The first tag had been rather simple to locate. However Tadara had yet to leave the first hallway. Instead he had taken to collecting makeshift weaponry. A couple of doused torches had pointed ends which made for great Stakes. A broom handle was broken into two short spears cleanly while a thin chain had been located. Not too heavy but with uses. Enough to establish if traps would work on illusions as well. He had considered testing whether Kai would work or not against these illusions but he held doubt to that. The castle itself was a supported summon. Its defense mechanism was to produce violent illusions to protect its existence. As such even if Kai did work it would quickly damage his chakra levels leaving him vulnerable. Not to mention the further he went into the castle the more danger he was in. So the exit strategy had to include further chakra reserves.
For now he would move from his position in silence. The five items held tightly to prevent them from making a shuffling noise, The hall seemed to lead to one further in on either side. A set of stairs could be seen at the end of either with no guards in place. Clearly the goal was to move up from the entrance of this section of the castle. He would contemplate going left or right a moment before determining without further information it would be folly to choose one based on logic. So he would choose left for now. Before moving though he would chip off loose pieces of stone. Using them as he walked slowly down the hall to attempt to trigger an pressure plates. Only finding one that launched a series of poison darts. Useful. He would collect those before moving to the bottom of the stairs. A good spot for a trap. He would use the torches to dig out a spot for the two short spears. Finishing fixating them pointing up the stairs he would move up the stairs slowly. Looking around corners and stopping to fix the chain to either side of the stairs via the poles holding up the railing.
With that all in place Tadara would move to the top and peek around the corner. Another guard in front of another door. So they weren't just spread out randomly....they were at least one on every floor. Or so it appeared so far. Quietly he would take a breath. Testing out with a poison dart if attacking the enemy from a distance triggered them. He would fling it out before it hit. However the poison wasn't very effective with just one dart. That said it did confirm his suspicion as the guard began to move. Noticing him without Tadara having to step foot into the hallway and trigger it. Still this meant he could engage at a safe distance. With that discovery finished Tadara moved down the stairs. Testing to see if the illusion would pursue him. Sure enough it did and it would trip over the chain. Sprawling down the stairs and slamming into the two short spears. Fading away on its own. With that done Tadara would recollect the equipment and move to the alter. This time just ripping the tag away. With no reaction from the castle he would place that one in his pouch as well. Slightly torn.
Exit thread, second tag acquired.
