Mission Goal: Intercept the Reavers and rescue Simon and River, you are authorized to kill any Reavers you see.
Description: After successfully returning the medical supplies the Serenity’s crew medical nin Simon and his sister River were left in camp, while the rest of the crew made plans for their next heist. Rumor has it that a small cult of extreme Jashinists calling themselves ‘Reavers’ are headed for the camp. There is one B-Class Reaver in the crew's camp, he has all C-Rank stats and access to all C-Rank Taijutsu.

Tamwyn was running for all he was worth at that moment. There was no attempt at being stealthy, no attempt at defensive precautions. He was just running like a mad man trying to get to his target before they disappeared for the rest of his life. Once they had returned the medical supplies to Frost they had sat down with a plan for their next heist. It required a lot of ‘special equipment’ and due to that they had split up into two different groups to make the work easier. Tamwyn had gone with one, and Yenn another. Mostly because they were two of the most combat capable among them and it made sense to give each group a ‘hitter’ so to speak. Simon and River however had stayed behind. Simon to organize his medical bay, a worthy task given that organization and familiarity could be a key to saving the life of a patient. River had stayed behind because she stuck to Simon like glue. He was all she had left and despite her craziness she knew that, instinctively.

While they were out however, they had gotten word of an extremist Jashinist Cult heading toward a ‘camp out over yonder’. Of course with such vague information everyone was moderately concerned and Tamwyn had gone on ahead to ensure Simon and Rivers safety. The other group, the one with Yenn in it had been contacted and told as well. So he expected she was on her way to the camp too. The pale haired man was moving at his best speed, Lightning Release Armor active, but his group was much farther out than Yenns had been. It was still possible, even with that speed, that he wouldn’t beat her there. He just hoped everyone was alive when he got there.

Splitting up was always the worst idea ever. She hadn’t seen it play out in a way that didn’t get someone into trouble so far, and Yenn doubted that would ever happen. She had believed for quite some time that working alone was the best way to handle things, but after spending as much time as she did with Tamwyn she now believed differently. So it was with much silent protestation, and some audible, that she relented and split from him to guard the second group of crew. She was a little fuzzy on the details of the Serenity’s latest ‘crime’ scheme, but they seemed excited about it. And of course while they were out her team received word that Simon and River, who had stayed behind for some reason, were most likely in trouble. There were rumours of an extremist cell of Jashinists calling themselves ‘Reavers’ heading in the direction of the crew’s camp.

Without a second thought Yenn would take off, they weren’t too far from the camp and she couldn’t risk anything happening to the doctor and his little sister. Activating her Cloud Cloak she raced back to the camp and arrived just in time to see a large and horribly mutilated man towering over Simon and River. With a burst of confidence fueled by the need to save the siblings, Yenn would barrel towards the Reaver, physically knocking him aside and drawing his attention to her. “You’re an ugly one aren’t you?” She shouted at the Reaver, trying to goad him into fighting her instead of the defenseless pair that had been his intended targets. Turning her head to yell at Simon and River she got the words “Run you i-” out before the Reaver decided that he was successfully goaded and leapt at her, knocking the wind out of her and making speaking just a tiny bit impossible. They were more or less evenly matched, though the Reaver was stronger, either through madness or training and in the struggle Yenn found herself on the ground beneath him desperately trying to keep him from chewing through her throat. In all the grappling Yenn had a few moments to analyze the Reavers injuries and was horrified to realize that they looked self-inflicted, intricate and hasty wounds were drawn across his flesh and even his teeth were filed to vicious looking points.

Tamwyn arrived to see a strange man struggling on the ground with Yenn. The man appeared to have wounds that were self inflicted and he was trying his hardest to rip out her throat with his teeth. Tamwyn of course made an immediate decision. Moving quickly, he’d come up to the struggling pair and touch the Reaver. The touch would come with a massive neural shock that would overload the system and shut down all the man’s senses all at once. Now he couldn’t see, hear, smell, taste, or even feel. Then Tamwyn would shove him off Yenn, politely reach down with one hand to help her up from the ground, as he raised the other and utilized Electromagnetic Murder to electrocute the senseless man and killing him immediately. His other arm would move to snake around Yenn’s waist possessively for a moment, a tight but quick hug before he went to ensure that Simon and River weren’t dead.

Upon finding them alive and well he would nod and study the form of the Reaver. He had mutilated himself and his teeth were filed down to sharpened points, he was scarred in places and the angles of the cuts confirmed his observations earlier of self mutilation. Nodding he would lift the dead form up and remove it from the camp. When the others arrived he showed them the corpse and let Yenn do the part about explaining her own fight with the man. Given that Tamwyn hadn’t actually fought against the man’s savagery and strength as she had. Once that was done, Tamwyn would begin to clean up camp, or at least help and luckily everyone had remembered to obtain their supplies for the next heist, shiny.

Yenn was pretty sure that she was going to get chomped and she probably would have eventually had Tamwyn not arrived when he did to save her. One second she was fighting off the Reaver and the next minute the monster had been relieved of all his senses and was pushed off of her. She would smile up at Tamwyn adoringly and whisper into his ear as he drew her close. “My hero.” Giving him a quick kiss on the cheek she would let him check on Simon and River while she distanced herself from the gruesome body on the ground. She was not in the mood to continue studying the corpse and she would busy herself with examining a small area at the edge of the camp while Tamwyn disposed of it. She had seen enough of it in her wrestling match to not need a closer look.

Once the rest of the crew got back to camp she explained the situation as best she could, trying to will her face to not turn any deeper shade of green as she did so. The Reaver had been unusually strong and hadn’t reacted to pain like she would expect someone to. At least not someone in their right mind. So either they were crazy, or drugged, or both. Any way you looked at it this was a new development that didn’t bode well for the future of unguarded camps. But with everyone more or less fine they would set about preparing for their next heist.
