Shaking her hand, Izumi started away from the tree. The punch was way more powerful than she expected, but that tree was super tough too! It kind of hurt. She was lucky that she had gotten tougher these last few years. If it had been back when she was younger, she might have broken her hand by doing that.

Izumi walked on over towards where the clone was. She didn't really think there was any more ninjutsu or taijutsu that she could learn. There probably was like a ton out there that could be super useful. But she couldn't think of anything! The genjutsu stuff was still floating around in her head and eating at her. She knew she needed to learn some more of it. She was great at taijutsu and pretty alright at ninjutsu, but she was terrible at genjutsu. That had to change!

Izumi nodded at the clone. It was time for them to get back to it. Just like before, one would cast a Genjutsu and the other would endure it and then cast her own. Izumi had a slightly different approach this time though. She wanted to continue on with her line of thought about affecting different parts of a person, but she also wanted to try and actually get out of them.

So the clone started off with the genjutsu. In keeping with how Izumi had been arranging  her illusions from the start of this part of the session, she started off with a hand seal that she thought was closest to the affect she wanted to go for. Since she wanted to knock down a peg or two. The clone made the hare hand seal and cast out her chakra. Izumi looked at the hand seal instinctively, which most people would do and is why Izumi figured that it would be a good way to cast illusions. She already started to feel sluggish pretty much right away. She went to run, try out what she thought her clone was trying to do.

She tried to run as fast as she normally did, but her legs just wouldn't go that fast. She felt like she was worn down and weary. Even though she tried to shake it off, it didn't really work. It just felt like something inside of her had gone wrong. This is when she got the idea to try out that old technique that all the strong ninja used. They could use their chakra like a surge to cleanse themselves of all the foreign chakra in their system that might be causing illusory effects. Izumi made the hand seal that she knew went with the kai technique and closed her eyes. She focused on her chakra and tensed up for a second. Her chakra burst right then and cleared the genjutsu out of her system. The clone raised her eyebrows at it. There was no obvious difference, but the real Izumi obviously wasn't being affected by the genjutsu anymore. If it really worked well, she might be able to fight off other people's genjutsu. That by itself made the whole ordeal worth it. Even if she couldn't master it herself, she might can fight it enough to put her stronger areas to use against her opponents.

Izumi went and formed another hand seal. It was her turn to cast a genjutsu on the clone and see what the clone could do about getting out of it. Since the clone didn't get to use the kai technique herself and didn't want to copy the original, she would hopefully come up with something different. But first came the genjutsu. The real Izumi made the monkey hand seal. Because monkeys are pretty good with their hands and feet. She focused her chakra into her hands and as soon as the clone looked at the hand seal, Izumi's chakra surged out. The clone was caught immediately, but didn't feel anything right away. That's because Izumi was still pretty new with these techniques. She worked her chakra just right and suddenly the clone started to shake a little bit. It wasn't terribly noticeable, but when the clone went to get out of it, she was moving way slower with her hands. That was pretty good payback in Izumi's eyes since the clone made her walk slower.

But because the clone was just as clever and determined as the real Izumi, she came up with a creative way to get out of it. She actually used Izumi's own stream of chakra to carry a genjutsu back over. It nullified the effects of the tremor genjutsu and allowed the clone to craft an alternate one. Fortunately, the clone didn't have to make this one up. That made it way quicker.

Izumi started to see flower petals appear out of nowhere and they swarmed around her. She was in awe of the beauty at first, but then she started to get worried. There were too many of them! She started to freak out cause they were covering her mouth and nose. She couldn't breathe! That's when Izumi remembered that it was just an illusion and went to working her way out of it. She started by cancelling out the genjutsu she'd cast on the clone. That did it! The flower petals all went away. It looked like that particular counter genjutsu only worked so long as the first genjutsu was active.

Next up was the clone's turn. She made the dog hand seal because. Because. She didn't know why she picked that one. Dogs chase their tails, so maybe that's why it was the first thing to come to her mind. Izumi looked at the hand seal and waited for the effects to kick in. It took so long that she started to think on what she was going to have for dinner. Would Izumo be there this time? Maybe he was still on a mission. Dad had lots of missions too. Why was he always home for dinner though? She missed dinner lots of times back in the academy so she could train.

A lot of minutes went by until Izumi realized that she was running in circles in her head. She had no way to focus and it was actually pretty effective at keeping her from realizing that it was a genjutsu. Eventually, she figured it out and focused enough to start on one of her own. She made the tiger hand seal and the clone looked right at it. She was surprised that the real Izumi had gotten over the genjutsu enough to do that without using kai or petal escape or something like that. She looked right at the hand seal and just watched it get out of focus. She shook her head to try and let it go. She didn't think right away that it was because of a genjutsu. They had been out there for a while. She figured that maybe it was starting to get to her. All that chakra that they had both been using and how long of a day it had been was just affecting her vision a little bit. But it didn't go away!

The clone smiled when she realized what it was. Now they had a genjutsu for every aspect of an enemy. Hopefully it would make up for the differences in the abilities of Izumi and whoever she ended up having to fight. Izumi gave her clone a high five and let her vanish. That was pretty good for a day. Now she needed to eat dinner and get some rest. Tomorrow would be another day of hard training!
