The Frozen Scalpel

Yunolesca with shake her head, almost instinctively as to clear her mind. Her eyes would be locked on to Sero, in awe and admiration. It's been a few months since Sero had picked her up. She had been learning human ways of doing things, humans being two legs. However, that was not on her mind. Sero would get to the point of bringing up Aoi and Yuno, both being watchers. Her crystal like blue eyes would move side to side, reading Sero, taking in his scent. Her head cocked a bit as Khulan was chuff, moving her head into Yuno and glancing up to Sero. It took a moment for Khulan to warm up to Sero, but she did.

The two would nod to each other after they took a brief moment, to look at another in understandment. Yuno would grab the chafe of the tigers neck and swing her leg around the tiger, mounting her successfully. Looking to Aoi, her head would move to the opposite side of the group. "My. Area." She spoke firmly. Then Sero's scent and presence would disappear, her body becoming less tense and more relaxed, her feet firmly jabbing the tiger to begin moving with the group.

Esdeath scoffed at the plan knowing if they had to survive against Sero it was a fools errand. She leaned over to Itsuki eying the two animal people to either side of them.

"I don't care what he says do not stray far from me." Her words were low and to Itsuki alone.

She walked over to the Uzumaki and Eyed the young woman up and down. She had to protect her? Why? Again she felt this was a fools errand and scoffed again. She stood there waiting, she was not the perimeter patrol and would not be the one making the first move.

Itsuki saw Sero one second and he was gone the next after giving them the expected formation. Right after he vanished, the sensors split up and took opposite sides and Esdeath came up to her to whisper to her. Itsuki kept her words in mind, staying in the back but closer to the other two, letting the two that seemed not much more than animals do their job. She stayed on the lookout, knowing it wouldn't do much, but unsure how much she could trust the others and their abilities. Itsuki knew the best chance she had was to stick close to Esdeath, and that's exactly what she planned to do.

Aoi didn't understand the man's training methods but maybe there was a reason? He saw sero flash off. Yuno "claimed" her area, but with an attitude the fox didn't agree with. Afterwords he watched esdeath whisper something to itsuki and she slightly changed formation to stay with the group. They weren't a team. There was no trust outside of the pairs that already knew each other, and didn't understand how this would ever work. He knew esdeath would break formation if something happened to Itsuki, it would only be natural, but it would also possibly mean failure. He couldn't fault her though, as he would do the same when it came to Winfrey. This wasn't a team, at least not yet, and it was too early for this type of test as there was no trust and no caring for anyone new, from anyone.

Aoi felt a if it was a failure waiting to happen, but maybe that was seros point. Either way, the team needed to know each other, not be thrown into a death trap. He took his place in formation, circling the group opposite the obviously more feral girl, keeping his ears open for movement but never talking his eyes off his friend.

Winfrey freezes for a moment at Seros words. She was his target and she had to rely on a group of people she didn't know much less trust to get her across the training grounds. Esdeath leaned in to Itsuki and Itsuki hovered just a little closer to Esdeath giving the impression that if something happens I they would protect each other over anything else. Yuno has an almost feral feel to her but Winfrey got the impression that Yuno was more likely to help than Esdeath or Itsuki. Looking back at her friend and the only person here that Winfrey knew she felt calmer knowing Aoi would protect her from anything just like she would protect Aoi.taking a deep breath she nods to Aoi signaling that she was ready.

Sero would watch from where he stood observing them from afar. Blending into the shadows as they seemed to only partially respond to his instructions. No sense of urgency about them. No atmosphere to provoke them to move. They were simply moving forward at a slow pace while only one of them really broke away to hunt him. Not too far but he had expected that of the Kaguya under his wing. She followed instructions to the best of her ability. Still his purple eyes would watch them as he took removed his hands from his pockets. The shadows whispered as the fog picked up. He would start by provoking a sense of urgency from them. He had not excelled to much at protection or escort missions himself. However assault missions were his specialty. The first jutsu he would use was a simple one he would modify to avoid them but by a mere five meters. However their surroundings were about to be drastically changed. Rapidly he would form the hand seals in succession. Dog, Bird, Hare, Dragon, Rat, Tiger then Tiger->Rabbit->Dog and adding on snake on the end to amplify the jutsu. A bone orb emerging from his hand before he lifted it to the sky and released it. 

The orb would expand overhead as it cast a shadow over the ground between them. Like a small bone boulder about the size of a man. It would rise before bursting. The sudden environment around them would alter as spears of bone would fall scattered around them. Tearing through the forest and sending up cascades of water and filling the air with crashing sounds. Tree's falling nearby as the area around them turned to a warzone. For 75 meters around them the earth was being torn asunder by these bone spears everywhere. Leaving only a path forward. He had said he wouldn't use above C rank jutsu against them but not that he wouldn't use them at all. The world was being torn apart and he suspected that would prompt them to move. However Sero was not done. He would walk through the falling mass of spears. Creating a wall of white around them that his water like body could move through while they would have a more difficult time. The next part would be an attack against them. Less potent by far but something they should be able to handle. 

Next Sero would form hand seals individually with each hand. Dragon, Dog, Snake, Rat, Rabbit would be formed simultaneously with his left and right before he would form each into half triangles. Aiming one half triangle at Winfrey from just inside the ten meter line. five meters of spears concealing him as he touched the ground with both palms. From the five meter line the ground would shudder before bursting as two five meter long serpents would emerge. Covered in lines of foot long blades the bone serpents would rattle before splitting off and going for two different opponents. Moving at C rank speed as they targeted Itsuki and Winfrey. Aiming to wrap around them and cause small stabs along their person. Constricting with blades was nasty business. But at this level not lethal.
