What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tsukiyo Shinku Sun Jun 14, 2020 12:01 am

[Continuation from here.]

Pinkish-red hues could only watch as her brother was ambushed from the shadow creeping from the ceiling, eyes wide as she watched the crossbow her brother had picked up to wield was sliced in two, and the smell of his blood filled the air. Even if her brother was the one with a gift for senses, the copper smell pierced her nostrils instantly, Tsukiyo gritting her teeth. Watching Tengoku kick the man before avoiding another strike, she was about to jump into action, but as she put weight on her leg--it gave out, and she dropped to one knee--wincing.

But what happened next would've stopped her in her tracks either way.

The lights dimmed, flickered even, as energy filled the area. Tsukiyo kept her eyes locked on her brother as his growl rumbled her eardrums. She tried to get up, and managed to take a few steps before the light above the silver haired woman's head popped, showering her in sparks, her using her sleeve to cover her eyes. When she dropped her arm she could see the man hesitating at the sight of Tengoku like this, lightning arcing from his body. She was picking up on what was happening, and processing it. Even the young man's hair would change, shifting from silver to black...but as suddenly as this new found power showed itself, it'd fade away, her ears burning with the gasp as Tengoku lost his energy--and would drop to the ground--helpless.

Their attacker would find his opportunity to strike, and would go in for the kill on Tengoku. Tsukiyo pushed past her pain and would start to run towards them, hoping to be able to defend her brother in time...but out of the corner of her eye, she could see a familiar face--Masaru--stringing a series of hand seals together. The jutsu the Iwa-Born Samurai mustered would easily catch the enemy off guard and capture him, rendering him harmless for now. Tsukiyo slowed down as she approached Tengoku from behind, the pain in her thigh returning and her finding her leg giving out again. She'd drop to her hands and knees, wincing, but would keep an eye focused on her brother, as the other shut in pain. She'd force herself to move, shifting around Tengoku to sit up in front of him, the concerned sister quickly reaching up and taking Ten by his cheek, shifting his head a bit so she could get a better look at his wound.

She hadn't even heard Masaru at this point. She was focused on the injury, as any worried sibling would. She quickly would begin forming hand seals, before one of her hands lit ablaze with green healing chakra. She'd cup this hand gently over Tengoku's injured eye, working on healing him. Meanwhile, blood would drip from her own wound, her ignoring her own injuries completely.

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tengoku Wed Jun 17, 2020 1:55 pm

Tengoku felt lost within himself. Some dark place that smelled of blood. He was aware of himself though and some figure in the darkness with him. However despite his senses he couldn't figure out where. The pain that had caused him to lose consciousness was gone for the most part but everything was faded. Like there was a blur between him and his senses. He touched his eye and it flared up a little but then it was gone again. Slowly he would rise to his feet and take a step. Suddenly he was falling. Plunging into what felt like a cold liquid but he wasn't struggling to breath. Where was he? What was happening. Slowly he would stop sinking and before him a pair of massive, almost shining blue eyes would open. Revealing the shadowed face of a wolf. A great big white wolf. It stared at him a moment as it let out a growl. Speaking at Tengoku but still no sound came out. It seemed to grow frustrated at that. He couldn't hear it yet. It would open it's maw and for a moment Tengoku thought he might be swallowed whole. Until suddenly a green light broke through and then it was blinding.

Tengoku would stir a one of his eyes opened as the injured one attempted to do the same. It was still sensitive even though she had managed to keep it intact. The bleeding had stopped and the wound closed but it was deep enough to leave a flaming red scar down his eye for the time being. Tengoku would force himself to sit up. Taking in where he was and what was going on. The wolf was gone and he was in a hallway. The man who had injured him was bound by the technique he had witnessed before. Masaru was in the hall too. So the others outside, had he dealt with them on his own? He must have. Tengoku would find words as he spoke to him. "The evidence, it's in the room down the hall....we need it..." He would glance to his sister with his one good eye and then the blood running down her leg. Tengoku would take her hand by the wrist and shove it to her thigh pointedly. He wanted her to heal herself obviously. His own wound was as treated as it could be for now. Still there was more to do.

Tengoku would use his new sword to push himself to his feet. using it to stand tall before stepping over to the captured man. He would look him in the eye. He could smell it mixed in with the blood. He was afraid. These people had him at a huge disadvantage. Still Tengoku would reach out and grab the man force-ably by the jaw. Squishing up the mans face as he forced him to look up into Tengoku's eyes. "In a moment my sister is going to pull information out of your mind. We will find out where your boss is and how many more men he has. The more you struggle the more pain you will feel. If you try and break free or fight back in any way, I will tear you apart. Nod if you understand." Tengoku would release the mans jaw and watch with a silver eye filled with a cold fury. The man would stare at him a moment before nodding slowly. At which point he would step to the side to let his sister through. He may have failed at his task as the sensory nin but she would not.

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Masaru Fri Jun 19, 2020 3:16 am

Once Masaru was able to detain the man, Tsukiyo would go to work in an attempt to heal Tengoku. When Tengoku spoke of the evidence they needed being down the hall Masaru would go to grab it, he want going to be much use otherwise. He had no medical training nor was he effective with interrogation, but he did have a keen sight that while maybe unnecessary for finding some paperwork could help him see something he might have otherwise missed. As he made his way down the hallway he could hear Tengoku threaten the man they had captured, though once he entered the room he could only hear muffled sounds and could not make out the words. The room seemed to be an well furnished office, with a fish tank built into one wall. Approaching the desk Masaru would begin rifling through all the papers on the desk, as well as all the draws looking for the evidence they needed. By the time he was done the office looked as though a tornado had been through it, and still he did not find what he was looking for. He was about to give up when something caught his attention from the corner of his eye, a small slit in the wall. After a moments inspection Masaru would find a hidden switch that activated the false wall, revealing the safe behind it. It would only take the man a few minutes of listening as he turned the dial to hear the clicks, and finally open the safe. Inside Masaru would find the evidence Tengoku spoke of, everything was there. Every single criminal encounter, trade, or conversation the man had ever had. With a smile Masaru would return to the twins as Tsukiyo finished her interrogation, "we have the proof we need now. We can make our move and take him down, and make him pay for the trouble he has caused us."

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tsukiyo Shinku Tue Jun 23, 2020 4:00 pm

Tengoku for a while wasn't responsive, the young man lost within his own mind--meeting with a part of him he hadn't known of before. But to his sister--Tsukiyo was worried. But--she wasn't dumb. He was hurt, but nothing he couldn't survive. Once he'd stir her heart skipped, a small bit of joy seeing him wake back up. She would keep focused on her healing, frankly not even hearing him speak of the evidence--luckily, Masaru was listening. But soon enough she'd be snapped out of her focus when he grabbed her wrist and was to the point with a silent 'Heal yourself', drawing a quiet sigh from the silver haired Chuunin as her pinkish-red hues dropped to the ground.

She shut her eyes for a moment before opening them, the emotion drained, and now glossed over--cold. She'd go on to heal her own wound, at least enough to keep her from bleeding out or having any infection, before glancing back to Tengoku. The silver haired wolf was firmly letting the captured attacker know what was coming next. Tsukiyo would push herself up, a small wince from putting weight on the wounded leg, even after she'd healed it. She'd slowly make her way over there, just in time for Tengoku to step out of the way. At this point, Tsukiyo didn't look too good. She looked tired, tonight had been draining physically and emotionally...jaded hues stared down at the one who'd injured Tengoku...she simply stood over him in silence for a moment. Still. Quiet.

She wanted to kill him...she even had a slight shake to her hand, resisting the urge to simply slice his throat.

With a breath Tsukiyo reached up and gripped the man's forehead, shutting her eyes and entering his mind. Within seconds she'd open her eyes, still glossed over with ice and sick of it all, and her hand would drop to her side. She looked as if she was about to step back, and walk away--right as Masaru came back with the evidence...she barely registered what was said. "...His boss is not far, hanging out in the back room of a Casino. Four guards, three civilians at the table...this guy just left there to check on the house." she'd say, voice flat, emotionless.

But to say she lacked emotion would be wrong. Anger was welling up inside her...she just kept it hidden pretty well. At least...until she suddenly sent her knee straight into the restraigned man's jaw, teeth flying in multiple directions--the sound of them hitting the floor could be heard in the silence, before the man began wailing in pain from his broken jaw. With that...Tsukiyo walked past him, and would be the first to slip back out the window, dropping to the ground below. In her anger, she'd nearly forgot her injury. She landed as she normally would, only to crumple to the ground as that leg failed her. She'd sealed the wound, but the damage to her muscle was still there. Tsukiyo grit her teeth as she tried to push herself up. "Fuck..."

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tengoku Tue Jun 23, 2020 5:18 pm

Tengoku would step to the side. Propping himself up against a wall for a moment. He had lost some blood and besides that the wound had been fairly traumatic. That dream...he was lost thinking about it. Like bits and flashes of a vision. He hadn't even realized how much energy had been sapped from him with that little angry light show a moment ago. It felt like he had been dragged into a harsh reality but now he felt like he understood battle a little more. He went to touch his wound and winced on contact. Quickly pulling his hand away. He figured the adrenaline was pumping through him right now. Even as healed as it was he opted to keep his right eye closed. No need to aggrivate it every time he tried to blink. He could see out of it somewhat and it had only just begun healing so he figured he wouldn't spend to long thinking on it. Instead his silver eye shifted to watch his sister coldly walk up to the man. Her leg wasn't bleeding anymore but it looked like it hurt still. She was giving it a little bit of preference over her other leg for the time being.

Masaru on the other hand stood virtually untouched. The man was on a different level than the twins. Stronger by far. He felt like his sensory had flat out failed them. Like they had been ambushed because his abilities were not greater than the enemy he hadn't expected. Masaru had the evidence and was ready to continue. Shortly after that his sister spoke of a location and enemy targets. So this was it. They were going to engage the man himself and likely Masaru would punish him accordingly. Though...his silver eye glanced to the man as he considered that. The man had branded a guy for trying to recruit against a nation Masaru wasn't a part of. This leader, he was likely going to die and badly. Tengoku was mentally preparing himself for that. To not throw up when blood was shed and the target likely killed right then and there. Did he not want that? He wanted the man to pay for his crimes and for what happened here. For the pain to them and the attempts on their life. He was lost in thought until his ears picked up on the solid sound of bone crunching like a rock being broken apart.

Tengoku would look to Tsukiyo alarmed but cover his mouth and wince at the wailing man missing teeth with blood pouring out of his mouth. He was a little shocked to see it but his sister was already walking away. Or limping rather. He would look away from the wailing man before looking to Masaru and then sighing before collecting his own weapons. Speaking quietly. " I am not out of the fight yet...but...if you um...well...we aren't exactly. ....Please take lead sir." With that he heard his sister crumple outside and curse and he was off. Landing next to her far more comfortably and helping her up whether she wanted it or not. Supporting her over his shoulder on her bad side as they marched to the casino. Once there he would push out his sensory once more. His eyes glazing over a little as he did so. "Three of them are your every day muscle. Standing and talking by the bar. Three are just normal people and the one standing next to our target is....stronger. I...I can barely sense our target. However the positions are three meters to the right for the three thugs just inside the door and five meters to the center of the room for the rest. Sis...you got a genjutsu in mind?"

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Masaru Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:59 am

Masaru watched as Tsukiyo knocked the man to the floor before walking away, Tengoku looked as if he might lose his lunch as the blood and teeth splattered across the hallway. The whining of the man seemed to be too much for the boy as he quickly ask Masaru to deal with the man before rushing to join his sister. Masaru would approach the man at a slow walk, he wasn't in a rush but the man's whining was getting annoying. Masaru would form a handseal making another cuff like the one around the man's wrist but wider and covered the man's mouth with it. With the crying now muffled Masaru could finally hear himself think, he formed a hand seal an earthen chair would form next to the chained man. Taking a seat in the chair Masaru would begin to talk,
Explicit Content: NSFW:
Masaru would look at the man with a coldness in his eyes as he spoke, the man stopped screaming in pain and began to scream in fear at the man's words though it did not good with his mouth clamped shut. Masaru would stand from the chair and weave some hand seals causing the chains that bound the man to move across the floor and then the wall until the man was hanging from the wall with just the tips of his toes barely touched the floor. Masaru would then turn to leave the room waving his hand to remove the metal clasp on the man's mouth, ignoring the man's screams for help as left through the window and landed on the ground. The twins were already on their way to the casino, far enough away that they wouldn't be hurt by what he was about to do but still close enough that they would be able to see it if they looked behind them. Masaru would face the house and form a long string of handseals before slamming his foot to the ground, the earth beneath him began to crack. The split in the earth would travel towards the house and underneath it, lava would begin to pool out of the crack until the entire house was sitting upon Lava. As the house would begin to metal and fall apart sinking into the glowing pool of lava, the night sky would begin to lighten as if the sun was rising early. Masaru wouldn't wait for the house to sink fully before walking away, the man chained inside left to die a slow and painful death just as Masaru told him he would.

Masaru would catch up to the twins as they arrived at the Casino, the anger he felt still driving him as he heard Tengoku describe those inside. "No, enough of this they have hurt you both. I will take it from here." Masaru stated as he touched the twins each on a shoulder, "you both have done an amazing job. Far beyond anything you should have had to, if this was Iwa you both would be promoted to Jounin for your services here. I will be putting in a word with your Kage before I leave, because this mission wouldn't be successful if it had not been for both of you. Please return to the camp and check on Amaya for me, I will join as soon as I'm finished." Masaru handed the papers that proved the corruption in their target to Tengoku as he spoke, then without waiting on an answer the man would form a string of handseals before punching the wall. His punch would launch a section of wall across the casino floor, leaving a hole big enough for five men to stand side by side and walk through. "Takeshi Kawakami!" Masaru would tell into the room before the dust had even settled, his voice echoing in the now silent Casino "By order of the Hokage you are under arrest, surrender peaceful or I will put you down by force!" The was silence in the casino, even with his perfect eyesight Masaru could only make out faint shadows in the dust but he couldn't see who was who. Movement in the corner would catch his eye, seeing an arrow coming towards him Masaru would tilt his head so that the arrow would fly past him just barely missing his ear. "Alright then, have it your way." Masaru stated cracking his neck before waving his hand in the direction the arrow had come from, while he may not know who was who he knew a civilian didn't fire that shot.

Hearing the grunt as the man was impaled was all he needed to hear to know the man was now skewered by his Earth Spears, "You were given a choice, you could have surrendered peaceful and lived out your life in a cozy Konoha Cell. Now you will see how criminals are dealt with in Iwagakure, and you will beg for death to take you." With those words Masaru would bolt into the room, the dust now settled more the room would be more in view. Masaru would ignore the couple cowering in fear in the corner, his eyes would fall on five men. Takeshi, the three remaining guards and a man who was being forcefully held in front of Takeshi who looked as though he had wet his pants and was crying. "You are such a coward that you would hide behind this man for protection," Masaru remarked in the closest thing he had ever come to as sarcasm. The man couldn't believe his eyes, he had never seen such a coward before. Masaru would lift his left hand and a steel bow would form in his hand, instantly his right hand would draw the bow causing two arrows to form before launching them at the two that were holding the civilian in front of Takeshi. The arrows would strike them both between the eyes and they would fall to the floor, as soon as the men fell the wet pant man would run away from them crying about how he could have been killed. The big guy that stood next to Takeshi would hold his hands up and step back, Masaru's eyes would fall upon Takeshi. With his last bodyguard abandoning him, there was no one left between them. Masaru would lower his arm and the bow would disappear from his hand as he began to walk towards Takeshi, a sudden smirk and chuckle from Takeshi caused Masaru's hair on the back of his neck stand on end, something was wrong. Masaru would look up to see two large scrolls unravelling above him, just seconds before an onslaught of weapons began to rain down upon him. On instinct Masaru would activate his impervious armor as he was buried beneath a plethora of weaponry, it would work fast but not fast enough and Masaru would Black Out.

NSFW:

When Masaru awoke he would see the dead body of Takeshi, and realize that he had lost control. It was something that had not happened to him in a very long time and was not something he was proud of either. The man had spent a long part of his life controlling that side of himself, and yet in an instant all that work went out the window. The smell of blood was everywhere, and was enough to make a man sick but it would not phase Masaru. The man had spent his life on the battlefield, blood was a smell that you grew accustom to over time. If the twins had left to go back to the camp Masaru would slowly make his way to the site in hopes that Tsukiyo could heal his shoulder. However, it the twins where still there he would apologize to them for witnessing that side of him. "I have not let that side of me out in a very long time, it is not usual for me to lose control like that. I am truly sorry you had to see me like that, I would understand if you think less of me." The man would hang his head in shame, he knew that what he had done was horrendous. By all accounts the twins should take him into custody for what he had done to Takeshi, it was unexceptable.

Masaru would stand up, assuming the twins did not stop him. "I think it will be best if I leave, I won't be coming back to Konoha with you. Me and Amaya need to move on to Iwa, give my regards to the Hokage." With those words Masaru would take off in a flash arriving at the campsite and waking up Amaya before the pair of them would depart head for the Land of Earth.

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tsukiyo Shinku Thu Jun 25, 2020 10:33 pm

The long haired woman was in the process of pushing herself up when she heard Tengoku land beside her. He went to help her up, which she at first tried to refuse the help, but apparently he wasn't having it and she found herself standing with his support regardless of if she wanted the help or not. With that the two of them could make their way to the Casino--although the screams of the man from before could be heard...Tsukiyo glanced back just in time to see Masaru catching up--and the house they'd just left now literally melting into a pool of lava. Masaru did have some interesting abilities, that was sure. They arrived more or less at the same time to the Casino, and Tsukiyo forced herself from the support of Tengoku, limping a bit but more or less standing mostly steady.

Tsukiyo listened to Ten describe those inside, her rolling her shoulder a bit on her hurt side, it a bit sore from having her arm up on Tengoku's shoulder for the walk over here. Tsukiyo was about to respond when Masaru cut them off, her blinking when she found the man's hand fall on her shoulder for a moment as he spoke. He'd tell them to go back to their camp and check on Amaya...before literally punching a large hole in the wall. Tsukiyo would have a small flashback of her punching a door across the room in a mission a while back...but no time for that. An arrow narrowly missed Masaru and would land near the twins, Tsukiyo looking Masaru's way.

"You better come back in one piece!" she growled loudly to the Iwa man, before sighing and looking to her brother. "He'll have it handled...lets go back and see if I can help your eye more--and make that sword permanent for you."She'd say before sneakily swiping the blade made by Masaru from Tengoku, motioning for Tengoku to follow as she walked off towards the direction of their campsite outside of town. She wasn't the fastest, leg still giving her some issues, but she was doing well too ignore the pain. Once back at the campsite, Amaya was still safe and sound, sleeping. Tsukiyo would quietly sit down with her back against a tree and sigh. She took the sword she'd swiped from her brother and would run her fingertip over the wound from earlier, getting some of the blood from it, and placing a dot of blood onto the weapon. She'd form three hand seals in under a second and the blood spread out across the sword, glowing with chakra, before all of it faded away--as if it was never there. With that, she offered it back to her brother...his new blade to carry from now on. At least until they get him something real nice soon enough.

Eventually Masaru returned, and Tsukiyo was quick to stand up when she spotted the blood on his shoulder, her eyes narrowing. "I told you to come back in one piece..." she'd say with some annoyance before her featured softened and she sighed. Forming a string of hand seals she approached the Samurai, and would begin healing his shoulder. It'd close up the wound and stop the pain soon enough, but he wouldn't be left without a reminder of today's battle. Assuming they had nothing more to do here, Tsukiyo would wait for Tengoku and with him, be off back home.

What did you expect from a Traitor? Empty Re: What did you expect from a Traitor?

Post by Tengoku Fri Jun 26, 2020 6:37 pm

Tengoku would not look back as they walked away. For his sister the screaming might be distant and slightly horrifying but his keen ears heard it all. Masaru was a cruel man. Buried in his want for justice so deeply that he would cross lines that Tengoku hadn't even thought to draw. He knew what was happening because Masaru described it so in depth. He felt like he might be sick but for now, now he didn't have the power to stop it. Besides that he wanted the guy dead. Just faster and less tormenting than this. Less of a monster. He would watch the road as they walked and keep his thoughts to himself but he wouldn't look at Masaru again. Tsukiyo had suggested he could learn from this man and he thought she wasn't wrong. But what he had learned was what he needed to avoid becoming. Sometimes it was the heroes in the story that ended up the villians. Some times it was good men driven to do terrible things. Masaru could change the world but Tengoku simply wished he could believe it would be for the better. When they reached the casino and they were told to go back to camp Tengoku was actually relieved.

He didn't want to be there. They were indebted to the man of course but something didn't feel right. Like he had lost control of his moral compass. He was glad to be away from the fighting after a while. At times he questioned if the screaming was something distant he heard or if it was all in his head from before. All he knew was he felt drained. So very tired after the whole mission where nothing seemed to go well. When they got back to camp his sister rested and went to work on the sword but Tengoku felt restless. He found the three wolves sleeping near Amaya though there was the feintest smell of blood nearby. He would follow the scent and after a bit of searching he found a body in the nearby woods. The same mark as the others they fought on his arm. The parts of it that weren't torn up by fangs. He felt some relief wash over him as the wolves had dealt with this guy. Probably expecting to murder a child and finding a pack of apparently really angry wolves instead. He never stood a chance.

When he returned Amaya had healed Masaru and even then Tengoku avoided eye contact with the both of them. His sister didn't seem all that disturbed but Tengoku couldn't help it. Even as they parted ways Tengoku would merely bow his head and leave with his sister. His new sword held on his belt but his hand avoiding it. The man frightened him. His sisters acceptance of such tactics frightened him. The possibility of turning into that frightened him. Put simply he was afraid. Still he couldn't tremble like a child anymore. He would just be relieved that he was going home.
