Mission: Ninjutsu Instructor Empty Mission: Ninjutsu Instructor

    Mission Name: Ninjutsu Instructor
    Mission Type: Education
    Mission Rank: D
Mission Goal: Show off your Ninjutsu skills while teaching.
Description: The usual Ninjutsu Instructor is out sick and the Academy needs someone to fill in. Head on over to the academy and take up the instructors class for the day and show of your skills in Ninjutsu.
    Payment: 10,000 Ryo
    Requirements: Genin+, Ninjutsu Skill.

The Shinobi Cloud academy had it’s usual ninjutsu proctor absent for the day. And fortunately for Orihime at the time she was requesting missions from administration the perfect task was set for specifically for her. She wasn’t one to toot her own horn but who wouldn’t be so proud for having administrations assign you a task specifically to you who was apparently the best suit? She had all of her planned tricks laid down and readied in the top of her head. It filled her with excitement having to go back into the academy but… to teach. Uh oh. Chinoike Orihime was an honor student, she exceeded in her studies and was one of the top in her class. There was no shred of doubt that Orihime mastered ninjutsu for a D-rank genin, she could showcase any technique you’d wish to see but to teach… She whole-heartedly knows that she can’t even hold up a small talk with a stranger; this was bad.
For a moment she recollected all sorts of memories from her past to search where her lack of this communication skills stems from. Of course, her grandparents were quite guilty for the most of it. Before letting rage eclipse her mind from the memory of her grandparents, she began to reminisce about all the other people she had awkward encounters with. — And there were quite a few. There was once a boy used to like her back in the academy and Orihime shut him out, unintentionally, but she initially was not aware of his attempt of romanticism at her until now. She was never quite the smooth talker when conversing with boys. She wasn’t much of a talker to the girls in the academy either. Her forehead wrinkled, cringing at the memories. Perhaps the lack of friends also helped with her problems. Her worries increased.

She knew to herself that she had to work on her social skills, all the wasted opportunities, all the questions she could have answered if she raised her hand at the sensei back then. Thinking about it now, if she was given a chance to relieve herself about 2 years ago with the knowledge she has now. She would abuse it but to be frank, right now, she doesn't know how. She had to improve now.

It was a day of soil, sunlight, and smoke. Curtains thin as bedsheets glowed gold as roosters called out. Orihime had been preparing her social skills all night to be able to teach the young aspiring shinobis ninjutsu. She practiced from yesterday’s dusk until the new day’s dawn with stuffed animals: a round owl, a red kitten and a blue baby sea lion laid down onto the ground as she stood before them, reciting lines to them.
“That was the 1000 years of death jutsu. A technique that only works with the right precision. I have had to practice it many times only to master it.” Orihime had her arms laid on her waist, and shrugged so confidently.
“And finally this is the harem jutsu!” She announced as she locked her hands to perform the technique until —
The pendulum of the tall grandfather clock from across the room stopped for a brief second and chimed it’s loud bell to announce the time, the hour. Six o’clock. She turned her to check at the clock then to the window. Golden rays emanating until it reached the floor, inches from where she stood. The realization started to seep in slow but quite steady until it rushes through her. “Wha…” She widely opened her mouth, saying something as she gasped in surprise. She looked at the stuffed animals  “So, you didn’t even bother telling me I have been practicing almost all day!” She yelled at them. She blathered on. The situation would make you pity the innocent stuffed animals. She only then stopped until she realized who she was yelling at. Realizing, again, her loneliness. She realized, again, her awkwardness; Stuffed animals are way different than people, Orihime thought. How in the world would I ever get through this later?

Two hours later. Orihime had assigned the class president to lead the marching line, heading its way into the ground one training field, a restricted area but she thought of no better place to practice ninjutsu other than an open field. It was safe… safe enough. Surely the students only 2 or 5 years younger her own age can manage themselves here, or so Orihime thought. She was supposed to rehearse the lines she prepared in her head but her mind trailed off beyond it, some else where; Such peaceful looking clouds Her head held up high to watch them drifting away into one direction letting the wind wash them away. Quite similar to the sea. She walked amongst the shinobis-in-training belatedly forgetting she was supposed to be at the very last of the line to supervise all of them. They can manage… Her eyes sluggishly opened like her demeanor. The students were already noticing her weirdness, making skepticism about her; “How can the Raikage assign use with this lady? She looks drugged.” someone would whisper to another. “What in the world is our sub on? I’ll have what she’s having.” Orihime noticed and heard some jeering in the front. “Hey you!” She loudly warned to particularly no one in the group, unlikely of her. Somehow her fatigue is giving her confidence. Ignorance is bliss, some may say. At least she hasn’t noticed it herself yet. “Stop your hullabaloo!” She glacially bursted out, from the shy quiet shinobi she was yesterday. Her brows lazily furrowed an effort to look like she cared. “It’s disrespectful… to me!”
“Uh oh. I think she heard you.” “You’re in big trouble.” Different voices from the group have said.
“Yeah! That’s right! All of you.” She spun her pointed finger around at them. “All of you are in trouble once we get to ground one!” —
“Ma’am” The short class president tugged on her clothes. “We’re already on ground one.”
Orihime’s fatigue is taking a toll on her. She knew she had to shake it off of her. She shook her head vigorously. “All right…” She breathed out.

They positioned themselves to how Orihime had planned... Actually, she had forgotten the plan.
So instead, the students sat around scattered into their own spots, their own liking. There was really no specific area for Orihime to appropriately perform ninjutsu on but she stood amongst everyone in the very middle. Surely, this was safe enough, unfortunately, Orihime thought. She began her introductions which was her mostly blathering on even after telling everyone her name, she somehow also told them about her favorite food, colors, and a brief background of her life back in tagamahara and the relationship she has between her and her grandparents —She swore she saw or heard someone crying. “A real tear jerker. I know.” She said sardonically to someone.
Afterwards she begun the presentations. “Ninjutsu is a skill that requires you to have a great amount of stamina and chakra. Like other skills, ninjutsu cannot be perfected easily,”
“Unless you’re me.” She bat an eye to all the students around looking unamused. “What a bragger for a substitute.” She heard someone whisper. A substitute. That will surely bring their interest back.
She began doing her hand seals. Dog to Boar to Ram. Then the image of what was once Chinoike Orihime was replaced by someone else in a matter of seconds. A child that sat directly in front of her was now witnessing a spitting image of himself the students were in awe. Some stood up to examine, who was actually, Orihime.
“Quickly! Someone throw a Kunai at me!” She demanded but she spoke with the voice of the child, not hers. The students hesitated.
She knew they were reluctant and so she gritted her teeth. “Whoever throws a kunai gets an A+ from me!” Orihime challenged them.
Abruptly, dozens, no, hundreds! of Kunais flew towards her direction. Some that aren't even kunais but shurikens, maybe some daggers as well. Uh oh. And “uh oh” indeed. I got a bad feeling about this. Quickly.
No more hesitations. “Body Replacement Technique.” She muttered out but the hisses of the kunais and shurikens swift throws muffled out her voice.
A puff of smoke released from her body and the image of the child was once again replaced but this time an object, a wooden log.
“Woah!” “Where did she go?” Some kids cried out. And Orihime appeared right behind.
“There she is!” The class president yelled. “Get her!” And once more, they threw flying stars and knives at her. Orihime gracefully dodged all of them.
Half-tiger hand seal She lazily performed but the focus was precise.
The students were scattered so she didn’t quite get to make a clean run with the body flicker technique with most of them as obstacles.
Ultimately she has used up most of her chakra with the Body Flicker Technique.

    [10/50 chakra used]

“Enough!” She brought herself to halt, her face flushed red either from exhaustion or frustration. Abruptly, out of the blue a  fuuma shuriken hit her directly in the face, she fell out of consciousness. And, that concluded her ninjutsu lessons.

    Exit.
