Training Plus Ultra! [Irui]

It was early morning as Tsuki got up and did her normal morning routine. Today in addition to the next two days Tsuki decided to train her heart out. Physical activities isn't exactly what she is best suited for since Tsuki realized that she was more experienced in Ninjutsu primarily. If she was going to be honest Tsuki doesn't know why that is the case. However she arrives at the designated training grounds and approaches one of the boulders. Where she will proceed to climb on top of it and ponder for a moment.

What can I do if I drop from here to the ground, and yet someone was to attack me while I am in the air? A while ago there was the training spar against another Genin named Oriana. Tsuki counted at least once that being caught in mid air is generally a bad scenario since even if the target does block there is no resistance. So even if the target doesn't take damage from the blow they would still get knocked back Tsuki reckoned. She hums to herself as her arms crossed over her chest.

It is a long shot, but what if I can suddenly change my direction even in the air? If such a thing is possible, then perhaps chakra expulsion would suffice. Tsuki recalls from training that putting too much chakra on a surface would cause a chakra expulsion and usually knocks the user off from the surface. Tsuki ponders on this theory to potentially create a small platform big enough for her foot and strong enough to carry her weight or even partially to allow her to propel off from. So without further ado, Tsuki hops down from the boulder while concentrating her chakra to the bottom of her feet. Unfortunately by the time she powered up the chakra Tsuki's foot touched the ground and Tsuki is sent flying a good 3 meters above ground from it. Her eyes widened in surprise as Tsuki didn't expect to be pushed so high up. Still she used this opportunity to try again. This time Tsuki somewhat got it as she creates a platform of pure chakra that held up her body for only a brief moment of impact. Tsuki was too surprised and excited of her success that it quickly gave out as it was formed.

Tsuki resumed falling back to the ground, but this time Tsuki wasn't disappointed. She climbs back up on her boulder before hopping down again. She could barely form the platform before she touched the ground, but Tsuki gets back up and tries again. Essentially practicing her reaction time of flowing chakra to her feet while she was at it.

A sharp crack told him he was near.

With his hands shoved into his pockets, a glowering Irui meandered his way through the fencing and other boundaries of the Kumogakure Training Grounds. He shivered even through his yawning, and struggled to stamp the sleep from his eyes. The bracing cold seeped through his coat and uniform, and for a few moments the teenager watched the grounds with a scowl.

Once again, at his mother's urging, he had reluctantly responded to an advertisement in the Hidden Cloud Gazette. Open Training Day, it was called. It would be fun, they said. Across the training field, flashes of Ninjutsu, the rhythmic banter of metal and flesh, and arcs of electricity shimmered, clanged, and danced. Carefully, he proceeded into the grounds, following the meticulously detailed pathways. His eyes danced from Shinobi to Shinobi, some sparred in groups moving with such speed and precision, he could scarcely focus on their blurring forms. Along the route Barrier Seals attached like flyers to the trunks of trees, and rocks, formed a protective ward, preventing stray jutsu from breaching each area.

He paused for a moment, watching a man weave handsigns. His fingers danced together through a sequence of seals that molded his chakra. Irui looked down at his own, trying to follow the sequence himself, and had lost his way through the third sign, when a brilliant light erupted from the man's body. Electricity snarled around him in thick, violent cords, snapping and flashing before surging forward to obliterate a collection of targets.

"Woah....." Irui breathed, "He did all that...."

He carried on after a moment, stamping the stars from his eyes, until he came to a relatively empty area. A collection of boulders were lain about the field, and a woman was situated atop a particularly large rock. He'd spied her as he'd approached, some how arresting her fall from the boulder with chakra.

Nervously, he waited for her to finish the movement, then raised his arm and waved. "Uh, hi, my name is Irui. Irui Mikiri, Genin rank. I uh, was encouraged to come for open practice. I saw a lot of flashy moves on my way over here, but I'm curious-- how did you do that?" He fumbled awkwardly.

Eventually Tsuki got the hang of this technique, and it was quite fascinating of how many usages this technique could have albeit limited. It'll give her some method of evasion even in midair. However, what she didn't expect was that she attracted attention to herself. A male teen that was unfamiliar to Tsuki approached her as she was getting the last practice of this technique. He appeared to be fascinated of how she was doing the Jump Step. Tsuki gracefully landed on top of her boulder as her molten gold eyes shifts over to the new person.

"It is the concept of tree climbing practice or water walking. Simply overcharge the chakra flow to the bottom of your foot and it'll produce a brief platform for you to jump from. At least that's the comparison I've noticed." Tsuki politely answered before she slid down to the ground. Once she was on the ground Tsuki took a moment to dust herself off from dirt and stuff before continuing.

"Since that you are here, I assume you came here to train as well? Perhaps I can assist you by presenting myself as your moving Target if you like." Tsuki formed a Ram seal to produce a 2 meter diameter of rock dark as the night yet emits uncomfortable levels of heat. Or perhaps comforting as it beats back the cold air around them. Tsuki gestures over to the cluster with a smile on her face like she's giving a tour.

"Alternatively, you could always try your luck on a harder target than those dummy logs over there. Just be careful since these rocks have a jagged surface. So you might risk cutting yourself from the impact."

He tilted hishead as she explained the mechanics of the technique-- walking on air? He lifted his left foot, and prodded the air trying to envision just how it would work. The air didn't have any purchase, it didn't offer a foothold, but she could create a temporary one with just her chakra? Before he had a second to consider it further, the woman had alighted on the ground, her footsteps soft and faint.

"Since that you are here," She began, "I assume you came here to train as well? Perhaps I can assist you by presenting myself as your moving Target if you like."

Ah, shit. He thought. His hand reflexively went to the kunai knife holster. The empty kunai holster. Once again, he'd forgotten to buy a set of them, and looked down at the container with disdain.

"Ah--I--uhh...Crap." He fumbled, "I seem to have... forgotten my kunai knives at home. Again."  Irui looked back at the Kunoichi, his face flush with embarasment and self-admonishment. He paused for a moment, considering the targets and training area. "Perhaps... what if I was the target? Could you help me improve my footwork and evasion tactics? When I was at the Academy, I scored high for indirect combat and a support role."

He let the suggestion hang on the frosty air, hoping she didn't burn the idea to a crisp.



(Perhaps Irui simply gets trained to be as slippery and evasive as possible. If you'd like me to purchase weaponry, I'll do that promptly).

The boy was stumbling for words as he reached for his holster. An empty one at that. Tsuki listened although her hands was poised over her navel. Ready to weave just the one handseal at a moment's notice. Still Irui comes up with an excuse as to why he doesn't have any tools on him. Tsuki was a bit disappointed on hearing as she flips the buckle on her belt that held one of her collapsible batons. With a flick of her wrist it extends to it's full length. Her other hand reaches into her hip pouch and brings out a pair of shurikens and each was tied by steel wires. Wrapping the wires around her fingers, Tsuki begins to casually spin each shuriken around her left side.

"Leaving your tools is a fatal error. A shinobi should always have their basic weaponry from shuriken to Kunai and even an explosive or three. However…" Tsuki sighs as she is reminded that she is in fact a Ninjutsu user. Soon to be specialist at that. The shurikens makes a faint whistling sound as it spins through the air.

"Can you do Ninjutsu? Taijutsu? Or even Genjutsu?" In her mind even without tools both of them should still be capable of defending themselves. Either way of how Irui responds Tsuki will shrug her shoulders before giving a brief warning.

"Well then you better start running or closing the distance if you're confident enough." With a twitch of her finger one of the shurikens extended fully towards Irui for 3 meters. Unless he moves Irui will find that the shuriken curves at his side, but either way for now he is out of the shuriken's reach since it rebounds and curves away. Meanwhile Tsuki moves as quickly as she could towards Irui to get closer. Additionally she followed up with a twitch of her bird finger to send the second shuriken in a curving motion towards Irui. Hopefully Irui would either be too focused on the first shuriken, and even if he looks up at Tsuki the second shuriken will attempt to slash Irui across the chest as it will deliver a small cut along the mesh shirt and the skin underneath. The wound will be shallow at most so it won't be anything fatal or severe.

Once in range Tsuki will attempt a diagonal swing of her baton to smack at Irui's shoulder while extending her other arm away. This will pull her two shurikens to curve over Tsuki's baton-wielding arm. If Irui backs away from Tsuki yet is still within the 3 meter range of her shurikens these shurikens will attempt to deliver an additional two diagonal slashes across Irui's chest. If he remains close of arm's reach however, the shuriken instead will quickly attempt to wrap around Irui's torso and Tsuki will pull her arm back to tighten the wires. This will hopefully bind Irui's arms in place and the shurikens will likely puncture his skin as well. If successful Tsuki will poise her baton just an inch from his neck. Where she will watch to see how he can get free if he ended up in this position.

A pit formed in the boy's stomach, and with it, it swallowed the boy's confidence. He felt the blood drain from his face as he realized what he'd done. The woman could only watch, with disdain, and begin procuring a set of finely polished and sharp shuriken. Deftly she secured them about her fingers with wire. She filled the other hand with a baton, immediately extended to its full length-- a. savage bludgeoning tool. With either, she could slice out his organs, or break his bones.

"Can you do Ninjutsu? Taijutsu? Or even Genjutsu?" She admonished, glancing over her weaponry.

"....Shit." Irui cursed. It didn't take a genius to know who clearly had the advantage here. Adrenaline was already coursing through his veins, prodding his lizard-brain flight-or-fight response. It sent shudders through his fibers, made his gut rot with sickly anxiety.

The kunoichi's body tensed, and instinct compelled Irui to move. He didn't know how, or where to, but his brain screeched for movement, and so he dove to the ground as a shuriken sang from the woman's hand. The weapon trailed on a thin wire, his eye caught the glint as he ducked and rolled. He could sense her approach, and the keening note of the wire as a second shuriken flew. He rolled again, letting the weapon slip past overhead, his hands clasping together in the Dragon Seal. As he completed the rotation, his hand sprang forward, pistol-gripped and fired the only technique he'd truly mastered--

--Raiton: Signal Flare!!--

A spark of electricity brilliantly luminous would explode from his hand and race towards his opponent's exposed frontside. A blinding flash, meant to alert yet in this instant, stun the opposition.  He could only hope this would give him a moment to regroup, as Irui's feet found the ground again, and he sprang for the nearest boulders and out of her range; his hands threading the Snake and Rat signs as he kicked up a swirl of leaves and grass in his wake. The whirlwind would only grow as the Signal Flare's effect faded, twisting around the kunoichi.

The boy duck low which was good. To most people when they see something coming for their face they either back up or duck. Sometimes they even parry the projectile out of the way. Still as Tsuki intended it was just a feint as the real threat was the second shuriken that Tsuki altered the trajectory with just a swipe of her hand. This causes the shuriken to spin rapidly horizontally that was rather low. Low enough to where it could catch Irui as Tsuki was stepping forward. Still the boy seemed to already be aware of the attack and continued to roll away from the shuriken. Granted the shuriken still clipped Irui’s shirt sleeve with a small tear, but not exactly what shinobi would call a hit.

As Irui finished his roll he pointed his fingers at Tsuki to which caused her expression to slightly surprised. The streak of light burst from the tips of Irui’s fingers that alerted Tsuki’s instincts to where she nimbly twisted her body while leaning away. Causing the streak of raiton to fly past her, but it gave Irui some time to run for cover behind a boulder. Tsuki had to spin on her heel and barely caught sight of Irui’s shirt going for cover. Being rather quick on her hands, Tsuki briefly dropped her baton to form the two hand seals. Tiger and Ox as she poured her chakra from her feet and sends the chakra into the boulder. Once it reaches the boulder, Irui will experience a sudden increase in temperature that was uncomfortably hot before a crude pillar of rock black as the night yet has red veins throughout the pillar. It even has a crude head like a spear, and this 1 meter pillar extends to a maximum of 5 meters as it will attempt to puncture Irui. If it connects the head will break off and small amounts of liquid fire will pour and burn intensely at Irui. Or if Irui evaded the attack, it’ll extend to the full 5 meters and the spear will break in half as lava slowly drips out from the broken pillar.

While this is going on, Tsuki snatched up her baton just as it hit the ground and she crouched. In reality Tsuki was building up power from her legs to jump exactly five meters above ground. With the baton Tsuki throws the baton into a spinning path towards Irui if she can see him evading the pillar given her height advantage in perception. Her two shurikens however she’ll throw with the wires into a pincer formation at Irui’s location. To which Tsuki will quickly form the Tiger seal and surges with chakra into her two shuriken. Both of these shuriken suddenly expand into giant proportions of giant shurikens threatening to cleave Irui in two. However Tsuki purposely just threw them at his general location so that while yes they will land close, perhaps too close for comfort, but the giant shurikens won’t really slice him in two. Or four pieces depending on the situation.

As Tsuki was dropping to the ground she caught sight of a leaf floating up in the wind. She was a bit confused as she didn’t recall kicking up any grass or leaves for that matter. It was one of the things that Tsuki discarded for the time being, except now that she looked down at where she was about to land at. There were several leaves and grass blades swirling around her.

A trick of his? Or maybe… Tsuki couldn’t finish the thought as she landed on her feet, and with it the leaves fell back down to the ground. She waited for a moment, but nothing happened. Nothing with the scenery changed or sounds different. Letting out a sigh, Tsuki will call out to Irui.

”Irui, are you okay over there?” Tsuki felt like she might have gone too far with this, however, she was just pushing Irui so that he could improve. Of course she still has ammunition given that the cluster of volcanic rock is still nearby. If need be she could just break some of it off and use the fragments as shrapnel. Practically to Tsuki this whole field was her playground of sorts.

Tsuki’s Stuff:

Irui had hit the ground, running for cover as fast as his body could move, and ducked behind a rock outcropping. Only seconds before had they exchanged dialogue, and now his opponent was hurling all manner of weaponry his way. He'd felt the tug, the rip of fabric along his shoulder as one of her whirling weapons dragged its edge into his coat. The star hadn't broken skin, but it was too close for comfort.

More experienced, and clearly outgunned, she immediately had seized the advantage, and Irui was paying for his forgetfulness. Her next attack was fast, ferocious, and saturated in flame. Without hesitation, she'd poured her own element into the environment-- foreign and superheated too-- and immediately turned Irui's hideout into a weapon. Fortunately, his backside prickled at the searing heat, giving him time to pick up the pace before a crude point jutted from the boulder. He backpedaled, using the outcropping to keep distance, and saw the rock glow, fracture, and spill molten insides across the ground. So long as the outcropping stood between the two of them, it was an obstacle, even as it melted like wax.

In the flurry of activity, he'd been able to press upon her chakra with his own; like a finger tapping the shoulder, he'd given her chakra a nudge, and like a key opening a lock, his Yin Release had extracted an equalizer in the battle.

Something heavy ripped the air as it was thrown, and he dove to the side once again, as the woman's baton flew past. Singing through the air on taut gleaming wires, he heard the shuriken before he saw them: two blades curving towards him from either side. A crack of chakra split the air, and suddenly two small weapons became wheels, whirling with renewed momentum.
A pincer movement! He realized, and could only cross his arms over his chest, make himself small. His clothing would be no match against the two blades. Irui's eyes widened--

With a rush of wind they cut the air to his sides, flying past the boy, striking the ground and bouncing. His body practically vibrated with adrenaline, struggling to pull in air as his lungs gasped as he continued to seek cover. He had to stay focused, had to concentrate on the task at hand. Only miliseconds had passed between his last single effort, and the woman's multitude, yet there was an opening. The boy sucked in air, trying to quiet his nerves, and his fingers threaded handsigns.

There.


”Irui, are you okay over there?” She called out. There was concern, hesitation, a twinge of regret in her voice, the way she'd slowed her assault. Most important: there was fear, a deep-seated one that she had gone too far, been too violent and outpaced a fresh genin.

Perfect.

Two enlarged shurikens stood embedded in the ground, still quivering from the force of their impact, jammed together in a wedge. Upon their star points, with his breast pointed towards the sky hung Irui-- a shuriken point jutting side-long from his ribcage, while the other head nearly severed his arm at the shoulder; transformed into a mess of tendons and splintered bone. His head, lolled to the side, arteries in his throat throbbing. A guttural sound sputtered from parted lips, with a faint whistle as air passed through a gaping hole in his chest. Struggling, his eyes jerked forward, focusing on her.

Tsuki wanted to drive the point home that having tools of any sort is a necessity for shinobi. Even shurikens and wire can be their devastating ally. However Tsuki felt like this was natural to her. Supposedly she was a Genin before she lost her memories, and apparently she is keen when it comes to combat. Even so she didn't expect to overwhelm Irui so quickly. It felt too easy for her, but when Tsuki walked around the boulder to see what became of Irui. Her expression morphed from worry to horrified as Tsuki's molten gold eyes widened upon the sight of Irui's gore.

There was a lump in her throat as her heart was starting to race. The way he was looking straight in her gaze Tsuki was terrified. Her palms was slick with sweat and it was like her body was frozen. No words were spoken from her as she started to coup with what was going on. What started to be a single step forward, Tsuki eventually ran towards Irui. There was so much blood that Tsuki didn't think she was capable of causing.

"They were supposed to miss… I was so sure they would just clash and miss… by the Phoenix I'm terribly sorry Irui!" Tsuki didn't mean to be loud, but she was terrified and panicking. This day swiftly went so horribly wrong. She frantically tried to come up with any way to save Irui as she examined his wounds. She looked like she wanted to take Irui down, but very hesitant in doing so. Tears started to stream down her porcelain skin as she had no way of fixing this.

Weakly he reached out to her, a show of compassion, to tell her it would be all right, and fell short.

With the slightest pressure on her chakra, he'd reached into her mind, dug through thoughts and extracted doubt, the purest visions of nightmares. Like a surgeon's knife, his Yin Release flowed as efficiently as her Lava Release; just as her own power destroyed the physical world, his had melted the abstract. It sent an electric pulse racing from his core, a revelation.

Fear, He realized, Fear is the equalizer here.

He pressed again, twisting his Yin like a parasite within her own; he would carve a festering wound into her psyche. Something deep within told him to press on, to continue to dig and tear; it was exciting, a chance to be something-- to feel as powerful as his peers. Within genjutsu he could shape things to his own desire. A dog and tiger sign were threaded by his fingers.

He turned his head, coughing as his body jolted from shock, spattering the front of his clothes with fresh red, the color draining from his face. It was all he could manage in response to her screaming, her agonized protests and apologies. His chest spasmed as new pains wracked his body, each movement forcing the shuriken crucifix to further bite and shear his flesh. Slowly, he drew in a wet, choked breathe, lips parting with a slow and pained annunciation.  Irui's eyes closed, his expression slackened, and within moments he grew still.

The training area lapsed into silence, a solemn stillness.

"Yield." Irui's voice came from the blue, as he levelled ragged shrapnel against her throat. He'd come to stand, suddenly through the bloodshed, at her blindside, with a makeshift weapon in hand, still warm to the touch.

Her mind raced as she watched a person she just met virtually dying in front of her eyes. Eyes widened in panic as there was a heavy pressure on her mind. However Tsuki was panicking too much to register it and frankly she felt like she was going to pass out. Tsuki collapsed on her knees as Irui seemed to draw his final breath. She couldn't believe it, and yet it was here in front of her. Worst of all, it was done by her hand.

"But I didn't… I thought they would… this wasn't supposed to happen!" Tsuki cried before bursting into tears. Her hands drawn up to her face as she sobbed. Streams of tears run down her cheeks as silence was a painful dagger wrenched in her heart. Sure she never knew Irui, and frankly it's not the first time Tsuki has killed before. However it's different when she is prepared for it than when she's not. Tsuki wished she went back in time and not used shuriken. She just wanted to drive the point home that having tools is a necessity for all shinobi. Especially when up against other shinobi who has weapons of possibly better quality than herself.

Then she heard a voice, a familiar voice. Coming from her side just outside of her vision. As well she could feel something warm and perhaps sharp even against her throat. Confused, Tsuki lowered her hands as her watery eyes blinked the tears away to see. Looking down there was a hand that wasn't hers holding onto a makeshift metal piece. Even more confused, Tsuki turns her head over her shoulder to see Irui perfectly fine and standing. Her left hand slowly reached for his hand that held the metal piece to determine if it was an illusion of either genjutsu or her hallucination. Upon touch it sank home that this is the real Irui and relief can be seen within her body expression. Shoulders relaxed and the touch softens.

Then anger quickly overcame her mind as she glided her hand further to snatch his wrist with a twist. Not to drag him, but to keep him still as Tsuki stands up with an added spin as she attempts to pivot over his blindside with a firm grip on his wrist. Channeling all of that momentum, Tsuki's right hand curled into a fist of rage as she swings with power against Irui's left eye. If it connects, Tsuki will let go as she was angry. Before she was going easy, but now Irui really pushed Tsuki into a fiery rage.

"How dare you fake your own death! I thought I actually killed you!" If Irui swings that weapon at Tsuki she'll backhand it away while simultaneously attempting to punch with the other hand Irui again at his chin before following up with a lateral kick against the right side of his ribs with her left leg. Then finishing up with a right hook straight at Irui's jaw and each blow held her full strength (a whopping D tier).

"The one thing I hate above all else is liars! And boy did you lie to me big time with that damn illusion of yours. What if I actually did critically injure you huh?! Do you want me to leave you out in the dirt and let you choke on your own blood?!" If Irui wasn't already prone from that last combo, Tsuki will attempt to shove Irui prone and will proceed to hold him down by placing her knees against his biceps. Then proceeds to sit on his chest as Tsuki raised a tight fist like she was going to punch him again. Her eyes blazed with rage, but at that moment her rage would've died down. And so her fist relaxed before she basically moved her knees off his arms and proceeded to hug him.

"Don't do that to your allies. In this world, allies can be your greatest strength…"

"How dare you fake your own death! I thought I actually killed you!"

As soon as she'd whirled, latched onto him, and drove her first into his skull, the world would shatter, unraveling around her as Irui stumbled. Her movements carried on, with a sequence of blows that surely would have left him coughing, staggering for air. But as they connected, Irui's form shifted, fractured.

"The one thing I hate above all else is liars!" Tsuki roared, her anger palpable. It saturated her chakra, fueled her strength, and still she raged and roared. "-- And boy did you lie to me big time with that damn illusion of yours. What if I actually did critically injure you huh?! Do you want me to leave you out in the dirt and let you choke on your own blood?!"

HIs body hung in the air for a moment, losing cohesion, before dissolving on the wind. A genjutsu farce, placed moments earlier while she had been preoccupied by the shuriken-crucifixion. With emotions running high, it has been easy to layer. From a few meters away, Irui stood from the rock outcropping, unscathed save for the knick on his shoulder. Illusions had proven to be to him, what fire and shurikenjutsu were to Tsuki. Yet he couldn't gloat, or smile, there was nothing satisfactory about this work.

Her greatest fear is herself; knowing that she is capable of killing, and then seeing it in the flesh. Irui thought darkly. If someone like her fell to that, what about others. Does the Raikage feel this way?

He'd done what needed to be done: defend himself from the kunoichi's projectiles, fire and strength. So why did he feel so... so...

"I didn't want to injure you, Tsuki. I--" He paused, and looked down at his hands. "I'm sorry."

With blow after blow Tsuki raged on. She was pissed since the truth dawned on her. It made her realize that her calculations weren't wrong and that she in fact did force those shurikens to miss. Which was actually a relief to young Tsuki, but at the same time she was equally angered. With the illusion shattering before her and Irui showing his real self to her.

Shifting her fiery eyes of gold over to his presence. He appeared to be not too happy, but Tsuki still strides to him before attempting to grab him by the shirt collar and stared into his eyes. Tsuki would not make any attacks on him, but her glare emitted a lot of heat like standing next to a volcano itself erupting with liquid fire. With a few seconds of silence as Tsuki doesn't move or blink. Until finally Tsuki closes her eyes with a huff. Her fingers relaxed as the tension ease up before spinning on her heel to turn. Tsuki walks back to her giant shurikens as by now they would revert back to their small forms. Leaning over to pick up her two shurikens and collected the two 10ft. Steel wire. Even going through the process of tying the wires on each shuriken before stowing them into her hip pouch.

With a deep breath, Tsuki turned to face Irui once again before she spoke with a more composed tone this time.

"I want you to hit me with that genjutsu again. Consider this as part of my training." Tsuki braced herself as she was willing to go through the pain again if that's what it took. In the end, Tsuki needs to practice the Genjutsu Kai, and the best way to see if it works is against the illusion itself.

Irui went silent and refused to move from his spot it would seem. Tsuki gave him about a minute to act before she sighs.

"I guess that's enough scare for one day. C'mon. Let's get something to eat or something." Tsuki offered as she walks back up to him and claps him on the shoulder. Assuming he follows, both of them departs from the training grounds. Leaving some minor signs that a fight broke out. At the very least this won't affect the landscape that much.

"--I--" His voice broke. Irui could feel his face flushing with emotion, a rock-like lump gathering in his throat, choking his words. Over and over, the memories circled through the synapses of his brain, licking his circuitry with Yin Release. It was powerful, decadent, dangerous.

It was unlike anything he'd seen before-- bordering on the realm of impossibility; an element that was as cold, calculating and all-consuming as the dark itself. With a flip of the switch, he'd made thought into reality, grasped her pulsing brain in his hand and squeezed, coaxed fear from the Kunoichi's past. The energy had flowed from him, faster than water, smoother than poison and twice as violent. Even now as it receded into the back of his mind, he could swore he heard a peal of laughter from his blackest thoughts. Somewhere, something within him had yearned to lash out, to hurt her, to draw blood with horrible retribution. It had succeeded.

When the vicious cyclone of thoughts subsided, Tsuki had left. He'd stood there for the longest time, longer than he'd realized. Deep within himself, he felt that dark, carnal hunger withdraw from the forefront of his mind; sinking back into the furthest corners of his brain.

Irui folded his arms over his chest, fingers gripped tightly to the fabric at his sides. His knees buckled, and the boy dropped to the dew laden ground, hot tears running down his cheeks.

"I'm disgusting."
