Just Another Day

Naito was walking home from another batch of lame missions. Being a Genin really wasn't exciting as he thought it would be. The lean, graceful shinobi-in-training was looking forward to just collapsing against his pillow. Even if his missions were lame, they still took their toll on the poor man. Endless labor on menial tasks racked up over time. Still, he was glad to get a paycheck at the very least. Being broke sucked.

The stars from Kumogakure's skies looked closer, and shined brighter than anywhere else in the world. At least that's what his parents told him anyway. He enjoyed walking home on nights like this. The clear night sky provided a soothing radiance for him.

The twins had their orders as they were in ANBU gear and wore their Tanuki masks Yui wore a red mask and Yua wore the black mask. They would head to capture their target and place him in their custody under the guise of protecting him. They would move to his known location as he was being watched carefully and waited until he was heading home before the squads would appear before him.

"Naito Yoshida, we have very credible intelligence suggesting your life is in danger, we need you to come with us for your safety as well as protecting the village. Please understand this is only to keep you safe and out of harm's way, if you would not mind please join us and we will take you to a safe location."

They would wait to see if he would comply as the twins were in the front, they hoped he did not resist. They had the bag ready to cover his head if he did agree, this was to of course protect him if he did not know where he was he could not say anything to draw harm to himself.

He was eager to get home. The Genin just wanted to have a drink, lay down, and get some good ole "zzz's" but that was clearly not about to happen. His walking stopped as a new figure appeared, or rather two of them. From what he could tell they were serious looking. The masks that they wore, the gear that they donned, and the presence they gave off. All of it was serious, and they were clearly real shinobi (unlike his punk ass).

He was apparently in danger. What kinda nonsense was that? He was nobody, a craftsmen's son from a lower class family. He was of no value to anyone or anything, save for the village he now served as a shinobi (albeit a grunt).

"I think you've got the wrong guy. There's no way that anyone's after me of all people. I'm going home," he said.

He continued walking, his back turned towards the twins as he continued on towards his house.

The twins watched his body language as he tried to continue home before the others with the pair would appear before him, he was now totally surrounded. He was not having a choice he would come with them and he had no choice if he continued to struggle they had no issues knocking him out.

"I do not think you understand you are not being given an option, you are coming with us this is a direct order from the ANBU. Continue to struggle and we will be forced to take you in with less comfortable methods. Trust us when we say your life is in danger, and we cannot risk you being harmed for our nation's sake and future."

The Twins would move behind him and quickly try to put the sack over his head if he struggled they would use physical force and he likely stood no chance with as many shinobi that were there. He would enjoy his time if given the chance but first, he had to realize he had no say in where he is going. They hope he chose the peaceful path but if he did not they would make him suffer some as a smile was under Yui's mask, he did not want to see the sadistic side of the twins.

Well Naito was clearly in a real pickle. So this is why being outside at such a late hour was ill-advised. He thought he was safe inside the comfort of his own village, but clearly not. There were other forces at work today, and none of them were working in the shinobi's favor here. Purple eyes scanned the others as they interrupted his approach with serpent threats. He wasn't sure that these lasses were real ANBU, but given the circumstances he wasn't really in a position where that mattered either way.

The black man was surrounded.

Naito let out a soft sigh, clearly annoyed with the situation. But he wasn't stupid. His odds of escaping this fight were null with this many around. Even if he tried to resist, he'd just be putting himself in greater odds of danger. He complied with them, allowing the sack to go over his head. His heart began to pound and his body glistened with sweat. Despite his best attempts at being brave, Naito was afraid.

He didn't want to die.

As they took him away only a single thought rushed to his panicked mind.  "Andariel...,"

The twins smiled they could feel his fear, they could almost taste his fear as Yui got close and moved to the right side of him with Yua to the left. The pair would begin to guide him holding his hand to the location designated to the pair by the church. They would have no issues guiding him as the would smile, today was a good day for lord Jashin. They did wonder who the church would send for negations maybe the pair would be sent. They were cute and appeared harmless to most people but that was their greatest weapon.

They knew the church was gaining in power but they also knew maybe they would need to force changes in the church. The church tolerated their clan but they only leeched off the clan, to protect Shimiko they would do anything they had to in order to secure their clan the top power in the church. Even if Mora was suddenly overcome with an illness at her fragile age, anything for Shimiko and her clan.

Normally being escorted by a couple of girls would be seen as an admirable thing for a young man of Naito's standing. But these circumstances were far from normal, rather as far away from normal as one could plausibly get. The man was silent, quiet as the forces took him away. Darkness swallowed his world. They too were without words as they whisked him away into the night. He didn't know where he was going, and he didn't know what was happening. All he knew was that this was a situation headed towards nowhere safe.

He only wanted to make it out of this in one piece. There was not enough cause to surrender hope.
