had over books similar to this one, two others in her pouch one for light purple and the other was cyan blue. The purple book had a list of Genjutsu both created and experimental techniques, while the blue focused on Yumi's medical technique ideas. Out of all three, the purple book was the thickest followed by the chemical book and lastly the medical book.

Yumi was scribbling down important notes about a new drug that had suddenly popped into her head. A drug designed to assist with chakra recovery. Yumi had experimented with the idea before and had created the odd drug now and then, but often they were marked as failures, just because Yumi had failed previously didn't mean she would quit. If it didn't work at first, Yumi would analyse and try again, using different chemical components or even adding a new one to see what would happen.

The medic was in her little world paying no attention to the Mizukage or her two team-mates. Yumi had no reason to interact with them while the Kage was focused on the Kaguya, not unless they called out to her. But she doubted that, so far it seemed the Mizukage was underestimating Yumi, due to their introduction about not wanting to kill, the medic was perfectly fine with being underestimated.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Nikuyo Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:38 pm

The Kaguya girl didn't even say anything to Nikuyo before she readied herself into a stance, just the way he liked it. The Mizukage did not respond in kind, simply standing there with his arms at his sides as his eyes focused in on the head of the Kaguya. His sensory abilities kept tabs on the other two, a small portion of his focus going towards potential reaction to actions they tried. He would be disappointed if at least one of them did not try and attack him while he was dealing with Tsubaki, as that shows a distinct lack of courage that just could not be tolerated in a village run by him. Even if your opponent is stronger, you must always fight. Fighting gave you a chance, no matter how small, but not fighting led only to one thing: death. He had shattered this illusion for many men before, though the realization was as short lived as their lives were once Nikuyo had defeated them.

She pounced into action with a speed that Nikuyo found mildly amusing for a genin to possess. It was a little unexpected, but in a good way. While the other two may have had issues tracking her, Nikuyo's veteran eyes lazily tracked her movement to his side. Following her movements, he would simply pivot on his left foot slightly to make his block easier. She had spunk for a girl her age, and for a split second he second guessed whether his initial judgement of her lack of willingness to be a shinobi was correct or not. This doubt was wiped away upon their initial contact.

Nikuyo's right arm came up and blocked Tsubaki's kick to his head with a steel plated arm guard, a contact that wouldn't feel very nice regardless of how thick ones bones were. As soon as he realized that both her feet had left the ground, his hand would twist and snap around the shin of the leg she had tried to kick him with with a deftness that would be unexpected in a man his age, even if he was a kage. That brief snap of his arm displayed a closer glimpse of what he could do, though the rest of his motions would be as relaxed and uncaring as they had been before.

Once his hand was wrapped around her leg, his body would twist with the litheness of a cat. A second hand would fire from Nikuyo's side to snatch hold of Tsubaki's ankle, and with a mild grunt the old bear would swing the Kaguya girl around like a sack of potatoes. She had a little more weight to her than she looked, likely because of the clan she belonged to. However, Nikuyo always found the strength to do what he needed to do. The result would be one Kaguya princess flying at the genin named Yumi, and a Mizukage with the same expression on his face as had been there before her attack.

"And that's why you always keep a foot on the ground," he growled as his neck twisted to the side in order to pop it. To his delight, it actually popped this time. It was loud, loud enough that the three girls could likely hear it. Actually, come to think of it, something seemed a bit off about that Yumi's signature. It wasn't quite... feminine. Odd, but not of any importance. Old bones made a lot of noise, and old joints made a lot of bad days. "You're slow. You're going to need more help from these two lazy asses if you want something as awful as that to work." Something about his tone inferred that his comment about them helping was less of a suggestion than it was a command. "Feel free to strategize, I won't go anywhere. Take all the time you need." They needed to work as a team, and Nikuyo was not one to give advice for teamwork. Everything he wanted to do, he did it alone. Had been that way for over a decade now, and it was one of the only facets of his life that he actually enjoyed. These three would need to get to know each other better and form an actual plan to try and do anything to a man like him, their first introduction to working as a team. Hopefully they did not disappoint.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Chika Tue Mar 06, 2018 3:48 am

When the Mizukage had asked Tsubaki a question Alkaid had been expecting her cousin to answer him verbally not for her to launch an assault on the man. The sheer audacity of it was of such a level that it took her a moment to get over the shock and switch over to battle mode. But as her hands landed on the hilt of her swords she hesitated for a split second.

At their level fighting the Mizukage was about as futile as trying to stop the tide. Together the two cousins where a formidable pair for a couple of D rank gennin, but even if they threw everything they had at him together at once she knew instinctively they didn’t have a pray of actually beating Nikuyo.

She didn’t know why Tsubaki had chosen to attack him, but she didn’t dwell on it since she had absolute trust in her cousin. If fighting him was the best path forward so be it. Part of her still wanted to run but she ruthlessly suppressed it.

It was at that moment Alkaid overcame her fear and drew one of her katana, resolute in the knowledge that even if the worst should happen that she wasn’t the type of person to abandon family.

Because she had only just reached D rank and finally learned how to use a sword properly she didn’t have any fancy techniques to use with them. Not even her clans signature Dance of the blossom since she hadn’t had the time to fully pick it up yet now that she’d finally met the requirements for learning it.

So instead of being flashy she was just going to have to stick with being simple and direct. Falling back on her espionage training she carefully watched the Mizukage as best as she was able trying to find any opening to exploit, no matter how tiny and insignificant it might seem and unexpectedly found one as he moved as terrifying speed to block Tsubaki’s kick.

Forming a hand seal with her free hand, Alkaid launched into a body flicker and shot forth like an arrow aiming to impale the Mizukage from the side while he was still in the process of swinging Tsubakiaround towards Yumi whom had been standing on the opposite side of Tsubakai from where Alkaid had been when this whole fight had started.

Between the fact that his hands where literally full and the fact he wasn’t facing her this was the absolute best shot she was going to get and she wasn’t going to waste it by being soft since she knew she couldn’t afford to hold back if she was going to have any chance at all.

As such her sword made from her own bone which made it much tougher then any steal was aimed straight for his liver. That way even if she didn’t manage to pierce thought the chain mail the man was wearing the sheer force of the impact would be sure to do some serious damage, assuming she actually landed it anyway.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Wed Mar 07, 2018 3:10 am

The lateral kick was stopped by an armored gauntlet, the sensation of her shin clubbing into his arm coming off as a somewhat numbing pleasurable. As much as she wanted to react there was little time to react, let alone process her next move. The old man moved like a properly executed script. The maneuvers and formations in martial arts manuals were like muscle memory as he executed all proper defenses with unparalleled speed and the proper strength to back it up. Her desire to retort was steamrolled as she was controlled and manipulated through the air. She half expected to be throw like a bullet, but it seemed the old man had his weakness after all. The weakness common with all old folk. It was one that she was incapable of exploiting in the first place not being so profound of muscle growth relying on speed and finesse to win her battles. Despite being old he was still comparatively muscular. She could only imagine how powerful his physical attacks were back in his prime. Soon, her prejudice began to simmer down when being able to test his Mizukage first hand. The ancient giant began to feel more "real" after making physical contact.

That didn't excuse the fact she was being hurled towards the frail loli. It was more of a toss, which Tsubaki was easily able to maintain control of once let go. A quick, acrobatic back flip helped reposition herself so she was in control and no longer being horizontal. She would follow this up with a somersault of sorts while using her hands on Yumi's shoulders to safely pass over her head. She had to make herself as small as possible to prevent her legs from potentially slapping the girl in the face. And even then, she followed through with an additional safety measure. Tsubaki would land on both feet behind Yumi, a cold sweat break through the Genin processing what a rush she just been through.

As her eyes fixated back on the Mizukage she had noticed Alkaid was gone from her position, her cousin in the midst of a follow up pursuit. Tsubaki was unsure if it was okay for Alkaid to step into the battle like that. After all, the Mizukage only requested Tsubaki to display her power. Taking her hands off Yumi's shoulders she would turn her body keeping her head fixed on the Mizukage as she clocked around the Mizukage from Yumi's position ninety degrees clockwise. She did this in an upbeat trot maintaining a five meter gap between her and the Mizukage. Positioning was key to any fight. But for now, she would simply wait for the Mizukage's input on her cousin joining the battle. If all was well and Alkaid had permission to join, Tsubaki would be able to plan cautiously and execute a plan of attack. She always wondered when the two would get around to planning combos.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:07 pm

Yumi appeared to be uninterested in what was going, seeming to be wrapped up in their little world as they scribbled in their black book. In reality, Yumi was keeping an eye on what was happening so not to be caught off guard; The genin didn't know why but they had a sinking feeling forming in their stomach as the first Kaguya attacked. Crimson hues watched the ensuing battle with mild curiosity. As the kick from Tsubaki was blocked, Yumi stopped her scribbling suddenly feeling a chill, as if she wasn't going to enjoy what came next. The girl Tsubaki was grabbed by the ankle and spun around like a ragdoll. It should have been expected; the Kaguya had charged in without accessing her opponent's capabilities and allowed herself to be left wide open.

While Tsubaki was being spun, the other Kaguya had drawn a katana and charged in as well. Yumi felt like facepalming while wondering if Alkaid had a plan. From what Yumi could gather the plan was to strike while the Kage as distracted with his current actions, an action that would now seem to be aimed at Yumi as he released the Kaguya. Yumi's eyes narrowed as Tsubaki was thrown towards her. Chakra started circulating through Yumi's body as the Kaguya performed mid-air acrobatics Yumi wasn't sure what the girl was attempting, but the medic was prepping to begin a recovery technique for after the collision.

Sure Yumi could have tried to avoid being hit, but she couldn't be bothered. As a medic, she could just heal any injuries sustained and be fine, or just fall back and let gravity to the rest. However, it seemed Tsubaki had other ideas as she again used acrobatics to position herself in a way that her hands touched Yumi's shoulders. The action was then used to somersault Tsubaki over the medic to prevent harm to both of them from being hurt. Yumi didn't show much of a reaction besides raising her right hand, chakra flowing into the index and middle finger. Yumi then proceeded to jab herself in the head, just over where the first gate was located.

Tsubaki's strength was equal to Yumi's constitution but didn't mean the lolita would go unscathed. The pressure from Tsubaki's hands and the force of the throw factored in by the Kaguya's weigh put pressure on Yumi's shoulders and would no doubt bruise the skin. By jabbing near the first gate, Yumi struck a pressure point that caused her body to undergo an automatic recovery process, allowing her body to channel chakra to the affected area healing any damage.

Yumi was tempted to stop there and go back to her scribbling, not offering to lend a hand unless asked, after all both Kaguya's had rushed in without consulting their team-mates or discussing some plan. The illusionist didn't particularly wish to lend a hand unless asked, but if she didn't would there be consequences from the Mizukage? It wasn't as if the old shinobi had asked them to attack together; He had merely requested Tsubaki to show the strength of the Kaguya, while Alkaid had jumped in without being told. Contemplating on what move to make, Yumi wondered if she should even attack.

"Do you require medical attention?" asked the medic in a gentle tone, as she referred to the Kaguya behind her. Yumi hadn't turned around, deciding to keep her eyes glued to the Mizukage. Yumi would then continue after Tsubaki had answered if she required aid or not. "I believe it would be for the best if a strategy were formed instead of simply running in. If you would be so kind as to retrieve your relative so one can be formulated, we could begin." proposed Yumi, the Genin wasn't about to charge the Mizukage without first formulating an attack strategy.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Nikuyo Fri Mar 09, 2018 8:42 pm

Indeed, Nikuyo would have to change his speech. His sensory abilities picked up the gathering of chakra the girl he had interrupted previously that surged through her body. It was a familiar technique to the old wolf, one he favored in his youth too. The issue with it was that it was hard to hit a moving target. She moved about as quickly as Tsubaki had, and with a display of extraordinary timing and precision the Mizukage would pull his body back just enough for Alkaid's blade to graze the surface of his armor. He twisted around the blade to outside of her guard, taking a step towards her as his elbow came back and down to crash into the genin's nose. Even with her bloodline, it would likely cause a severe nosebleed and might even break it. He did not hold back against someone who would use a weapon against him, though he appreciated the action. At least she tried to do something.

With his quick counter, Nikuyo would step back and out of the range of Alkaid's weapon but would be prepared to block or counter any follow up the genin might be able to try. Once out of her range, the three of them would be in front of him again though Tsubaki moved shortly after his counter ended. Getting a different angle on him, an excellent maneuver when you outnumber your opponent. But you needed a plan before you could utilize that advantage. He would remain standing, waiting for the three of them, and would do much the same as before. He still popped his neck, receiving the same satisfaction from it.

"At least you're not a coward," he said dismissively to Alkaid. His eyes fixated on Tsubaki, maintaining his watch on the others via his sensing abilities. "That's why you keep your feet on the ground. You're faster than most genin, but you're not fast enough to rely on it to overcome your opponents. Do like this one here," he indicated Alkaid with a wave of his hand, "and take advantage of whatever you can. Don't wait for permission." His eyes shifted to the two that were more directly in front of him, the one he had elbowed and the other one who was the target of his throw. "Take all the time you need and come up with a plan. Don't worry, I won't go anywhere." True to his word, Nikuyo would stand there and wait for them to try something for as long as it took. He kept his sensing up, noting the flow of chakra through Yumi's body, willing to take any other techniques being utilized as the implementation of their plan.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Chika Fri Mar 09, 2018 10:56 pm

Being an analytically type Alkaid typically tried to think things though before doing them. Even if she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed it wasn’t like she was particularly dumb either. She couldn’t take every detail into account as she’d like but it was enough to get by, at least usually.

From before she’d even leaped into action she’d fully expected her any attack she made to be a futile one. The gulf between her and the kage was enormous and pratically impossible to overcome. But despite that she’d attacked anyhow, more as a show of support for her cou sin then for any practical reason.

Besides you miss 100% of all the swings you don’t take so even if the odds she could so much touch him where only 1% it was still an improvement over what she’d started with. She didn’t know how the old man had known she was coming. Maybe it from instinct honed over decades of conflict or maybe he simply had eyes on the back of his head, either way he changed direction at just the right moment to avoid being impaled.

The sheer expert timing and smooth pinpoint precision he displayed while doing this was like art to Alkaid’s eyes. He made it look so easy that there was no way he could have possibly done it by accident. But even more surprising was to her way the sound of bone grating against metal as her sword grazed off his mail.

In terms of damage she’d done jack all, but the fact she had managed to touch him at all was a major accomplishment. Too bad she didn’t have any time to enjoy it or attempt a follow up he twisted around her katana and moved in to elbow her straight in the nose at high speed.

Maybe if she’d had her Wakizashi drawn and ready she could have done something about it, but she’d needed that hand free for the body flicker otherwise she never would have been able to get in range quick enough.

Stars flashed in Alkaid’s eyes as her face was impacted hard forcing her back a couple of step. Swearing under her breath she held up her sword in a defensive position as she brought her free hand up to her nose to assess the damage and felt a large amount of a hot sticky substance that could only be blood. She couldn’t tell if it was broken or not but it was pretty bad.

It was a good thing she was a little tougher then the average gennin or that one hit alone would have been enough to floor her, but as it was it stung like hell. It was too bad she didn’t know how to summon otherwise she might have been able to put the wound to use. After all if life gives you a lemon might as well make lemonaid.

Strangely despite being the one to take damage it only made her want to try again. But if she wanted to actually land another hit she couldn’t just attack blindly. She knew the second she tried he would put her down even harder for her ineptitude.

As the Mizukage began talking to them Alkaid took it as a cue that he was giving them breathing room to plan their next move. Sticking her free hand into a pouch that sat on her belt beside the remaining sword and began to pump out kunai from her hand , using her bloodline to make them while concealing the fact she was doing so from the world.

She didn’t say anything in reply to the Mizukage. Saying that she wasn’t a coward wasn’t exactly praise. It just meant she’d cleared the lowest of expectations he had for her. She still had a long way to go if she wanted to actually impress him. She smirked slightly about his premission comment but refrained from injecting a smart ass comment.

Technically speaking he HAD asked what the younger generation of the Kaguya was capable of. She he had been speaking to Tsubaki but considering Alkaid was a Kaguya as well she’d merely been helping to answer the question non verbally.

Wearily Alkaid scooted over to Tsubaki and Yumi so that the trio could work on some kind of plan together. Making sure to keep her blade between her and the Mizukage while she did so. Technically he’d given them his word that they could go ahead and do that but she didn’t fully trust him.

She’d read enough of a book called the art of war to know that generally you wanted to tell the enemy you where going to do one thing and then do something else entirely. That went triple for ninja like themselves.

Thinking about what she could bring to the table Alkaid quickly ran over each the list of jutsu she could preform in her head. The body flicker trick wasn’t going to work again now that he’d seen it and the hell viewing technique was off the table. Kami only knew what would horrify a man like the Mizukage and she didn’t want to risk triggering him into an anger fueled rampage.

“Hey Yumi, you’re a genjutsu expert right?” Alkaid asked in a low whisper just for conformation even though she already knew the answer since she had been paying attention during the introductions that had been made before hers had been cut off.

“Do you have anything that could pair well with the Mist Servant Technique? I could cast that and use some knifes to keep him busy. Then Onee-sama could use transformation to mix in with the clones and use them as cover to position herself for a strike.” suggested Alkaid.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Hana Kaguya Sun Mar 11, 2018 4:15 am

Successfully maneuvering over the loli she safely landed without the threat of her cousin being tossed her way. She offered medical assistance, despite not being hurt or the fact conventional knowledge of Ijutsu was useless against the Kaguya. Though, Tsubaki did not expect Yumi to know the latter part. "No, but it wouldn't be useful anyways." She said, alluding to the fact therefore of. It was useful to have different anatomy. That was as much Tsubaki knew without further detail. The Kaguya had different bodies than the average human, thus their knowledge of Ijutsu and Chemistry was pointless. But that was also their weakness. In this case, Yumi's Ijutsu knowledge was practically useless to the Kaguya and could only benefit herself.

Tsubaki couldn't help but wince at the sight of her cousin get checked on the bridge of the nose. Being picked up and thrown was a display of the Mizukage's mature, yet functional muscles. And her encounter with his movements showed no energy is wasted. Just direct, fast, solid impacts. Seeing Alkaid stumble back with blood seeping from her nose she turned to Yumi. Darn...forgot that she doesn't know yet... She thought regretfully, gritting her teeth. She could at least believe Alkaid would be well enough to continue fighting. Although she was bleeding and took a direct hit from the legendary Mizukage, she still stood.

The trio congregated in a small huddle, Alkaid with blood from her nose down her mouth, Tsubaki a bit dirty, and Yumi was, well, pristine. The loli's skin was still alabaster with no sign of dirt or struggle. Alkaid began to formulate a plan of sorts to start off the meeting. "Mist Servant Technique?
What about these clones you speak of?"
Tsubaki said clueless as to what this technique was. The girl didn't know Alkaid was clever enough to make her own technique. She was surprised Alkaid never showed her. Before she Alkaid could reply, Tsubaki would but in. "Look, something like that would only work if he snuck up on him. He wouldn't be so dull to let me slip in the crowd of your clones and transform. It's too obvious." Tsubaki was confident her plan would not work. Even at her own skill level she couldn't imagine being fooled by that. She would easily keep her eyes on dozens of clones, and seeing as herself would stick out among them, it would be too easy to pick her out.

"This is the Mizukage. Little tricks like that won't come in handy. At least not in an open plane like this. I'm confident we both can overpower him, Alkaid. As he said, we can take advantage of whatever we can get. He only has four limbs. We both have eight combined. We're not so shabby that he can walk all over our assault together. Yumi can do what she does best from the sidelines as support." The Genin would dart her eyes back at the Mizukage hopefully to catch him waiting in the same place as he last was. She was beginning to warm up to him, strangely enough. He was always seen as bitter and cold from a distance, though strangely resourceful and stern like a hard father in character. Something Tsubaki could learn to respect. He was even kind enough to let the three plan and no simply beat them for his own pleasure. It showed her valued their growth, and in some way their lives.

Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki) Empty Re: Meeting & Training (Yumi, Alkaid, Tsubaki)

Post by Yumi Sun Mar 11, 2018 5:37 am

Yumi nodded her head to Tsubaki's refusal. The Kaguya didn't appear injured anyway, and any injuries she had sustained would most likely heal up within the next few days. Crimson hues glued to the 'battle' as the Mizukage performed his counter-attack brutally striking Alkaid hard enough to make the girl's nose bleed. As the Mizukage dealt with the other Kaguya, Yumi cancelled the Regeneration medical ninjutsu she had cast as all her injuries had been healed and this would conserve chakra. Yumi had to preserve what little chakra she had what was to come. As Yumi cancelled the technique, the other Kaguya retreated over to their small gathering as the Mizukage voiced his thoughts telling them to plan an attack and he wasn't going anywhere. The medic didn't retort or even say anything at first, even as the two Kaguya discussed amongst themselves about a plan.

The Medic looked to Alkaid and her bleeding nose, proceeding to interrupt the two, "I believe it prudent we deal with that first." The Medic pointed to the girl's bleeding nose. They wouldn't know when it would stop, or if it would anytime soon. "It will only affect your prowess in battle." The Genin removed the scroll from her left hip and unrolled it, placing a palm onto one of the seals and channelled chakra into it. In a small puff of smoke appeared a medikit. The Genin crouched down to the ground and opened the kit removing a single layer of white gauze. After taking out a kunai from her pouch, Yumi sliced the gauze in half and rolled both halves. Holding out her alabaster hands towards Alkaid Yumi said a few words, "Here, use this." The idea was for Alkaid to show the pieces of gauze up her nose to stop it from bleeding and help it clot. It was only a temporary measure, and she would need to see professional medical aid after.

Yumi rolled the scroll up and placed it back on her hip, as for the medikit she sat it down on the ground, sliding it across out of the way. She planned to retrieve it afterwards and get it resealed into the scroll later. With that out of the way, Yumi would allow herself to adorn a thinking pose, cupping her chin and shutting her eyes, as her head leaned to the right. In this pose, the lolita appeared adorable.  The Illusionist was already allowing thousands of calculated thoughts to move their way through her intricated mind to formulate a strategic plan that would work. The problem was that they,  as three Genin, who were inexperienced and weak were going up against the Mizukage Nikuyo, a man with decades years of experience and great strength. The key would be to try and catch him off guard and strike with a sneak attack; the question was how. The question on Yumi's mind was, would her illusion techniques even work against the Mizukage, she had her doubts but would still try them out. Nothing ventured nothing gained, or so they say.

Eyelids parted as crimson hues shimmered open once more. Taking a few steps back, Yumi stood six meters from the Mizukage but took a position that would allow her to address both of her team-mates. "I will create a diversion with the use of my Genjutsu." She was speaking in a whisper but loud enough so the two would hear, but the Mizukage would not. "I will give a signal when my preparations are complete, as I intend to layer four to five Genjutsu over one another to draw as much of Nikuyo-sama's attention. Once he breaks my first lot of Genjutsu, I will immediately cast another layer to continue splitting his focus to them. Once I have cast the first layer I will signal you, once signalled Tsubaki-san you will immediately attack from the right, Alkaid-san you will attack from the left, this will split Nikuyo-sama's attention three ways. I will attempt to split as much of his focus as possible on my illusions allowing you two the chance to land a hit.
Remember your window of opportunity will be small as I do not know how long I can hold him in my illusions, you must be swift."
The Genin spoke in a soft angelic tone as a smile rested on those snow white features. However, when Yumi spoke there was a serious edge to it showing that the girl wasn't just bubbly and carefree. Yumi's plan was quite basic and simple as she would attempt to cast four to five Genjutsu simultaneously to entrap the Mizukage.

The Genin reached into her back pouch with her right hand and removed a purple book. The Genin flicked through it and dog-eared five pages in her little purple book of illusions. The Genin held the book out for them to look at signalling them to take a look at the five pages she had dog-eared as they were the illusions she was planning to cast. Yumi didn't have to give them a heads up, but given the circumstances, the medic had deemed it necessary to inform them about the techniques they were planning to use and what they entailed. Yumi pointed to them in order of how she was planning to use them, starting at the Mind's Deceptions, "I will cast this through sound" By giving the two a head's up it would hopefully ensure they didn't get caught up in her technique, or if they did would be aware that they were merely in an illusion.

If they looked through them as they arrived in the Embracing Chains and Locust swarm Yumi would point at them, "The visual action will be the attack signal. Try to remember if you are caught in them, they are but an illusion." Yumi would do her best to ensure that the focus of her chakra was only on the Mizukage. But if they were to allow themselves to be caught up in her illusions, no skin off Yumi's back.

While Yumi would let them read her little purple book, the Medic channelled chakra into her free hand, the left, focusing it into the index and middle fingers, allowing it to focus into the tips. The medic glanced over their own body and began lining their fingers up with their spleen, aiming for the Dadu pressure point located there. The medic struck swiftly jabbing the two fingertips into flesh. Yumi made a tiny whimper of pain before chakra began to flood through her body, a thin veil forming around her body. To those who were chakra sensitive they would be able to feel her chakra reserves drop suddenly, but then begin to grow as chakra began to regenerate in her coils.

"If you agree then let me know when you are ready and I will begin my preparations." Instructed the shortest of the three Genin. Yumi wasn't allowing time to past so the Ijutsu she just cast could go into effect and her chakra reserves would begin refilling themselves slowly.
