Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Post by Yami Kaguya Wed Sep 12, 2018 2:40 am

A loud yawn cut through one of the many training fields of Kirigakure no Sato, the Village Hidden in the Mist. This particular training field catered towards those who focused on their physical expertise such as Taijutsu, Kenjutsu or Bukijutsu. There were numerous wooden dummies, wooden posts and straw-filled dummies to be used for training practice along with ample space. This was one of the perfect training fields to test out one's close quarter combat abilities. The owner of the yawn from earlier belongs to a tall male, six foot five in height, who was a member of the Kaguya clan. However, besides the height and the taste of clothing, a rather elegant kimono, this particular person didn't share any other traits with the clan. They had long black hair, instead of white, grey eyes instead of the traditional blue or green and lastly their skin while pale was also slightly tanned. Strapped to the left of their waist was a pair of swords, a katana on top with a wakizashi underneath. Hanging from the sash around his waist was a kirigakure headband that looked like it could fall out at any moment. The Kaguya, known as Yami wore a lazy expression as his bored eyes looked over the training field and he gave a long drawn out sigh.

The Kaguya who was unlike many other Kaguya's looked around at the many training dummies, "I wanted to sleep, and just push all these physical exercises aside. But with the way things have been going, there's a storm on the horizon. Guess I might as well improve a little." Though the Genin in a lazy manner, even his inner monologue sounded lazy like he did. Placing hand lazily on the top of his katana, the Kaguya drew it from its sheath and held it lazily out in front of him. The Genin closed his eyes and took a deep breath before exhaling. Unlike when it came to his own bloodline abilities, which he had a hard time working or contemplating, Kenjutsu was a field he specialised in, one could call him an idiot savant as it came to him naturally. Taking a deep breath in, Yami began to meditate on the concept of the sword to become one with it. This was something he had discovered a long time ago, how to become truly one with the sword.

Exhaling, Yami's eyes shot open and a blue aura began to form around his body, wrapping around every part, before encasing the katana in his right hand. The aura stuck to his body, giving him the feel of being one with the sword. If someone was to look to Yami, they would be in for a surprise as when they looked at him, it would feel as if he was sharp as a sword like he had become one. In fact, Yami would give them the feeling as if he was a sword. Yami had become one with the sword, there was no distinguishing between him or the blade in his hands. As Yami meditated over the concept, his understanding began to grow and the power around him grew in strength.

The Kaguya kicked off and launched himself lazily towards one of the training dummies. His speed rising slowly, before growing faster with his mastery over the concept. The blade in his hand was swung crossways in an agonisingly slow manner before it suddenly sped up mid-swing as Yami closed in on the dummy. The boy was moving originally at eight metres per second, but as he used the sword concept and combined it with his lazy sword style that speed drastically rose. Not only did his understanding of the sword rise, but also his mastery of the lazy sword style he invented slowly becoming more adept with it. His speed almost doubled reaching fifteen metres per second as the blade swung at high speed into the dummy, his strength also seeing a small rise. The blade cut through the dummy slicing it in two.

The katana moved beautifully before it was lowered lazily back to level as the Kaguya stepped back to view the work he had done. The blade had cleaved through the dummy with ease, this was one of the weaker ones, plus a katana was designed to be sharp and strike swiftly, often a second blow should not be required. The kaguya gave a loud yawn as he stepped back contemplating over the ideas and concepts he had mastered. With this his sword style should rise two levels allowing him to use a stronger version, giving him a greater boost in the future.

The sword aura clung around him, as the Kaguya began to devise another technique to add into the mix, something he had been contemplating in his sleep. The Lightning Element was something he specialised in, most Kaguya didn't use an element sticking to their bloodline abilities, weaponry and or taijutsu. Yami was different though, this was attributed to the fact that Yami was only half Kaguya, a half-blood, his mother had bred outside the blood. This had introduced new blood and allowed his father's blood to dominate over the weakening genes of the Kaguya brought on from years of incest.

Concentrating, lightning began to spark around his body as it was gathered. Lightning coated Yami's body in a thin layer boosting not only speed by also coordination. Yami felt increasingly different as he created two coats over his body, activating two boosting techniques stacking them onto the sword concept. Yami's left hand gripped the handle of the wakizashi and drew it from it's confines. The swordsman shot forward, speed rising once again. Yami's speed moved at fifteen metres per second as he closed in on a dummy, but once in range he rapidly speeds up to twenty than thirty metres per second, over three times his normal speed. The Kaguya flashed in front of the dummy, both blades being swung lazily but at high speeds. The lazy blades hit the dummy slicing it with a v.

Yami retracted the blades and stepped back, sheathing both of them. The sword concept vanished along with the lightning auras, returning the Kaguya to his normal state.

Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Re: Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Yami drew in a breath as he adopted a sword drawing stance, turning to face a dummy ten metres away from his position. Exhaling a sword aura engulfed Yami as he once against activated the sword concept skill. The chilling aura of a blade yet to be released engulfed the Kaguya as he prepared to strike. Breathing in once more, Yami planted his dominant right leg in the ground and shot forward at slow speeds, eight metres per second but every metre crossed his speed was drastically rise. First his speed rose to twenty metres per second, before rapidly growing again to thirty metres per second. Using the concept of the sword, combined with the lazy sword style and this sword drawing saw Yami's speed rise all the way to forty-five metres per second. Lightning would engulf his body tempering speed once again to rise up to sixty metres per second, while his ability to coordinate rose a level.

Yami's right foot dug into the ground as he blurred into existence in front of the dummy. The blade was drawn lightning quick, even growing in speed. While Yami's movement speed was sixty-metres per second the speed of his blade as it was drawn shot up to eighty-five metres per second. This was over ten times what Yami was able to move normally. The blade shot through with lightning speed and hit the dummy. The blade was a steel blur as it cleaved through the dummy. The dummy didn't even seem to move, nor was there a cut mark. But after a second had passed a line appeared in the middle of the dummy before its top half fell to the ground.

Yami exhaled and swung the katana before sheathing it into its scabbard with a click. Sighing the Kaguya turned to another puppet, trying to get through a number of techniques, he needed to keep himself sharp, to stop from getting rusty. Drawing the wakizashi, Yami held it in a lazy grip, appearing bored. The genin focused keeping the sword concept active, as he entered the lazy sword style stance and movement technique, the lazy step. Lightning was no longer circulating around him. Moving towards a puppet, the swordsman lazily jabbed out with their sword. The blade shot forward in a slow movement at eight metres per second before it suddenly sped up to eighty-five metres per second, its speed increasing by ten times. The sword struck the dummy piercing through its body.

Yami wasn't done there though. His speed dropped from eighty-five metres per second to twenty metres per second. The wakizashi he wielded was swung downwards, the swing appeared slow and weak, but as it came into range it sped up to forty-five metres per second. The strength behind the sword rapidly increased as the blade cleaved through the dummy from before cutting it in two from the shoulder down to the waist.

Yami moved, dashing towards another dummy. His sword lost strength but retained its speed of forty-five metres per second as it cut through the air towards the dummy from the side. The blade would miss, however, just by an inch, the blade swinging up on a rising curve. The Kaguya would dig a foot into the ground and lunge, swinging the blade on a downwards curve. As it came down lightning encased his body rapidly boosting speed to eighty-five metres per second. The second katana was drawn and slashed upwards as the two blades crossed over chopping the dummy to pieces.

The Kaguya jumped backwards, landing five metres away, lightning still sparking around him. Sheathing the wakizashi, Yami took hold of the katana in his right hand, raising it up into the air. The Kaguya channelled chakra into the blade and swung down, firing a slow-moving arc of blue chakra that was two metres long. The arc moved at eight metres per second, but after covering a one-metre distance shot up to fifteen metres per second. It crossed the distance and slammed into another puppet slicing it in two at the waist.

Lightning nature chakra funnelled its way into the katana and Yami shot forward, moving at twenty metres per second. The blade swung around into a training dummy, lightning chakra struck the dummy and was channelled into it doing internal damage. The lightning nature chakra vanished as regular chakra was channelled. Taking a breath Yami launched forward at the same dummy from before getting close and swung down, moving at thirty metres per second. Yami shot at extreme speed, ignoring the pain in his muscles from moving at such intense speed, his body couldn't keep it up for long and if he continued without rest there was a chance he would tear his muscles apart.

The katana swung down brilliantly as chakra burst forth from its confines. Chakra shot up into the air taking shape. The chakra took the form of three sword-like slashes that moved downwards. The slashes shot down into the dummy slicing it into three separate pieces. The pieces fell to the ground as Yami panted softly. The Kaguya's body was slowly growing fatigued, not from lack of chakra, but mainly because he usually didn't do much physical exercise, preferring to lay about and sleep.

Yami sheathed the blade and retreated to a nearby tree to get some rest. He was thoroughly exhausted. The Kaguya sighed as he collapsed beneath the tree, slumping down against the bark. His tall form slid down the tree and hit the green grass, earning of moan of comfort from the male. The Kaguya laid down, shutting his eyes and allowed himself to drift off to sleep in order to recover. He would probably wake up in a few hours time to start again. There were many techniques that belonged to his lazy sword that needed practising or else he would get rusty.

Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Re: Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Post by Yami Kaguya Wed Sep 12, 2018 4:45 am

Yami yawned loudly as his grey hues began to open up. The lazy Kaguya stretched his long limbs as he sat up beneath the tree he had been sleeping under. Looking to the sky, judging from the movement of the sun, he had slept for a good two or three hours. Rubbing the back of his head, the lazy genin slowly stood up. Using his hands on his knees to assist in the standing process. The Genin groaned as their limbs stretched out, having grown stiff, from laying down on the ground for so long. Craning his neck, eliciting a crack from it the Genin began to lazy stretch out of his limbs and rubbed the sleep away. Now on his feet, the shinobi was ready to get back to practice, so he could finish up and return to a world of blissful sleep.

Heading over to the training dummies, Yami drew his katana, removing it from the sheath. As he held the blade, the shinobi took a deep breath, eyes closed. The shinobi calmed his breathing meditating on the sword before his eyes shot open and a blue aura surrounded him and the katana, turning them into one sword. With the sword concept active, Yami felt his base speed and strength beginning to rise. Levelling the blade he settled into the lazy stance of the lazy sword, further boosting not only his speed but also coordination. A layer of lightning coated his player further increasing his coordination to the point he could wield two swords.

Yami shot forward, dashing towards the nearest training dummy that was ten metres away. The sword came swinging around from the left to the right, aiming at the neck. Yami suddenly sped up, speed increasing again. Both Yami and the sword moved at eighty-five metres per second, cleaving the dummies head off with ease. Lightning coursed through his veins, hitting every fibre of his muscles. The Shinobi's body suddenly moved, using lightning nature chakra to stimulate the muscles and nerves, the Kaguya was forcibly returned to his fighting stance. Pain coursed through his muscles, as great strain was put on them. The Instant reflex could bring Yami back into attacking position after an attack or if he lost balance but it put enormous strain on the body.

Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Re: Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Post by Yami Kaguya Wed Sep 12, 2018 7:42 pm

The Genin impaled the ground with his katana, using it to support his aching body. Yami took a deep breath in waiting for the pain to subside so he could return to his training. With his current body, the instant reflex could only be performed once. But that would change, once he managed to increase his physical attributes, but who knows when he would get around to do that. Yami was after all incredibly lazy, with the exception of today. Yami was average in all attributes, not particularly special in any set one. The Swordsman sighed as he removed the katana from the ground, pulling up a little bit of dirt. The blade swiped through the air, flicking the dirt from it. Settling back into the lazy sword stance, Yami took a deep breath. The cold chilling aura of a sword drawn from its sheath covered his frame, as a blue coat covered him at the katana. The two became one, the sword with Yami and Yami with the sword, they couldn't be distinguished from, it was like Yami had become a sword.

The shinobi focused, channelling lightning nature chakra into his sword. The blue aura began to spark as it surrounded the blade. Electricity crackled as it travelled up from Yami's hand to the tip of the blade covering it completely. Yami breathed in slowly, drawing chakra from his core, condensing and focusing it into the blade, manipulating it into the lightning element. The swordsman focused on a training post eight metres from him, looking at it with lazy eyes. The swordsman slashed downwards with the sword firing off the lightning nature chakra within. A crescent-shaped slash of yellow lightning shot forward. The lightning slash swung through the air on an angle towards the post. It covered the distance quickly and slammed into the post from its right shoulder to the left of its waist, cleaving through the post on impact. Lightning transferred electrocuting the dummy.

Taking a breather, Yami turned to focus on another training post and kicked off launching his body towards it, moving at speeds of fifteen metres per second. Enclosing in on the target, Yami raised the katana and slashed down, slowly and lazily. The blade moved at only ten metres per second and seemed to carry very little strength. But when the blade was only a centimetre away from it suddenly sped up and seemed to carry a massive weight behind it. The sword struck the post slicing deep into its material, before becoming embedded. Yami put a foot on the post and kicked back, while pulling back on the sword to rip it from the confines of the dummy.

With focus on the same training log, Yami moved the katana, swinging it lazily from the right, bringing it across to the left side. The blade cut through the air, painfully slow, moving at only five metres per second, but every inch it covered, the blade sped up reaching ten metres then fifteen metres per second. In mid swing its speed would shoot up again reaching thirty metres per second, becoming a blur. The sword connected with the training post, cleaving through the other side, meeting the damage that the previous blow had down, bisecting the dummy in two. The post hit the ground with a loud thud. Yami flicked his wrist, swinging the katana lazily back through the air before it came to rest by his side, hanging loosely in the palm of his hand. Giving a yawn the shinobi turned, facing another training post.

Settling into a fighting stance, a lazy one at that, Yami faced another training post. The shinobi took a breath, before kicking off, moving at speeds of fifteen metres per second. The shinobi crossed the distance, having been ten metres from the post. In fifteen metres he covered five metres in one-third of a second. Once at that five-metre mark, his speed suddenly shot up to forty-five metres per second, covering the distance one nine of a second. Appearing in front of the post. Yami's sword was thrust forward as he got gone for a lunge at the target. The sword contained all his strength. The sword had been aimed at the middle of the training posts forehead, at least where it would be. The sword hit it with a thunk and embedded itself half way. Yami pulled the katana out and allowed it to fall down by his side with his arm.

Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Re: Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Post by Yami Kaguya Thu Sep 13, 2018 2:37 am

With all of his sword techniques trained, the Kaguya sheathed the katana, allowing it to return to the scabbard with a metallic click of the guard. Next was to manipulate his raiton chakra, to produce one or two new ninjutsu techniques. It would be silly to just rely on his sword techniques in a fight, though he rarely participated in fights, often just giving him and going back to sleep, unless it was life or death then he would fight, or if he had no choice. Giving a yawn the shinobi channelled lightning nature chakra into the palm of his hands. Electricity crackled between his fingertips coming tip life. The shinobi locked onto a training post and fired the lightning releasing it as a spark that shot forward. The spark of lightning was fast, moving at speeds of fifteen metres per second. It slammed into the post, leaving a small scorch mark.

The Kaguya lazily raised his right hand, forming a gun-like shape with his fingers, index and middle finger pointed, ring and little clenched, thumb on top like a trigger. Lightning nature chakra flowed through his body and into the tip of his fingers, where it was then fired. Lightning shot out of Yami's fires shaped like a sphere no bigger than a tennis ball. The ball of lightning raced through the air where it slammed into the post, hitting the scorch mark, causing it to expand, even making the wooden training post crack from the impact. The Genin admired the damage the technique had done. The first was called Spark a low-level E rank raiton ninjutsu, the second was Spark Shot a slightly upgraded version as it was D rank.

Bringing his hands together, Yami's fingertips faced each other with a small gap between them. Chakra rushed through the lazy swordsman's body, coursing into his fingertips where it was changed into the lightning element. Lightning shot back and forth between Yami's fingertips as he locked onto the same post from before. This next technique was also D rank like the Spark Shot, as fast but was stronger, but it couldn't cover the distance like the Spark Shot could. Blue lightning coursed between his fingertips before it was fired towards the post. The lightning took the shape of an arrow one metre and fifty centimetres long. The blue lightning arrow sped through the air and crashed into the post splintering it. This was the Lightning Arrow, Raiton Ninjutsu Yami had invented. Though its not like it was hard to make so their were probably lots of people who had similar ideas.

Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO] Empty Re: Mastering the Lazy Sword: Act One [Training | IO]

Post by Yami Kaguya Thu Sep 13, 2018 2:44 am

Yami took a deep breath in and began to channel chakra to ever part of his body. Yami manipulated the chakra turning it into the lightning element. Lightning coursed through his veins as he willed it to form on the surface of his skin. Blue electricity crackled around the Kaguya's body forming a thin coating that covered him from head to toe. Raising a hand, Yami examined the coating. The coating would fluctuate, but Yami would react increasing the flow of chakra while condensing his lightning chakra to help stabilise it. This coat of lightning was a protective shield, that could be used to block incoming attacks of a particular strength. It would be most useful against anything with D power. As for C it would be able to block and absorb one blow. B and above would just break through with ease.

Yami cut the flow of chakra off, allowing the blue aura to dissipate. Chakra flowed through his body again, as Yami condensed it into the lightning element. The shinobi concentrated the chakra before releasing it from their body. A bright explosive flash burst forward into the world around him expanding to cover a twenty-metre distance. Anything caught within would find their vision going white as they become blind, but only temporarily. The Light Flash technique would be used to help create an opening for the swordsman.

Sighing the swordsman retreated, leaving the training fields for his home. He had done a lot of physical work today and was tired. He was looking forward to collapsing onto his nice comfy bed and fall asleep.
