Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ayame Thu Dec 01, 2022 2:39 am

Ayame had heard that a Genin had claimed leadership of the clan, something she didn't know was something that could be done. This was someone she didn't know, and having been around for the war and all of that stuff, she wasn't certain she wanted to be beholden to people that didn't at least earn it. Especially since apparently none of the clan members decided to challenge his claim as the leader, at least someone had to.

Having issued a challenge to the claim for clan leadership, all she had to do was wait. If Taco wanted to defend his new leadership claim, he'd show up and fight her for it, and if he didn't show up, then Ayame would, for some reason, be the next leader. Although there was still hope that the Jounin of the clan would see some amount of sense and actually come through so she didn't have to.

It wasn't really a secret that Ayame wasn't particularly a fighter, but given the last few leaderships of the clan, the Senju had certainly been in a state of decline lately, but it wasn't like they wouldn't grow back to their full potential. As a leader though, Ayame wouldn't mind being the one to try and do that.

Ayame's hair was tied back into a ponytail, the white hair just being kept out of her face in case it came to a fight, which was something she'd learned through training was important. Her outfit was just a simple black sleeveless shirt and a pair of black combat pants and boots, but as usual, she didn't actually use any ninja tools.

Pacing back and forth, all she could do was wait.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Taco Senju Fri Dec 02, 2022 8:05 pm

It hasn't been a long time since taco became the senju leader, and there was a lot of paperwork to work through for the senju district and a lot more accounting paperwork. And he wasn't very good at this type of stuff. He has spent a few days after his last training session with ren and the others, which was a long day peragus was a strong opponent. It was fruitful. The spar against him was superb, and it gave taco some ideas to improve his taijutsu and what he needed to work on. It was a shame he didn't manage to do much in that fight, but it was okay because none of that mattered to him at this moment in time. He is working on all the paperwork he has been working on for days, and then suddenly, he receives a message that someone in the clan is unhappy with him. He was told that they were unhappy with him being a low-ranking ninja and the clan's leader; why this now? I'm far too busy to be dealing with anything like this. He was also asked to meet with the elders about this matter. After the messenger closed the doors and left the office, taco sighed heavily and plopped his head down on his desk with a loud thud, " ugh, this is going to be pointless; I can handle it without their opinions ."

Taco stood up from his desk and headed toward the elder's building across this small monk-like temple, the senju leader's office. It was weird. He has met them many times, yet he could never agree with them. In his opinion, the senju elders are the reason the clan is turning for the worst times it is going to see, but he dared not say this out loud. Because if he did, it would not turn out very well for himself or the clan; a few minutes pass as he arrives at their doorstep, and before he knocks on the door, he takes a big deep breath and then knocks on the door. He let himself in, slowly walked forward, and quietly greeted the elders for a few minutes. They talked about the issue, and he understood what they wanted him to do. He left the elder's room, and he called a messenger to get tell them to inform Miss. Ayame that he will meet her at her estate, and he watched the messenger go about the way. He went back to his office to collect himself for a few seconds. " I hope she is friendly or at least pretty ."

After saying that, he decided to start heading toward the home of the clan's member Ayame; he was going fast because the day had already dragged on long enough; she had been waiting for his arrival. He hoped the messenger could deliver the message to her in time before he arrived at her home. It did not take long for him to arrive at her house. As he was getting closer, he started to get a little bit more nervous about the situation, so he decided to stop before getting to the door and take a few breaths, and tried to calm himself as he started to walk forward slowly, trying to get his composure back as he stepped walked up to the front door and knocked on very calmly but with enough force to make sure he was heard he waited a few seconds and then said: " miss Ayame this is taco would you mind if I took a second of your day I hope my message arrived earlier ."

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ayame Sun Dec 11, 2022 9:11 pm

Receiving a hawk that directed her back to her house, Ayame frowned. The whole point was to do this challenge publicly, not fight at her house. Taking in the message, Ayame wrote on the same piece of paper, two more words, followed by her initials.

    'Town Square, AS'

She wasn't moving, having already walked out here. Someone funnier than her might joke about her being rooted in the area, but she wasn't going to be the one to do so. Giving the message back to the hawk, she sent it back to Taco, and continued waiting as she had before.

It was kind of funny though. They were half playing tag at this point, using a hawk to communicate where to go.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Taco Senju Tue Dec 20, 2022 3:18 pm

While taco waited for a response from miss Ayame, he stood in front of the door but heard a bird coming towards him. When he turned around to face it, he extended his left arm in front of him, allowing the bird to land on it. He grabbed the note attached to the bird's leg as he thanked the bird and sent it on its way; he opened the letter and read what he was suspecting anyways that she was not at her estate. He sighed in annoyance.' obviously, she wouldn't be here. It was a public complaint. She challenged me publicly. Why would I come here? I'm so stupid and tired; I need to get this over with. '

From what he read, he saw she was indeed in the senju district center, so he started heading toward the district's center. As he went along, he picked his pace up, lightly jogging to where she was. Before getting there, he decided to experiment to test her skills, but he had to wait a second until he got closer to the location. As he got closer to the area, he bent down on one leg and did two shirt hand signs, the bird and the ox, and then he concentrated and placed his hand on the floor. When he did so, the water rose from the ground as it did. He proceeded to do the tiger hand sign when he did; he started kneading his chakra into a water clone. As he did, he saw the clone form out of the water. He had made it when the clone was complete; he ran atop a building overlooking the town square close enough that if focused, anything could be heard from up there. After he did so, he made the clone move into the town square to find the elders upon her and briefed him on the appearance of miss Ayame. So once he saw her, he made the clone walk closer to her but still stand about three meters away from her and say " hello, I'm taco senju. I'm here to discuss the natter kiss ayame about the complaint. Would you like to discuss it in a more private area or discuss it here while we stand? I'm here to listen to your complaints in person. Could we make this quick, miss Ayame? I have a lot more paper works to finish by tonight, and trust me, it's a lot ?"

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ayame Sat Dec 31, 2022 1:20 pm

It wasn't much longer before the challenged appeared. He didn't seem to want to actually be here either. Was it nerves, or did he just not think she was worth the time? Either way, it didn't really matter. Fact was, they both wanted this to be as brief as possible.

"Yeah, we can make this quick. My complaints are easy to address. I'm challenging you for the clan leadership. Everyone's here who needs to be, so let's do it. If you can't beat me in a fight, you shouldn't be in charge. I'll even let you throw the first shot, unless you want me to."

Ayame did a quick stretch, and went towards the center of the square. It would be the best place to start the match. She began mentally going through some of the hand seals she'd been trying to memorize for some higher level jutsu. After all, if she was going to be the clan leader, it might benefit her to have some higher power stuff than she was used to using. If Taco was like her and could regenerate, then none of her techniques would really do any damage to him, at least not enough to keep him down.

She wondered if he had access to wood release like she did though. Likely not, most of the clan knew who did and didn't. It was apparently something highly sought after, even in the clan. Most of the leaders to date had been users of Wood Release and got their leadership based on that merit alone. She had been set up to be the next leader before, since Ashitaka had died but hadn't wanted to take the spot while she was a genin. He was just kind of forcing her to step up because the Elders hadn't denied his claim for whatever reason.

It was likely that they didn't necessarily want to lead the clan, and figured this would be a good push for Ayame to actually hurry up and take it, but she didn't like her hand being forced like this. Fighting wasn't really her thing.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Taco Senju Fri Jan 06, 2023 7:38 pm

Taco crouched on top of the building, ensuring he was out of sight of others and could still listen to Miss Ayame speak and have a good eye on her. This left him unable to see his clone, which mattered nothing to him. As he was finishing, he started to hear Ayame speak; this made him stop moving instantly. He began to watch her closely in case she did attack. Hearing her speak, a few words struck a chord within him. ‘I’ll even let you throw the first punch’. Taco kept still gazing over them until glancing down at his clone. Standing up and taking a stance on the strong fist style, Taco rolled his shoulders to loosen his body up before bending down and lifting himself into the air.

Jumping into the air, he immediately raised his left leg, keeping it close and tight, while his right leg aimed down at Ayame’s face. As he got closer, he released his clone jutsu, which dispersed, falling into a smooth puddle of water. Hoping to catch Ayame off guard, this attack would hit her faster than his regular (C++). If this were to strike, Taco would use the momentum of the impact to jump off of her and land in front of her, smirking. “ I think I just did .” As he moved back a bit and put his hands up again.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ayame Sun Jan 08, 2023 1:34 am

Sneak attacks by a ninja were to be expected. The fact that Taco had prepared one wasn't really surprising. It was more the way he went about utilizing it that surprised Ayame.  He'd made a few mistakes that a more experienced shinobi might not have. Because he had engaged her on the ground with a clone, making sure he was out of sight, he should have used that to position himself in a way that she couldn't see him when he launched himself up in the air. Going for a frontal assault was probably not the best way to utilize a sneak attack.

They had some distance between them as well, since he'd kept himself up on the roof of a building and she'd remained near the center of the town square, a few yards away from the clone, but around 25 meters from the actual Taco. And because he'd stood up before jumping, and then bent down, she'd already noticed the trick in advance before he even leapt towards her. That was an amateur move that she might have made a couple of years ago, but she'd learned a little bit since then.

Either way, first shot was thrown. Ayame hadn't said she wouldn't counter it though. Since she was already aware of his location even before the jump and the clone wasn't a worry as he dismissed it (the mistake that was perhaps the final nail in the coffin), Ayame only had but do one thing.

He came down launching towards her, but Ayame was a tad bit faster than even his boosted speed. She side stepped, already forming the seals of a jutsu, the Tree Bind Flourishing Burial, finishing the final one as Taco's foot hit the ground a little behind where she'd been only a mere moment before. The distance between them would be maybe only a meter, but as Taco's foot touched the ground, several roots would lash up around his legs and body, binding him with high speed and strength (A tier).

With his level of perception, it was unlikely that he could even really see what had happened before he was wrapped up in a tree, unable to move or form handsigns, nor make use of any types of fighting stances and only his head remaining free. The tree was perfectly in the middle of the Town Square too, a beautiful new addition to the compound.

Turning to face the challenged clan leader, Ayame offered a smile. Maintaining her hold on the jutsu, she had him more or less at her mercy.

    "Do you yield?"

Ayame was not a strong fighter. Her punching force was about as average as any normal person's. Her speed and perception were about average for a Jounin, which was impressive considering she wasn't one. What made her stand out from the others was her Wood Release, large chakra reserves, regeneration.... and the ability to use high level jutsu.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ren Sun Jan 08, 2023 7:47 pm

News about a fight among the tree people would reach Ren's ears and bring a smile to his face, it seemed someone had challenged Taco to a fight for leadership of their clan. This would cause Ren to drop everything he was doing and head straight toward the Senju clan district to see this fight, even activating body flicker allowing him to move at B-Rank Speed to get there faster. He would even knock some people over on his straight-line dash towards the Senju clan district, not stopping to apologize or help the people he had knocked down as he wanted to get there to his destination to watch the fight. Afterall, Taco was his good friend and if anyone was going to beat Taco in a fight, Ren wanted to be there to cheer the person on.

His dark blue Haori would flap in the wind behind him as he ran towards the clan district, coming to a skidding stop just in front of the entrance to the Senju Clan district. He would activate his three tomoe Sharingan as he entered the clan district as he realized Taco had never seen him without the Sharingan so why change that now. Thanks to the announcement of the challenge, he knew exactly where to go and headed straight for the center of the clan district so that he could watch the fight. Ren would arrive seeing Taco talking with someone he didn't know but could only assume was the one that challenged him, a small form of a female with her white hair pulled back into a ponytail. His Sharingan taking a second glance at Taco, Ren realized that it wasn't Taco at all but a water clone. Scanning around the area he knew Taco was nearby due to his clone, it was then that he heard the woman say she would let Taco throw the first punch. Just out of the corner of his eye he would see Taco stand on the rooftop of a nearby building, and as he launched himself forward Ren would catch all the movement of both individuals with his Sharingan and he would let out a small sigh. He had been hoping that he would at least be able to root for the other person, but it seemed as though the fight was going to be over before it even started. Of course, this was typical of Taco, he was so rash and jumped into things without thinking just like on their missions, he was more concerned with being a showoff than he was with thinking of a plan to actually win the fight.

There were so many things that could have been done differently, of course that would have required for Taco to have actually planned, which Ren knew wasn't his strong suit. If it had been him, he would have used the clone to attack her rather than dismissing it, but that was one of the differences between them. Despite the fact that it seemed the fight would be over, Ren would stick around just to see what Taco would do.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Taco Senju Wed Jan 11, 2023 10:31 pm

As taco rushed through the air with his leg extended outwards because of dynamic entry, he moved at speed he was not accustomed to. His eyes could not keep up with anything other than what he was looking at, which was Ayame. As he got closer, he felt off, like something was not right, but he ignored it. He was about to be in the middle of a fight. He had to focus, and he knew this fight would not be easy for him to win against her, even if he had a slight chance. Taco locked in, and as he got closer to his target, she suddenly vanished the second he made contact with her, or so he thought for a few seconds before he saw her in a different spot.

Taco instantly tried to stop his momentum but knew he couldn't stop it by just landing. He would fall on his face leaving him wide open from landing. Without being prepared as he passed her, he twisted his body mid-air to face the floor and dug his hands into the floor. As he did, he bent his knees as his legs touched the ground to make a complete stop, but when he did, he felt something latch onto him, but as soon as he thought it, he could not move. Taco was looking at the floor while this was happening. He took a deep breath in as he slowly looked up at Ayame. He noticed that he was roughly a meter away. He seemed closer to being an accurate meter away from miss Ayame his arms were extended outwards towards her on the floor, and the rest of him was ready to run at her but sadly, he could do nothing to her.

He watches as she turns towards him and asks if he has yielded. Taco smiled at her. " I see, so you have wood jutsu. That's something those pesky elders forgot about, fine; I know how this will go well if you don't mind humoring me for a bit. I hope you don't mind a small chat ." as he spoke, he started to turn into water. As he finished the sentence, he was utterly a puddle after the last drop landed ok the ground near Ayame. He then turned back to normal " well, hi, my name is taco. I yield, miss Ayame. I am smart enough to know when I can't win, so on to the chat. It's about the elders ."  he was a meter away from her with his hands up in the air. He made sure he was near the puddle the clone had created, still as he looked at her with a smile. " oh, and for good measure, ill repeat this for everyone to hear I, TACO SURRENDER TO AYAME SENJU. SHE HAS BESTED ME ."

Post by Ayame Wed Jan 25, 2023 2:39 pm

Oh, he gave up. That worked too. Ayame's jutsu had been successful, and it captured him. Smiling, she relinquished her hold on the Mokuton technique that captured him, and he slipped out into a puddle of water near him, resurfacing and letting it be publicly known that she had won. There were chuckles of approval and silent shakes of their heads as the match was quite a bit shorter than anyone had expected.

    "Oh, cool, very good."

She dropped her serious facade, no longer worrying about fighting.

"So, a chat about the Elders? What about them?"

She knew that the elders were basically useless when it came to running the clan. They often liked to pass off responsibilities and just keep the power they had already from what she could tell.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Ren Wed Jan 25, 2023 8:32 pm

Ren would let out a loud groan hearing Taco surrender after using the hiding in water technique to escape the technique, not knowing he was only able to do so because Ayame had released her hold with the tree she had grown out of nowhere. He wished he could do things like that, but not even his sharingan could process how she had done such a feat. It was obvious an ability that the Senju possessed, but still the thought of being able to do such was impressive to him, and it was his goal to one day be able to perform jutsu that could rival such feats. "Come on, Taco. You can't seriously be giving up so easily, I expected more out of a Taijutsu expert like you say you are." Ren would remark with a snide smile, once it was clear that the fight was not going to continue. "This is what happens when you jump into a situation without thinking things through and coming up with an actual plan. Did you expect her to just stand there and wait to be kicked after you revealed yourself on the roof? You should have used the clone to distract her while you made the attack, then at least there would have been the chance that she didn't see you or at the very least you could have attack from outside of her eyesight." Ren would continue, telling taco about all the mistakes he made and how he could have done better before looking to Ayame.

"I don't know you, but congratulations. My name is Ren, a friend of sorts of Taco's. Also, that tree thing was pretty cool I wish the fight would have lasted longer so I could have seen what you could actually do." As he said the part about the fight lasting longer, his Sharingan eyes would look to Taco with mild disappointment. Why he was so foolish with his approach to the fight as well as the reason he surrendered so easily escaped the Uchiha, but he had to assume there was some kind of reason for it.

Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco Empty Re: Clan Challenge: Ayame vs Taco

Post by Taco Senju Mon Feb 06, 2023 5:34 am

As taco listened to Ayame, he watched her demeanor change from a serious look to a more relaxed and easygoing look as she just relaxed and let the binding that surrounded taco. As he stood there, taco felt like he had given up too fast, but he could not do much against someone who had wood. She could stop his every move, and with his mishap, he had lost all chances of winning. Taco notices someone very familiar in the crowd. It wasn't hard to spit anyways since he was probably the only Uchiha around, and he made it known with his bright red eyes it was ten, his dear friend and rival. Taco smiled awkwardly toward him as he looked at him as. Ayame asked taco what he meant about the elders. " well, miss. Ayame, the elders have been on edge lately. They have been in a rush for the last few weeks since I've been a leader. It was strange how I was accepted so quickly and why so much work was thrown at me. They wanted someone to take charge of the clan, and I think they get impatient waiting for you to take fill in the role of leader. They had spoken with me before this and informed me of your capabilities, but I chose to ignore those old fools, so as a warning, be careful around them. They might be plotting something for you when you inform them of your victory. I have lost fair and square, but I promise you I will one day return for this title. On that day, I promise to give you a better battle ." as taco spoke, he was starting to feel a slight rush of sorrow. This had been the first time he had lost so immensely. As he finished his statement, he began to walk off as ten would be something to him. He ignored it as he did not know if he could face his friend. "I'm sorry, friend. We should catch up another time. I don't believe today is a good day." taco patted rens shoulder as he passed him, then raised his hand when he was a bit further " oh, and miss ayame, please take care of the clan. I can promise you that you won't have much paperwork to complete. I've been busy these past few days. "
Taco let out a slight chuckle as he walked away. Little did they know he was battling his inner demons.

Taco would run off so quickly, Ren couldn't be sure if it was out of shame or if it was something else, but with the other tree folk leaving he would take his leave as well. Making his way back towards the Uchiha district to get some food and rest, his mind would begin to wander. The fight had been so quick that he really did not observe much of either of their abilities, he would have to make a point to try and come across them again later down the road. Perhaps that woman would provide him with a challenge.

    exit thread.
