Finding and taking care of some bandits,

Description: A number of merchant caravans have been reported to be attacked throughout the Hiyoto province. This is obviously an issue halting a portion of goods from reaching the village. Scout the last known area a caravan was attacked and try to locate their base of operations. If found, return and report your findings or if you feel up to it take care of them yourselves. [2 D-rank Bandits, 1 C-rank Bandit, 1 B-rank Bandit Boss]

Zenaku had been called to the hokage's office and was told that he was being sent on a B rank mission, he was to scout the Hiyoto province and find out who has been attacking caravans that was heading for the village. He was told that there was a promising Genin that had managed to make a name for him self among the Genin so he was gonna go along. Zenaku had no problem with that, he could remember when he was a genin, that seemed like so long ago now but he said that he understood and so he bowed to the hokage before he turned around and left the room. Zenaku would head back to his place first tho as he would grab the stuff that he would need for the mission. He was not sure if they was gonna have to do any fighting but it was never a bad idea to come prepared so he would bring some extra kuni and senbone. Once he was finished zenaku would head over to the hidden village gates as he would wait for the genin to get there if he was not already there. They had forgot to mention what he looked like so he was going into this blind as to what his team mate looked like, zenaku stood by the gate as he where his black pants that came down to his shins as they was covered in white bandage.

He had on a pair of sandals that came up past his ankles, he also where a black jacket like shirt that the sleeves was so long that they was longer then his arms so the sleeves was hanging down over his hands about 4 mayb 5 inches. He had black spiky shirt hair on the top but behind him he had a pony tail that would come down to about the middle of his back, he had pale skin tho almost all the Uchiha had that and black eyes, his head band was tight on his head, he had his chunin flack jacket on showing his rank of chunin, to be honest he was never a fan of having to where that jacket but he liked the protection it gave him. So now he just stood there as he leaned up against the wall beside the hidden leaf village gates as they was going to the hiyoto area.

It was his first mission since the catastrophe out in the Land of Waterfalls, and Ashitaka was really hoping to redeem himself this time. Mostly because he liked all of his body parts where they were and he wasn't too keen on the idea of making any more "generous donations" to compensate for his failings in the field. Luckily, this seemed to be a rather generic business of handling bandits, so he probably shouldn't have to worry about alien gods or lightning mummies mauling him. Probably. The boy with a man's body and intellect still armed himself to the nines just in case. It took some work and a sacrifice of a couple of his earlier pieces, but he still managed to dress himself in everything he made this year. He looked at his reflection before heading out of the Senju District of which he was the lone inhabitant and sighed. At some point, he was going to have to remember to buy some better quality armor. But it was too late for that now, he had to go meet up with his compatriot for the mission.

Once outside, he bolted up a wall and across several rooftops until he reached the District Gate, then ran along that wall until it took him to the Main Gate of the city, where he dropped in and looked around for his partner. He guessed it was the man looking like he was waiting for something. Contrary to the forest green blindfold he previously wore, he now adorned his head with a grass green hood with white marks that looked like eyes pretty high up on it, leaving his actual eyes as the only part of his face uncovered. It was held in place by a navy blue headband with brown trim around his throat that unlike the hood actually matched the rest of his clothes. He bowed and briefly pulled the lower part of his hood away from his face as he greeted the older ninja.

"Uchiha Zenaku, yes? I am Senju Ashitaka. I look forward to working with you on this mission!" he returned the face-cover to its place and took a moment to adjust the pair of weapon scrolls on his back, hoping they didn't cause too many problems with the quiver on their trip. He had to re-angle the axe below them to a left-handed draw so that it would hold the scrolls and quiver diagonally toward his right shoulder. In his right hand was a weapon that looked like an ornate quarterstaff with a silk cord attaching both ends, and he thought that for this mission, he might try using it as a bow for the first time.

As zenaku was standing there he was approached by a person who introduced him self as a senju, he had never meet a senju him self all he knew of them was that for some reason the Uchiha and the senju was at odds but he was hoping to some how be able to fix that problem. " hello there ash, I hope you don't mind me calling you ash. I am zenaku uchiha it's nice to meet ya. Today we are going to scout the hiyoto province for any signs of bandits in the area, it's just gonna be us today on this mission, normally on scouting missions you do not come in contact with enemy forces but you should be ready just in case. If we do find the bandits we are asked by the hokage to bring them in so if your ready let's head out." After explaining the mission to ash zenaku jumped up into a tree as they would head towards the destination.

As it happened, Ashitaka had been officially a Senju for only about a week now, and he was only peripherally aware of any grudges between his birth clan and any others. To him, the present and future were more important than the past. And at present, he was training himself by virtue of taking on less extreme missions than the one that nearly killed him and meeting new people along the way.

"I don't suppose I mind. Although I think we should refrain from referring to each other by name at all when outside the limits of our village, Senpai." he responded. He knew that Nyg-sensei would frown on him for even this slight infraction of respect for his superiors, but sometimes he felt that quiet obedience would lead to worse circumstances than if he tried to gently guide his superiors to at least attempt something approaching tactical self-awareness. "Please take good care of me."

He listened while the Uchiha explained the mission again, then followed suit after the older ninja leapt into a tree. He remained about a half-move behind him on the way to where they would be searching for the bandits. Once they were out of sight of Konoha, Ashitaka activated his Sensory power and kept a passive alert for any hidden enemies along the way. While 50m was much closer than he would have liked, it was still preferable to being caught entirely by surprise. Since he normally used this ability while mostly stationary, it was a curious exercise to maintain it while brachiating.

Zenaku liked the way this kid thought and he was quick to think to not use there real name out side of the village, if they used these names out side of the village every one would know they was from here sense there last names was famous all over the place.

" That is actually a great Idea there,I got it, just call me Raven while out on the mission."

As the two of them was traveling though the tree branches zenaku activated his scarlet red sharingan as he would see if he could spot any chakra sources and there was some a little ways off and sense he was a little ways ahead he would have seen there chakra for he had very good perception. Because of this zenaku waved his hand to signal to ash that they was landing. Once he touched the ground gently zenaku started looking around and noticed that there was some foot parents on the ground, crouching down zenaku followed the footprints as they went though some bushes. Zenaku knew that this was gonna take some smart tactics so he would then use the tiger hand sign as he whispered " shadow clone jutsu."

In that instance one clone showed up right beside zenaku. " transformation jutsu." The clone said and then he sneaked up the road some before he came walking down the road towards two fellows. They was wearing some hide clothing which made zenaku wonder if these guys was it. As he was walking by he got some of what they was saying.

" just wait gurrak a little while more and we can attack that village a little ways away and see what we can find."

" You right tyusko I just hope we can find plenty of drink, women and food."

Zenaku clone was almost gone before the men noticed him, they just suddenly attacked the clone as they stabbed it and it puffed away. Zenaku looked at ash and he pointed his hand towards them then did the signal for knocking them out. Zenaku would suddenly jump out from the bushes and a bandit saw me so he flashed his sharingan at the bandit as he would suddenly fainted as if he was hit. He would now see what ash did cause he might be a genin but zenaku knew he had some skill at least enough to take out a weak bandit.

"I'll go by 'Wolf' then, Mr. Raven," the boy replied.

Shortly later, he picked up the distinctive chakra surge that he was beginning to be able to identify as an activating Sharingan without even really thinking about it. As he expected, the Uchiha was able to find a trail before he was, due to his ability not applying to anything lacking an abundance of chakra. Ashitaka stopped when Zenaku directed him to and waited for the chuunin to reach a conclusion from the trail he was looking at. When he saw him use Shadow Clone, he decided that now was a great time to learn it. Pausing on the branch he'd stopped at, he also formed a Tiger seal and focused on splitting his chakra into a duplicate of himself.

He remembered a little too late that he was a Senju.

Rather than the conventional Shadow Clone that he was going for, Ashitaka created something considerably different. He opened his eyes and watched as his Wood Clone leapt down to land beside Zenaku of its own accord. The clone followed Zen's clone along the road without using the Transformation jutsu. That was, not until the bandits suddenly attacked and stabbed its fellow clone, resulting it in taking up a Fuuma Shuriken in his right hand and fastening a length of steel wire to its center, and throwing it past its intended target, who was distracted by his partner suddenly dropping until the large spinning blade skated by harmlessly.

"Oi, ya missed me, ya little punk!" the unharmed bandit shouted as he drew his sword and taking the movement of the index finger of Ashitaka's clone to be an invitation to combat. The ignorant man charged a few steps until he heard the threatening hiss of the large shuriken rapidly approaching him from behind. He turned just in time to barely deflect the projectile with his own sword, which was obliterated by the action due to meeting the vastly superior craftsmanship with its own pitiful rustedness. The bandit didn't even have time to register shock at the destruction of his weapon or relief that it wasn't extended to himself before he felt a faint pressure against his back and the backs of his arms. And the fuuma shuriken was approaching him again.

The man screamed and panicked as he pressed further away from the weapon in small circles, unaware of the fact that his doing so was what was kiting the spinning blade toward him and also wrapping himself up in the steel wire as Ashitaka's clone slowly fed it out in time with his target's movements. Eventually the clone either decided the man was sufficiently bound or got bored and pulled the other end of the wire free and bound it to the ring of a more ordinary-shaped kunai which he threw so that it would fly in the opposite direction of the fuuma shuriken, eventually wrapping the man entirely in wire with both weapons pinned against his back and the man's arms pinned to his sides. The bandit fell on his face.

"Are we going to interrogate them?" the real Ashitaka asked as he leapt down to stand next to his superior and wait for further orders.

Before the two of them had left the village zenaku heard ash say that his code name would be wolf, zenaku thought that sounded good the raven and the wolf sounded like a good team. With his sharingan still active he would look over to ash to see that he had also used a clone e like him self, but from what he knows of the senju that was no normal clone in fact that was called a wood clone and they was much better then a normal clone cause they could take a lot more damage before fading away. It would look like this ash kid had some talent so it would probably be a good idea to keep a eye on him to see how he grows to eing a ninja. Ash would then ask him if he wished to integrate them, zenaku smiled as he walked over towards the man.

" yes but this shall not be a normal way of doing it and making him talk though pain might not work and we are in a hurry. So now I shall use a secret technique to read his thoughts for those can not lie. This move is no where as good as the Yamanaka clan but it should be good enough to get information from this man."

Zenaku walked up to the man and placed his hand on top of his head. As he did zenaku would start to read his mind, from what he could find at first was of no use to what they was looking for, but then he found something about a small cave about 8 miles from where they was which meant that these two was nothing more then the scouting party.

Ok I have what I need, it would seem that the others is about 8 miles from where we are and they are that way."

Zenaku would say as he pointed into the woods. Zenaku would then signal for them to leave.

Ashitaka had never summoned a Wood Clone before, but he wasn't about to let Zenaku know that. He needed his teammate to be able to believe in the extent of his abilities. So he dismissed the clone while he watched his companion mindread the bound thief. He repressed a shudder. The Sharingan was definitely more invasive than the Byakugan. When the chuunin remarked on the distance of the bandits' camp, it inspired a host of questions from the kid.

"Isn't 8 miles a bit far for bandits to be wandering? Do you think they're covering the entire area between here and there? Are they searching in a radius that wide, or did they already have a general idea of where the village is? Did you get a rough idea of how many of them there are? Any hostages or valuable items we should be on the lookout for?"

After a moment, he remembered what Nyg-sensei told him about questioning his superiors and lowered his head.

"Sorry," he said quietly, then flowed Earth chakra through first his feet, then the rest of his body as he approached and knelt next to the bound bandit as his skin blackened up to his neck, then punched the man in the face, knocking him out. Then he released the jutsu and started unbinding the man and returning his weapons and wire to their homes. Once finished, he formed the Dragon hand seal as he prepared a flare to inform the police force that they had captured a couple of crooks. Painful memories of being shocked and impaled flashed through his mind, and the flare was sent into a tree.

He stared at nothing for a minute as he hyperventilated. Then the flashbacks ended and he returned to reality. By then, the nearby village guards had already arrived to investigate the flare and found the bandits. They didn't even ask if Ashitaka was okay, instead congratulating Zenaku on catching the thugs and advising him to direct all future signal flares into the sky. The kid said nothing, instead leaping into the tree branches and heading off in the direction that his superior indicated they would find the bandit camp in.

As zenaku heard the young genin speak zenaku would look at him as his sharingan was still active as he was looking towards him with his scarlet eyes. Zenaku just laughed cause he found it healthy for ninja to ask questions and not just blindly follow orders with out thinking for there own. " Your right 8 miles normally is a bit far but from what i could gather in these men memory's they was not told every thing. See the village they are looking for is always shielded by a barrier ninjutsu which hides its location which is why there leader is making them look so far. In all there was these two men then two others so at least there numbers are not high, but because they do have a low amount of men we shall be careful with the other two."

Zenaku deactivated his sharingan as he turned and began to walk towards the area where he read from those men's mind, he watched as ashitaka hardened his skin some how probably by a earth jutsu then knocked the man out. Zenaku would walk into the woods and as he was walking he would make sure to watch out for any traps cause he would hate to have a squad mate get hurt cause he was not paying attention.

Ashitaka stopped on one of the branches suddenly, then moved his headband from under his vest to its proper place wrapped around his forehead. Then, he formed the Tiger, Dog, and Snake seals again and summoned a new Wood Clone. Then he formed the Bird, Dog, and Snake hand seals and transformed himself into an arrow fit for a longbow. This arrow was then aimed in the general direction of the bandits' lair and fired in a high arc. The clone picked up Zenaku's presence below it and called out to him.

"Raven, we're moving too slowly. If you're holding back on my account, you can stop. If not, then please do as I have done and we can get going towards our destination much faster. And hurry, when I get out of range, this clone will disappear."

Once airborne, Ashitaka dismissed the Transformation technique, then applied it again, causing his thick wooden bracers to thin and spread out into a body glider and his headband to drop and form a pair of goggles. Orienting his body, he shot towards their intended destination at an incredible speed. Zen had seconds to make a decision and act on it. While it may have seemed brash, he was actually being prudent with this haste. If there were only five bandits and these two were this far out, then the other two were probably standing guard at the base with nothing between the point of their last scrap and their goal but hours of wasted time. And hours more on the way back.

Zenaku was continuing on his path as he was keeping a eye on ashitaka to make sure the young genin was able to keep up with zenaku, but it would seem that his worrys was for nothing as he watched out of the corner of his eye him suddenly turn him self into a arrow then fired his self towards the area where the bandits was, he heard ash tell him that he needed to hurry up cause if zenaku was holding back his speed for ash then don't.

Well that was a good idea but in all honesty ash had done nothing more then to just waste chakra by using a wood clone then to use the transformation jutsu, so using the tiger hand seal zenaku would transform into a bird that he knew was a bird that hung around these parts so that way he would not look out of place.

Zenaku now being a bird could freely fly and have a easier time to find the hang out that the bandits was using, as he was flying he was making sure that ash did not get him self lost, zenaku would fly down as he saw that there was some smoke coming up from a camp fire, as he landed he landed in the camp of the bandits and so far as he was watching them they did not notice him or realize that the bird was nothing more then a transformation jutsu, now he hoped that ash used his head and did something simuler that way they could get the jump of the bandits.

Ashitaka was actually intentionally drawing the attention of the bandits. As the more "durable" combatant, it was his duty to take the hits that would otherwise be directed at his comrades. As for the clone, its chakra cost was only temporary since what he spent creating it was returned to him when it self-banished as soon as he got out of range. His glide ended only about a kilometer after it began, but he had covered considerably more ground than he would have ordinarily. Sensing Zen's chakra catch up to him, he looked in its direction until he spotted a large bird approaching with his signature. He really hoped that the bandits didn't have any Sensors among them, or he was in for some pain. Still, being a bird was more efficient than constantly re-Transforming twice per iteration and launching himself in the meantime, so he did.

His Wood Transformation gave him much greater durability than the regular one, so he hoped the bandits would target him instead of Zen. Granted, that was considerably harder with them having similar forms now, but he could hope. As much faster as they were going in flight than they would from either running or leaping among branches, the trip was still a long one. They could at best cut down the 2.5 hour journey to an hour, maybe a little less.

Zenaku could tell with his sharingan that ash Ahmad caught up to him as he had turned into a bird him self. As they was sitting there in bird form zenaku could see the last two people sitting there as they was busy talking among them self's. " this is bullshit, how much longer are we gonna have to wait for those dumb asses to return before we can head out." One of the bandits said as he pulled up a bottle of some liquid as he drank some. The other bandit was just sitting there with his arms crossed and his eyes closed. " shut up kuro we shall sit here until they return, we can not hit the village yet for those idiot's was out gathering intelligence, once they return then we can head out...for the mean time why don't you two that's hiding come out from where you are "

It would seem that the one who called them out was there leader and so zenaku wondered if this guy had any former ninja training. But zenaku would play it safe so what he would do is instantly undo the transformation jutsu but then create a clone jutsu as he once again did a transformation jutsu. So hopefully the bandit did not know what he did as the real zenaku was still a bird and his clone was now standing in front of the bandit. " I take it your the leader of these thugs. I'm here to take you guys in so we can do this the hard way or the easy way it's your choice " as he said that the boss would suddenly use some shuriken throwing stars as they came for zenaku who countered that by using his own throwing stars. They collided as they hit the ground." Ashitaka I will deal with the boss you handle that other one and do not let your guard down for it seems they are probably former genin or chunin from another village but was kicked out "

Ashitaka listened to Zenaku and watched him challenge the bandit leader, who immediately responded with a futile attack. He sighed before flying down and resuming human form right behind the guards who were about to try ganging up on his partner. Although he had been slacking in his Taijutsu training, he caught both men by their arms nearest himself using his raw strength and agility. They both looked at him in surprise, then dawning horror as they realized they couldn't break his grip while he spoke.

"I hope you said that as a matter of formality, and not with any sincere notion that he might surrender peacefully," he deadpanned as he rotated his arms, pulling the two bandits off balance and toward him before releasing them and delivering an open-handed punch to both men's chests simultaneously, cracking several ribs on each and slamming their backs into the walls behind them.

"Oi, ya little shit! Yer gonna pay fer that!" one said as both of them forced themselves to their feet and pulled out kunai. Ashitaka only sighed in response and drew his axe with one hand, hurling it at the one who'd spoken and pinning him to the wall with its head buried in the cracked stone and its haft pressing against his chest. The other bandit saw this as an opening and leapt at the boy, only to be caught in the same part of his chest that he'd been punched in earlier by the tip of the "bow" Zen had seen him use earlier. The man wailed on it futilely with his kunai while the other guard struggled to free himself from the axe. Ashitaka, meanwhile, paid neither bandit attention and instead focused on his senior's duel with the leader.

This was seen as an invitation by the bandits he was fighting to throw their kunai at him, to which he responded by catching one and using it to deflect the other into the ground at his feet before throwing them both back to their owners within inches of their faces.

"Knock it off, both of you, or I'm going to hurt you for real."

As zenaku clone was busy dealing with the boss zenaku would watch ash while still transformed as the bird, the bandit leader must be pretty dumb if he thought he was actually fighting against the real thing. " you are a good fighter ninja but I have some tricks of my own you see now watch. Shadow clone jutsu." Zenaku wanted to laugh at this guy using there own villages jutsu on him. Zenaku made it look like he was putting up a fight but in the end fighting the two with just a clone caught up to him and they was able to hit zenaku clone.

The bandit had thought that he had won at first or at least he did until his clone vanished into a cload of smoke, zenaku took this moment to undo his transformation jutsu as he threw some senbone needles that hit the bandits clone destroying it. Zenaku would then preform some hand signs as he gathered up his chakra. " Water style water bullet jutsu." Zenaku would first gather up his chakra into his stomach then he turned it into water as he spit out a lot of water out that looked like a large ball of water as it smashed into the bandit leader and when it did it crashed him into the rock behind him.

The bandit was not finished and he was surprised that the bandit could take this much damage and still be moving. Zenaku then activate his sharingan as his scarlet red eyes gazed at the bandit. " hahaha, I see now. So this is why your so talented and a ninja your from the mighty Uchiha clanbof the leaf. But do not think that this will make me give up." The bandit was pretty persistent but zenaku knew that he would be able to handle this person.

Ashitaka watched, totally nonplussed as the two shadow clones duked it out. For several seconds, it actually looked like the two of them were serious. If he hadn't both Sensory abilities and experience with various people using the tech, he'd almost mistake it for a real fight. Of course, knowledge and experience completely colored his perspective of the skirmish, especially when the bandit leader finally landed a blow on Zen's clone, revealing its true nature. It disappeared in a puff of smoke as the bandit leader's roaring laughter was suddenly cut off by the revelation that he'd fallen for the exact same jutsu he was using.

This... is stupid! he thought to himself. He was pretty sure that there was no bigger waste of time than fighting as a pair of shadow clones, except maybe for watching that fight. Suddenly, a handful of senbon needles flew just over his shoulder to pop the bandit leader's shadow clone. He didn't have enough time to get angry about the near miss, though, as he picked up a sudden surge of Suiton chakra from the Uchiha chuunin's position. Forgetting the bandits he was pinning for a moment, he dove out of the way of the large blast of water that tore through the space he was occupying and bowled over the bandit leader, smashing the thug into one of the cave's walls.

As he got up, he saw that both of the lesser bandits were now missing, with stumpy little logs in their places. He let out a low growl then caught his axe as it was hurled at his face from the shadows in the depths of the cave, not far from the leader's position, hearing the would-be assailant curse as his attack failed. Then he heard the familiar whizzing of approaching kunai and used his staff to bat them away with one hand while he holstered the axe with the other. Then he planted the stick briefly to free up his hands and form the Monkey hand seal, summoning up a burst of Doton chakra which he used to spit boulders at all three bandits.

"Please stop playing around, Raven. The longer we spend out here, the greater our risk of encountering real threats."

Zenaku would chuckle as he heard ashitaka get a little grumpy as zenaku was having his fun with the bandit leader. " Fine Wolf you party pooper, ok then while i finish this leader up you head into the cave for the other two you can handle that right." Zenaku would say as he kept his sharingan eyes on the leader of the bandits. " Once i finish up here if you have not returned with the other two i will come in to give you a hand." Zenaku knew that this boy was nothing but a genin but even still he respected his skill in combat and knew that he would be able to handle the order that he was given.

Zenaku looked at the bandit as he smiled at him. " Your just unlucky that you had me as your opponent but do not worry i shall not do any thing to bad." Zenaku then would preform the hand signs Dog → Snake → Monkey → Ox → Tiger. Zenaku noticed as the bandit was looking at his hands trying to figure out what type of jutsu he was gonna use. " What the hell you accursed Uchiha just what jutsu are you playing at." Just then Zenaku would vanish from the bandits sight as he dissipated into a mist like fashion. The bandit would start yelling as what looked like a tree began to wrap its self around the guy and he could no longer move. Just then zenaku top half of his body would appear from out of the tree as he looked at him.

" Unfortunately my friend i can not kill you, so i need you to take a very log sleep." Zenaku would then knock the man out as the genjutsu would then vanish and no longer be in effect. Sense ash had not got back yet zenaku would tie the bandit up as he placed him over his shoulder and then made his way into the cave to check on the young Genin.

Learned : Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death

Ashitaka couldn't begin to understand why his partner was refusing to take this seriously. It was the complete opposite sort of irritation that he got from the bunny-masked woman, who took their mission so seriously that it turned potentially helpful allies into nearly deadly enemies.

"...while i finish this leader up you head into the cave for the other two you can handle that right." the chuunin asked, and as though to answer his question, two of the three boulders he'd launched (he wasn't sure how he managed to miss with the third one) fell from their targets to impact the ground and roll toward the two Konoha nin with a series of awful thuds. With agonized moans, both of the bandits fell on their faces on either side of their leader.

"You mean those other two?" he deadpanned. He had to cover his ears as the leader started freaking out about... something, and it was then that Ashitaka noticed that Zenaku had his Sharingan aimed at the man, and remembered Ari having a similar albeit somewhat more peaceful meltdown when Nyg-sensei subjected her to his scarlet gaze. He tried and failed to resist his face twisting into a snarl at the sight. The Uchiha were valuable allies who currently dominated the village, but he still resented the illusory arts almost as much as he did the alien beings. Of all the things that one person could do to another, attacking the mind probably ranked among the most terrible in the boy's opinion. Still, he pretended it was directed at the bandits, because he didn't want to make another enemy, least of all one in a more favored position in his own community than himself. "Let's just get this over with. Can you please send out the flare? I'll make sure these morons don't go anywhere."

Then he suited actions to words, moving among the bandits and forming the Snake seal next to each one, summoning a set of durable wooden stocks to trap them in apparently out of thin air (but really from the dead skin in the palms of his hands). He clapped a set to each bandit, and once they were all secured, he walked a short distance away and then turned to face them. He made the Ram, Ox, Boar, and Snake seals; then pressed the palms of his hands to the ground. There was a terrible rumbling like somebody was trying to lay a mile of railroad all at once, then a series of wooden bars formed a lattice separating the bandits from the entrance of the cave and also the path leading further into it. Then another set of lattices made separated them from each other, and a heavy wooden chain burst out of the stone wall in each individual cell and attached itself to the stocks of the bandits inside. With that mission accomplished, Ashitaka kept an eye on the three prisoners while he waited for Zen to report their success.

After zenaku had finished his genjutsu and the bandit leader was now knocked out in front of him he watched as the young Genin ash walked over and placed something on them before he stepped back, he did some hand signs then slammed his hands down onto the ground as wooden cages or bars would surround the enemy's and they was now trapped. It was probably a better idea any way then just using some rope cause unless they was stronger then that wood jutsu they would not be able to escape from that. He could tell tho that ash was not a fan of Genjutsu, tho he did not show it on his face he could get a vibe about it from him and he could tell that he was not the first Uchiha that ash had come in contact with. It was true that the uchiha was not very liked from the people in the village, they saw them as the ruling class and so they either feared them, respected them or hated them which zenaku did not like but it was just something he would have to deal with being a uchiha and all.

He heard ash ask him to use the flair to signal that they had finished there mission so doing the hand signs he fired a signal flare up into the air. It was not very long after that, and they was greeted by member of the Anbu black ops as they grabbed the bandits and vanished back towards the village. " I guess we better get going ah wolf, we need to report back to the hokage." With that said zenaku jumped up into the trees and he began to make his way back to the village, it took about a hour to get back to the village. " Ok ash your dismissed. I will go and report our successful mission to the hokage." Zenaku reached into his pocket and pulled out a small ticket and handed it to the young man. " Here you go ashitaka, im not sure if your into this kind of food but here is a ticket for a free bowl of raman at ichiraku's. Call it a good job reward or what ever you wish, i hope to work with you again in the future." Once the boy took the ticket zenaku would vanish from where he was standing and a few minutes later was standing in front of the hokages office.

It had taken zenaku about thirty minutes talking with the Hokage about there mission, but now that he was free he decided that it was about time that he got back to his training.

Ashitaka kept an eye on the bandits while Zenaku used a flare to summon the proper authorities. He really wished that all missions were this easy, and could be solved with so little bloodshed. But he'd already learned the hard way that this wasn't the case. Still, with any luck, a positive report from his partner here would be a step in the direction of restoring Nyg-sensei's opinion of him. Although he was far from eager to return to the front lines, the last thing he wanted was to stay here in the village with his tail between his legs.

"I guess we better get going ah wolf, we need to report back to the hokage."

The boy nodded silently and followed the chuunin back in the direction of the village. He wasn't sure how it took less time to get back than to head out, but he wasn't about to complain. When they arrived, Raven dismissed him, but just as he was about to leave the teen offered him a ticket for free ramen. Well that was nice of him. Ashitaka bowed in response.

"Thank you sure. It was nice working with-" and he was gone. Ashi looked around, wondering if he just got suckered into some kind of genjutsu trick. But after probing with his Sensing Technique for a minute, he decided that he wasn't and opted to go cash in the ticket. Eating hadn't been necessary for him for months, but it still felt good and the kid could use all the "good feeling" he could get lately.
