Hiding in the Snow: Studying Without Prying Eyes Empty Hiding in the Snow: Studying Without Prying Eyes

    Training these jutsu for 1550 WC | 4 B Ranks | 3 A Ranks:
The ink would splatter as the massive bird would dispel and a masked man would plummet into the snow with a snow leopard landing at his side. Wasting no time the two would move deeper into the forest to find shelter the masked man's body was obscured by a white cloak that made his travel a little more subtle for now. The two would travel a few hours, covering their tracks despite the steady snowfall as the looked for a secluded area to begin the days training. They'd eventually settle into a massive burrow after a few hours of searching. the cloaked figure studying scrolls while Kentaro dug into the remains of a few bears. It was his first warm meal in weeks. The entrance to the tunnel was sealed by an appropriately sized amount of snow with a simple sealing tag on it. The snow parted for the masked-nin like curtains, maintaining its integrity as as he came and went. The other four tags were each between one and two kilometers away off of the four cardinal directions by 10-20 degrees clockwise. The seals were tucked into tree hollows, not the best hiding spots, but this location wasn't incredibly important to the man. It was important enough though that each of the seals were trapped. There place was out of the way, so anyone who went to the effort of the seals was just being rude, and would be met with a doppelganger created by the jutsu: Mirrored Sudden Attacker Technique

Standing up with his scroll, the ninja went through some basics. He'd take a leaf from a nearby tree focusing on it as he began his inner monologue, 'but without first determining the affinity of the student, it is possible you'll fail to determine whether or not they are even compatible with any jutsu you may teach them. Let alone a jutsu as complicated as this one.' He'd pour a near palpable amount of chakra into it before it'd crumple between two fingers revealing its answer. Lightning. He'd intuited as much as it was the only nature transformation he'd ever had any luck with, but it was better to confirm these things. With that he'd move onto the next step without missing a beat, Shape Transformation. Like a thick hide over his skin, the masked man would repeatedly visualize chakra rising from his pores than coalescing, forming a thick layer over his body. He'd slow his breathing as he attempted to increase his focus. Slowly over the course of the next few days the ninja would get the shape down, and within the week the transformation of the chakra inside and outside of his body into Raiton would be mastered as well.

The masked nin would activate his new jutsu and begin fighting the shadow of HerOni, a ninja Nagi had met sometime back. This version of the boy was wielding something, but he couldn't quite make it out. The boy's shadow would rush in faster than the ninja could react, and as he received an open palm strike the ninja would go flying back into the cavern wall barely given a moment as the shapeless weapon made a wide swipe that was barely dodged by the masked nin, cutting through the wall so cleanly it didn't even leave a mark. After a few minutes, the Kumo-nin began to get a feel of the weapon his opponent was using, its length, sharpness, speed, and the tides slowly began to shift. In the next few minutes, HerOni went from actively attacking to defending almost exclusively. The tables turned entirely when the older nin sent the oni back with a palm strike before closing the distance with an axe kick that'd shake the ground. Satisfied with his mastery, he'd notice the snow leopard looking at him confused, another fresh kill in his mouth, as he wondered who the ninja had been fighting, and how he'd gotten so injured.

As Naganori and Kenny wandered the Alpine Forest, the two captured and fought a few low ranked missing-nin who made the mistake of stumbling in their path. While it was fair to think that they were safe here in the Land of Snow, away from prying eyes as it is, their mistake inevitably came from attempting to fight the Kumo-nin instead of gauging the difference in strength between themselves and the leopard and simply retreating. the masked nin would simply look at the large cat baffled that someone would willingly fight a force they knew they couldn't overcome. The cat would simply look back at him pleased, as he licked his chops making sure that no tasty morsels were lost. One of the lower ranked missing-nin didn't make this mistake, surrendering once she was pounced on by the beast. As the large paw pushed down on the ex-konoha-nin holding her in place, the her captor would squat and peel the mask from her face to get a better look at the woman's face. It would take a few moment's of speeding through his Bingo Book, but he'd eventually come across her entry: Magane Senju, D-Rank missing-nin.

"You seem to be quite far from home Magane-chan,"
the masked ninja would stand now as he spoke, "Let's have a few words then, hmm?" A swift kick would shake the rogue ninja's brain just enough to knock her unconscious. Kenny would look at her frustrated. "Don't look at me like that." Naganori would lift the unconscious woman onto Kenny's back. After a few moments of tying precautionary restraints with a liberal amount of rope. The barefoot ninja and the beast would head back to their hide out taking their time and eliminating their foot prints as they did so.

Hiding in the Snow: Studying Without Prying Eyes Empty Re: Hiding in the Snow: Studying Without Prying Eyes

Magane was at the table with her fiance as they talked about their missions the previous day same as always. The table was set, food releasing heat and steam filled the room with pungent aroma, and blood pooled across the floor beneath the table. Her chair as it always did plunged into the deep red before she appeared back in Konoha's streets. A sealing specialist by trade, she'd been reading some of the few fuuinjutsu scroll that she had access to. She was preparing to leave with as much knowledge as she could. This war was too much for her.

A few days later she was traveling the forest leaving seals behind to distract her pursuers was difficult to say the least, but was the only way she'd made it through those days. Checking out those scrolls had been a worth while investment. As she moved from small village to small village gathering information she heard rumors of a strange village of non-ninja swordsmen, the death of the Mizukage, and some small battles that'd been happening around the country. She kept moving though. She couldn't afford to stay too long in a single place. The Black Ops would surely find her, and when was sure not to be forgiving of her betrayal. "Who is Nyguyen Uchiha?" It was a weird thought that'd crossed her mind at the time, but the obvious answer was that he was the Hokage. He and a few other powerful ninja were in charge of an execution at the moment of my escape. The timing couldn't have been better.

A little while longer passed, and now Magane found herself in the Land of Bear. She'd considered stopping in the Konoha owned country of Earth, but this territory had, rumor had it, been taken over by some kumo nin. It would prove the safer option, and if the rumors were true the presence of Kumo so close would be an excellent cover to make her way to the shores. Traveling through the land of bears, it would become apparent to her that her assumption was not quite correct. It seemed that there was someone who'd made a deal with the local ninja village, but there was no proof that there were any Kumo ninja in the area. She'd considered possibly staying here, but since there were no ninja that she could definitively align herself with that seemed like it'd be out of the question. She wasn't a swordsman so the nearest, strongest neutral land, Iron, was also a no go. Not to mention, if there was a summit that's where it'd be held. The rest of her memories involved very little of merit or relevance so they were being skimmed with rapid speed. Wait, skimmed? What a weird thought.

Naganori would remove his hand from the unconscious woman's head. He had gotten all he needed from her. He looked over to the accumulating pile of bones in the corner. Truly it would be a shame to kill someone with such great people skills, but he had to keep his footprint as small as possible. Suspended in chain with IVs coming out of her arms and small pools of blood on the bandages covering her eyes and ears, Magane hung from the ceiling with little life in her. Three days Naganori had kept her here sedated rifling through her memories as he'd done the rest Kenny's meals before. He'd whisper an apology on deaf ears before looking at Kenny and clicking his teeth.

The bones of the dozen or so missing nin that Naganori had captured would be found littered all over the Land of Snow. The cause of death would be obvious. They were all mauled and eaten by snow leopards. A fate not uncommon or at all surprising for those who wandered where they shouldn't in these frigid lands. With a flick of his wrist, Naganori would summon a scroll and paint a giant owl. It was time to go to the Land of Iron.

[Attempting to stealthily travel by air to NW Earth, then on a Snow Leopard to Iron. Land of Snow -> 1/2 Aisu Bay [12 hours] -> Land of Earth (The Commonwealth) [B-Speed Mount | 24 -12 hours] -> Land of Iron. 24 hour travel time.]
