The audience chamber in the Royal palace was a place that was meant to be bustling with activity but as of late had fallen early still. With the mysterious disappearance of the monarce that was meant to occupy it the room had fallen into disuse, though the fact not a speck of dust remained indicated it was at least being maintained in her absence.
Without any warning a flash of illumination bright enough to be disornatating if anyone had actually been around to witness it filled the dimmed hall. As quickly as the light had appeared it had vanished, replaced with the contours of a woman that virtually anyone in the country would recognize on sight.
Though she was wearing a much simpler outfit than her usual elegant dresses or knightly armor it did nothing to diminish the woman’s radiance. With little more on than a yellow shirt, green shorts and boots she looked more like someone you’d expect to see going on a summer picnic at the local park and not at all like she was returning from another plane of existence. Given that she had been taken against her will without a scrap of her belongings, perhaps it could be counted as a blessing for both her and the nation's dignity that she had emerged wearing any clothing at all.
For Ryuko it felt simultaneously like she had been gone for a lifetime and yet no time at all. It was impossible for her to tell exactly how long she’d been gone without first consulting with someone. She could only pray to Hakkin that not much time had passed on this end.
The fact she had been ripped away in the early stages of a grade war between the major nations had left her with a drive to do everything in her power to return to this place where she belonged. Because it was not usually a realm meant for mortal man (or woman in this case) she was left with only a vague recollection of her experiences while away and a litany of questions, many of which she knew would go without answers. For now at least she would start by tackling the ones that were within her reach.
“Guards bring me someone who can give me a status update immediately.” She bellowed her orders at the top of her lungs without hesitation knowing that there had to be at least one person stationed nearby that would hear her. They might doubt her identity at her sudden reappearance but that would quickly be swept aside with the presence of any capable sensor. As a being with two souls in one body her chakra signature would be virtually impossible to duplicate.
