Back in Action

Gin had taken his mission alone due to Fenrir's unsuspecting absence. Luckily for him he came across no problems on his way to his destination allowing him to come back to the village in one piece. Nice and easy, which was just the way Gin preferred. It was the next day and he wanted something simple to help clear his mind. Something that was a little more risk-free and required little energy. As one of the more senior Chuunin he had the first bid on the mission board for the day. That is, if he ever showed up early enough. Today was one of those days where he was up rather early. He figured he should grab his most preferred mission before anyone else did. It was a simple task, one commonly given out to Chuunin as it required not a whole lot of skill as it took organization and integrity.

"Good morning, folks. I'd like to take the gate sentry task for the day. Also, I wouldn't mind a partner, either. Think you could...you know,
round up another person or two to help with the task. With the Crescent Moon Festival coming around I'm sure traffic will be a bit heavy this weekend." Gin spoke as charismatic as he naturally was. He hoped to be on good terms with most people in the village, which at this point just about anybody he would be group with would know him to some degree. Gin despised being the only sentry due to how the day dragged on. With some company the day will not seem as dreadful.

Mission:

Looking over the mission details, Keitaru gave some thought into a potential partner. Based on the people who had turned in their missions already, there weren't many higher ranking shinobi available, and those that were still had recovery time remaining. It'd probably be best to assign a Genin to this, anyway, since there'd already be one Chuunin on it, and the village wasn't in any state to expect an attack. Glancing over a list of names, he noticed only a few names for inexperienced Genin, but they were already on a task, he knew. It'd probably be overkill, but he'd have to assign Chuunin as aids to Gin. The two Keitaru had in mind would be happy to do it, he figured, since they'd not been on any missions in a while and the village didn't have anything urgent to assign them, nor did it look to.

"I've got two for you. Azumi and Kanna, both Chuunin." Keitaru started, handing back the mission document. He then looked over to a Genin attendant standing by. "Hey, go find Azumi and Kanna. Have them report to the Gates with Gin for guard duty." The startled Genin nodded and ran off to find the two Chuunin, while Keitaru finished up with Gin. "Alright, they'll meet you there. Report back when you've finished."

Gin waited patiently and obediently as the clerk considered his request. With a break in the silence as he lifted his head up from his list he stated there were two available, both female by name and Chuunin. As ordered the Genin to go find those two and have them report to the gates, Gin being ordered to meet them there. "Much obliged. I will return when the shift is complete." Taking the scroll containing the mission details he stored it within his hip pouch. Without much hesitation he turned his back and left the office room in order to leave the complex and make his way to the gates. He his own surprise he was not familiar with any of those names. Perhaps it would be nice to meet some of the new folk.
