Culture/Lore: The Lions of the Northern Dunes have dwelled in the deep recesses of the Land of Wind for generations. After being driven from their original homes in the land of Iron by hunters who would have eradicated them for sport, the lionfolk traveled far into the desert where they have lived ever since.
The Lions of the Northern Dunes are a diverse people of warriors, shamans, and peaceful folk who simply want to live their lives. Tales of their deeds reached some of the humans who also called the Land of Wind their home. A small group of the Yoru clan began to trade with them and soon, the two groups became fast friends. Some of the more battle-inclined people of the Yoru clan formed contracts of summoning with the lions, and from then on, it became a tradition that one member of each family would hold that contract.
The Lions of the Northern Dunes still thrive after the destruction of the small group of the Yoru clanfolk, thought hey still wish they had been able to react faster to the calamity that befell them. To this day, the Lions of the Northern Dunes train for the time when they will be able to avenge their fallen allies.
