Nozomi waited while her travelling party equipped themselves with gear. She of course was the benefactor in terms of payment, but she wanted everyone she traveled with to have any gear that would make them feel more comfortable.
Iseri wasn't much of a weapon user, but she had been an assassin before and had some training that put her on par with Chuunin level opponents, even though she wasn't a shinobi herself. She equipped herself with a fairly decent standard loadout for her skill set, but she wasn't a primary combat type. Traveling with Nozomi, she'd need some fairly light gear so that she could move about stealthily and unencumbered, but still be well defended.
She equipped herself with a set of leather armor for meager protection against the average opponent, knowing that she wouldn't likely be sent into a situation that any of the others thought she couldn't handle. Given enough set up and planning, Iseri could take down even opponents that she likely shouldn't be able to, but at that point, Nozomi, Isobu, or Mako would have been able to complete it much faster and with greater ease. Additionally, she grabbed some weaponry and tools to assist in her fights should she need them, plenty for any situation.
Mako was much simpler than Iseri. He had trained as a samurai, and tended to only initiate in close quarters combat, as well as avoiding cheap tricks and things like that. An honorable combatant, Mako equipped himself with a set of steel armor that was fashioned in the likeness of a set of Samurai armor, and picked up a set of weapons he was familiar with. The blades were nothing like the quality he was used to, but for now they would hold him over. Other than some light pills, that was all he required.
Isobu was perhaps the simplest of them all. Beyond his use of jutsu, he didn't tend to need all that much, so he picked up a simple set of light leather armor and some pills for himself.
When all was said and done, the totals were tallied up and Nozomi presented the payment, and the group was on their way.
