Description: When the dates begin to fall every year they attract hordes of giant wasps that feast on the sugars. This makes the oasis unsafe for travelers. Eliminate all wasps and dispose of their corpses safely.

Wasps. Ei hated wasps. There were worse things in the world, but something about insects put her off. The idea of being around a member of the Aburame Clan was similarly disconcerting. Hopefully she would never have to run into someone from that clan. If she did, Ei likely wouldn’t have been able to help herself but likely to be incredibly rude. Luckily, unlike members of the Aburame Clan these wasps could be exterminated like the pests they were. Out in the oasis this sort of thing happened every year during the harvest system. As the dates fell off the trees they would attract bugs, and specifically wasps. This wasn’t a problem where dates were cultivates as they could be collected and taken harvested before they began to rot on the ground, but out in the oasis near Sunagakure there was nobody tending to the various trees in the same way. Shinobi were always sent out to clear the area out of wasps while not damaging the oasis itself.
Ei now had the perfect tool to accomplish this. Fire. Not just any fire though, one that she could perfectly control. Shakuton. Her newfound mastery over the element allowed her to clear out wasps efficiently and effectively. The orbs could be controlled as to not damage nearby scenery or wildlife, while also effectively burning all the wasps in the smart to a crisp. The manner in which they floated far out from Ei’s position and radiated light meant that the wasps were unable to make the connection that she was the source of their destruction, preventing her from feeling the wrath of the wasps as she fried them.
Millions of dead wasps later, Ei would return to the village, feeling pleased with herself.
