    Darkness.

No, that was not correct, darkness was not filled with small holes. Darkness did not have cool spots of green, purple and blue, passionate reds and vibrant yellows. If focused, the lights could be made out more, but it was as if they did not want to be found. But they did not feel hostile in any way. Reaching out to try to touch the lights, an unfamiliar hand that came forward, causing pause.

The hand was of a silver substance, the tips of it's fingers a crystal coloring. But...her hands were porcelain, were they not? Why did these ones seem to respond to her thoughts? She would flex her fingers, and watch as the mysterious hand would move in kind. Strange. She would then try to move her other hand, this time seeing it made of wood and in the middle of exploding, frozen in time yet constantly emitting light. This was even stranger...was she dreaming?

    Who was she?

Upon thinking those words, memories spilled forth, vague, hazy memories that seemed to be of her life, or of several lives, she was not sure. Images of strange vehicles and bloodlines, no bloodline seemingly connected to another as she looked upon buildings; no, skyscrapers. She could see the progression of time, how everything kept changing yet she stayed the same.

    Always the same.

And then, after a brief flash of light as she sat in a café, the memories cut out, blackness. They stayed that way for what felt like several minutes before she was herself again, only this time she was young again. The memories began once more, growing up inside the walls of Iwagakure. Reawakening her ability to manifest crystals on a much grander scale then she could before. Watching as something inside her caused the crystals to violently explode with such force that it hospitalized her for a week. How she was special, a breed of person born in very rare situations. But she did not like being special, so she had snuck into an outgoing caravan, months before the fall of Iwa. How she had made one final crystal in the land of Keys to remove all memories of her home, not because it was too good or too bad, but because that is what she knew.

She recalled her memories as she lived as a traveler, using her natural abilities to locate clay for makeshift creations, her crystal generation for coin, and her calligraphic work for nobles who would hire her. Fifteen years of travel, fifteen years of not knowing where she was from as she made due. Some people had made the mistake of trying to capture her. five minutes later they were mothing more then blasted bits six feet under. She then found out about her home, Iwagakure, and made a pilgrimage to see it for herself and to gain techniques that were unique to her lineages. She met a man who was like herself in many ways, yet was someone who she knew she would never see eye to eye with. She had met his wife.

    His wife.

    Masaru's Wife.

She could not visualize the image of his wife as she sat at that café. That memory was just out of reach, like what happened at the previous café. The first café she had the powers of crystal yet she had no way to defend herself. the second café she had the power of explosions and crystallization yet could not defend herself. She needed more. She needed more power, a way to become invincible. A way where no one could harm her again. A way where she could revolutionize the world to what she had seen in her memories so that harm may never come to her again.

She was Diana Elena Moneta, and she would endure, just like she always had.

She looked back at the hands that were in front of her, one of steel and crystal, the other of wood and blast. She looked to the memories before her, and of the most recent ones, the feeling of preservation. Crystal Preservation. A way for them to keep her body safe as she recovered from whatever put her down, or more likely had killed her. She'd clutch the hand with steel and the wooden one would change to replace it, her resolve hardened as she focused her mind once more, channeling her chakra to that of the desired effects. Crystal to change her body back to a living state, blast to release her from her prison, and steel to protect herself from the resulting damages.

A loud sound would be heard from the Korikane Clan district's Hall of Leaders; a brilliant blast of light shooting out from building that stored past leaders for various reasons. Some were stored there as they had passed, wanting to preserve their bodies as a reminder of their legacy. Some were their as prisoners, reminders of the dangers of their clan's history. And some were stored in the hopes that they would return in times of great need.

Diana fell to the ground, her body feeling heavier then normal as she tried to regain her bearings. Pulling herself up, she'd take a look around and would see the ground surrounded by crystal shards; likely what she was stored within. She would then turn to see the preservation crystal in full, and would read the plaque next to the now destroyed marquise prism.

May she return to us in happier days

It was heartwarming to see the plaque, but once she was finished reading, several guards within the Hall had arrived, their faces in shock as to who was before them. But they looked less shocked at her then as to something about her. And that's when she saw the reflection of herself on one of the crystals; she was covered in a dark blue steel with silver and black accents, with the only thing covering her head being a metal mask over her face. She went to take off the mask, but when she touched it the mask instead just melted back into her body.

Her new power, but for how long?

It didn't matter, she would find a way to make it permanent. Envisioning her old clothes the metal covering her would melt away, revealing her original outfit that she was stored in. Diana then took on a stern expression as she addressed the guards.

"Your Kessho no Hime has awoken, and there is much to do."

    {Exit}
