Description: Nanashi is a traditional Katana in design, a blade with no name yet with a name, it has a Tsuka wrapped in red silk, giving it a comfy but textured grip--bits of white shown between the wraps. A basic oval Tsuba was met with a silver Habaki. The blade itself was a slightly lengthy 34" razor sharp edge, with a curved Yokote, made of Ebony Steel. A simple design, but crafted to near perfection by a skilled blacksmith many years ago. The sheath is a basic gloss black, made of the famed Senju Wood, with a red silk wrap that matches the handle's Ito curled about it and tied off. At the base of the Tsuka, there is a metal ring. It is attached to 300ft/100m of metal wire--also made of ebony.
