Chika would swipe his brow as he finished up the touches on his work. He had started all 5 Karakuri at the same time since he couldn't decide which to start with first, and after several hours of work, it was all done, even the weapons. Glad that he was finally done with his work, he'd take them outside and let them go for a test run, attaching the newly made Claws & dusters to his 4 humanoid puppets.
The first he'd test was Loving as that one should be the simplest of the puppets. Attaching some strings he'd feel out the weight differences and slight mechanical differences. Taking it's hands he'd do a small dance around his shop with the puppet, having it's movements follow along to what he assumed a female dancer would. To many having a female puppet of himself probably seemed odd, but it was along the same reasons as to why he made Faithful: he needed a base reference and his sister just happened to work out perfectly, though he'd rather not recall the trouble it took for her to be a model. Honestly just trying to get the chest area right was a pain, and even know as he danced with it he could feel something wasn't attached properly.
Stopping the dance he'd do a quick maintenance and found a wrench he had left in there earlier. How it had ended up there he didn't know, but now it was out and he could try out the combat. bringing Loving to a test dummy he'd have it do a few punches and kicks, then he'd try out the claws & knuckles. so far it seemed to work, but he wouldn't know until actual combat.
Next came Loyal, and while Faithful was his first, Loyal held a special place in his heart. He had been working on Loyal for years, and had been using it as a starting point for his eventual Karakuri line of puppets. before he'd wind up the key to test out it's movement without strings, he'd give it a go-around using chakra strings and saddle up on its back. Did the first start by walking back and forth, to and fro between his house and his workshop. Afterwards he would aim Loyal's head at work the strawman and fire off both a kunai as well as a crossbow bolt. Old projectile song nicely into the straw man, but it wasn't as accurate as he had hoped. He knew that if he wanted to more accurately hit the dummy, you would have to spend a lot more time into aiming, unfortunately he didn't have time for that. Maybe someday in the future he could, but not today. Ending his chakra string technique Chika would wind up a small mechanical key on its butt and have it move around without the need of strings. It was fairly slow, but so long as he wrote it the small petals on its sides allowed him to slowly move around, not having to set his feet upon the ground.
Getting off of Loyal, he'd move onto his...well it wasn't his favorite, but Dutiful was there to honor his contract. In all honesty he had started to have some regrets & into the spider contra mama but being able to get free silk as well as extra...hands when it came to handling his puppets, Chika didn't mind. Creating a translucent springs from his chakra once more heat attach them to the spider puppet and have it move around, making it seem as if it were climbing up walls and making a small web out of its steel wire. Still, it wasn't enough. Having a the puppet retract the steel wire he would have it fire off the fake metal web at the strawman once. Instead of wrapping up the straw man, it instead. The thing and the Chica frowned. He would have to work on that. Recalling the wire he would then maneuver the puppet and have it bite into of the dummy, curious to see how far the fangs would dig into the man. Upon further inspection it wasn't much, but it would be far enough to inject any venom the spider would later have it installed into its body.
Tired of being reminded of some of his benifactors, he'd move on to the final two: Mocking and Uptight. Mocking was admittedly in poor taste, is it look like an Uchiha with a slightly deformed face, that could be easily fixed in due time. (And hopefully Nyg wouldn't be that be pissed off at him as the blueprints up predated his involvement with the Jounin) like the previous two humanoid puppets before it to UniFirst small dance with the puppets, then move it over to the dummy for more testing such as: punching, kicking, firing a bow, slashing with a katana, and then staring at it as if Mocking were a real Uchiha. Thinking to himself he would have to try and find someone with fuinjutsu to install a genjutsu eye into the puppet in order to properly mask that the puppet was not in fact a real Uchiha. Now that he thought about it, what fighting style did the Uchiha use when they fought? The meeting with his boss and co-ninja hadn't occurred yet so he had no idea. Perhaps it was Arhat Fist, or maybe Strong Fist, or maybe some completely unknown a fist based style that would assist in there Dojutsu-based fighting style.
Finally there was Uptight. As much as faithful and loving were based off of him and his sister, Uptight was a special case has he just basted off of a generic Huyga. Heck, looking at it pissed him off but he would need it in case he would have to replace it with another person's face when upgrades came around, such as Ash. He hoped that Ash would be on his team. Still, like the other three before it he would bring the puppets with to the straw man, thoroughly beaten in battered and in need of replacement, and he would mercilessly destroy the dummy with the puppet. Having the puppet to pick up of the shattered remains of the dummy, bring each piece into the workshop so he can repair the training...thing in due time. He would then have a uptight carry each of the unused puppets into his own house and have them set up each of the humanoid puppets at the dinner table, while sitting Loyal near a dog bowl and Deceitful near the cat bowl. Then, have Uptight take an open seat at the table, while Chika himself would take up the head of the table. This was good.
His family was complete, and it was time for dinner.
