Salamander's Best Friend! - Due to the Kazama's long-standing contract with summoning salamanders, Kaido has inherited a natural affinity to summoning contracts to his aid one-class higher (e.g. At E-Class, he can summon C-Class contracts instead of being restricted to D-Class summons), however this comes at the cost of learning Bukijutsu techniques one rank lower then the normal class limit.
Toxicated Body - After being infused with the Kazama's special poison mix, Kaido can now breath out the Black Salamander's Poison or by simply being cut anywhere on his skin, a poison cloud comes out at a max of 10 meters where once inhaled by another person, it decreases their coordination by one tier. Kaido is immune to this poison and therefore doesn't suffer the same decrease if he inhales it. - This is the freebie UA
Keep in the reinforcements! - Kaido's summons can stay for an extra two posts added to what his stamina duration is, at an extra cost of 1.5x increase in stamina costs for summoning. (e.g. A C-Rank summon would usually cost 5 chakra points to summon, but with this UA it would cost 8 chakra points.)
One-handed Seal - Kaido is capable of using one hand to perform jutsu, at the cost of a one-tier coordination loss in using that jutsu.

He wears a mundane black shirt which is covered by the black flak jacket, save for the armsleeves from the shirt itself which stops at his wrists, next he also wears average grey pants which just slight extends below his knees, at his feet he wears zippered up light blue sandals. The remaining, exposed skin on his legs are covered up with wrappings, similarly to his face. He also wears respirators for his very reason if he'll be on the battlefield so he doesn't accidentally breathe poison out to his allies, with how frail the wrappings can be.

Due to growing up in a glorified bandit gang, his views on life are a bit unorthodox compared to what other people his age would normally view. He believes that strength is everything, believing in the saying that might makes right. He carries a cynical view of everything and is highly pessimistic, unless he knows for sure something will go the right way, but only in a pragmatic sense and never in the optimistic sense.
He can handle a level of tolerance to those who he believes are "oblivious" to the ways of the world, more so to the ones who give the vibe of being so nice and innocent, but too much of it can irritate him slightly and he feels a need to correct them on their views.
He tries not to be seen as "weak" due to witnessing his family get killed off, he regrets not having the power or ability to be able to prevent the tragedy that he watched and doesn't want to feel helpless like that ever again, hence his view in believing having power and strength is everything.

- Kaido's family origins back to the Land of Rain, with his ancestors creating a very special chemistry mix only known to the family, which involves the main ingredient of having a black salamander's poison put into the mix itself, the Kazama then weed out their offspring at a young age by making them drink this very mix, with the said children having a very low survival rate of surviving it with the poison most likely just killing them, but if they do survive... they become a venomous human and can breathe out this very poison, or when a cut is made on their body, a poison cloud comes out.
Through this, the family tends to have pretty capable shinobi and through their connection with the salamanders poison, they had noticed that actual salamanders have been oddly receptive and nice in a pet-like manner to the Kazama that survive drinking the poison mix, they used this connection to seal a contract with a fair number of salamanders that they can depend on in battle, modifying these very salamanders to use specific Ijutsu. It was pretty common for every Kazama to at least have one salamander as a personal pet, if they didn't have more then the one.
The Kazama thought about starting their own clan based on their unique poisonous properties and their connection to call upon salamanders for battle or for healing, but they believed if they were to make it official considering how they actually made their venomous ninja in the family and associated themselves with a village, they would be shut-off for how immoral they might seem and the idea wasn't very appealing to them if that were to happen, so instead they made their own organisation and built their group up by accepting any job that went their way, no matter how dirty or big it is.
It was like this for several decades, they had steadily built up their influence and were known to have connections and dealings with the criminal world of the ninja world. At this point, the Kazama were basically a glorified bandit gang and due to their steady flow of infamy in the world, Kaido's father who was the current head of the Kazama at the time had set up a deal to blend in the Kazama gang more thoroughly with other criminal sydnciates, in the hopes of making them harder to hunt for anybody going after the Kazama's bounty.
This is where it all supposedly went wrong, as it's led to believe the Kazama had been tricked by these very organisations and were wiped out in one fell swoop, with Kaido being defenceless in the said attack and helplessly watched his family members get killed off brutally one by one, apparently the reason was to get them out of the way for some scheme they had planned but Kaido couldn't hear the rest of it to figure out what.
Kaido was damaged both physically and mentally, he was attacked harshly as well in the meeting and was presumed to be dead, but he had managed to drag himself out of the meeting when the criminal syndicates were done butchering the Kazama, believing that they wiped everyone out. The meeting spot wasn't that far off from where a fishery was in the Land of Water and eventually someone noticed Kaido, getting him the help he needed and he got saved from bleeding out.
After he had healed up, he thanked the helpful and charitable host who had saved his life and went on his way to Kirigakure as he knew a distant cousin who lived there and he was the only family member he knew off who might take him in, though the guards at the gates in Kirigakure were hesitant at first considering his father's criminal history, but since Kaido technically had no bounty placed on him or no crimes attached to his name, he practically did nothing wrong and was allowed passage into the village.
His cousin was a bit pissed at first, as the whole reason he lived in Kirigakure was to stay out of the family business with what the Kazama were doing but he couldn't refuse him after hearing Kaido's story, his cousin brought Kaido's story forward with the higher ups in the village to ask if it were okay for him to live in the village, to which they gave the okay and gave a clear warning for the young boy to not cause any trouble.
Even though he was a bit older, Kaido went to the academy to become a ninja but had practically aced most of the lessons and exams due to him already knowing most of the knowledge from his time in the Kazama's gang. He didn't know a few things here and there but due to already knowing most of what they were teaching, he graduated as a genin eventually and afterwards, made a promise to himself to gain the strength required to grow stronger, to avenge his family and to never be in such a helpless state again.
