Thar She Blows! Empty Thar She Blows!

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Sun Jun 14, 2020 6:38 pm

    Mission Name: Drug Runner
    Mission Rank: A
Theater of War: The Carmine Quarantine Crisis
Relevant Plot NPCs N/A [Unless Requested by Players]
Mission Goal: Protect/Destroy the Care Cargo
Description: The Land of Sea's population is starving and dying of severe illness. They have contracted with a certain organization to provide a Cargo of food, medicine, and other supplies. The Carmine Collective refuses to let this Care package through citing that the situation is far too dangerous. They also accuse the Land of Sea of hiding dangerous weapons and materials that will be used to further their plague weapons project. The Land of Sea has hired a shinobi to protect the ship containing the care package. The Carmine Collective have hired a shinobi to destroy the ship. Victory is declared when either the rescuers or interrogators are incapacitated/defeated.
    Payment: 100,000
Maximum Number of Participants: 2 (1 on each side)

Kitsuki peered through a telescope from the bow of the ship. She scanned the horizon looking for threats as she considered her place on this ship and what it meant for the War between Seas and its neighbors. When Kitsuki had heard that an inhumane and evil blockade had been put in place to starve the people of Seas, she signed up for this mission right away. She didn't believe in smuggling or breaking the law, but extraordinary times called for extraordinary measures. She had heard rumors that the Land of Sea had wrote this mission with unclean hands. She had heard that while their people did in fact need food and medicine, they were also planning to smuggle in dangerous biological agents and chemical solutions so that they could weaponize this new plague.

Kitsuki had asked to inspect the cargo but the ship's captain had categorically refused. That made her uneasy. She didn't like being used. If there was even a 1% chance that the Sea was using this Care Cargo as an oppurtunity to add further instability to the ninja world, she had half a mind to take an evacuation boat and leave. Unfortunately, it wasn't that simple. Regardless of the Land of Sea's machinations there were starving people that needed her help. The Carmine Collective had made it clear that they would make no exceptions for humanitarian aid. Kit sighed. Sometimes you just had to make compromises.

She was about to put away her telescope when she spotted something far off in the distance. Another ship and there was someone on it...

"Here we go" she said with a breath of anticipation.

Seigi hated water, but he especially hated the sea. Vast and endless, it's daunting size was enough to crush any who opposed it. Any other day, Seigi would have rejected this mission, but Shimiko had stressed to him on the importance of enforcing the blockage. With a little bit of nudging, Seigi had begrudgingly accepted the job.
And so, on the deck of Captain Yoru's ship, Seigi prepared himself for the incoming scrap. He had been out at sea for a few days now, in preparation for today, allowing himself to get adjusted to the swaying of the oceans and get his sea legs. He didn't like being away from land, mainly do to his KKG. Not having much sand to work with put him at a disadvantage, but it wasn't something he was really worried about. He had persisted long without it. The ocean sprayed against him, the S-rank Missing-nin taking hold of the railing toward the front of the ship. With his keen eye gazing outward, toward the horizon, Seigi could see their target.

"Accelerate and change bearing 20 degrees!" Seigi would shout to the Captain. This may have been his ship, but Seigi was calling the shots.

The ship roared forward, cutting through the waves, like a knife through butter, the ship's hull holding up under the stress.

The moment she spotted the ship, it barrelled towards her. Kitsuki shouted out her own command: "We've been spotted! Full speed ahead!" Because they were in a smuggler's ship, they were fast but not fast enough to outrun a determined military vessel. If they wanted to safely escape then Kitsuki would need to fight the ninja on board the opposing ship. Kit peered through the telescope and saw a man with white hair giving orders. Kitsuki's cane was propped up against a nearby wall. She grabbed it and down the telescope. Seigi's ship was fast approaching and soon she wouldn't need her telescope to see what was up.

Kitsuki flickered through a set of seals and conjured a massive gust of wind. She aimed the jutsu direct at Seigi's ship hoping to knock them off course and by her own vessel more time. It was just a temporary stalling measure and one used to find out what her enemy was capable of. She had no doubt that if she expected to be victorious, she'd need to put that other vessel out of commission, and of course, any shinobi along with it.

"Brace yourselves!" Seigi roared, in preparation for the blast of wind headed their way. Seigi planted his feet firmly and grasped the railing of the ship, his body bracing against the assault of wind. The men on the ship did their best to brace themselves, only one getting blown off, who was quickly thrown a life jacket. The old boat ached and groaned against the force of the wind, the old steel threatening to grind to a halt, but it did little more than throw them off course, now moving slightly left of their target. The enemy ship was still heading toward them, and picking up speed, but Seigi could use this.

"They're aching for a fight." Seigi would mutter under his breath, weighing his options. "Redirect course! 15 degrees north!" He would yell, putting them on a direct collision course with the smuggler's ship. "Get ready to drop anchor off the port side!" He could command, the ship listening to his words. The two ships were now closing in on each other in a game of chicken. Seigi wouldn't move from the front of the ship, keeping an eye on their prey, forming two handsigns as he inhaled, filling his lungs with a massive burst of air, condensing it. A sphere of wind world begin to form in front of Seigi's lips, threatening to rip loose, but Seigi held it, waiting for it to build it's full amount of chakra, only releasing it once he knew it was ready. The shot was easy, aimed directly at the ship that was charging. He would let loose destruction in the form of wind, aiming for the front of the bow.

Thar She Blows! Empty Re: Thar She Blows!

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Wed Jun 17, 2020 4:00 am

Kitsuki gave a confident nod to herself when her attack hit. The ship was blown slightly off course and she could see that a man had been tossed overboard by its power. It didn't stop them entirely though. Not long after her attack made contact, the ship righted itself and was put on a direct collision course with her own. The man that appeared to be yelling out orders was now conjuring up a technique of his own. Kitsuki braced herself as a sphere of concentrated wind appeared near the man. It was then fired right at her. The ball of wind appeared to be moving faster than her own technique. The water parted as it zoomed towards her at top speed.

"Hold Steady!" she yelled as she prepared to counter it.

Kitsuki began twirling her cane for the Aero-Vortex technique only to realize that the speed and force of the opposing technique would overpower her natural torque. If the attack struck her ship then her crew would be in serious danger of being tossed overboard. She couldn't let that happen.

Zizz...people are depending on me, for the food....for the medicine....now is not the time to hold back!

A voice from inside her responded: ⵔⵉⴳⵀⵜ! ⵍⴻⵜ'ⵙ ⴳo!

Kitsuki took several steps back and then ran forward with all of her might. She jumped off the bow of the ship and at that exact moment unleashed the power of Tenshijutsu. Her eyes glowed a brilliant gold and the strength of her vortex increased by two orders of magnitude. It was enough suction to grab Seigi's Vacuum Great Sphere and hold it in the confines of her cane's wind current. Kitsuki's immense strength allowed her to leap across the distance of water between the two ships and just as she was about to land on Seigi's acrobatically twirled in the air and flung her cane downwards at him, releasing the Wind Sphere right back at him and his crew. If the sphere connected with the ship it'd be of enough force to seriously injure Seigi while totally knocking any and all crew members into the water.

Kitsuki would then land on the enemy ship with so much force that she nearly capsized it. She used the Angelic Return technique to banish her cane into the past: one million years before the advent of shinobi to be specific. The weapon was bathed in gold before flashing away in the blink of an eye. Kit steadied herself and fixed the cuff-links of her uniform James Bond style. The intense rocking of the nearly upturned boat provided a generous spray of seawater. She'd have to take the suit to her tailor once this battle was over.

She'd hold up a hand indicating that she had something to say before the fight continued:

"Normally I wouldn't bother with talking in the middle of a War but there is food and medicine on my ship. I'm talking it to people who are in desperate need. If you have a conscience, you'll let us go peacefully. Just because we're ninja doesn't mean we have to be heartless"

It wasn't a tear-filled plea. It was logical, rational, but hopefully persuasive. Kit didn't like wasting her breath but if there was a 1% chance Seigi would listen then it was a shot worth taking.

Seigi kept careful watch as he let loose his attack, watching as it propelled forward, only to be... captured somehow? Suspicion quickly overtook Seigi, but he was prepared. Waiting for an attack, Seigi didn't anticipate his opponent launching herself over, but it didn't matter, he would enact his plan anyways.
"Now!" Seigi would yell to the navigator. Dropping the anchor off the left side of the ship, it would only take a second for it to catch, causing the ship to jerk quickly to the left. The metal chain for the anchor would grind away at the steel around it, not used to being used as leverage for a turn, but it would hold steady. The crew would flail about the deck, unprepared for the maneuver like Seigi had been. As the ship turned, he knew that wasn't enough to stop his opponent from reaching them, but the maneuver was never about trying to escape. Instead, as the ship turned almost side ways, Seigi would be obscured from Kitsuki's vision for a brief moment, letting the momentum of the ship finally let him go overboard, dipping into the ocean below. As the ship righted itself and was hit by Kitsuki's attack, Seigi was no longer on board.

Beneath the waves, Seigi formed one hand sign for the shadow clone jutsu, a single shadow clone appearing next to him. Once this was finished, Seigi would swim up to the surface, then step against the water to propel himself back into the deck. The boat itself was useless, serving little more than a floating platform. Collecting himself as Kitsuki spoke, Seigi would slick back his wet hair, revealing his lone eye, looking Kitsuki up and down. She was young, and powerful. Seigi needed to be cautious of her.
"While I understand your want to do well, you've ignored the Collective's warning and fired upon one of their ships with zero provocation." Seigi would take a step towards Kitsuki. "Now, I'll be honest with you, I don't really care either way, but you've piqued my interest." Seigi would look against the kunoichi he was pit against, this time with a look of respect in his eye before taking a step forward, beginning his next attack.

Using his speed to his advantage, Seigi would dart near Kitsuki, closing the distance between them, but he didn't attack. He would wait to see how she reacted.

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Thu Jun 18, 2020 12:25 am

The captaining shinobi of the opposing ship had some skill it seemed. The man ordered the boat to anchor giving him the opportunity to briefly duck out. His crew wasn't so lucky. The Wind Sphere collided with the ship and the force of it blew out every single window on board. Much of its internal mechanisms would also be severely damaged due to the sheer force of the impact. It wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon and if it did, it'd probably be at a slower pace. All of the men aboard (many of whom had already lost their balance from the naval maneuver) were flung out off the deck like daises scattered in the wind. She was sure they'd be fine. Presumably all of them could swim and if they were smart they'd have life jackets. If not...Kitsuki didn't want to think about if not but she told herself that in war there had to be casualties. These men were enforcing a blockade against humanitarian aid. If they drowned then she could not be blamed. Could she?

Kit re-focused her attention on Seigi who had just climbed back on the ship. He was soaking wet which meant he had been in a hurry to avoid her attack. This betrayed his weakness in avoiding her attacks when she used Tenshijutsu, a piece of information she'd use for later. She noticed how unconcerned he seemed with his crew. That bothered her but she wasn't sure why. Ultimately, she was his enemy and he her's. It was why when she had reflected his attack she had mainly aimed at him and not the others. He tried to turn the situation around on her but she stood her ground. The young girl gave him a defiant look. He had refused her offer and was more interested in fighting her. It was possible he outclassed her but that didn't excuse her from confronting him. It was a matter of justice.

"You don't care?! YOU DON'T CARE?!" she shouted as the righteous indignation rose in her spirit. She was done negotiating. Hundreds of thousands of people with swollen bellies and he was treating this as any other mission. She didn't regret attacking their vessel first, there was no negotiating with this kind of evil. As he darted towards her, she met him in single combat. Kitsuki snapped into a fighting stance and threw several fast jabs into his chest followed by a powerful roundhouse kick. The form of martial arts she was using was strange, alien in fact. If he was a student of Taijutsu or had the requisite Intelligence he'd notice her movements were totally unlike anything the world had seen before. It was as if Time flew through and around her, increasing her speed and affecting his ability to properly respond to her movements.

She was riled up now, jumping straight into combat. The distance between them wasn't much, and Seigi had anticipated some kind of reaction, making sure to keep his footwork clear and precise, however, he was slightly thrown off by Kitsuki's movements, as something about them didn't seem... natural. As she would begin her attack with a flurry of punches, Seigi would bob and weave, back peddling against her assault, trying to find a weakness in her fighting style. It was unlike anything Seigi had ever seen, and her body movements seemed sped up, somehow augmenting her unnatural fighting ability. It was impressive in more ways than one. Despite her sped up movements, Seigi could still keep up with her, but the distance between their agility was quickly closing. Seigi needed to act fast.
Kitsuki's punches ended, but her attack continued as she shifted, pivoting into a roundhouse kick. Seigi figured he was too close to her to dodge, instead curling his left arm into an upper body block, shifting his body so the kick would connect with his upper bicep. The force of it was powerful, Seigi feeling the wind from the strike before he would feel the kick connect, and the strike itself was nothing to scoff at. Pain immediately filled Seigi's shoulder as it connected, but not enough to hinder him or his movements. Using the momentum of the hit, Seigi back backstep, skillfully landing on the tip of the bow, or what remained of it, landing in a crounching, bow-legged position.

"You really aren't pulling any punches, are you?" Seigi would say, cocking his head slightly, amused by her response. He would rub his arm where she hit him, raising from his crouch. "...Fine."

    He wouldn't either.

Seigi would move again, propelling off the point of the bow with fantastic speed, aiming to return the favor, releasing a single lateral kick aimed at Kitsuki's left arm, specifically, her left elbow.

    ________________________________________________________________

Meanwhile, Seigi's clone would jump out of the water, onto the deck of the opposing ship, drawing a single blade as he landed. Smiling toward the enemy crew, he would straighten himself, eyeing his surroundings and the entrance to the lower deck, instantly walking towards it. "Don't mind me, just checking your cargo." He would say, nonchalantly, keeping his blade at his side and his good eye toward the battle.

Kitsuki's strikes connected. Seigi was tough enough to block them which meant that he too was skilled in hand to hand combat. The Kurahasa snorted in response to his statement. Of course she'd hold nothing back when there were lives on the line. The only reason she hadn't creamed him with the full power of Tenshijutsu was because she didn't want to reveal her true power right away. Seigi snapped into a fighting stance of his own and dashed towards her aiming to connect a powerful lateral kick.

    He's fast!

The man's dash left no room for dodging and his kick was even faster. She couldn't even put up a reasonable block in time. She kicked caused her to lurch to the side and pain radiated through her arm. She shook it to distract herself from the pain and threw up her dukes again. This man was at least a Jounin. The way he moved was nothing she had ever seen before. The kick was more or less a blur and she couldn't tell where it was going to land. The only shinobi she saw with those kinds of reflexes was her Taijutsu instruction back at the WASP, Reisan Tetsudashi. She couldn't unleash Tenshijutsu just yet though. Still ignorant of the Seigi clone boarding her ship, Kitsuki kept her eyes on the mysterious Jounin. She dropped out of her Cherubic Fist style unwilling to expend anymore Grace in order to maintain it. She'd need to fight him using more convention methods if she hoped to best him.

She'd need to be like a mongoose. Stalking and analyzing her prey before unleashing her full power to defeat him. Her hand flashed a brilliant gold and her cane returned to her. She began to twirl it around and take up a new fighting stance.

She raised her cane with one hand and made a come get some gesture with the other. A swirl of wind began to coagulate around her weapon of choice.

Seigi felt his strike connect, not giving Kitsuki the chance to dodge, overtaking her with his speed. She reeled sideways, escaping from the possibility of a follow-up attack. Seigi would land gently where Kitsuki had just been standing, regaining his posture aboard the ruined deck, still feeling the sway of the ocean beneath the ship. He would lower his arms as he landed, his shoulder still a little sore from her own kick. As she spun her cane into existence, Seigi would observe, watching as she twirled it, then shifted into a new stance. Wind spun into action around the cane, piquing Seigi's interest. He didn't see any visible hand signs, but wind techniques were notorious for needing none. Seigi had his own tricks up his sleeve, but decided to leave it be for now.

Instead, Seigi would ease things up a bit, letting out a deep breath. The war may have hardened him, but he still had issue with killing kids.
"What is it with that thing? Is it a medium?" Seigi would ask, very bluntly. He couldn't figure out exactly how it worked, but it seemed as if she could channel chakra easily. He didn't get the disappearing trick either, it didn't look like any jutsu he knew. "Eh, I guess it doesn't really matter." He would say, before she could answer, moving his body once again, sprinting toward Kitsuki in a straight line. However, despite his aggressive approach, he was still playing defense until he knew the limitations of that cane. Until then, he was restricted to close-range combat.
    ____________________________________________________________________________

Entering below the deck, Seigi clone would pick up the pace, quickly finding the supplies in question. The hull was filled with crates of various sizes, all of which containing supplies for the Land of Sea. Taking his blade in hand, Seigi would move through the hull at lightning speed, cutting the tops off of the boxes to make for easier viewing, but as Seigi completed it, was a bit flustered by the mess of broken wood he created below the ship's deck. Stepping over broken wood, Seigi would quickly inspect the crates, moving to and from them, taking but a moment to find something suspicious. He had no doubt that this food was intended for The Land of Rain, but military-grade lab equipment? Testing modules?  This was exactly what they had been looking for.

Kitsuki watched as Seigi dashed towards her. His movements were blurry but she could tell that he was going back on the offensive. He was incredibly fast, faster than she could hope to keep up with at her base speed. She had tapered things down to see what he would do but he seemed content on using his superior reflexes to dodge her. This was rather troubling. Either he was holding back and trying to gas her or he was stalling for something else. The possibility of Genjutsu had crossed her mind but given how quickly and gracefully he moved, she doubted he'd need illusions to beat her in a fair fight. She needed more information and the best way to get that information was to kick it up a notch.

She activated Tenshijutsu and the moment Seigi had entered her cane's reach, she'd loose the Cascading Haze technique. Without warning, a blast of light would erupt from her body. The golden glow would attempt to wash over him and most if not all of the boat up to a twenty-five meter range. If Seigi saw the burst of light, he'd be totally blinded leaving him vulnerable for her next attack. Kitsuki spun her cane for maximum torque and then struck him in three places with all of her strength: his knee, shoulder, and temple. She knew her power was the stuff of legends so she held back just enough to not kill him but if the strikes connected they'd shatter the bones in each area knocking him unconscious.

Seigi fell directly into her trap. He had anticipated some kind of attack, but nothing like a blinding move. His lone eye caught sight of the bright flash, blinding him as he closed the distance between them, but at this range, he was dangerous, even without his sight. Compressed Sand would explode from the gourd on Seigi's hip, expelling itself at breakneck speed to protect it's master. Forming a half-dome around Seigi, it would provide adequate enough protection for him to halt his movements, it's structure failing after a single hit, but allowing Seigi enough time to backstep away from Kitsuki. Forming three handsigns in quick succession as he stepped directly back, dust would be exhumed from his mouth, aimed at where Kitsuki had been, the deck she was standing on, and anything in between.

    ______________________________________________________________________

Clone Seigi would take to the deck of Kitsuki's ship with a crate of lab equipment in tow, dumping it on the deck. The crew would take a step back from the mysterious man who had been ransacking their ship, intimidated by his presence. Seigi would move to the helm, moving behind the navigator, placing his sword to his back.

"Direct us to the other ship." Seigi would say solemnly, not needing to intimidate him to get him to do what he said. "Full speed ahead." Seigi would say, digging the blade slighly under the man's shoulder blade. He would wince in pain, but do what Seigi commanded. The distance between the two ships wasn't much, and it looked like the original him needed some back up.

Thar She Blows! Empty Re: Thar She Blows!

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Tue Jun 30, 2020 12:17 am

After the ray of light, a veritable amount of side burst out to protect him. Kitsuki was shocked at the sudden display of ninjutsu but figured that it was the more powerful aspect of this man's arsenal. As she had expected, he was holding out of her and by using Tenshijutsu she was able to discover his limits. He was a skilled Jounin and his sand ability must have been very strong to have been able to even temporarily halt her advance. Once the sand was knocked away, she steeled herself for a counter-attack by rapidly twirling her cane. As Seigi spewed a generous amount of sand directly at her, she brought her cane forward again. The rapidly spinning windmill collected the particles before they could harm her and trapped it within a centrifugal force. Kitsuki twirled around and swung her cane at Seigi re-directing directing the corrosive storm right back at him with even more force. As she did so, she stomped on the ship's deck with all of her might. The act destabilized the ship and would jeopardize Seigi's footing. His ability to run from such a fast moving and close-quarters counter-attack would be severely hampered. This coupled with his lowered sense of perception would make dodging rather difficult.

Kit would follow this up with a powerful jab to the solar plexus. It was strong enough to knock him out but not to kill him. She had to end this fight soon. She could feel the grace pouring out of her body and in a few moments her ability to sustain Tenshijutsu would be null.

I have to end this fight now! she thought. The girl was still ignorant of the activity that was transpiring on her own ship.

Thar She Blows! Empty Re: Thar She Blows!

Post by Kōshin Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:52 pm

Seigi's sight returned shortly after moving backward, giving him sight to Kitsuki's attack. She had expertly twirled her cane, and somehow turned the dust he had exhumed from his own mouth against him, her cane giving her some kind of mystical power over ninjutsu. It was an enigma to Seigi, but he didn't have time to wonder about that. Instead, he was focused on the now, the moment of battle. It was seconds like these that he savored when it seemed like the odds were against him. But he wasn't out of this just yet. The flash's influence on him was still there, but he didn't need his eyes to perform this technique, he only needed her to stay still.

As Kitsuki's cane spun, collecting the dust from Seigi's attack, the sand below her feet, leftover from Seigi's shield of sand, would shift into a single simple spike, shooting upward from below her, aimed at her torso. He didn't aim to kill her, and if he landed a fatal wound on her, then he would heal it. He had anticipated an attack previously, but not a blinding move. However, after seeing how she moved and how she attacked, Seigi believed he had her figured out. Whether the spike of sand hit her or not, Seigi's backpedal would stop as he would jump upwards into the sky, a risky maneuver, but he was all out of options when it came to avoiding Kitsuki's attack, and it gave a birds eye view of Kitsuki's own ship as it would collide into what was left of Seigi's ship.

The clone Seigi on board Kitsuki's ship was not sitting idly by either. After tossing the navigator to the deck and taking over the helm, Clone Seigi would stick one of his katana into the wheel to make sure the course wasn't misdirected, Seigi more than privy to what kind of men sailors liked to be and the heroes he would cut down if tried. With his other katana drawn, he would form a single hand sign, then he would launch himself from the other ship, aiming for Kitsuki's left side, a single lateral slice towards her torso, just before the two ships would collide. The clone's speed fast enough that an afterimage of Seigi could be seen behind him, like a ghost.

    Then, hell would break loose.

Those who didn't abandon ship before the two ships would collide would be thrown off deck when they did. It would be quick, a collision sounding like thunder as metal would twist and break, Kitsuki's ship failing to cut through the larger ship Seigi had been on, the two ships now one platform of smoke and contorted steel. The Seigi clone would be dispersed, returning it's the chakra to the original, as he would gently land on the tip of the bow of his own ship.

Just as Kitsuki flung the dust back at Seigi, the Jounin formed a spike directly in front of her. The move was designed to halt her forward momentum and it succeeded for the most part. She had loosed the jutsu back at him but she wasn't able to charge forward like planned. Instead, she was forced to side-step it. Even the smallest of actions at such a high speed drained her ability to retain Tenshijutsu.

    Gotta finish this fast!

Seigi had leapt into the air and this would leave him vulnerable for a critical moment. Kitsuki ran around the spike and charged forwards, she jumped into the air after him. Kit's superior strength allowed her to bound off the ship like a rocket. The girl's aim was to collide with Seigi while he was still in the air. The force of the collision would probably knock him unconcious or at the very least seriously injure him. From there, Kit would have them land into the water. It was a risky move on her part to take him into the sea but she guessed that he wasn't a Suiton user given his early techniques and if he was then it would make little difference. Kit's grace was all but used up and she was now just a regular Chuunin fighting someone who appeared to be a Jounin at the very least.

This maneuver would bring her out of the range of clone's attempted attack. It would also distract her from the incoming ship collision. When the two ships finally smashed into each other, Kitsuki would turn her head to look in horror as the constructs rended each other. An explosion went off and the people on her own ship abandoned their cargo.

She might still have time to save the care package but only if she was fortunate enough to take down Seigi with her final attack.

"Shit, I can't block!" Seigi would think as Kitsuki launched herself off the deck at him. Seigi braced himself for the strike, feeling it connect hard with his chest, enough to break the air from his lungs and the ribs around them. Like a bullet, Seigi would slam into the water hard, rolling before sinking underneath the surface of the sea, quickly overtaken by the waves. Once underwater, his movements slowed as he sank lower, feeling the crushing power of the ocean around him, the slow rumble of the waves filling his ears, but the silence of the depths were familiar to Seigi. Wincing in pain, he could feel the chakra in his body warming up his chest as it got to work on his wounds, feeling the shattered bones crunch back into place slowly. His hands shot to his sides as Seigi dealt with the pain, still amazed at that girl's strength. It reminded him of someone he knew.

Slowly, Seigi would swim upward, fighting against the current at his body healed. Climbing upwards out of the sea one more, a single hand would raise from the water, placing itself against the surface, Seigi climbing out of it, his other hand still against his side. Waves crashed around him, threatening to knock him off balance, but he kept his footing true, adjusting to the ever-changing directions of the water movement. He wanted to charge her, to rush her while she wasn't looking, but his ribs prevented moving anything more than a short burst for the moment. He would wince again as a sickening crunch fixed another rib, and Seigi would wipe the blood from his mouth accordingly, spitting the remainder into the sea.

    He hated the ocean.

Got him! Kitsuki thought as she connected hard with Seigi. All of the righteous fury and anger she felt towards him for attacking her ship flowed into her body. Zizz's mediated that raw sense of justice and turned it into an unbreakable resolve. She may not have the power of Grace on her side but she was still Kitsuki. Kitsuki locked her arms and legs around Seigi as they descended into the ocean. She used all of her strength to keep him down in the water unable to rise to the surface. He would essentially be put in a headlock with the her legs wrapped around his waist MMA-style. It was now a question of which of them had better long capacity. Kitsuki was willing to bet that she could outlast him underwater. She was a Kiri-Nin hailing from one of the wealthiest naval merchant families in the world. She had been swimming since before she knew how to walk. When you factored in her impressive physicality, her odds started to look even better. When she collided with him she could tell his structural integrity was nothing to write home about and given how hard she hit him, he'd likely be in deep pain. Kitsuki's legs would keep his arms to his sides preventing the formation of seals and given how she was choking him he'd run out of breather sooner than normal. I can still save the medicine and food! I just need to take him out for good!

If Seigi had hated the ocean before he'd despise it forevermore.

Kitsuki's attack was relentless, the kid dedicated as she was strong, and as she collided with Seigi, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck, their combined weight dragged them deeper into the ocean. The abyss reached out to meet them as the bottomless pit beneath opened up more and more and oddly enough, Seigi felt calm as the overwhelming silence and rumble of the ocean helped him meditate on his next moves, despite the girl's impressive strength crushing his windpipe. He had his fill of fun, it was time to end this.

Without warning, Seigi's own body would quickly become malleable, his head extending outward, like a snake, quickly wrapping around Kitsuki's own neck and back around, Seigi's lone eye peering at Kitsuki's, hoping to catch her by surprise.
Assuming Kitsuki would make eye contact with Seigi, her body would freeze, feeling as if it were restrained by steel, frozen by his chakra-embedded gaze. Using his soft body, he would wriggle from Kitsuki's grasp, releasing her neck as he did, meanwhile gathering chakra in his feet.

    "Sorry about this one, kid."
He would think to himself as he prepared to make his way to the surface, the fires of the ships above them still burning brightly. Seigi would position himself just above Kitsuki, drawing out a massive amount of chakra beneath him before bringing them both downward, into Kitsuki's chest, a massive amount of power exhuming from Seigi's kick. The strength of it would be so intense, it would propel Seigi upward, out of the water like a bullet, while simultaneously pushing Kitsuki lower into the depths beneath them. Seigi would propel upward, back onto the deck of the burning ship, landing on his hands and knees, coughing up seawater as he did.

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Tue Jul 21, 2020 12:58 am

Kitsuki continued to apply pressure to the man's windpipe and suddenly he grew still. She knew that something had to be up. They had only been underwater for a few seconds and he couldn't have passed out that quickly. She knew her own strength and unless this guy was a total eggshell then he had to have been planning something. Kitsuki let out an underwater scream as Seigi turned into some kind of snake monster. It was as if his limbs were turning into jelly. He could stretch them to an inhumane capacity and he used his the ability to lock her into some kind of Genjutsu. She wasn't sure what it was but right after making eye contact, she froze up and was unable to move. The Kurahasa felt her lungs fill with water and she began to drown. She couldn't even cry for help or beg for mercy. The Jounin delivered a punishing Chakra Enhanced Strength to her chest. The attack sent her spiraling to the depths of the sea. If it weren't for her naturally high constitution then she'd have fall unconscious and then she'd be truly screwed.

She could see Seigi rocket towards the surface while she fell deeper into the abyss. She couldn't move, she was in severe pain, and he had probably broken a few of her bones. She couldn't muster enough grace to fight him consistently. It was over. He had completely outclassed her and she had no choice but to surrender. She'd be upset if she wasn't literally paralyzed by the possibility that she was about to die. The corner of her vision became hazy and before she had time to stew on her regret, the blackness was on the verge of swallowing her whole.

Seconds passed, and the girl didn't resurface. Wiping the seawater from his face, he made his way across the destroyed deck, peering into the water below. Remnants of wood and various elements of the ship floated chaotically in the waters around them, but no sign of the girl. He felt his conscious tugging at him, and knew he was about to do something he'd probably regret later on. Taking in a deep breath once more, Seigi would stand on the railing, falling forward into the ocean once again. Placing his feet on the hull of the ship, he would push off with considerably less strength, arching his arms out as he went deeper. It didn't take him long to catch up with the paralyzed girl, Seigi quickly gripping her shirt in his hand, performing three handsigns with his free hand. Using his remaining air in his lungs, he would magnify it, enhancing it with fuuton chakra, producing a steady stream underwater that would quickly propel the two shinobi upward, out of the water. Seigi would land gently, holding Kitsuki as he did so, gently letting her go on the deck, the state of doing so dependant on how conscious she was.

Without much more than glance, Seigi would eye the burning ship Kitsuki had come here on. He had given her this much of a chance at life, he would do no more. He would gather what little remaining sand he had left that clung to the deck, creating a small platform to stand on.

    "Good luck."

The cloud of sand would lift upward, taking Seigi away from the ship and off this accursed ocean.

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:59 am

Kitsuki felt the power of grace flow into her once more. It made her stronger but without the ability to move, that strength was useless. She willed her body to move but it barely budged.

Zizz please....I-I...don't want to die.... she thought. ⵢoⵓ ⵡoⵏⵜ....ⵍooⴽ! Zizz said optimistically as Seigi plunged into the water to rescue her. If necessary, Zizz would have pushed Kit to make it through this ordeal but she beleived that there was some value in letting the girl be rescued by her opponent. It'd do more for Kit's well-being in the long run if she didn't lose faith in her fellow humans. As callous as Seigi's mission was, the man still had a heart and knowing that there were shinobi with empathy would push Kit to see the best in others. Kit was lifted out of the ocean and plopped onto the deck of the shipwreck. She was motionless. The girl's black skin pale with asphyxiation. As Seigi pulled away from the scene using his sand platform, Kit's eyes snapped open. Her pupils were golden and she could feel the Angel's power coursing through her once more. She used the power of Tenshijutsu to place herself in an upright position. She then coughed up seawater as she turned over. Once the water had been expelled from her lungs, she crawled her way across the ship to where she knew the flares were kept. A few lifeboats were floating in the water with men on them. She fired the flare gun into the air so that they could collect her and take her back to the Land of Sea.

Kitsuki would be huddled in a corner of the lifeboat watching the fiery blaze sink into the sea. The food, medicine, and essential supplies going with it. She said nothing to no one and they said nothing to her. She had failed in her mission. Because she couldn't beat this Jounin, many would starve and die. It was too cruel to think about. He had rescued her which showed that he had some type of conscience but not enough of one to abandon his evil mission. Kitsuki sighed and stared at her lap in shame. How was she going to face the people of the Land of Sea now?

    [Mission End]
