Guard duty? [Kazan, Fushi and Haruko]

Mission detaila:

It was time to earn some money. The budding storm had been recently promoted to Genin, and it was time to start working, to earn his keep at home. Early in the day, the male would report to the mission board to receive his first assignment; simple guard duty. Fortunately, it was something very easy for him to do. Unfortunatly, it was an all day tour, so he would be at it for 24 hours. He would, according to the briefing, due to the recent escalating tensions within the other countries, guards would be increased in the village as a precaution against potential actions taken by other other nations.. While the finer details were above his pay grade and thus, he was not privy to the knowledge, he was informed that he, and those else working his shift would be patrolling from dusk until dawn.

As the briefing was dismissed, the Toku-Jo in charge of the mission advised them all to be well rested for their shift. Anyone who was found to be slacking off would be sent home without pay for their time, and given corporal punishment for their actions.

It was still early in the morning, so Kazan decided to spend his time wisely; his spear was in need some repairs, so he decided to drop it off with a well known weaponsmith. Upon being informed by the smith that the repairs would take most of the day, Kazan decided to leave the weapon to the man until completed, and go about his errands. He figured it would be done by the time he had to report for duty at seven pm, so he could get some rest. After leaving the weapon smith, he ventured home where he ate breakfast, assisted his aunts and uncles with a few chores around the home. It was almost noon when the male settled himself down to get some rest so that he could be ready for the shift.

~~~Later in the day~~~

It was five pm when the male awoke. After a quick meal, the male took a shower and proceeded to grab some clothing; an Indian chunnari around his shoulders and a small, short-sleeved, black, midriff-baring choli, which is where he keeps his tanto. He also sports an Indian leg dress, which stops at his ankles, but does not wear shoes. He has gold bangle bracelets that extend from his elbows to his wrists and a gold bangle necklace with a ruby in the center that is inspired by Rajasthani folk dancers. When he was satisfied with his appearance, the male gathered up his kunai and shuriken, then ventured out of his house after letting his family know that he was going off for a mission, and made his way to the weapons smith's shop.

Upon arriving, he was greeted by the weapon smith's assistant, who informed him that the weapon smith had to leave early due to a family emergency. As such, all the orders that were placed that morning, were on hold until the man returned the next day.

Great. His first mission, and he was sans his weapon. Just wonderful.

With this news, the male would make his way to the rendezvous point at the village's main gates, arriving a half hour early. As he would lean against the massive gates and wait as people filtered in, he would watch them carefully. The male was not the type to socialize with people, he tended to keep to himself, but would speak if spoken to. Arms folded across his chest, glowing red eyes watched the world go by as the sun sank behind the mountains.

Light footsteps slowly carried a young woman towards the village gates, pure white hair half covered by a matching white hoodie, the hoodie itself long sleeved and a bit baggy on the petite half breed. Ice glazed eyes watched out just a bit in front of herself as she walked, hands slid into her hoodie pockets, the young Kaguya-Yuki having no shoes on, simply having her legs wrapped from just behind her toes to her shins in bandages. Her arms from mid finger too nearly her elbows was the same...seems she'd been taking some style cues from her sensei. Not surprising, as at this point, Haruko lived with Akeruseirei. Her bottoms was a simple pair of black booty shorts...her hoodie so baggy that it basically covered it up. Some could mistake her for only wearing the hoodie and nothing else...but Haruko wasn't so shameless.

Her azure hues were distant, glossed over by ice--almost as if looking into a different world, one within her own mind. As if on autopilot as she slowly made her way the village gates. She'd arrive with about twenty minutes to spare, as she did she'd take notice of a man leaned against the massive gate, taking quick note of his bright red eyes...but she'd keep her own gaze low, not making eye contact for more then a split moment. She'd quietly lean against a wall near the gate, head tilted down, eyes focused on the ground in front of her...as usual, keeping to herself. She wasn't sure if the other man there was one she was to work with over this next day, and wasn't gonna ask in case he wasn't. If he was, she'd find out eventually, right?

Reading over the yellowed paper the noble Fushidarana Uzumaki would sigh and roll her eyes, this mission was so mundane. When would she get to do the fun shit, she wondered to herself tightening her grip upon the papers. It was now her only hope that her partners assigned to the mission were interesting or the female ninjutsu user was in for quite a full time and thanks to her upbringing, she hated dull times.

It had become a bit of a habit to read her mission briefings as she walked to her missions now, not quite certain where it began but the intel was nice to have to make up for her lack of deductive ability. It was quite useful to get an edge in information before performing a task and the doton user knew that some other ninjas forewent this information.

Why guard duty? Did they not have peasants with sharpened sticks who could ring the bell and alert their superiors like herself to the action. Instead she would be tired out from the action if she were ever to be called upon to action on these long hours upon the wall. What horrid torment had befallen upon her this day, the tight yellow yoga pants she wore displaying her ass fabulously only did a little to raise her mood. So she would have to chew some bubblegum snarkily in order to get out some more aggression. Her pumps also helped the outfit that she wore, one had to be prepared to be fabulous after all.

Though she wore only a black bra revealing her pale torso and arms the black tattoos on her body helping the contrast that her just black hair would contribute to. Her pale blue eyes would catch two others that matched somewhat the description from the mission details as her partners and she was relieved to see they also had similar ways of displaying various amounts of skin. Perhaps she would enjoy this assignment after all, pursing her black glossed lips in determination the Uzumako's outlook flipped one hundred and eight degrees.

Arriving ten minutes before scheduled she would respond in kind and mimic the other three ninja by folding her arms under her breasts and leaning against the wall opposite of the other female ninja. "So then we gonna continue to be some loners are are you two little buddies ready to have some fun on guard duty? We could play spin the bottle you know" the tall ninja's tone was much lighter than her dark and thick eyeliner, it held a playful quality to it though she did not think spin the bottle a bad way to pass the time.

It would be rather interesting to see how the other ninjas would react to her suggestion, the more quiet ninjas sometimes had the best responses, sometimes the worst but in either case always interesting ones. So it would be that Fushi would await excitedly. The scent of the city did not quite meet them out here at the limits where a crisp breeze would bring the scents of nature to the three ninja assembled at the gates of Kiri on that day. The sounds were of nature as well aside from Fushi's odd form of breaking the ice.

Kazan remained quiet as people began to filter in behind him. He watched them as they came into view, wondering which of them he would be paired with, if any. It was a smorgasbord of strange folks; ninja who covered themselves into bandages from head to toe, even their eyes. Some carried strange weapons, like giant conch shells. Others carried more standard weaponry, like swords and kunai, and even a war hammer. There was even one guy with a pair of knunchucks.

Seeing all these people show up with their weapons caused a sigh to escape from the male. He still wished that his weapon had been ready when he'd gone to pick it up, but he could not be angry at the weapon smith. Things happened, and to be honest, Kazan should have taken the spear sooner than this morning. But, at the very least, he still had his Kunai and some shuriken. He was proficient enough with basic taijutsu to hold his own for a while, and his prowess with ninjutsu was adept. He would be fine if something were to happen.

Hopefully.

With roughly ten minutes to spare, the Toku Jo from the morning briefing appeared in their midst, whistling to capture everyone's attention. Kazan would move his learning post, and fall into formation with the rest of the gathered crowed. He could not help but glance around one last time, wondering whom he might end up paired with.

“Settle down, everyone, we're gonna make this quick! If you do not know, or missed this morning's briefing, my name is Satomi Takashi, and I'll be in charge of everyone and leading this mission. I ask that you take this mission serious, even though this is simply guard duty. Since we have roughly twenty one people present, we're gonna be splitting you guys up into nine teams of two, with one team of three. As I said earlier today, each team has been selected based upon your strengths and weaknesses, so that you can easily cover each others faults should a situation arise. For those who do not have one already, you will be issued wireless radios so that everyone can keep in touch. They are already set to the appropriate frequency. For those who do have their own radios, the frequency for this mission is 347.34. Mind you, this frequency will be used for the mission only. Unless there is an emergency, this channel is to be kept clear for those who need it.” The Toku Jo would pause for a moment, allowing an assistant to pass out wireless radios to those who did not possess one and allow those who already had one time to adjust their frequency to the mission appropriate one. As the assistant chuunin came to him, Kazan would remove one from the sets and attach it to his person, securing and hiding the earpiece beneath his hair.

Once the wireless radios were distributed to those who needed them, the Toku Jo would clear his throat, and then begin speaking once more. “All right, so. When I call your name, please step forward. I'm going to announce to everyone where the patrol rounds will be. Each Route will overlap with at least two others so that no area is left unchecked – if you are forced to deviate from your route, please call it in. We need to be aware of whats going on out there in the event of an altercation, as unlikely as it is.” Reaching into one of the pockets of his flack jacket, the Toku Jo would pull out a scroll and unravell it.

“Kaguya, Haruko!” Heads would turn about, attempting to locate the owner of the name, hoping to spot the persona as they stepped forward. However, Takashi would not wait. “Uzumaki, Fushidarana! Tatsuda, Kazan!” Once more, eyes would begin searching for the owner of the names. Kazan himself said nothing, but simply stepped forward and nodded his head to the Toku Jo.

“You guys are Alpha Squad. Get to know your teamates; your life is in their hands for for the next twenty-four hours.” Kazan frowned a bit; he was supposed to trust someone he didnt know with his life? Ehh..

They were a ninja of the village; they were skilled in thier job, and depending on thier ranking, perhaps it would not be so bad. He might even learn a few things from them in the meantime, or gain some valuable insight on how to be a better ninja.

Maybe.

It wasn't too much longer after she'd shown up that others seemed to filter in. An entire group of people, all these Shinobi ready to perform the same mission. Most seemed to be Chuunin, some Haruko even recognized from around the village--or passing through the gates times before. Some of them, this was their job daily. While others was brought in to bolster their numbers in the times they lacked--such as now. This is what drew the three Genin here. Haruko kept her gaze low, not looking at anyone, staying silent as she continued to lean against the wall, keeping to herself.

It'd seem at least one was eager to get going, a young Uzumaki girl speaking up and even cracking a joke about spin the bottle. Haruko simply ignored this...not to be rude, just because she had no response to it. She had no interest in 'spin the bottle'...and as for being loners, well, most here was, and as more showed up, it'd continue to become more crowded about the gate. Iced hues continued to remain on the ground though, gaze not lifting once to look about her...she didn't want to look at anyone. The young Kaguya kept to herself still, even after another twenty people showed up and begun to make the place feel...well, less spacious. It made her uncomfortable...

Haruko's gaze finally would rise from the ground, pulling her from the depths of her own mind, when a man showed up and seemed to take command. It'd seem this is whom would be taking charge for this task, a man named Satomi Takashi calling out for everyone to settle down, and announcing himself as Mission Leader. Haruko continued to listen to him in silence, hearing about the teams--the radios--the radio protocol. An assistant showed up, passing out the devices to those without. Haruko would receive one, the young girl slipping the ear piece over her ear and letting her hair cover it up--the radio bit itself...well, best she could do for now was pocket it in her hoodie--having no where better to put it. She wasn't used to radios...her old team when she was a teen never used them, and after years of captivity, she'd only just recently begun doing missions for the village again.

She looked to Satomi as he begun speaking again, although her gaze fell as she simply just took to listening instead of watching, her fiddling with the radio in her pocket. What would catch her off guard, almost making the petite Kaguya-Yuki half-breed jump, was him calling her out by name first, her eyes once more rising up to the man. She took half a moment to process, before stepping forward, pushed off of the wall. By this time, he'd called out the other two, Haruko glancing over to see Kazan also stepping up. Surely Fushi would soon follow, if not already with them in stepping forward. She felt a number of eyes on her now, due to being called out for 'Alpha team', making her sink into herself somewhat, head down--shoulders inching up.

But she nodded, and would go ahead--walking over closer to her team for the next full day's task, the young woman standing quietly near Kazan--the one who had gotten there first of the group. A quick glance with icy hues was cast over to Kazan, then Fushidarana, before falling to the ground between them. The one with the scary red eyes...and the 'spin the bottle' girl...Haruko wasn't sure of her teammates, but the fact was they'd all have to learn to trust one another.

Soon enough, teams had been divided up, and the official start time would come and go. Haruko would follow her teammates to wherever they went, falling behind slightly but keeping up well enough...too timid to even say anything to either. Walls of hard ice kept her distant from others...she kept her guard up, even to those she was supposed to trust. Years kept locked away...starved...tortured...raped....it all resulted in the woman's inability to let others in easily, or, for her to even socialize. Part of this stemmed from the deep down resentment she'd never admit to...she'd been left in her own hell for three years, and no one from the village even tried to save her...it left a bitter taste in Haruko's mouth--but she'd push it back, lying to herself even about her feelings she held within.
