The Bloody Rock Forest

Located between Sunagakure no Sato and the Land of Rivers, the Bloody Rock Forest is a large desert with a peculiar landscape. As the Land of Rivers ends and the earth turns to sand, many tall rocks sprout from the ground and form an oddly shaped "forest" of massive rock pillars. Many travellers take advantage of this landscape's nature to find shade amongst the desert, but the rock pillars' numbers begin to dwindle and they become very rare as one approaches the Hidden Village. The nature of this place also makes it a prime location for setting up ambushes and preying on the unwary merchants who come through here. However, because this is a known fact, the caravans that roam through this land are heavily guarded and most veteran merchants are capable of using hidden routes through the rock forest and outsmart the common bandit.The Bloody Rock forest boasts a single oasis, around which the famous trade outpost "Thirsty Scorpion Town" is built.
