The Chuunin Exams were among Taiga. She wanted to make sure she had everything she needed to be prepared for combat. She was confident in her weaponry and her ability with them but she significantly lacked in the department of armor. She didn't doubt she would take a hit or two, and maybe even get stabbed. The thought of it made her nervous as her body was nowhere near trained to take that kind of damage. Armor helped prevent or lessen the damage received to some degree allowing her to stay in the fight just a little bit longer. Approaching an armorer she would take the time to browse to see what she could afford. She came across steel plates which sounded tempting but they were out of her price range which forced her to look into the budget option of leather. It wasn't as bad as she thought. The leather provided cushioning purposing better at absorbing shock than the steel plates while still provided some adequate protection against blades. She'd buy a vest, arm guards, spaulders, faulds, and shin guards. Although she had enough money for a cuisse she felt that would be just a bit too much. Attaching the armor onto her body she felt comfortable and confident. From the market place she would make her way to the village gates.
