Yün streamed through the building floating upon a cloud nimbus, stratusing forth until he reached the room of the Raikage. Since being promoted to Tokubetzu Jounin, he had amassed quite the prestige on the field and thought to inform the Kage of any information which could be valuable for the Reformation and progression of the village. With a white Yukata, he'd glide through her doorway, hoping to see the Kage in chair awaiting. Through his white mask, and golden bandages hanging loosely on top he'd ask: 'Raikage, Lady Nariko...Do you have a moment to speak on recent events and plans for the future of the village?' he'd ask in grace hoping for an able reply.

Before he could actually enter her office, Lei would be stopped by two of Nariko's Jounin guards who regularly guarded her office. Nariko didn't have any appointments for today, and a check in attendant would have come back with him if he had followed protocol. Escorts through this building were effectively mandatory as of late, and they took their jobs seriously.

"Halt right there sir." A tall, powerfully built man would say. His skin was dark, hair shaved down to practical non existence, with an imposing demeanor about him. Yasutoro Sado was his name, and though people found him intimidating it was mainly an act. He wasn't necessarily violent, but he would fight if he had to, and he was good enough to guard the Raikage's office.

His partner on duty was a female Jounin around the same height as Yasutoro, who was already tall for a man, so she was quite the imposing woman. She was equally dark skinned, with golden dreaded locks of hair that flowed towards her shoulder blades. Lin Sado, the man's sister was every bit his equal, but she was more silent and chose to let her brother do the talking.

"What business do you have with the Raikage, and why didn't you follow proper protocol by checking in to see if the Raikage was available?"

Upon attempting his entry, there stood two guards on watch of the office, in which Yün was welcomed by. Before his entry, they asked him a question. Seeking to be pardoned from thier defensive persuits, Lêï Zhën'Yün saught to answer. 'I have no personal business of thine own.' Yun said quaintly. 'Although, I am gift Intel of events which took place a couple of years ago. I was told that I would need to clarify what happened during the attack within the Valley of Jehoshaphat, during the seize of the White Serpentress and the run away of one of our fellow village Shinobi, if it had not been reported at all.' Yun said, rubbing his left hand through his fluffy white hair. 'In appropiacy, I have another matter to attend to, however I will provide a report whenever I am finished. I'd like to surprise you with something, as Tokubetzu. Untill next time, Nariko.

Upon returning to the village, a guard from the registry hasted her way upon the stride of the silvern winds, skating amongst the air, til she reached the office of the kage. She immediately checked in for clearance, which she was approved to knock upon the arning of Nariko's open doowy, before gently asking 'Lady Nariko, do you have a moment to share? I have excellent news.' She stated bowing with letter in hand.

A clone of the Cloudian streamed through the doorway, in henge, white hair flowng with his white, silver, and blue yukata embroidered with golden, walking in on the secretariant speaking with Lady Nariko, proposing the letter which was gifted to him by the elders of Shimogakure. 'Ah. I stratus'd in at the right time.' Lëî Zhën'Yün said, introducing himself subtly.

After noticing his entrance, the secretary gifted him the letter, bowing to him and stepping towarss the side, before allowing him to advance into the room. 'Lady Nariko, I have returned from my travels as promised. Upon my search through the land of Frost, I found a village of Shimogakure. I was greeted by a group of jounin before meeting with the elders, after brief consultation, they gfted me a letter to give to you in accordance of allegiancy.' he said gently, walking forward and placing the letter on her desk, before bowimg away a few paces.

Nariko was a little surprised at the appearance of not one, but two people at a very similar amount of time, but none the less, she nodded to both of them. The lady, it appeared, had been sent by Lei, as she handed him the letter she was holding upon him entering.

Nariko accepted the letter from Lei, and read over it quickly before closing her eyes and nodding silently. She was quite tired, but this was fairly good news. If the Land of Frost was open to an alliance, or at least open to talking about one, then she could prepare some sort of diplomatic party there.

"Thanks for the information, I appreciate it." she said softly. "There are some other matters to deal with, but this will be a top priority as well."

Nariko sighed, before giving Lei a quick glance over. "You took off after Natsuru, didn't you? Did you find out anything interesting from your short trip?"

Lëî was quite thankful Nariko was gentle in over looking his need for freedom by just leaving the village upon his whim. He thought for the best outcome, yet was quite surprised when he wasn't scolded for leaving abruptly during thier last meeting before tailing for Kirigakure. Listening to the calm words of Nariko, he spoke up gallantly, answering her with reconcilation. 'I remember Natsuru saying she would be gone for a month or so in the Land of Water, thus I tracked her, seeing I had not previously known the land. To my avail, I found her ferry strinding upon the docks of what the fishermen called the Ota in the Hozuki Isle. I streamed through the dense jungle unnoticed by anyone, whether animal or shinobi. In doing so, I was able to successfully track her without her noticing, however was not able to enter the gates at the time. The security was tight and armed, thus I could not enter as easily, nor was I greeted as kindly as Frost, even with me attempting to bring attention to my need for entrance. In hopes of not causing any forms of dissonance, I left here to report her whereabouts.' He said relaying the truth to Nariko. 'I am sure to meet with her before her return her in Kumogakure, however...' he said prospectively. 'What are the other matters which inquire to be attend to? Maybe I can alleviate you in advancing our priorities.' Lei suggested, hoping to help Lady Nariko. He had the leisure time before having to search for Natsuru, thus thought to help the village with what he could while he was in the Raikage's office.

Nariko nodded. "If you know the location of Kirigakure, please pass on that knowledge. We may have need of it soon enough." She was pretty happy with this developement as it would save her time and resources trying to figure out where Kirigakure's main village was, and would let them form a blockade against the village until Ken was released to Kumo's custody. The best part about that was that they wouldn't need to lose the element of surprise and a long drawn out engagement was less likely.

"Aside from that, no, you're free to go for the time being." she said, before momentarily hesitating. "Actually, no, one more thing. Keep an eye on Lady Superior Mora. I don't fully trust her, and as much as I'd like to trust Shimiko to do so, I don't know who she is more loyal to, me or the church."

The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm Empty Re: The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm

In knowing the coordinates of Kirigakure he saught to let Nariko know. 'The location of land of water is abridged within the south eastern cooridor of our ports among the outskirts of the land. When I traveled by cloud, I was able to subtly slueth and track Natsuru while she was within an aristocratic vessel, sailing upon the seas. The trip was approximately 36 hours from the port, yet by air, I could sail faster akin a hummingbird within the dawning of the spring.' Lei said, drawing forth a detailed map, calligraphically, within air for Nariko to see. He reached for his Regalia of Asclepius, his divining rod, pipette, and flute, gracing it among the air. It's wings began to tremble and buzz with electricity, emanating a cloud of transclucent poffins from it's tip as the map began to manifest through Lëî's elegance. The clouds stratus'd thin as a single layer, akin paper, whilst ranton streamed and streaked within, blaring in an electric cerulean neon light sonating, racing and pacing among the layer, accurately drawing out the coordinates in a charteographic manner. The map sheened forth like an aetheric glyph, ghosting amongst the molecules of air and water, which the thin layer of cloud held enlightenly through the controlled lazers of lightning. With his lazers and clouds, he drew two maps, one with the coordinates of the land of frost with a detailed layout of what he saw in Shimogakure, the other of land of water, with what he saw leading to the gates of Kirigakure with Natsuru entering.

The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm Thomas-a-szakolczay-opsmap-1

After he finished streaming forth the locations and playback of finely tuned images within the utilization of his artistry, his fine coordination, dawning in lazer fast speed, with his mastery of intellect, and perception through the rememberance of the smallest and largest details upon the thin layers of cloud with ingenuity of Fuuton Suiton, Raiton, Ranton chakra, he spoke lightly on what was to come to pass after receiving such information and what he could alleviate Nariko with while he was in village, after hearing her light briefing. 'How coincidental you'd speak Superior Lady Mora.' he said noticing the singularity. After finished the maps, he Manuevering the clouds and images towards the both sides of Narikos desk; The Land of Frost and Shimogakure on the left, The Land of Waves and Kirigakure on the right. 'I recently was kinected with the Lady by a group of Anbu whom lead me towards the Defence Coordination Center, where I spoke with her briefly. She presented me with a mission in which I gladly accepted, seeing as it was a fairly simple task, although I wonder...If you do not trust her, why give them or the church authorization within the village?' Lëî inquisited. 'I have known briefly of the church, with the radical Jashinist being among the volley of them, however see thier way of handling the operatum of the village quite unsanitary. They slaughter victims, drink thier blood, and say it is for thier diety in which they evoke such power for immortality. The accordance of thier ways is wrong and an abhorring image for you as Kage among the civilians or the allegiancy among other villages. I believe it is not righteous or just to have them with any power and to prevent you from harm.' he said sincerely. 'Also, another question...' he said striding through his mind to sublime with Nariko while he hand the time and the chime. 'I was requested in urgency by Honiko in a meeting before I streamed here to report my grandest finds while exploring. Why is she in village if she was labeled as a criminal? Her and her group of things have shown forth a show in the chunnin exams, from what I hear among the masses, yet thier prestige among the lands reek of villanry. Why would they be permitted inside the village if they blatenty attack on of our resource sites and out post?' he asked lastly seeking an answer through insight and wisdom.

The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm Empty Re: The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm

Post by Nariko Thu Feb 28, 2019 10:34 pm

As luck would have it, Lei's proclivity for wandering had actually proved incredibly useful in this current situation. Not only had she opened up communication with the Land of Frost, but she now knew the location of Kirigakure without wasting any resources and time trying to find it. Additionally, she wouldn't endanger her scouts by having to send them looking, and that was always a good thing.

The Raikage was pretty intelligent, something she had to be in order to run a country, and with that came the perks of being able to recall plenty of things and commit stuff to memory with very little actual thought put into it. She glanced over the map Lei created, and would have to get that delivered to her Defense Coordination Center.

Of course, things couldn't end off on a good note, and Lei began asking her questions about the Jashin church and Honiko on top of that. Not even attempting to suppress a grimace, Nariko sighed. She really didn't owe him any answers, and would be well within her rights to simply dismiss him from her office at this point, but there wasn't much harm in dignifying him with at least something.

"You appear to be mistaken at least in part. The Orthodox Church of Jashinism has no real authority in Kumogakure. I am allowing the religion to take roots because I believe in religious freedom, and that's really the main reason. The Orthodoxy is a little different than Jashinism as it has been known, in that they target only criminals, and I felt they could be useful as executioners. Beyond that, it's much better to know your enemy than to not. The only real difference between when Jashinism was banned and since then is that all the closet Jashinists have come out of hiding."

The Raikage gave Lei a shrug. "It's simpler to know who may be a threat and who may not be. When it was illegal, anybody could have been one. I'm sure there are still those who keep their affiliation with the church under wraps. At least now I can keep tabs on a lot more though. It's precisely because I don't trust Mora that I'm letting her operate here. I'm aware that she can be useful, but I also want to keep her on a leash rather than give her free reign."

She hoped that was sufficient enough a reply concerning the church. Rather intentionally, Nariko had left out that Shimiko had asked her personally to legalize the religion, and that had been a major factor in her doing so, but she would never admit that out loud.

"As for Honiko, it's simple enough if you think about it for more than a few moments. Look at it from my side here. She and her group have evaded our scouts for several years, and have proven difficult at best to track down. Then they show up on our doorstep during the Chuunin Exams, asking us to participate in the Tourney. Not being present there when they showed up," Nariko shot him a pointed look, almost daring him to say something about his absence at that time, "you may not be aware that Honiko presented a massive threat to our nation from an internal stand point, and it was advantageous to let her come in unhindered. I really didn't want to fight her in our capital when it could be avoided. Besides, it was better to have her under supervision within our rules than to simply have a fight then and there. Collateral damage would have been potentially catastrophic."

She paused to draw breath, before continuing. "Furthermore, we know very little about the Society, their size, their base, command structure. Agreeing to house them for a period of time would have presented multiple infiltration opportunities. Akame, before falling comatose, had previously discussed infiltrating their ranks and that was the plan we were going to utilize, but shortly after the confrontation with Honiko, she fell ill to our mysterious plague. Obviously that plan didn't pan out, but they're already here and I've given my word that they won't be assailed during their time here. That doesn't mean I'm letting them go with no issues, and I do plan on having scouts trail them, either to find their base easier, or eliminate them once they are no longer within threat range of Kumogakure."

Sitting back in her chair, Nariko looked at Lei, gauging his reactions as she did so. Hopefully what she had given him was plenty enough, and she was honestly a bit surprised that he even had to ask why she had done anything. She didn't really care that he was questioning her, she had just expected him to trust that she knew what she was doing, like so many of her other shinobi seemed to do. There was a small matter with Natsuru, where she had hoped to talk to her and explain the situation a little more clearly with her, but Natsuru had left before she had got the chance to do so in the first place, so that would have to be a later discussion.

The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm Empty Re: The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm

Post by KhaixRozary Fri Mar 01, 2019 7:17 pm

Lëî began to sense the subtlety of having Jashinism as a religious group, despite thier past. Jashinism as a controlled front, indeed could supplement with ANBU, Assassins, and Executioner's, however at the extent of stability of the village seemed...strange. He believed in Nariko to make an adequate decision, yet not see forth the affliction of which Jashinism had already caused before banding them within the village, especially with thier ways being Unorthodox than parallel to any form which is 'wholeheartfully righteous' in which Lëî has always saught. It was the same for the individual notions of Honiko, and now Lady Mora, whom he had no occurance of previously knowing she was a portion of the Unorthodoxy, until mentioned. Akin her, he cared for the santity of the village, yet disagreeded with allowing the enemy through the front door of a village which she swore to protect. In all occurance of learning, he let the info stream without degression of respect for her word or his Superior, hoping what she was doing would lead them to the pansion of peace, which he divinated for the village.

'I appreciate the supplicancy' He'd say calmly. 'Being I am one whom will for the light, I am sure you can comprehend why the infallacy of the previous roles of Jashinism has caused wariness, and the santification of such a faction to be seen as unjustified before my eyes. Regardless, I address such concerns with you hoping you know the causation of such actions. There is spoken word amongst the civilians and craftsment whom have complained of the lingering smell of death and blood amongst the temple of Jashin. Surely, I'd hope you not see them as a positive example within the light of the villages eyes. Such ways of desecration are best covered amongst the shroud of the shadows. How do we purge the souls of the wicked so that it is done justly without pleading the distraught blood of the fallen?' Lëî asked. Of course, he asked such question because, he too, knew that his duty was to be of good, and to purge the wicked amongst the lands, albiet in a cleaner fashion. The way of Jashin's regime seemed dark and twisted, thus he couldn't see much good from thier past into the future. Being that they had a church, instead of a covert faction, aside from Ambu, beckoned a taint which Lëî could smell from Nariko's tongue and he didn't like being lied as an Adjucator of Peace, Righteousness, and Justice. If it was anything he knew : 'A wicked past could birth a righteous future.'

Upon hearing of Akame and her comatose state, he wondered of what happened with his Jounin comrade. 'What has happened to Lady Akame? I wasn't aware there was a plague which swept among the lands. I must have missed the ail when I was searching for Land of Frost and tailing Natsuru to find Kirigakure. Tell me. Did any of the physicians, medical specialist, or chemist find a cure to such plague? And how come you and I have developed immunities among it's spreading phage of darkness?.' In mind he knew it was indeed a haze among the field in Kumogakure which needed to be sort out to bring forth the healing of the masses, especially if he needed to cure them of a 'mysterious disease or virus'. Maybe there was a vaccination, an antibiotic, or antidote which he could create to cure them of thier sickness and malignancies. He knew that the sickness, the taint of the jashins, and the wavering of his loyalty based on the actions of his comerades and Nariko indeed needed o be sorted into order, before he made way to wonder again.

The Shadow of Lightning and the Will of the Storm Empty Flashback: Even in the Patience of the Striding Cloud...

Post by KhaixRozary Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:17 pm

After seeing another pause in elation, the Cloudian Wonder grew weary of awaiting a reply from the Raikage, thus spoke solumnly to the supplicant and secreteriant holding silence in prayer for Lëî and Nariko. 'May you please hold space with Lady Nariko. I have a prior engagement which I need to attend. If you will bestow thine grace by keeping her company until I return, I would be most appreciative. With a charming wink, he moved forth in grace, blowing the schematics of both aetheric cloudianscreens with a slight breeze of wind which emanated from his celeric stride from the room of the Raikage towards exiting the building and stratusing forth towards the village gates.

    { Exit > Kumogakure's Gates }
