Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

"Well, seeing as he isn't responding to either of us, I guess you get to make the big call: Go and try to help your ally, or guard a-" It was brief. Too brief. And too fast. His mind registering the quick rise in chakra and the startup movement of his opponent, but by the time he was properly moving, Chikamatsu was at a huge disadvantage. Even his All-Seeing Eye failed him as his opponent 'blinked' right over to his backside with the outstretched arm slamming into both the pack that was keeping his standby puppets...well on standby, and the puppet armor as well.

The impact would bust through the puppet and KTM, hitting the core and shattering them like glass, shards of the inventions flying off as raiton coursed it's way through the puppet. The other four humanoid puppets and spider puppet would fall limp as the KTM was destroyed. His entire body felt numb as he ragdolled through the air for a very short time before rolling dangerously close to the edge of the building, Ari's body having rolled a little as well, but still safe. Chika's mind was processing what happened as his instincts kicked in for battle. What had hit him? Did something manage to get into his blind spot? No, that couldn't be right; there was raiton chakra he could see right before impact. It had to be the Kumo-nin, but how did he move so fast? What sort of jutsu made a person go that fast? He'd tried to get ready, but something stopped him.

He couldn't move. Why couldn't he move? Panic started to set in as he tried to move his hands. His arms. His legs; nothing. His eyes? Okay those worked. His tongue? That worked as well. Seeing as he could breath and think that also worked, but not the larger body parts. He could probably move his neck, but that was a bit risky seeing as his body wasn't fully responding. At least his byakugan was working, maybe that would give him some insight. He'd look over his body, not focusing on the man who had hit him as he couldn't do anything about that right now; one thing at a time.

Oh. No wonder he wasn't able to move. his Thoracic vertebrae was struck. It wasn't much, but he could see a small metal piece had wedged itself in-between the second and third vertebrae. It was probably for the best that his body was numb, as while it had pierced him, it was also plugging the wound from bleeding and preventing him from feeling the pain. It probably hit him at a fast enough speed that the pain hadn't even registered before the nerves were cut off. It would take some time, but it could be removed and healed with his skill in ijutsu, but not right now. He still had the means to move his body seeing as his chakra system wasn't harmed, though given they were on a tall building that would pose some trouble. For now though, he needed to hope to god that his opponent would assume he was in a state similar to his partner as he turned his eyes back to his opponent; if he could even see them that is.

Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

Post by Valen Minamoto Fri Oct 16, 2020 10:14 am

Tamwyn could indeed see the eyes of the green haired boy that had come flying out of the now revealed puppet. So that had been what Masaru was referring to when he called it a 'thing'. He was speaking of the puppet itself and simply not being clear. Still, the attentiveness in the pale white eyes of his opponent would tell him that the boy was awake and without missing a beat Tamwyn would rebound from his location and make to clock the boy on the back of the neck. The impact would be made to be non-lethal but it should definitely be enough to knock him out. After that occurred he would turn toward where Yui had gone and see a pale form rising into the sky. Had she quit the battle? Abandoned him? As well as her damn kage just like that? The shape would move toward them, in the direction toward Kumogakure and Tamwyn would look at the shape only a hundred or so meters in the air and barely make out Seid's unconscious form. He could also see a blonde blur riding atop the dragon and recognized the hair of one Yui Kotoshura, it looked like she was quitting the field and taking Seid from the battle. He didn't know if he should thank her or be mad at her. On one hand, she had willingly abandoned them to fight the rest of the battle on their own. She couldn't know Masaru was out cold and that it was just Tamwyn now.

Still, on the flipside, she had just removed his opponents only hostage from play, while Tamwyn still had three. The time to act was now. Still utilizing the speed from his Lightning Release Armor, the white haired man would make the gather all three unconscious forms of Nyguyen, Ari, and Chikamatsu and sit them up upon another roof. This one was only a one story building and it had a flat roof. He put the three shinobi in the center, back to back to back and sitting up. They weren't tied up though, he had no rope. Then the Chunin would return to the building he had been on previously and start gathering up the tiny metal balls that had scattered from the collision with the puppet boys puppet. Once he had a good number of them he would scatter them around the roof around the three hostages and then stand behind them, a meter or so away from the nearest one, Chikamatsu. Even with the ball bearings surrounding them on the rest of the roof he would be able to escape pretty easily from an attack, but here he was safest because any attack upon with would also be an attack against her comrades, including his opponents Hokage.

Intent upon waiting patiently for his opponent, he would kneel and check Chikamatsu's belt and find a single canteen of water upon it. Standing straight the canteen casually held in his hand, he would open the lid, intent upon looking casual for his opponent for when they talked. Then he would deactivate his Lightning Release Armor in order to conserve chakra. He didn't have a whole helluva lot of the stuff and if he was going to be facing off against someone who fought against the strongest Kumogakure representative and won then he would need every scrap of it he could get. Once he was properly casual he would raise a finger and fire off a flare with Raiton chakra. It was similar to the first one he'd used to signal a medic for the girl. This one wouldn't have any kind of design in specific and just be a single, white flare. The purpose was to inform the opponent that he wanted to talk, on his terms. Once that was completed, he would wait, patiently.

Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

    Post by Data_Sora Mon Oct 19, 2020 2:15 pm

(48 hrs have passed, skipping Kimiko; tl;dr Chika is KO'd)

Chika didn't have time to react just like the first time, and upon being hit a second time by the lightning-covered ninja the electrical chakra it would flood his nerves, sending his body into shock as he felt a pain unlike what he had felt before, and the sound of snapping could be heard. Luckily for him, while he mind went under, his body would use Soft Body Manipulation to lessen the impact. It was still a knockout blow and would leave a mark, but he'd live. His body went from a ragdoll to a proper limp, the electricity having tensed his muscles for a couple seconds, with his eyelids dropping a little, though they'd stay open. It was just a reflex though, years of wearing contacts that protected his eyes from drying out when he fell asleep when he worked, making it look like he was watching the new battle begin to unfold, fitting for one bearing the all seeing eyes.

It was probably for the best though given the poor matchup he hadn't expected, his natural skillset wasn't built for one on one, head to head combat; he was made for ranged crowd control combat, to stay far away if possible. As he drifted off into the realm of unconsciousness, the image of the Tsuchikage's bow came to mind once again. He would probably never be string enough to use a bow himself, but his puppets...that was a possible prospect. He just...needed...more...

    {No I'm not doing CP, Chika is KO'd.}

Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

Post by Kimiko Tue Oct 20, 2020 1:36 pm

Kimiko saw the flare come up, and sighed to herself. So it seemed that he wasn't going to be particularly interested in coming to her. That meant that her setup had been pointless. It was fine enough though. She didn't want to stay here and keep wasting chakra, so if her enemy wanted to negotiate, she'd respect the terms of the talk. After all, maybe she'd be able to convince him to leave as well. Still, it was just as likely she'd need to fight, so she began to put her mind back to work.

Exiting the building, Kimiko ended up thinking of a second plan. If she couldn't utilize the element of surprise how she wanted to, then she'd take her traps with her. Sending some of her clones to go and grab the door clone, she piled up the Path bodies onto the door. Then she had two of the weaker clones take either end of the door and use it as a make shift stretcher. The clone that had been turned into a pile of rubble disappeared, returning its chakra to Kimiko.

That left the clone that had been pretending to be the real Kimiko for quite some time. It used the transformation jutsu to turn into someone else as well, this time becoming a carbon copy of Akihiro, although about a centimeter of height difference, slightly taller than his real life counterpart. Still, she was going to use his renown to her favor. There weren't many people who didn't know the name Akihiro.

"Akihiro" handed back the explosive tags he'd removed from the false Seid, and Kimiko removed the kunais from the bodies, reclaiming her weapons. Putting the tags she'd been given back onto the handles, she bundled them in the places they belonged so she could easily remember which were which. She didn't re seal any yet, but that was just so she could conserve chakra.

Then, heading towards the flare they began their journey, Kimiko, two of her clones as bodyguards, "Akihiro", and two of her clones carrying the door holding the 3 Paths of Pain. When they approached the building, the entourage held down the paths and leapt to the top of the roof.

Both Kimiko's and "Akihiro's" sharingan were active, although the clones were not. Moving to the corner of the roof, setting down the door/stretcher the clones began to off load the 3 Paths of Pain bodies, stabbing them briefly to show that they weren't clones. As they were dead bodies, it was likely that Tamwyn would want them back for his village, or for Seid. Bodies held a lot of information in them, information that people tended to try and keep secret. Many villages employed squads for the express purpose of destroying any bodies before they got into the hands of their enemies.

"Good, ya brought something to trade." Kimiko said, noticing Nyguyen, Chika, and Ari. Internally, she was sweating a little bit, that meant she was the actual last fighter on their side. What the hell had happened? She fought Seid and took him out, but it seemed like every single other member of the party had lost theirs. Luckily she'd managed to convince Yui to leave, or this would likely be a much more difficult scenario.

"Akihiro" smiled his signature smile. "Judging by your hostages, I'd assume you're willing to negotiate? Here are the terms. You give us our shinobi. We'll let you return to Kumo with these bodies," he gestured to the Paths of Pain "that dearest Yui forgot to take with her when she picked up your friend. Once the trade is done, you'll leave Iwagakure. Even Yui had the sense to do that. Your ally is down for the count-"

"And it'll be better for Iwagakure in the long term. If we lose here, Konoha brings down its full might to bear soon after, and there won't be mercy. If we win, our position for negotiations with Iwa is a lot better, and more people will live as a result. Yui agreed it was better if ya lose this battle. It's why she left. Plus, Kumo is basically declaring war on Konoha by joinin' this fight. We don't have any beef with ya yet. This is an internal struggle between Konoha and Iwa, and assisting a rebellion against Konoha isn't good for relations either. Leave now, and it's all water under the bridge." Kimiko interrupted.

Akihiro raised an eyebrow at the interruption, but still smirked, and gestured a hand at Kimiko, as if to agree with her. "So then, what will it be?" Of course, even if he agreed, none of them could know what was about to happen in the near future. Kimiko was sincere in her attempts to keep things peaceful and hurt as few people as possible, but she had no clue that true world war was upon them in the following weeks and months.

Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

Post by Valen Minamoto Fri Oct 23, 2020 6:56 am

Tamwyn would wait, patiently for his enemy counterpart to come to him. When his opponent, or in this case, opponents arrived however. He would find himself moderately surprised. There weren't many in the shinobi world that hadn't heard of Akihiro, and had at least a decent description of the teenager. To find him here was surprising, and painted this situation in a much poorer light than he had initially thought he was in. The woman next to him was recognizable as well, Kimiko Uchiha might not be as well known as Akihiro, but she had her own reputation as well. If Seid had to fight these two, than it was no wonder his comrade had lost so quickly. Tamwyn was confident he might be able to match up against Kimiko, and if the man was alone he might be willing to give a try at fighting Akihiro just to see how he'd fare if the fight wasn't to the death. Together though? He wouldn't be willing to take on that one on one fight on any given day. Not at his current level of power.

Kimiko was the first to speak, which honestly surprised him. Akihiro was definitely the more powerful of the duo and he figured he would be doing the talking. This train of thought was confirmed however when the man did begin talking. Tamwyn kept himself relaxed, and calm. It made no sense to be tense, no matter who were talking to. This could still be a ploy to ambush him, and he wouldn't have much of a chance if it was. However being all tensed up about such a thing would only make him react slower, and make mistakes. If he was going to get through this, then he would have to be calm, and relaxed. As the man with eyes of black on red spoke, telling him that they could trade their respective packages, Tamwyn's hostages, for the corpses of Kumogakure shinobi. Those corpses were important, and the yellow eyes Chunin knew it, his own hostages were important to them and he knew that too.

When Kimiko interrupted 'Akihiro' Tamwyn's eyes would dart to her, watching her shoulders carefully for any signs of movement. If they moved, it would start there. He also unfocused his eyes a bit, to take in all possible movement in his field of vision. If any of those clones of Kimiko, or Kimiko herself or Akihiro moved, he would see it immediately. She spoke of two possible situations, where he successfully pushes them back and forces a withdraw. Then Konoha simply sends in the 'A' team rather than the lot they'd sent this time. Or he withdrew, gave them the victory and let them have a position of strength to negotiate from. A position which would ultimately lead to Iwagakure's independence. There was a great many things that didn't add up with that scenario. Hadn't the Rokudaime given Iwagakure back to them legally? According to Masaru she had. Why then would Konoha attack, only to negotiate their independence later? Was the current Hokage incompetent? Simply greedy? For that matter, so far as Tamwyn knew, the Hokage was at his feet unconscious. Which meant neither Kimiko nor Akihiro even had the authority to make such a promise.

Another thing that didn't 'add' up. Was why were they even pretending Tamwyn could take both of them on and push them back? He was one man against two of the most powerful shinobi within Konohagakure's walls. He might be willing to try his hand against them individually, might being the operative word in Akihiro's case, but he'd have no chance against both at once. The odds were simply stacked too high in his favor. What if then he wasn't dealing with 'both' of them? Tamwyn's yellow eyes narrowed in speculation as his eyes focused as Akihiro asked him what it would be. He looked at the young man, eyes on his shoulders by vision just as marginally unfocused as before. Why did only Kimiko make clones? Why hadn't Akihiro? That thought didn't make sense to the man as he considered what had been said. He couldn't imagine why someone would make their fighting partner make so many and split their chakra so many ways. Although, Nyguyen had made a large amount of clones with seemingly little effort. So it was possible Kimiko could do the same. In the end, there wasn't a way to be sure one way or the other.

Also in the end, it didn't matter. Even if that was a clone of Kimiko, and not truly Akihiro, she still had clones set up whereas he did not. She had the advantage here because he had to remain where he was to be protected by the unconscious forms of Ari, Chikamatsu, and Nyguyen. He couldn't really do anything here anymore. If he did somehow win and pushed them back. He felt confident in 'Akihiro's' claim that Konoha would just send a stronger force to wipe out Iwagakure. He couldn't stop that from happening because frankly, Kumogakure couldn't babysit them forever. If the man was correct and Konoha did negotiate Iwagakure's independence, then at least they would win out in the end. If not, then at least they more probably be alive. So with a sigh of resignation he would nod his head. "I don't have any good options it seems. I'll have to take you at your word. Two of these are injured, the girl with white hair was hit hard by one of my techniques. I hadn't intended for it to be quite as...effective as it was and I regret that. She'll need a proper hospital, soon. The...I think it's a boy." He would say, referring to Chikamatsu. "Was just hit pretty badly when I saw Yui leave. Couldn't risk leaving a conscious enemy behind me and all. He'll need one too. The Hokage is more or less fine, Masaru knocked him around a bit and he fell unconscious after." He would say, giving them a rundown of what had happened to his 'hostages' up until that point.

He was honest, including about Ari and how it had been him that had damaged her so badly. He hadn't intended for the damage to be that back and when he spoke of the girl his features could be seen as regretful. He rather disliked conflict like this, but it was their job, and he could either deal with it, or quit. "As talented as I am, I can't carry three corpses back to Kumogakure, I can't seal them into a scroll and I don't have enough arms to do it by main force..Too awkward. Is there anyway I could convince you to seal them into a scroll for me?" He would ask Akihiro with a raised eyebrow. He had no talent in the art of Fuinjutsu, mainly because he never explored it. However it was possible someone with Akihiro's skill level of the shinobi arts had learned it. Provided he agreed and proceeded to do so Tamwyn would hold up a hand to be tossed the scroll, which if tossed to him, would be caught. Because unlike the writer of this post Tamwyn can actually fucking catch something tossed to him.

With that done successfully, Tamwyn would nod to both 'Akihiro' and the Kimiko standing next to him, assuming it was the real one. "I don't really know what to say at this point. I do hope both the injured shinobi make it alright. Otherwise, I just hope I'm not putting my trust in the wrong place when it comes to Iwagakure..I don't have any real choice in the matter now, farewell." He would say, before dashing away, making sure to clear the ball bearings in his first leap and allowing them to reclaim their downed shinobi. He would keep his guard up the entire time and provided he wasn't stopped, would quit the field.  Heading back toward Kumogakure.

    [Attempting Exit]

    Tamwyn withdraws from the ToW.

Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW) - Page 2 Empty Re: Battle for Meijing City: Seid vs Kimiko (ToW)

Post by Kimiko Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:21 am

"Akihiro" went to go and seal up the paths, but Kimiko stopped him. "Hold on a sec." She pulled back the collars of their shirts slightly, removing the explosive tags she'd stuck to them, and putting them back in her pouches. She winked slightly at Tamwyn. "I'll need these back then."

Akihiro simply patted her back. "Hm. I don't have a scroll, but...." he went and grabbed Kimiko's hand, unwrapping one end of her leather bracer. The cloth bandage would have to serve the purpose. Placing a hand on each of the paths and on the bandage, he sealed them into the cloth one by one. "Alright. That should do."

He tossed the bandage to Tamwyn, and Kimiko's door clone released its transformation, turning back into a full clone of herself. "Don't worry. Your faith is in the right place. I tried ta get your ally to listen to reason, but he insisted on fighting it out, and that didn't work out very well." the clone that had previously been a door said.

If it wasn't obvious at first that Kimiko and "Akihiro" had used their brains and set up layers of defenses, then it would be by now. Tamwyn had made a good call. When Tamwyn finally left, Kimiko dismissed all of her clones, and set about waking up Nyguyen. When that was done, the two of them would get Ari and Chika some help from qualified medics, and then they'd need to speak to Masaru and get a full negotiation on the table.

She filled him in on the details of her fight with Seid, as well as the details of the deal with Yui, how she'd listened to reason, and the details with Tamwyn as well.

    ---
    Claiming victory, and exiting
