History: There are those who actively search for purpose of their lives. To figure out why they were put on this world of ours among so many others. Then there are those are given a purpose, branded with a goal from birth, this is the case for Shoku. Her mother was a prideful Uchiha by the name of Rika Uchiha, a woman with a lineage that could be traced back for generations on a string. She was a woman who liked to hold herself in a high regard, carried herself with a sense of class a prestige, like a noble. Though such a woman could hide many things with such a persona, Rika was no different. She, like a few other Uchiha, despised the Hyuga with a passion. However, she thought it'd be best to hide this fact about herself, both for appearances, and hide her ulterior motives.

She wanted to dismantle the clan as a whole for daring to stand up to the Uchiha for as long as they had. But with how much respect and support the clan had garnered in the country as a whole over the years, she thought it foolish to directly try and accomplish this. She came up with another idea instead. She was going to raise a family a prodigy, the absolute pinnacle of Uchiha potential. They'd be the stepping stone towards raising more and more within the clan, to eventually flush the Hyuga out of relevancy. As a result, she bore a large family of six children, the oldest of them being Shoku.

In such a large household, one would usually find it difficult to receive enough attention from their parents that would satisfy a child. This was not the case with Shoku, in fact, she wished she had been ignored and neglected. From the day she was old enough to enter the academy, Rika spent much time in personally putting her daughter through rigorous training, day in and day out. She wanted to see her improve, but wasn't satisfied seeing her naturally grow. She'd force her to improve, using methods such as depriving her of water until she was done and sparring fights where she'd continue to bash and beat Shoku until she prevailed. She was rather quick to reject all of this treatment, threatening to run away one day. She just might've too, were it not for Rika off-handedly commenting on how she'd pass off the work her daughter's younger siblings, going through them one by one until one of them lived up to her standards.

The thought of her actions resulting in her siblings going through the same thing she was being put through filled her with guilt and dread. Begrudgingly, she continued on, enduring what she could of her mother's daily training. Putting so much time into something she couldn't express her frustration with, she developed little to no social skills, which was made even worse by her near constant, on edge attitude. As a result, She went through her time in the academy pushing nearly everyone away who decided to try and look inside the bear's cave and made everyone else not want to be around her in the first place.

As time progressed, Rika began to have less and less faith in her eldest daughter. While she listened to her demands to the letter with just the slightest incentive, she wasn't showing any of the trademark prowess that the Uchiha were known for. She had no talent in Kenjutsu, Bukijutsu, not even ninjutsu to demonstrate the clan's beautiful Katon techniques. All she could see in terms of "talent" from Shoku was a physical might. In her eyes, all she could do was punch things, which remarked as "the trademark of a Neanderthal". Once the girl had graduated from the academy, the training stopped at the drop of a hat. Out of sickened curiosity, like a trained dog not hearing the ringing of a bell for a single day after months of a repeated pattern, she asked her mother why. The only response was that, for now, she wanted to see if Shoku would sink or swim.

Personality: Shoku is constantly on edge and rarely finds herself being able to relax and calm down. She finds it hard to not constantly be working, feeling anxious or even guilty if she isn't do something to further her career as a shinobi. She's a perfectionist, not being satisfied with her own work and craft unless she herself can find no flaws in it. She's spiteful to the core, motivated by it even. She finds herself doing most of the things she does simply because someone said she either wouldn't or couldn't. She's quick-tempered as well, being set off by what she could interpret as the smallest slight. Even so, she as an incredible potential for empathy. She hates the idea of anyone being even inconvenienced by her actions and finds herself going out of her way to help those who she finds visibly struggling with anything she could lend a hand in doing.
