It bears a red hamon along the blade, taking on the appearance of multiple jagged lines. Aside from that, the weapon is adorned with gold with the handle being wrapped in the finest of manta-ray skins. The scabbard matches the sword's adornments, made out of very hard material that nobody can seem to figure out what it is. The composition may be otherworldly. Appearing in a blinding radiance at her time of need, the wielder Ichika had entered into an accord with the Sword of Justice, Muramasa, to be the sword's scabbard in exchange for being able to wield the blade's awesome power. Being stained by the blood of many Jashinists and those she considers 'evil-doers', the weapon gained a form of sentience and the ability to speak directly to her. The blade, Muramasa, first spoke it's name when used to murder the Jashinists that attempted to sacrifice her to open the Gates of Paradise to enter the Promised Lands. Due to Muramasa's intervention, her life was saved and thus became the avatar of justice and fairness. Due to Muramasa's sentience, Ichika is required to get permission from the weapon in order to dispatch opponents. With the blade's blessing, Ichika will carry out the weapon's will and spill the blood of those that would spread injustice throughout the land; even if it's form of justice is skewed and perverted from what people would normally call justice. The blade has an affect on Ichika that separation from the blade would cause intense mental and physical pain similar to withdrawal symptoms as the weapon must be on her person at all times. | |||||
