    Mission Name: Thwart Assassination!
    Mission Type: Defense
    Mission Rank: B
Mission Goal: Survive, kill if you must, but leave at least one alive for interrogation.
    Description:
A strong force of Yoru that belongs to the army of fanatics plans to ambush Inarie Yoru-Kaguya because their master demands it. This is the third attempt thus far on her life by these Loyalists, but never have they been so brazen before. For they attack more publicly than small skirmishes in the shadow. Taking place at Kirigakure’s local training grounds, Inarie, Haruko, and Kitsuki agreed to meet for training. However, things quickly escalate when the group of Loyalists attempt to sneak an attack on Inarie, and they won’t hesitate to attack someone else just to get to Inarie.

    Loyalists:
    Payment: ---
    Requirements: Inarie Yoru-Kaguya present.

It was a lovely afternoon even for Kirigakure as the mist that seems to cling onto these waters for years lifted to allow the sun to shine down on the island. Inarie thought it was rather pleasant to say the least. Rushing water from the sea could be heard in the distance as she stood in the small clearing of packed dirt and sported three beaten wooden posts. Inarie was armed to the teeth so to speak as she wears the forehead protector which held Kirigakure's symbol. Around her face is a titanium happuri which basically protects her face.

Inarie also wears a titanium mail shirt which is slimmed to her figure by the leather belt around her waist and on this belt is a baldric which holds her titanium katana. Positioned at her left flank is the standard issued wakizashi. On Inarie’s right side is her hip pouch which contains her other tools. Titanium guards can be seen on both arms and her shins. A pair of lightly armored gloves and sandals can be seen on her as well.

Her beautifully long platinum hair is pulled up into a ponytail with her bangs braided that frames her face. Inarie’s iconic part of her is the piercing rose pink eyes which sweep across the field. A major difference on her part for those that have personally met her. Inarie for once isn’t wearing her metallic blue scales anymore, and frankly Inarie thought it was weird not having them. Yet the Kaguya felt like she should give this appearance a try for a change. Inarie’s left hand casually rests on the hilt of her katana as her mind is focused on her surroundings.

”Hopefully today can go by without any unnecessary surprises.” Inarie mumbled to herself, yet because of the previous two assassination attempts made against her. Inarie has to remain vigilant practically at all costs. Which can be quite draining mentally, and frankly Inarie fears that it won’t stop either.

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by Haruko Kaguya Tue Jul 14, 2020 1:35 pm

Haruko wished to do some training with others, the young woman would get what she desired--although unforeseen circumstances stood to shift a day of simple training into something more. Still, this future was yet to be seen, and Haruko was unsuspecting of such things. Her icy blue hues glanced upwards as the Kaguya-Yuki hybrid made her way into the training grounds, reflecting the blue skies above--a rare sight in Mizu no Kuni--the mist the village got its namesake from had lifted, and left a clear sunny day in its wake. A gentle sigh passed Haruko's lips as she lowered her view--able to see a figure off in the distance near the three beaten logs used for training for years here.

Her outfit was rather simple--the woman's headband was tied loosely around her neck, she'd have on a pure white hoodie--matching her snow like hair--hood pulled up over her hair as she walked. Her bottoms was a simple pair of black shorts, very tight to her form, leaving more or less all of her legs exposed...while offering no protection, she could freely move in them. She'd have under her hoodie a fishnet shirt, with bandages wrapped about her chest replacing the need for a bra...not like she had much in that department anyways. She approached Inarie, a woman who looked armed to the teeth and armor, the difference between their equipment--or Haruko's lack there of--was apparent. Haruko had a mindset of why buy swords and kunai when she can simply make them form of bones. Although some armor could be helpful for the Kaguya-Yuki hybrid.

Haruko would stop a reasonable speaking distance from Inarie and focus her gaze on the woman's rose pink hues, giving Inarie a slight bow as Haruko was a respectful type, and held Inarie in high regards. She'd taken on Haruko's cousin in the Chuunin exams, and demonstrated the abilities of two bloodlines--just like Haruko--but actually had control over both. Haruko had so far only strengthened her Kaguya abilities, and while skillful with her bone manipulation, she still lacked the access to Hyoton. By now it slightly frustrated Haruko, but she'd never show it.

"M-mm...Hello, Inarie-san..." she'd greet the other Kiri nin, her voice timid but clearly an attempt being made to speak clearly...Haruko was working on her confidence, something she needed to get a hand on.

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Sat Jul 18, 2020 1:23 am

Kitsuki was a bit nervous about seeing Inarie again. She still felt guilty for ghosting the girl many months ago. The truth was that Kitsuki had caught a nasty case of the flu on the day of their spar. She had sent Inarie an apology letter but she wasn't sure it would do much good. While the platinum haired kunoichi appeared to be kind, Kit knew that the Kaguya could be rather haughty. She would have to live with the possibility that Inarie would think her a chicken. Fortunately, that was not the case. She had recently received another invitation to train with the girl and so she readily accepted. She had aimed to get there early but as a result of delays she managed to arrive right on time.

Kit was wearing her standard WASP uniform. It consisted of a dark navy women's jacket and matching pantsuit and a white blouse with frills on the cuff and in the center collar. She knitted the top of her collar together with a black bole tie and emerald pendant in the center. She outfit was rounded off with a pair of combat heels and an elegant golden ring on her finger. Kitsuki's hair was styled in its usual manner: a series of bunches tied at the end with golden bands. In her right hand, she gripped a black cane with a golden bulbous head. It was her signature weapon Amicus Curiae still hot off the Stag Emporium's workshop. The rest of her ninja tools (provided courtesy of the Kiri military) were contained in a shinobi pouch strapped to her right thigh.

Kitsuki spied a girl with white hair on the training grounds. Inarie had mentioned that she had invited a "Haruko Kaguya" to train with them. She stood equi-distant to her fellow Kiri Nin and addressed her invitee first.

"Good morning Inarie. Sorry again about our last spar" she didn't elaborate further. She assumed Inarie and received her message about being too sick to fight then. "I'll more than make up for it this time" she said with a smile.

She then turned to the shy Kaguya and displayed an expression of warm.

"Good morning...you must be Haruko" Kit bowed politely in the Kaguya's direction. "My name is Kitsuki Kurahasa nice to meet you"

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by InarieKaguya Sat Jul 18, 2020 3:24 am

One by one the invited duo appeared at the designated location. The first to arrive was Haruko, one that Inarie remembered from the last time they trained. Inarie smiled as her kin approached and bowed. Of course the Azure Lily responded in kind by returning the bow as well.

"Hello to you too, Haruko. Pleasant weather we're having don't you agree?" Inarie was chipping away the iceberg that was between Haruko and herself. Ironic given Haruko's dual bloodlines, but it was Inarie's attempt to strike up a conversation with her. No sooner than that albeit right on time was Kitsuki Kurahasa, and Inarie was glad that Kitsuki showed up this time. It would be a shame if Kitsuki got cold feet for the second time. Nonetheless, Inarie presents the same courtesy to Kitsuki by bowing to her as well.

"You're here, and that's what matters." Inarie simply responded to Kitsuki's apology and waited until after Kitsuki and Haruko exchanged pleasantries and even introductions if needed. Once they're done with that, Inarie speaks up in a sincere tone, yet there's ever a hint of warmth and respect laced with her words that strikes inspiration in their hearts.

"This training session is to help each one of us grow and learn techniques as we go along. If there's anything of the sort that you wish to test and practice with I don't mind. All I ask is lethal force will not be permitted. This is a training session, not a fight to the death. Should-" Inarie shifted between Haruko and Kitsuki. Even if they already knew the rules, Inarie still needed to layout the groundwork. Basically, no lethal blows or attacks that can hospitalize either of them. However, near the end of this speech Inarie immediately stopped as her keen eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar spark.

"GET DOWN!" In a swift motion, Inarie practically glided over the ground as she moved past Kitsuki and Haruko, drawing her bone-like katana from her left bicep in a swift motion as sparks came to life from it. With a simple diagonal slash, a beam of Raiton crackling to life in intense frequencies burst from the nearby vegetation at inhuman speeds as Inarie's crackling sword clashes against the beam. Naturally her strength isn't enough to stop it, but while Inarie was pushed back a good 10 meters out, the beam was trying to pierce through the katana to no avail as the chakra flowing through the bone is tougher than what it can do. The raiton that cloaked her blade couldn't deter the opposing beam either, but the energy was enough to keep the beam from splitting apart so that it wouldn't strike either Kitsuki or Haruko.

At the end of the destructive assault, the ground before Inarie was slightly cracked as wisps of smoke rose from them. At the end of this path was Inarie that still stood on her two feet as the solid black Kaguya bone which normally has some kind of shine to it is now charred as energy continues to crackle over the blade's surface. Her sword hand felt like thousands of tiny needles were endlessly stabbing from her fingertips to the bottom of her palm as Inarie refused to wince from it. Instead there was a fierce glare coming from her as coming out from the bushes and trees in the outskirts of the training grounds were exactly six grotesque men with scales over their misproportioned body. Most of them sported swells over scarred tissue while one of them sported a pair of black horns that was angled forward.

"You people can send an army at me for all I care, but this is between you and I. Leave the others out of this!" Inarie demanded as she switched hands with her bone sword to her right hand and pointed the crackling blade at them. The horned Yoru cackles in a grated, raspy voice as his face seems to shift from sullen to melted candle wax.

"As if. Our Lord bids your sacrifice to join with his blood as one! Our Lord will not be denied, and if we must secure hostages to bring you down then so be it! For Our Lord demands it!" The Yoru spread out his misshapen arms as he tilted his chin up while praising whoever this Lord was. Inarie already knew who it was they served, for on these Yoru's chest at the center is an specific mark of an eye around some scales not of their own. A mark that looks like it's been branded onto them from a red-hot poker.

"Whatever you two do, keep moving and don't let them surround you!" Inarie ushered a warning to her friends as she lowered herself into a peculiar stance. A popular form of the Hunter's Sword style, albeit her stance seems to be more advanced than the basic form. In a blur of motion, Inarie dashed forward as she crosses the  30 meter distance in almost half a second towards the horned Yoru. Who retaliated by producing Raiton that crackles over his right arm and hurls a charged fist at Inarie's path. However, Inarie was no slouch as she swiftly lowered herself while pivoting her body to evade the whistling punch. Simultaneously, with a simple vertical slash of her sword, Inarie's katana delivers a clean slice through the Yoru's right arm at the bicep area. Little resistance was felt from Inarie as her blade was very keen due to the Raiton chakra flowing through it and reinforcing the blade.

Of course, while the pain was registering in Yoru's brain as he was slowly blinking at his severed arm laying on the ground in front of him. Inarie had spun around the stunned Yoru as she was practically in a crouching motion. The tension Inarie used built up force to leap high at the end of her spin. With a twirl of her body, Inarie plants one magnetic foot on a palm tree as leaves rustled from the force. Yet Inarie's eyes were shifting from one Yoru to the next, verifying which Yoru was the next bigger threat. By now, the horned Yoru howled in torment as he collapsed onto his knees and held onto the stomp of his right arm. The others flinch from the howl, and each turned their eyes towards Inarie.

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by Haruko Kaguya Tue Jul 28, 2020 5:08 pm

The young woman would be greeted with a bow in return from Inarie, and followed by what could be best described as small talk, Inarie commenting on the lovely weather. Being fair, it was unusually nice for Kirigakure today. Haruko would give a nod in response, "Mhmm...its...unusually clear." she'd say, at this point her eyes had deviated from meeting Inarie's rose hues, Haruko's iced azure orbs drifting off to look towards whatever direction gave the broadest view of the clear skies and sun overhead. But her attention was quickly brought back to the world around her, it was as if her ear burned at the slightest sound of approaching foosteps--and Haruku would turn to glance back, taking notice of the approaching Kunoichi, Kitsuki.

She'd watch as the two would have an exchange, apparently Kitsuki had ghosted Inarie prior to today, but they seemed quick to put it in the past. This would be Haruko's second time meeting Inarie, the last time they'd been asked, a Mission even, to have a fairly in depth spar. Ultimately the details didn't matter, Haruko lost to Inarie, but hadn't gone down without putting up an admirable fight. But this would be the first time she was meeting Kitsuki, Haruko taking notice of the warm expression on the slightly younger girl's expression as she greeted Haruko. "Mm...its nice to meet you too, Kitsuki-san." she'd respond, although she almost visibly shrunk back a bit. She clearly was timid. She'd been the same with Inarie...and well everyone really.

But she'd turn her attention back to Inarie as she'd address why they was there. Haruko had been briefed before, and understood this coming into the situation. She'd in trying to better herself had been more active when it came to information gathering...before she'd just go where someone pointed--now she'd want to know everything she could before going. Progress at least. This was to be a training session between the three of them, sparring included--but Inarie would never be able to finish her series of thoughts. Haruko's eys widened some as Inarie announced the warning to get down, and the woman was quick to shoot between the duo of Haruko and Kitsuki, a swift movement in order to defend from an incoming attack. Haruko had barely turned around and the sound of lightning crackling burned her ears, iced over oceans of blue lit up with the light emitted from the clash of lightning between Inarie and their sudden aggressors. Her brow would scrunch a bit as anger tried to flood her body, but she forced the emotion back, keeping control over it. Still...to say she wasn't happy would be an understatement.

After it was all said and done Inarie stood among smolders, wisps of smoke rising from random spots about her. After a quick glance over to make sure Inarie was fine, Haruko's eyes now scanned for the enemy. They would make themselves known, her azure hues falling upon six individuals, each of them stranger than the last it seemed--proportions all off, scales covering their body...Haruko recognized these scales as the same ones Inarie used. While the details was clearly lacking, Haruko was quick to pick up the gist of what was going on...and the following exchange would only confirm such suspicions. She'd keep on her toes, these men wasn't here for training--they was here for blood...the one with horns droning on about their god. It sickened Haruko's stomach...her ears would burn with Inarie's warning, a simple nod in response as the Kaguya-Yuki hybrid would focus herself.

Jetting out from Haruko's palm, a sword of bone would form, blade sharpening as well as it could--the Kaguya bone broken and cracked, revealing an under-layer of Yuki Ice mixed within the bone. She'd grasp the handle of the blade and prepared herself for battle, knowing today's training just turned into a life and death situation. It'd seem these people was after Inarie...but now, Haruko and Kitsuki was wrapped up in this too. Anger crossed the young woman's features for a moment, but she was quick to push the feeling back, trying to keep herself calm and focused.

They was out numbered two too one, but Inarie was quick to relieve on of them of their arm, and made sure they wouldn't be much of a threat moving forward. Haruko watched as one of these misshapen men would dart towards her position, before shifting into a flanking maneuver about her position--Haruko keeping track of him as this happened. The eyes locked on Haruko told stories that she was the target, and when the Yoru launched its attach, she was quick to react. A powerful bolt of Lightning, False Darkness, was launched towards Haruko. It'd tear up the ground as she did her best to get out of the way, narrowly escaping before rushing towards the enemy. She'd leap into the air and spin about, the blade of bone she'd made twirling in her palm into a reverse grip as she twisted, the coming horizontal slash meeting the enemy's chest with as much force as she could put behind it. She could tell on contact the blade was to do fine against them and their durability, but her strength was holding her back from doing major damage. The blade did its job but only just, the now wounded man taking a step back and howling in pain, before vigerously attempting to attack Haruko in close combat. The Kaguya/Yuki hybrid spared no wasted movement when it came to defending herself from the attacks, and would search for the opening to let her piece the enemy's neck with her blade--finally finding it and doing so. The howling stopped and all that was left was a gurgling of blood before the sound of a sack of potatoes hitting the ground. Icy hues quickly searched for the next enemy to come after her, or if she needed to aid either of the other two.

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Thu Jul 30, 2020 4:47 pm

Inarie was every bit as polite but firm as you'd expect from a Kaguya. She appeared to accept Kit's apology but she didn't really dwell on it which made the Kurahasa slightly more guilty and also somewhat relieved. Kit returned her bow and turned to greet Haruko who was rather shy. Kit smiled to let the girl know that everything was alright. Inarie quickly took charge of the training session. Kit was okay with that. It was Inarie that had invited them and after her past tardyness she wasn't about to tell the Kaguya-Yoru what to do with her training time. Inarie was in the middle of explaining the details of their training session when she paused. Seconds later, she ordered them to get down and Kit instinctively ducked. As a trained shinobi when someone told you to "get down", you got down.

Kit ducked low and Inarie sprinted to intercept an electrical beam. The attack struck against her bone blade and sparks flew. Kit turned to see the direction the attack had come from. She instantly summoned her cane into her hand and it appeared in a flash of golden light. Kitsuki rose to a standing position directly behind Inarie. The bone blade she had used was black with soot but she appeared to be otherwise unharmed. Kit's eyes searched for the assailants and she was greeted with a gruesome sight. A gang of disfigured strangers hopped out of the bushes to surround them.

The exchange between the two worried Kit. She couldn't understand exactly what was going on but it sounded like they wanted to kill Inarie as a tribute to their God.

    Jashinists? In Kiri?

Inarie's reaction to their sudden re-appearance made her rethink that possibility. The Chuunin knew who these people were and they looked draconic. Kit didn't have time to analyze the situation in-depth as the next thing she knew, her sparring partner was telling her to stay mobile. She didn't need to be told twice. Kit zipped to the nearest dragon-man, she moved at her top speed as he began to twirl her cane like a baton. Her opponent fired off a Fire Jutsu shaped like a Dragon's Head. Kitsuki brought the cane forwards and sucked the flames into its rotation before twirling it around and throwing it right back at her opponent. The was drenched in flame and howled. Kitsuki had aimed a bit off to the side not wanting to totally immolate the man. Another dragon man appeared right beside her and tried to slash her throat with a kunai, Kit artfully stepped back and knocked the weapon out of his hand before jabbing the head of her cane into his throat. Another blow to his temple and he was unconscious. Kitsuki didn't have time to celebrate as yet another enemy confronted her. He wielded a sword and he was faster than the previous two. Kit parried his slashes but before she could go on the offensive, another struck out from behind. She moved out of the way and in doing so placed herself in checkmate. Kitsuki took a deep breath and fired a compressed airball into the incoming sword. The weapon was knocked out of her opponent's hands and from there she was able to knock him out with a super-human punch to the gut. She grabbed his body and flung it into the other sending both men careening.

    Another!

Kit put up her guard and managed to block a meteor-hammer just in time but only after increasing the power of her own cane utilizing Vacuum Sphere. They truly were outnumbered here.

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by InarieKaguya Sun Aug 02, 2020 6:25 pm

Things became clear that the three kunoichi had the upper hand by a long shot. Not only did Inarie have the skill and prowess to challenge the group, but Haruko and Kit were no pushovers either. However things quickly got out of hand Inarie realized as the horned Yoru reached over to grab his severed arm. Then he aligned the missing part to the stump, and with a sigh of relief as steam rolled off from where the arm was severed. Bone, muscle, and even skin tissue reconnect and regenerate with the warm cells in the arm.

Inarie’s eyes narrowed at that sight for it was the same ability she possessed, and as the result she already knew the limitations that ability held. Still the horned Yoru bellowed out a mad laughter.

”You can hide your scales, Primal! But in the end you are still one of us! You cannot deny your destiny, your fate!” The mad man muttering about destiny didn’t really bother Inarie that much. It was the fact that he used her own title, Primal of Dragonkin, as it was something she never told anyone. It bothered her that he knew of it, but the time for thinking wasn’t here. The Yoru that stood next to the horned one strung together the hand seals while the horned man spoke. He opened his mouth as Inarie leapt from her tree away from his chosen direction, and like an arrow or a spear of lightning it propelled from Yoru's lips to slam against the palm tree’s trunk. Leaving a small ring of scorch marks on its wake.

However, the Yoru fired one more spear in quick succession instead of a beam this time. Luckily Inarie is not only quick on her feet, but she’s perceptive of her surroundings as well. Inarie leapt again from the spear’s blast as it sailed past her, but Inarie positioned herself to where the horned Yoru was between her and the man who kept throwing lightning spears at her. The ringleader bared his teeth as he turned to face her and with a quick step. Inarie rapidly closed the short distance between them, and the horned one swats at her in a wide swing of his left arm. Inarie saw what he was doing, Inarie slid low beneath the swipe as she swung her raiton wreathed katana just above his left kneecap.

Inarie also did this to keep her katan positioned between her and the other Yoru who had been firing raiton spears at her. Little did she realise that he still had an extra charge saved up as he released the third spear specifically at the hand which held her katana.

The raiton surged through her left arm as the energy burned into her glove and into her skin. Leaving second burns as her katana was knocked away from her hand. Inarie gasped from the sudden burn sensation as it felt like her entire arm went numb. Anger on a primal level roared out of her lungs as a powerful raiton condensed around her clenched right fist. Inarie lunged as she came up from her crouched position, and to Yoru's credit he raised his arms to protect his face. However the surge of strength was overwhelming as her uppercut broke through his protective arms as they made a sickening crunch of bone as broken bones were sticking out from the wrist and the forearm. That wasn’t all as the surge of electricity violently coursed through his body just before Inarie’s fist slammed under his chin which essentially achieved similar results. An audible shockwave erupts from the impact as raiton licked across Inarie’s skin. Bone crushing as blood flowed from the Yoru’s mouth like a river. The large force from the impact threw Yoru off his feet as blood trailed behind him for many meters, crashing through the top of a tree closer to the beach beyond the training grounds.

As the horned Yoru dropped down to one knee howling in pain once more. Like her skin was peeling from her, metallic blue scales emerged from the deep layers of her skin as skin tissue and blood flowed like a river over her burnt left hand. Leaving not even a scar behind it, and Inarie wove a string of handseals. At the final hand seal, the scales along her arms encroach as muscles were defined and thicker patches of scales cover up to her hands. Talons dark as the night extended past her fingertips for 3 inches as light refracted from her dark blue scales.

”For someone who was sent to take my head, not a single one of you have even scratched the surface of your gift. None of you have the right to say what my fate is, and to hell with your so-called god. Because your god is not going to save you here!” Inarie retorted to the Yoru as an aura of raiton shrouds her form, and her claws spark violently in raiton chakra. Inarie’s insult to their divine being made the second Yoru who was going after Haruko, and even one of the Yoru that Kitsuki knocked out recovering only from the Dragon’s Blood healing them to stop and turn towards Inarie. Their glares of hatred in rebuke to her insults plain on their face before they charged towards her.

In a ferocious way, Inarie intercepted the Yoru that came from Haruko’s position, and he tried to deliver a thunderclap drill hook against her. Inarie spun around him as her raiton field violently electrocuted him which halted his attack, and with a swipe of her chakra coated talons Inarie disemboweled him. His intestines slithering out from the open gashes, yet he couldn’t scream nor make much of a noise before he falls to the ground. The other Yoru’s end came swift as he tried to use Young Lightning to dispel her aura. Which did destabilize the electrical current surrounding Inarie, but she wasn’t standing still while that was going on. Inarie pivoted her body to lean out of the way as she swiped her claws horizontally, and her talons sank into Yoru's misshapen face. The way she dug her claws and using the draconic strength flowing through her body. Inarie not only punctured through his skull, but she also ripped his face clean off like it was a mask. His body also dropped the ground with the exposed muscle tissue and bone planted into the sand.

The horned Yoru finally expressed horror upon viewing Inarie as she tossed the bloodied face of his follower before him.

”This is what your faith has led you. Your dragon is not a god, he’s a psychotic tyrant who uses all of you as pawns for his own gain. He doesn’t give a second glance on whether you walk out of here alive or buried in sand. Every Time he’s sent one of you after me, they go missing.” She wasn’t going to tell them that they were taken in, of course he could speculate, but there wasn’t any confirmation of whether they’re alive or dead. Yet the horned one began to chuckle, not out of mockery, but rather out of madness.

”You’re just like him… He kills any of us that disobeys him, and Our God always gets what he wants.” That certainly smacked Inarie metaphorically as her brow darkened with anger.

”I am nothing like Tyrsas! I do not control people out of fear, nor do I enslave nations either.” Albeit to Haruko and Kitsuki that knowledge might not be known. The horned Yoru cowers in fear as Inarie begins to approach in a leisure pace, albeit the scales still cover her arm and the talons remain present.

”Lies! You’ll just torture me until you get what you want!” The scales appear to retreat into the regular patches that Inarie is often seen, and her fingernails sink back to normal as the dark color fade into healthy colors. Despite him cowering, Inarie knelt as she placed a hand on his misshapen shoulder, and he shivered upon her touch and refused to make eye contact with her. Inarie sighed as she quelled the draconic hatred that seemed to be ever present in the depths of her core.

”I don’t want to torture you unless you leave me no other option. All I ask is that you tell me where I can find Tyrsas.” Her voice held that soothing warmth that is often found in mothers comforting their children. In truth she already knows about the whole ordeal these Loyalists go through. Most of them serve out of fear of their dragon, but some are very loyal to their dragon. However he shook his head in disagreement, and frankly Inarie doesn’t think that physical or mental torture would work on him. Not without breaking him at any rate.

”No one knows where he is! He only comes before the Darastrix Champion, and only the Champion is blessed with Our Lord’s presence.” That was a new term for Inarie as that wasn’t located in the texts, but her father did mention in his notes that there were exceptional Yoru that’s equivalent to a General running an army for their Lord. So, changing her wording, Inarie pressed for more information.

”And where might I find your Darastrix Champion?” The shivering continued for the Yoru, but he finally glanced up at her. In truth, Inarie was beginning to think that he wasn’t going to give an answer as she began to stand back up on her feet. His hand shot up to snatch her wrist, and though he didn’t do anything else his grip was something fierce.

”In the Land of Moon, there’s an old monastery built like a fortress on the central west side. He has claimed that ruin as our new headquarters.” Inarie’s eyes lingered on him in silence before she raised her other hand and softly placed it over his hand.

”Can you tell me the Champion’s name and what he looks like? Any distinguishable marks or signature gear he often carries?” On that he eagerly nods in agreement.

”Yes, yes! His name is Otantis Yoru, and he has dark hair with molten scales on his face! He often carries a odachi that constantly runs red with blood. It poisons our blood and kills the weak!” That was enough for Inarie. They now had a place, a name, and what their target looks like. A sigh escapes from her lips before turning her rose pink eyes over to her friends with a soft smile spreading across her lips.

”I am sorry that my family problems put you in danger. It was never my intention to put any of you or Kirigakure in danger, I just lacked the evidence or leads to get to the heart of this.”

Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko] Empty Re: Primal Dragon's Wrath [Specialty Flashback/Kitsuki-Haruko]

Post by Kitsuki Kurahasa Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:00 pm

Kitsuki fought off the attackers and broke them but they appeared to be healing somehow. The adrenaline was pumping and she had to work extra hard to protect Haruko who had been injured during the course of the battle. Eventually, the strange cultists turned towards Inarie and made a beeline for her. Kit had been so focused on staying alive that she hadn't really heard the exchange between Inarie and the Head Yoru Cultist. A few words were comprehended but it was all nonsense to her. The one thing she could gather was that these were not Jashnists. They worshipped some kind of Dragon God and it had to do with Inarie. Kit was about to intervene when she witnessed her training partner demolish the cultists with ease. The attacks were lethal and their effect would shock even the hardest of ninja.

"Inarie....INARIE!....INARIE STOP!" Kitsuki screamed as she watched as the Kaguya-Yoru rip a man's face off. Kit felt sick and it was all she could do to stop herself from retching up her stomach's contents. Inarie was a graceful and polite woman. To see her fight with such savagery was shocking to say the least. They had been fighting for lives true but even self-defense did not justify such a brutal display. Kit looked away from the carnage and listened. The fight had stopped. Inarie was now talking to the leader and he was giving up what sounded like valuable information. Kit stood off to the side tending to Haruko. She'd need to take the girl to the hospital as she did not appear to look well. Kit busied herself with helping Haruko up. She couldn't look Inarie in the eye. Deciding that there was nothing more for her to do here, Kit would carry Haruko to the infirmary but before she did, she'd tell Inarie: "I'm taking Haruko to the infirmary....please...don't....don't lose yourself. I'm sorry these people attacked you but if you end up as vicious as they do then they've already won" Kit then left Inarie to reflect on her words.
