Mystery of the Mugen-Jo Halloween Event

In the dark of night over Menzagakure, a mysterious floating castle looms over the land, and it's shadow has begun to reach over the rest of shinobi world. Since it's summoning a week ago the island nation has desperately reached out to the other major villages to assist in the removal of the castle as their leader Menza seemingly has abandoned them to their fate. SHIRA was the first to respond, sending in two of it's agents to assess the situation, the Father-Daughter Duo Tōshirō & Asuka Mochizuki. While they have set up a base camp within Menzagakure, they still need more shinobi to assist, as SHIRA can only send so many people to help.

Its believed that the castle was summoned by remnants of The Society, the same people who caused the Heavenly Emporium to fall several years prior through the use of the Indira Kujira. Your goal is to work with the Mochizuki duo & other shinobi to explore the Castle and look for a way to end whatever is keeping the castle from being unsummoned. However, participants should beware, as the castle is infamous for it's powerful illusions, considered to be even stronger then the Kurama Clan's & Sharingan genjutsu combined.


The Mugen-jō is a Holiday Theater of War that will last for the majority of October and early November. It will pit shinobi against the rumored infinite floors of the Dusk Castle as they attempt to solve the source of the Castle, fighting shinobi & illusions along the way. During this time Players will be able to travel to and from their home village to Menzagakure for no travel time, the Menzagakure & Mugen Base Camp Subforms will be considered neutral zones where shinobi can convene and talk to one another in peace as enforced IC by the SHIRA Organization due to the danger the Castle poses and OOC by staff.

Inside the Mugen Castle Subform, players can PvP to their hearts content. Due to the nature of the castle the interior has a powerful variant of the False Surrounding Technique on par with Izanami in that the surrounding terrain can become just about anything if combat occurs. OOC If the loser wishes when they lose, they may have their character be an illusion created by the castle itself, forgoing the memories of the fight in return for keeping their gear/KKGs/life and the XP gained from posting.

Finally, every time the Hunt for the Tags mission is completed, the character will receive 1 Mugen credit, of which will be used for rewards at the end of the event. Additional Event Missions may reward more points.

Mission Goal: Remove the Tag
Description: One of summoning tags has be located by a scouting team, but is guarded by a strong foe! Take them out and remove that tag!
Payment: 50,000 Ryo, 2 Mugen Credits (Half payment for loser)
Requirements: Completed Hunt for the Tags 3 times
Limitations: Minimum 2 PC characters for PvP

Mission Name: The Final Tag
Mission Type: Combat
Mission Rank: A
Mission Goal: Remove the Final Tag
Description: The final tag has been located, however it is being guarded by the ghost of the Dusk Princess Katsumi. Defeat her and remove the final tag!
Payment: 100,000 Ryo, 3 Mugen Credits
Requirements: Completed Remove the Tag! at least 1 time
Limitations: PC(s) vs Mod controlled NPC; non-repeatable

Outside of what people will be able to buy with Mugen Credits, The character with the most credits will receive special rewards.

NOTE: A player, not character, may only qualify for 1 of these ranked rewards

In the event of a tie, a final free-for-all fight between the tied participants will occur following the Mugen Castle rules above at half chakra.

After several long months, Castle Dusk falls silent, and the sky around Menzagakure returns to normal as the detrimental effects of the castle begin to fade. And with it comes the end of the Event. First, the Lasting Effects:

➤The Mugen Base Camp/Mugen Castle Subfourms will stay in place as permanent fixtures of Menzagakure
➤Mugun Castle is still PvP Friendly, however those who perish and take the option to fade into illusion will only receive 1/2 XP.
➤As the Event is closing, characters will have till February 2st at 23:59pm to take advantage of instant travel from Menzakaure back to their home base. Once the deadline has passed, normal travel rules will resume.
➤As of this announcement you can no longer participate in the Mugen Event Missions.
