Diana had returned the previous day from Konoha through the power of Mayfly, and she had spent the day letting Nue recuperate it's chakra, instead switching over to her Hypherion Battery in order to deal with her chakra needs. She didn't really like using her own chakra nowadays, really only relying on it for emergencies as she needed it for clones...or at least that's how it would normally be. She now knew so many more techniques, and she had spent some time practicing them to some degree. Multi-Shadow Clone, Self-Defense Barrier, Rain Tiger at Will.
The less that was spoken about Great Spiraling Ring the better. It was a good thing she had Dark Release. Same went for Lightning Release Armor. She had attempted to use it, but the battery interfered and she had a pseudo-heart attack. It was a painful hour of recovery, made easier by Nue.
The only thing she hadn't tested yet was Lightning Transmission, the Dead Demon techniques, the Eight Gates, and Black Lightning, though as she applied the seal to herself, that was about to change. Channeling her Raiton through the seal, she'd watch as her normally yellow lightning turned a fierce black, the electricity crackling over her skin. Fascinating and useful.
Now came the technique she was most curious about; that of the Eight Gates. It was a similar process to the Pressure Points of Harm and Death, but focused on different tenketsu. Having memories the instructions for how to do such a thing, Diana attempted to open the first gate. It opened, and immediately Diana threw up, jabbing a finger into her skull, closing the tenketsu before it did any real damage to her.
Having fallen to the floor, Diana heaved several gulps of air as she recovered from the pain, Nue putting some chakra into dulling her nerves to think the body was healing. Her body was too weak to safely handle even the first gate...just what was Konoha feeding their shinobi? As she stared at the ground, a new thought came to mind: Why were her fingers white? Looking at them, the very tips were now white, with green fingernails. Very strange.
