The night is dark and full of terrors. More so tonight if you’re a member of the Yakuza. Good news is, no killing tonight. At least not if it could helped. Tamwyn stood on a rooftop, cloak flying in the moonlit night. His piercing yellow eyes looked down at the part of town he was interested in. The part that had a bunch of Yakuza meeting up for a dinner in a sushi restaurant. They were in charge of the local outfit and were the ones to take down for the purpose of the mission. The pale haired man stood there, feeling like some kind of comic book vigilante hero. He wanted to start saying ‘Nana-nana-nana-nana’ for some odd reason but he repressed the urge. It felt childish and stupid for some reason. Near him would be Yenn, his partner and..you know he didn’t know what he was supposed to define them as. Lovers? ‘Partners’ in the romantic sense? He wasn’t sure.

Sadly, at this moment he was actually supposed to be quiet so he couldn’t just ask outright. Maybe when the fighting started. Either way their targets were down below and getting settled in to eat. It would be the perfect time to move down and take them down now, non lethally of course. Stepping back from the edge, where he would somehow not be seen like a giant fucking billboard, go comic book style heroes, he would turn toward his violet eyed partner, his voice quiet, almost whisper like. “They’re in there, sitting down. You gonna be okay? Last mission you got sick.” He asked, his voice and eyes touched with concern as he reached a hand out to lay upon her shoulder. He would have it there for a moment before stepping even closer and wrapping her in a hug, wanting to feel her in his arms for a few moments all of a sudden. He’d move to give her a gentle kiss before stepping away with a small, sheepish smile. “Sorry, I just couldn’t resist..” He would say before turning serious again and jerking his head toward the restaurant, eyebrow rising as if to ask “You ready?”

Yenn was on a rooftop looking out over the city, Tamwyn standing on the edge of the flat topped building with his cloak billowing in the wind. He looked to be the picture of a storybook hero as he surveyed their intended targets down below them. Yenn couldn’t help but feel drawn to him at that moment, feeling inexplicably as though she should lean against his leg in some sort of pose for a promotional poster or something. She shook the thought from her head as he stepped down from the edge and made his way over to her. They had been successful once again on their previous mission, so of course that meant more work. The Yakuza had to be dealt with and Yenn and Tamwyn were not the heroes the city needed, but the ones that the Yakuza deserved. The Yakuza had their hands in everything and they had to go.

As Tamwyn laid his hand on her leather clad shoulder she would turn to meet his yellow gaze with her violet one. His question was not unfair, she had gotten sick during the last mission, and if it hadn’t been for him being overqualified for taking down those slavers the mission probably would have gone south fast. Even though the question was fair though, she couldn’t help but feel minorly annoyed at it, not at him of course since she could plainly see and hear the concern he felt. But rather at the idea that she was weak and incapable. Which was a creation of her own mind and years of demons telling her it was true. She would shake her head as she answered, doing her best to convince him of something she wasn’t even sure was true. “I’m fine. I think I just ate something bad. Probably the secret sauce.” She smiled to give more weight to her weak joke, leaning into his embrace and sighing happily. For a person who had a built in biological mechanism to discourage people from touching her, she spent quite a lot of time in his arms. And thankfully it seemed that at least with him her aegis didn’t go off, so she could enjoy his touch without the fear of burning him. She returned his kiss and tried to hold on to that moment for as long as she could. Eventually though duty called and she nodded to his question. “Let’s go deliver some justice.” She said seriously while pulling on her gloves to make sure they were secure and making a silent plea to her stomach to behave this time.

The dark kni-I mean Tamwyn, would nod and smirk at his companions comment about just having eaten something bad. Perhaps he should avoid taking her to that barbecue place for a time. That was alright with him. He could and would gladly let her pick the place without any subliminal hints. The thought did occur to him that she perhaps had chosen the restaurant he had stated he would choose so that he would be content. He would have to take steps to dissuade her of that in case that was what happened. Still at the moment it was time to get down to business. Nodding his head in agreement at going down to deliver some 'justice Tamwyn would drop down, his cloak billowing out and following him like some kind of caped crusader. He would land well, knees bending slightly at the impact to disperse the force of it.

At that point he would stand up straight and begin to walk forward. His steps carefully measured. His demeanor would be that of a predator, stalking closer to its prey and his eyes would glow a brilliant yellow as the yakuza members standing guard reached into their cheap suits for hidden knives. Tamwyn would let them get their knives out and even allow them to try to stab him. Something he didn't usually do. In response he would snap his hand up to the outside of the left guards wrist and divert the knife away and forcing the man's arm to cross into the right ones path. Then Tamwyn would step aside. Effectively disengaging. The two would turn and come after him. More of their brethren coming from within the restaurant.

Tamwyn was intentionally allowing them to come after him. He was purposely not knocking them out. Or even using his techniques. Thus far, any missions they had taken so far it had been Tamwyn himself knocking out the targets, or killing them. Yenn had yet to display a violent action around him. Unless you count cauterization. Which he didn't. It was time for that to change though. So on this mission it would be Yenn taking out these guys. It wasn't a kill mission, and he wouldn't have made her do this on one. Not yet. Baby steps, all she had to do was knock these guys out. By now all of the Yakuza were out of the restaurant and after him and he was constantly weaving around them and avoiding their knives. He'd dodge around them and disengage, moving away for a stretch before letting them re-engage to keep them interested. This would give Yenn plenty of opportunities to strike at the foes.

Provided she eventually knocked them out. Tamwyn would step over to her and move to hug her tight, moving to capture her in a deep kiss as well that lasted for a time before he broke it and smiled at her. "That was good work my dear. Now let's go home until our next mission shall we?" he'd say his actions clearly congratulatory based on his tone. Provided she agreed he would nod and take her by the hand before leading her home. A small smile on his features as he thought of the step she had taken tonight. It may have been a small one on the road of a shinobi, but it was important all the same.

Yenn wasn’t quite as cool as Tamwyn, so she didn’t jump from the rooftop. She probably could have had she been wearing different shoes, but she wasn’t overly confident in her ability to not break her ankles as she landed. So instead she would climb down and only jump from the last couple feet. If everything went according to plan though by the time she arrived on the ground Tamwyn would have all the Yakuza hogtied or something hilariously similar. Everything did not go according to plan however. What she saw when her feet touched the ground was the man who had easily defeated the Wind Demon suddenly pretending he didn’t know how to fight.

She would stare incredulously for a few moments as he danced and dodged around the thugs, unsure of what she was looking at. She knew that they weren’t supposed to be killing them, so it made sense to her that he wasn’t going all out, but from what she could see he wasn’t even trying to hit them. Just effortless parrying blows and moving weapons away from himself. Miraculously he managed to keep their attention as she stood there, she was essentially a free target in her confusion. Eventually though she realized that if she didn’t help one of the thugs might get a lucky shot in so she stepped towards them and outstretched her hands, holding still while she channeled lightning through both palms and into the six nearest enemies. While none of them would be killed from it, being hurt was an entirely different matter and her nose would wrinkle as her stomach turned at the distinct smell of burning hair and singed skin. Relying on Tamwyn to keep them interested as she found a new spot to electrocute more Yakuza, and hold on to her stomach as she fought the rising urge to vomit, she would move slowly through the group of them. Finding a new place and channeling Raiton, pausing and taking a few deep breaths and willing herself to do it again.

After a fairly awkward few rounds of this she would finally stop as the last of the Yakuza fell to the ground quite unconscious. She stood slightly hunched over as Tamwyn hugged her, leaning heavily into his arms and resting her head on his chest. She wasn’t surprised that the whole ordeal had made her feel ill, it was one of the more horrible things that had ever happened to her so it was no shock that when she had to do it to someone else she would unconsciously react poorly to it. She would return his kiss eagerly, grateful for one of her favourite distractions. As he cheerfully congratulated her she would smile weakly, her face pale and a thin sheen of sweat across her brow. “Thanks, I don’t feel very good about it though. I feel pretty sick actually, so yeah going home sounds perfect. Hopefully the next mission will involve less violence?” She took his hand and left the shady alley as quick as she could, trying to put the memory and smell of it behind her.
