The secondary market street was the place for travelers, merchants, visitors, and locals to unwind. It was the avenue for food vendors, cheap and expensive, bars, motels, and practically anything that would peak the interest of those looking to take a load off. Masuyo has been a resident for a little over three years now, and as a casual drinker, has found the place she prefers to frequent at. One of the three different Izakaya in Konoha was called "Blue Sea Sushi and Izakaya" which acted as a tavern equipped with rooms on the second level. It was Masuyo's preferred location due to the variety. From Karaoke and dance to soothing baths in the back. The food wasn't half bad neither.

Her footwear consisted of standard black sandals fitted for comfort and security. With the toes and heel left exposed they provided additional balance, while the rest of the foot up to the ankle was protected by the thick nylon material of the sandal. The soles of the sandals are reinforced with hardened material to resist heavy impacts and weathering. She wore a pair of loose fitting black pants with the bottoms near her ankles taped securely in white bandage wrap. This provided balance and reinforcement to her ankles while closing off the ends of her pants. In addition, more bandage wrap was wrapped around her right thigh which allowed a navy blue holster to be strapped over comfortably. Around her waist she wears the basic utility belt which carries two green holsters on her right side along with a tool pouch around her back side and a canteen to the far left.

A black mesh shirt is worn under a common long sleeve black top having a red seal of fire placed on the outsides of each sleeve towards the upper arm. Over that was a fitted green flak jacket provided by Konoha's armory. The jacket was zipped up and secure firmly on her body. On both of her hands were a pair of fingerless black leather gloves, each fitted with a steel plate on the backs for protection as well as a means to fortify backhanded strikes. Around her neck Masuyo wears her forehead protector as a collar. The black cloth is tied in a knot around the back side of her neck with the steel plate facing the front for identification. The steel plate has Konoha's emblem engraved on the front. Masuyo has straight black hair which extends down to her mid back. Two strands of hair drop down touching her chest which leads into her bangs, those being cut shorter and swept to the side. She stands at 5'9 weighing approximately 145 lbs. Her fair skin is complimented with her voluptuous form which is completed with a pair of hazel eyes.

It was around five in the evening, the Jounin nonchalantly pacing herself down the street. Being her Monday she carried a rather stoic look on her, hands in pockets as she waded throughout the moderated trafficked street. She moved in an autopilot sense having traveled this path many times. She'd stop, turning to face her establishment. A large sign was placed just above the doorway in deep, large text engraved in the wooden placard.

Masuyo pushed the double doors apart stepping inside as she was greeted with a draft of warm air escaping into the chilly autumn streets. Positive vibes, music, bitter, crisp beer, and hearty stew were the most overwhelming triggers Masuyo picked up. She smiled to herself, the hardened sorrow on her face being lifted by these senses as if they worked as a miracle antidepressant. She'd approach the bar taking the next available seat. "Can I get a beer over here?" The barkeep, who was speaking with a small group turned his attention to Masuyo. Grabbing a pint glass he turned the sprig filling the glass with the pale lager stored in the kegs. He'd set the foaming glass before her on the counter, Masuyo setting a few ryo coins equally fifty ryo on the surface as well paying for the drink and a tip. Grabbing the glass by the handle she'd take a steady dram setting to back down on the bar counter as a sigh escaped her lips.

Crimson eyes lingered out towards the patrons of the tavern, the Konoha Jounin slid her gloved palms into her pockets and strode up to the counter beside Masuyo. Her eyes held dark bags from late-nights but she didn't seem to be in any poor mood, at least not one worse than she usually felt. Kokonoe turned her gaze shortly onto Masuyo and spoke up towards the barkeep. "I'll have what she's having." Her voice was smooth, rich for a woman but in a sultry fashion not one that's too gruff.

"I see you've gotten some free time to yourself, eh? Didn't take you for the type to swing here for a few drinks, then again I didn't know you drank much in the first place." Konoha's fire ninjutsu specialist didn't have much encounters with Masuyo yet but the former hoped to rectify that with a good evening with some drinks.

Masuyo's senses were always active after much of her extensive training and years of experience as a Jounin. She was so refined that being aware of her surroundings were almost second nature to her and not a burden. Letting her guard down and not listening to every passing patron, footstep, or door open was just impossible and a luxury she could not afford. Quite frankly she could not imagine being so oblivious to her surroundings. A presence approached the counter from her flank as each footstep drew knew thudding over the cobblestone flooring. The woman would make her appearance at the bar counter as Masuyo's drink was placed before her. Masuyo paid no attention to her as she willingly minded her own business taking her drink from the counter top and a deep dram. The stranger besides her requested to have the same drink she was. Masuyo's attention was grabbed at that point being the only female at the bar counter. Setting her pint glass down she nonchalantly picked up the woman's scent. Any possible hygiene product and notable scents were drawn in by her prestigious nose and recorded in her memory.

The barkeep grabbed a pint glass and filled it with the same frothy beer. Grabbing his used beer comb he scrapped the overflowing froth off the glass before topping it off and setting the glass on the counter for Kokonoe to take. When she spoke, Masuyo knew she was being addressed as she shifted her head over to the girl who stood besides her. Recognized the woman's face as she was one of the few Jounin within the village. Her words were friendly with no malice hidden behind them. The girl would smile in return to her statement. " 'Have as much free time as any other. 'Just know where my priorities are." She said, raising her glass before taking another drink depleting half of what she originally had. "Though, I drink for the nutrients and taste. Don't get the impression I'm here to 'drown away my sorrows.' That aside, I didn't expect you to run straight to the tavern shortly after being in a stupor for so long. Or is that what the doctor ordered?"

Masuyo would turn her head straight forward with her mug in hand effectively draining the last bit of beer she had in her glass before retrieving another fifty ryo from her pocket and placing it on the counter, the barkeep experience enough in his years of service to pick up on the sound of placed currency and drawing his attention to the Jounin grabbing her empty glass and giving her a refill. The tavern doors would open letting a few patrons in adding to the current occupancy. One of the barmaids worked to get the fireplace lit as the evening was beginning to set in.
