The sounds of this mission had to be false on Leora’s eyes. There was no way the Raikage would even approve of such a mission, or so Leora had thought. Still despite how mediocre it sounds Leora accepted her second mission this month to take on the supposedly fastest man. To be honest Leora wasn’t much of a speed type person so long as she gets from point A to point B. The sounds of her sandals can be heard from the steps that Leora takes. Busy people nearly crowd the streets as Leora was heading toward this supposedly challenger to a race.
Sure enough upon arrival Leora spotted a particular man with a trimmed beard and short messy dark hair. Garbed in traveling gear that has seen better days, but they were still functional from what Leora can see. He had a grin on his face upon seeing Leora and honestly she suddenly felt like she shouldn’t have accepted that mission. “I challenged the city’s military to a race and they send some kid over here instead? They must have a lot of faith in you girly.” Dealing with people was one thing, but it was this guy’s mocking attitude that was ticking Leora off. Her eyes narrowed at the man before speaking on a more serious level. “Or they know that a kid can outrun you any day and at any time.”
That rewarded a low whistle coming from the man’s lips as he began to stretch his body. “That’s quite a fire you got in your eyes. Fine i’ll play along. We’re to race from this point all the way to the Raikage’s door. Whoever gets there first wins the title and the reward.” Short and easy in Leora’s mind since she was more familiar to the most important building in the village. Leora didn’t really need stretches as the man drew an invisible line for Leora to get behind. “Ready… set…” The guy paused for a moment as his eye shifted over to the genin. “Go!”
