Getting the Fence Up

Put up a Fence:

Looking at the numerous rails and posts, Shin knew this process would take a bit longer than he initially thought. Setting up a fence around the perimeter of Shigeo Matuoka’s property would likely take the majority of the day. Shin had the benefit of starting early, well before noon and would have enough daylight hours to have the fence up before daylight hours were over. The one other thing that was beneficial to Shin’s venture was that Shigeo’s property didn’t require too much fencing. The man mainly required it around the front and looping to the left side of the house and reaching the back.

After an hour and a half had passed, Shin had already placed the posts down, each appropriately and equally distanced from the last one. With the posts double checked to be firmly already in place and remeasured, Shin looked towards the rails that were to be put up. This was definitely the part of setting up the fence that Shin would enjoy, for he needed to make sure when the rails were nailed in that they remained on an equal level to the other side where they were to be nailed in as well. The next few hours would go by doing just that, with Shin occasionally checking back in to ensure that the fence remained uniform from a visual perspective. For now, Shin was done. Tomorrow, however, he would need to return to paint the fence for Shigeo.
