To the fields

Mission:

"Come on, we're supposed to be there before sunset." Ren would state with a sight playfulness in his voice that he had only shown Kanara, he knew she wasn't any more a fan of the sunlight than he was but a mission was a mission and he wasn't giving her a choice in the matter. It was nearly sunset as it was, and would be dark soon anyway. He wasn't doing it for the money or to be kind, he was doing it so that the village took notice of him and assign him better solo missions then walking a damn dog. The only reason he was even allowed on this mission was because of Kanara doing him the favor of requesting him on the mission with her, after he told her to do so,  a favor he would repay in kind after the mission as a thank you. He wasn't complaining about being on the mission with Kanara though, as it gave him more time to spend with her outside of the bedroom. Their date last night was a start, but today with the mission he would get to see a different side of her, and that was something he was looking forward too.

As they walked to the farm Ren would wrap his arm around Kanara's waist, even though she was much faster than him he wouldn't let her get away from him, as she was likely to go back to her bed to hide from the sunlight rather than to the mission. Ren wasn't stronger than her in any way, but they had begun to form a small bond over the past two days, one that said she allowed him to hold her only because she wanted him to. As they neared the farm they would see Mr. Asano waiting outside to get them, "Cutting it kinda close aren't we?" The old man stated in a scruffy as well as annoyed tone, "Well we're here now, the thieves aren't so we're still on time." Ren would snap back before Kanara would have a chance to respond to the old timer, who would proceed to huff and start to say something but Ren would stop listening to the man.

Finally removing his arm from around Kanara, Ren would walk away from the man, heading towards the farm's field as he activated his Sharingan as his eyes scanned the field. He wouldn't be paying attention to what Kanara would be doing, whether she followed him or went her own direction or was talking to the man, because at that moment he was focused on the field in front of him as he moved through it. Particularly looking towards the edges of the man's field, where it was possible for such thieves to get on the property as well as quickly get away unseen. With the sun fully set, Ren would patrol around the perimeter of the farm, as the hours passed he would occasionally pass Kanara as she did what she was doing. Stopping to chat with her and making sure there was no sign of trouble, a few times he would tease her by whispering in her ear about how he would thank her for bringing him on the mission, while other times he would tickle her trying his best not to be bored that no thief had shown up yet.

Six hours into the mission, something would finally catch the man's eye as he patrolled the perimeter. Five men coming through the fence on the northern side of the farm, not knowing where Kanara was and not wanting to alert the thieves to his own presence, Ren would move towards them quickly but quietly. As he got closer, Ren would see more on the other side of the fence, as well as further down the fence line. He knew he couldn't handle them all himself, but there was only one way he could alert Kanara from where he was now and to do it he had to be careful as he didn't want to damage the crops. Waiting until those closest to him to turn away from him he would dart out hitting two of them in the head before forming a quick string of hand seals before jumping into the air, Ren would launch his great fireball technique out towards the ones on the other side of the fence. The fireball was large and bright, lighting up the night sky around him. He was sure to alert Kanara with it, and with him sending it so far out it would cut off the thieves escape and Ren wouldn't have to worry about damage to the old man's harvest from his flames.

Landing back on his feet Ren would quickly pull out two Kunai, holding them in a reverse grip. Considering his jutsu usually caused fire it would be to dangerous for the crops for him to use most of them being so close to the field, he had to rely on his hand to hand skills and hope they were good enough to deal with as many as he could. He trusted Kanara with his life, so he knew that he was not in the fight alone, the woman no doubt already working her way through bandits, he couldn't let her show him up. Ren would stab one Kunai into one of their legs, using the other to block a knife that his buddy used to try to cut him. Pulling his blade from the first man he would kick him backwards as he brought his Kunai through the second ones throat, throwing his second Kunai at another man before grabbing another from his holster. Ren would start cutting through as many of the bandits as he could, hearing the sound of combat further down and knowing Kanara was there working her way through as well.

As they fought Kanara and Ren would eventually meet back up, as they moved to finish off the rest of the bandits. He wasn't sure how many bandits he actually took down but with how fast Kanara was, he knew she had taken out more. As the final four went to run away, practically breaking through the fence as they ran away from the pair, Ren would form a string of handseals activating his burning Halo technique. Using the spinning blade to cut them down before dismissing it, looking at Kanara with a smile, Ren would walk over and kiss her. "That was fun," he would say as they broke the kiss, wrapping his arm around her waist again as they went to tell the old man that the job was done and take their leave.

{Exit Thread}

"Urgh..." Kanara would give out as she heard Ren call out to her that it was time to go. Having rested on top of her couch with a blanket and Ren underneath it, getting out of the warmth and comfort it was giving her. Opening her eyes slightly, she would look at himm and give out in a rather disappointed tone: "Is it time already? I dont wanna...". However Ren and her sense of responsebility were stronger, both physicaly as well as mentaly, and when Ren finally threw up the blanket, she finally stood up and dressed herself up propperly. After all, they had work to do. The mission? Protecting a farm from raiders and bandits. Appearently they had caused problems.

Wondering how much crops needed to be stolen in order to prove a serious problem to the extend one asked Konohagakure's military to intervene, she would finally be ready adn walk her way there, being held by Ren, closely and snuggly in der arms. He seemed to know her well. Normally she would have used her speed in order to get there first, or maybe even went back and took a nap to wait until the very last second to push through the village and finally back to the mission area. Once the two had arrived, she would chuckle slightly as she heard the banter between Ren and their employer before she chimed in: "Dont worry. We could be 15 minutes too late and we would still get them."

With that, Ren would finally release her and wander off to do his part. Looking behind him with a hint of concern on his face, she would finally shrug and perform a handseal supponing a few shadow clones. Nodding towards each other a universal agreement already in their mind, they dispersed, with the real Kanara going after the one place and true shinobi loved, that being the roof of the farmers house, eyeing the surroundings and Ren from afar. After all, why work hard, when one could simply work smart and have clones do their works and rather watch then walk? Regardless of that, she would be able to react at a moments notice if she wanted, and so the crops and her lover would be safe.

It was around 6 hours into their mission that one of her clones reportet a contact. Looking over in an almost lazy way, she would spot the enemies just as well. Thinking about intervening for a few seconds, she would finally decide against it, seeing how Ren clearly had spotted them just as well and was already making his way over. When she saw him use a fireball however, she swiftly went onto her feet and rushed over as she wondered why he used a fireball. Clearly it must have been  a sign of there being more enemies then he anticipated or needing help, otherwise he had just allerted the ones he was creeping after.

The bandits on the other hand, seeing how their way of exit had been closed off, tured towards Ren, which proved to be a big mistake as they werent able to propperly perceive the speed demon approach them from the side, taking out two with clear strikes to their heads, knocking them out and having a strength that almost certainly would have broken Kanara's hands if she hadnt worn her gloves. But she had. As such the bandits were in for a bad time between the two uchihas and their might. Sure enough it wouldnt take long until the enemies were knocked out fully or killed except for 4 remaining ones, who found their demise at one of the technqiues that looked rather impressing. Watching him do so, she would look back at Ren ans asked him if he was fine, even if she could see that he was unharmed, a question which he simply answered with a kiss.

After that the only thing left to do was to walk over to the employer and state that the mission was complete, and that they would be sending a cleanup team of the city soon enough. After all, it had time till the sun came out again. Planning on pacing back towards the village with Ren, holding hands they would state their success and the request for the cleaners on the farm, before heading back home, the goal for Kanara was to pass out on her couch once more.
