History:
Personality: Mineko faces a stranger with ambiguity and only offers warmth and honesty to kin. If a person has any worth to her, she is the kind to risk her well being for the sake of theirs.
Dwelling into the forests, from Konoha to the outskirts of Kumogakure, liberated to shun society is a privilege she finds herself in great luxury with. Combating strangers or who dare to trespass her boundaries or have malicious intent. She hunts, gathers, and scavenges in the wilderness, treading barefoot on the undergrowth however harsh and damp, wading across through lakes and white water rivers however shallow or deep, and climbing atop of oak trees to redwoods however tall they may be. Living in secrecy is her way of survival and her survival is her strength. That was her mantra which explains why she rarely visited towns and villages if she were to, it was not for a benevolent purpose.
Her home was never the house they reside in but the people who were in it and now what is left for her home is a man, knowledgeable and wise though his body is slowly deteriorating by his age, most people will protect their home as it still stands and as for her, she will protect her home while he still breathes. No matter being taught countless of times to never fear death, all of us doomed in each’s mortality, she fears not her death but his. No matter how many deaths you have witnessed, seeing a loved one ascend to the stairway of heaven is brutal that you would wish it was you instead.
News spreads quickly like a bolt of lightning everywhere from Hi no Kumi to Kaminari no Kuni, of endless updates of shinobis and their battles, with the uprising numbers of new shinobi troops leave her restless, thus her hatred grew stronger and her rage fierier. This strives to train herself relentlessly better than ever before. If it was easy for her to kill a shinobi with a snap of a finger, half of its population would have already been dead.
Life was not always desperate and melancholy. Back when times were simpler, Mineko once adored a dollhouse that was gifted to her which included a set of a little wooden family of 3, she had fallen in love with the idea of becoming a loving mother, with a hard-working husband and children of her own secured in a comfortable cozy home. Deep inside the many layers of hatred to return with society, anguish, and resentment from her most poignant tragedy, she still marvels at the idea but without the courage to start, she brushes it off as “childish” to think its an ideal way of living. For her to settle now would be overwhelming for her tastes.
She finds herself reminiscing about her past whenever she meditates, the feeling of true tranquility surges through her every time, the vivid moments of her mother and her discussing about books that they‘ve read, laying down on a patch of grass with her father and his arm around her sky dazing, or her grandfather making strong herbal tea which the scent Mineko dislikes. It is somewhat surprising that she can still find peace in the circumstances that gives her great paranoia.
There isn't much comfort and company she believes she is capable of giving, she is hesitant to make new relationships, she excuses it new as just another burden to carry and another obstacle for you to be able to think logically. She restrained herself to remain in vigilance. To keep her sure of freedom, she refuses to accept help from those who offer. And from the suppression bestows a reserved yet driven Mineko, which have been caught with an arrogance that she uses to conceal her cowardice self underneath since childhood.

She was raised in a loving and understanding family with high virtues, unlike other people in their area, they never once stole, begged, nor was in debt to anyone. From the conditions they were in, compared to her and the neighboring children, she considered herself to be blessed with the family she was set into despite their circumstances they have never lost their morals or dignity. The shinobis of Iwa prevented their town to let evil reign. Once, Mineko’s mother's heirlooms of jewelry were stolen but fortunately, after giving the task to a shinobi to search them, have been retrieved a month later, with the thief caught and sent to prison. The shinobis play a vital role to the land, serving justice and protection; without the shinobis present, their small fragile town would havoc, they have been forever thankful for their service. Since then Mineko looked highly of the shinobis and ambitioned to be one at least once in her lifetime.
Years ago, Mineko’s parents separated, “I’ve married another woman.” Her father announced, he married into a prestigious renowned to be noble. Mineko was in denial of that fact and the changes her father had after, which gaining an elitist personality was one, was why she chose to ignore it, hence she never asked who was the woman he married. She expected the relationship with her father and the family would shift. In spite of this separation, whenever the father visited, through Mineko’s observation, the parents’ romanticism didn’t leave and they remained inseparable as if they were still together. Her mother and grandfather continued to respect each other as father-daughter as well, more like the grandfather preferred Mineko’s mother over his new daughter in law. The young naive and innocent Mineko thought this was all normal. The father visited regularly once a week, making the commute from Konoha to Iwa, gradually over time he started visiting more often than planned to coming back and staying back home entirely, disregarding the existence of his new wife.
Everything kept being harmonious until the day they were to be assassinated, it was at the time Mineko’s father was present in their home. Abruptly appeared shinobis left and right surrounded them, the family was cornered, with no one in the household had any training to defend except the grandfather. The grandfather told his family to escape as he distracts and fights off the shinobis, outnumbered, his old physical strength was not capable to defend as he used to in his youth. Impressively, he was able to get his granddaughter and daughter in law out of the house. Mineko and her mother ran as far as their feet could but not as fast enough from the one shinobi who chased them, took the mother away at Mineko. The tall dark figure partially kept their faces hidden for their identity. The sobbing Mineko thought this was the end of them. Returning to their house, checked if others were also taken away, it was left in shambles, She saw her grandfather beaten until unconscious. He had put up a fight.
Leaving Mineko with her grandfather. Alone, shattered and depressed. What was once she thought was heroic protectors of their land became villains of her life and swore herself to kill every shinobi insight. With no more guidance leading her, Mineko fled and the darkness began to consume her, she now wanders in the depths of the forests enduring weathers, with no shelter and fighting off creatures alone. Stealing was her way of gaining satisfiable sustenance. Over two years of doing so she has only gotten better at it. The memory of her parents unjustly death was one she wanted to forget but at the same time continue to remember, this has left her frustrated, contemplating her death and at times blood-hungry for shinobis with their false righteousness.

- Deep into the forests of Kumogakure, Mineko laid on a soft patch of grass, the trees circling her cover the sunbeams sparsely, emanating light from above. She has drifted, like a boat loosely tied to a dock, in and out of meditation. Something is amiss, but she doesn’t know what yet. A familiar voice called out. “Mineko, wake up. Run, Mineko. You have to leave. Quickly. Don’t look back, save yourself.” the voice was almost unclear like radio static disrupted it. She slept holding her dagger rested on her chest, as if she knew to be prepared. The atmosphere became empty and silent, then flooded with a red light that Mineko followed, extending each leg as she stepped carefully actually causing the ground to splash. It whisked her home. Her mother and father were in their bedroom, lying on the narrow bed, propped up with blankets and pillows. They both simultaneously sat up, their faces shined as they turned their heads to her. Her mother’s hair was spread around her shoulders, which was rarely seen. They reached out their arms for Mineko. Mineko entered through the room’s only window and grasped their embrace. Her father smiled and nodded, relieved. Her mother caressed her face dearly. They were not the only ones in the room, tall dark shadows stood in the corners, she ignored them. The parents eyed at the shadows then looked to Mineko for a solution.
She understood and took the actions she should’ve done way before. She turned around to find one of the shadows stood before her ready to fight, the shadow growled loudly that almost made Mineko reluctant to act. The shadow flew an arm, swung it over to Mineko’s head which it missed thanks to her dodge bowing down that was powered at an instinct but only to be met with an unexpected uppercut to the stomach followed by the shadow that gave an aching pain. She attempted to fix her posture, once she finally did, no seconds in, the shadow clawed her left arm that left a deep scratch. Bloodshed a vibrant crimson. The shadow growled again, louder than before to which Mineko has had enough of. She flung her right leg and hit the tall dark shadow’s head. It was quick to recollect itself but Mineko, at an instant, then kicked with her left and it stayed on the ground. Mineko went down with it and pressed her knee to its gut, using all her weight, hopefully making the shadow’s eyes bulge out. They held hands, each pushing their force to make the shadow give into submission or to tip Mineko over, they were at a standstill. For a second Mineko made herself top-heavy which the shadow found the open area and made its way over her. Laying on the ground in between the shadow’s legs, her dagger appeared at her right hand --- she attempted to punch with her left, the shadow quickly caught her flailing arm with both of its hands, abusing her advantage, with no hesitation slit open the shadow’s throat. The shadow did its last growl in agony, head high. A satisfying screech for Mineko. The room, once again, transitioned into emptiness. The other shadows in the corners dissipated from the wind but the shadow she seemingly killed remained. Black thick substance, like tar, oozed out of its wound. Mineko pushed the heavy shadow to the side then stood up to examine the area. Her wound kept bleeding and Mineko’s world felt as though it was spinning, a faint noise was appearing like a cry of an animal. A cry of a familiar animal telling her to snap out of it.
The barking Indigo woke up her partner Mineko, although still a puppy his voice was already loud and obnoxious. Back into reality, the contrast of the many greens surrounded her gave the red of blood it’s outstanding color, from her left arm’s clawed wound to the corpse of the bear that lies down peacefully next to her. Mineko woke upstanding, her body tired of exercise with a guilty dagger in hand. “Thank you for waking me up, Indigo.” She muttered. Indigo went up towards her and sat down beside her. “Did the bear mean to threaten me?” Mineko wished. Again, as if he wasn’t a witness, Indigo did not answer.
