Clean the Hounds:

Shin found himself, once again, at the kennels. Instead of having to feed them this time around, the mission had detailed that he would need to clean the hounds. How they get so dirty, Shin would attribute to their animalistic instincts and found it both endearing – not that he’d admit it – and frustrating. Not having had a dog of his own, always having watched them from afar and his most personal encounter with them being when had fed them on one of his first few days in the village, Shin was eager to see them once more. Feeding them had been easy and he knew that today would be infinitely more difficult than the last time around.

The kennel owner had already let the dogs out of their shelter and in their outdoor enclosure. Upon first glance, he wondered where exactly they went to get as dirty as they were. For a total of eight dogs that needed to be cleaned up, Shin knew it would take longer than he initially suspected. With a sigh, he made his way towards the outdoor kennel, the barking getting enormously louder the closer he got to them. It was a familiar sound he heard the first time he was here and it seemed the dogs were much more busy chasing each other around than to learn about their fate in just a few minutes.

Amber orbs took in the various dogs that were about in the compound that needed to be cleaned. While certainly not the easiest of these missions they had chosen to undertake, it would be the more enjoyable of the one’s they had done thus far. In comparison to working the fields and cleaning the streets, the abundance of energy radiating off the canines was impossible for someone to ignore. As Shin would enter the enclosure and shut the gate behind, making sure no dog could make an escape, Shin would return Katsumi’s greeting with a slight wave of his own before looking back towards the dogs. Three were an easy task, not bothered by the indication that a bath would be incoming, though the remaining five seemed more antsy about it than anything. Rolling up his own sleeves, Shin would approach one of the antsy dogs and crouch down to eye level with them. With his palm facing out, a treat in hand, he waited for the dog to come forward as Shin would use the treat to lure the dog toward the bath, and hopefully make the process a lot less painful. It took a bit longer than Shin anticipated, but eventually he was able to coax one of the five canines that was dreading a bath into taking a bath. A lot of the work was done with a wet cloth as the running water was something the canine did not like, but eventually a bath was completed. This process would continue with the remaining dogs, with Shin attempting to coax the other dogs to take a bath. Eventually, the mission would be completed with all eight dogs having been bathed.
