One step at a time

Kanara was nervous. After all a natural reaction she thougt to herself. Not only was she to attend at the hokages office, but also without being told the reason. While Kanara knew that she hadnt been doing anything wrong, not knowing the reason put her on edge. Arriving now at the entrance she asked about the reason for being called here, showing the letter towards the reception, as she got told to take a seat at a nearby waiting area. Walking slowly towards the area where she finally sat down, she could feel the eyes of the guards laying upon her. Were they looking at her becasue she was just here, or was there more to it? Did they see something in her, that she didnt see in herself? Slightly shaking her head, Kanara supressed the urge to turn tails and run. While she certainly wasnt weak in the defninition, she likely wouldnt have a chance against the guards, which were likely dozens, if they wanted her to stay. So for now all she could do was to wait, and return the stare that the two guards at the entrance were giving her, as she waited to be summoned by whoever wanted her.

Tengoku sat behind his desk. There was a great deal happening in the world over the last couple of years and some things had been overlooked. Having caught up on the majority of the work however a notice had come across his desk along with his scheduled appointments. It seemed the exchange program with a certain Madrigal Hyuga had not responded to any messages or sent so much as an update to anyone in two years. Tengoku recalled his interaction with the woman known as Sayuri and would frown. He suspected there was more at work here but had not known madrigal personally. He couldn't jump to conclusions. However he would write out a note reading as follows.

"Dear Lady Kitsuki Kurahasa

It has come to my attention that one Madrigal Hyuga has failed to report in to either friends and family or on a professional level for some time. I would appreciate it immensely if you could look into the matter for me. After your colleagues hostile behavior at the summit towards my person I am filled with immense concern for his well being.

With that he would send it off with a messenger bird with instructions for it to be delivered straight to Kitsuki. He supposed his message could get intercepted but he would let time tell for now. Instead he would tell his assistant to escort the next appointment up. With the man having left the room a weary Tengoku would settle back in his chair. The office was fairly plain with a filing system on either side of the room and a long window along the wall behind him. On a stand to the side were three swords of quality design on a stand. Polished and maintained. Tengoku himself was in white robes with yellow trim with his white hair hanging about his shoulders and chest. His wolf like ears poking straight up as he listened. The robes themselves revealed enough of his ankle to reveal golden rings with feather designs in them around them. As well as having no sleeves to reveal similar golden rings around his wrists and upper arms. Kara's stamp on them ever so slightly to show they were her design. Tengokus amber eyes shifting to the open door as he watched for this Kanara individual to enter. There was a great deal to discuss including this Kaiju Tengoku had not witnessed.

As the hokages assistant reached Kanara, he let her knew that the Hokage would see her now. As her eyes slightly widened, thought races through her head. The Hokage was going to see her now? Her, an unimportant genin that barely had shown any talent yet, except for being fast. Standing up with slightly trembling knees she followed the Hokages assistant, as her hand went into her ninja bag, bringing forth a small mirror as she looked at herself in the reflection. She was presentable. However she didnt feel so. After all she expected to be called here to speak with someone important, but not the most important and infuential person in Konoha, both her absolute superior, as well as the ruler of this country she called home. The longer the duo walked through the building, the more anxious Kanara grew as she went through the things that she may had done wrong. Letting the mirror she held absently until now dissapear back into her bag, the assistant stopped and knocked on a door, before opening it.

Slowly entering the room, the first thing Kanra noticed were the amber coloured eyes that looked at her immediately. By the time she was fully inside the room and the door behind her closed, Kanara forced herself to be as professional as she could be.

"H-Hokage-sama.. I- I mean paladin of Konoha..."

Following her greeting she bowed to him, as she added in a more firm voice then before: "K-Kanara Uchiha, reporting, lord 8th." Waiting after her last sentence, Kanara decided tht it was best if she first heard the reason she was called in, what charges were pressed agianst her, before she would try to defend herself.

Tengoku would watch the young lady enter his office. He could hear her heartbeat racing and smell the sweat forming. It was normal to be nervous at her age he supposed. Rumor had it she specialized in speed but what would one expect from an Uchiha? He wondered if he got some sick pleasure from her being nervous? Like he was proud to have that effect. He figured that wasn't right so he would smile softly. He had tired rings under his eyes as the weight of the office placed on anyone. Still he would nod his head to her greeting.

"Have a seat Kanara. Take a moment to gather yourself. Please....call me Tengoku."

With his right hand he would indicate the chair across the desk from him. His amber eyes seeming to see through everything. As if nothing could be kept from him. It was common knowledge Tengoku had been an expert tracker nin before he was the Hokage. A part of the police force during his time as Jounin. Rather successful in a support role but no one seemed to know what he was capable of at this point. Still he would open her folder and review the contents. From mission reports to general known stats. Her chart almost hardlined into speed and coordination on one of the hexagon symbols to the right of her picture. Of course her secrets weren't revealed there...just general known information. After a moment he would figure he waited long enough for her to settle. His wolf like ears twitching to hear any changes in her heartbeat.

"Recently there was a world altering event. The Indiana Kaiju that decimated a neutral city, Killed some of our best and attempted to kill everyone present. I am told you were involved in bringing it down somehow. Despite the dangers you seem relatively unscathed. Could you elaborate on that for me?"

Taking the offered seat slowly, Kanara peeked behind her. No guards..., was her first thought, but then again, this was the Hokages office. One of the most powerful men in the entire country. Whatever she must have done to get his attention couldnt bee too serious then. Slightly relaxing she sunk in her chair as the amber coloured eyes followed her movements. Somehow, either through fear or caution her sharingan awakened, causing Kanara to relax a bit more. Seeing him through the slightly red coloured vision she had now, he seemed to be as human as she, Kanara, was herself. Glancing at the table in front of him she couldnt see much, but what she saw was enough to give her the hint that likely the document was about her.

Listening to Tengokus question she remembered the details as he went on with his speech. By the time it ended, Kanara put her hands together, suddenly feeling cold. Ignoring the feeling for now she looked at the ground and thougth shortly. Was she about to recieve punishment for being at the wrong time at the wrong place? Slowly looking back up at Tengoku she said: "I- i just helped some fellow uchiha... I- I dont rememebr who it was but aside to Zenaku there also was someone else with a susanoo... They seemed to know each other..." Thinking shortly she added: "We... We discovered something that looked like a weakspot in this... thing... . So we started a coordinated attack and actually dealt damage to it, although it didnt like this very much, so we, eh yuichi and me, retreated after that while Zenaku stayed." The hokage surely allready knew all of that beforehand, so lying about anything wasnt a bright idea for Kanara. However likely he didnt know what she found in the city so Kanara, now biting her lip, stayed quiet. The item she discovered was her neat little suvenier from the city and she wouldnt let anybody take it from her.

Jutsus used: Sharingan (no cost since a social setting?)

Tengoku would tense a little as the sharingan was activated in front of him. Feeling that dark energy pulsing so close to him. He wasn't sure why she had activated it. Did the Uchiha consider him an enemy? He knew he had dislike for some of them due to the issues they had with staying in the damn village or not threatening it. Their clan had both led the village at times and threatened to destroy it. He had wondered how the majority of the clan had taken his appointment with no lineage behind him. Some likely doubting his appointment but respecting Nyguyen enough to let him be. With the man gone would the clan act against him now? Would they send this seventeen year old girl to test him? The active Sharingan made him nervous and a frown would spread across his face as he glanced back at the paper listening to her story. However one part would stand out a little more for him. A name aside from Zenakus. He would wait until she was finished before those amber eyes would return to her. Leaning back in his seat before he would reply to her. Cautious about that sharingan and clearly displeased with it.

"I see. Did you know Yuichi once attempted to flee the village? They were caught just outside having received a light wound and brought back for treatment... Now their loyalty is constantly in question. It was a mistake that may haunt them for years to come. What is your relation with them and your opinion of them?"

This was an interesting question to broach. If they threw Yuichi under the bus quickly and abandoned them even if they were allies before...it could reflect poorly...if they defended a friend within reason it could reflect well. Or it could if they were too adamant raise questions of Kanaras loyalty. He wasn't against granting Uchiha more responsibility but he had to know they were at least loyal to the village. The fact that the Uchiha made a unified attack so effectively was both to be expected and a concern for Tengoku. Satomi was likely the other Uchiha other than Zenaku. However he would reserve judgment until after the question was answered. This was an interview after all. Despite his fear of the activated sharingan in his office he would give off an appearance of calm. Even if he was anything but.

Kanara stared most of the time to the ground as she heard Tengoku talk about Yuichi. During her listening, she startet to slightly shiver, her hands being ice cold now and her face having an evenpaler complecion that it had usually. It were his eyes. The eyes that seemingly were looking right through her. They reminded Kanara of her. The person that took everything and would continue to do so until she had reached her goal.

Speaking now, still looking to the ground and shivering, Kanara answered: "I-I didnt know... But i like Yuichi... he is a good friend, you know? H-He helped me... kinda... At l-least h-he tried..." Looking back up she brough one of her fingers to her eyes before saying: "He made me s-stronger... you know" The moment their gazes met, Kanara quickly looked back to the ground. Not saying that it were in fact his eyes that scared Kanara, it was obvious by the way she avoided the eye contact witht he hokage.

Deciding to push through the feeling of slowly freezing up Kanara tried to push through it, even if her speech got worse and worse the longer she felt like this. Even more thoughts raced through her head now. Was yuichi in trouble? If so, could she help him? Would this make her a traitor for trying to help a friend? Waiting for the hokages answer the shivering girl stared at the ground for what felt like hours, even if it were just seconds.

Tengoku would listen to the nervous girl a moment before taking a breath and forcing himself to relax. The sharingan for the Uchiha as far as he could tell was like a reflexive muscle. He didn't know how it grew exactly but he knew that nervous ticks could manifest in a reflex. Perhaps this was the case for the girls sharingan. She was so nervous that her words were jumbled a little and he could hear her heart racing almost competitively. His right wolf like ear twitching at the sound. Still he would not fault her for her choice in friends. If anything that may be the solution for the issue.

"It is good to have friends Kanara. They can help you grow and shape you as a person. That said it is important that you work to being a good friend too. Both of you have to try and help each other stay on the right path...or both will fall to darkness. It's unpleasant as far as true friendship goes....but you are capable of being a good person Kanara. Everyone is...Even Yuichi. It will be harder for them to get promoted due to the incident but their help will go some distance to helping with that."

He would smile before reaching into the desk. Pulling a drawer out and then a glasses case. His perception was important to him so he would put on a pair of round reading glasses before picking up the file again. The glasses resting on the bridge of his nose as he read over her file. Scanning the page a moment before turning it. Reading through or rather skimming through seven pages of mission reports. They were all D ranks and stamped with a success stamp. So they had at least been doing work for the village within their lone capabilities. Speaking as his eyes looked over the rim of the glasses.

"Kanara Uchiha. Says here you are seventeen years old and have successfully completed a total of seven missions. D rank as they may be that is an impressive number at this stage in your career. Given you statistics....mission record and involvement in killing something that murdered Nyguyen Uchiha I am inclined to give you a probationary promotion to Chunnin. How do you feel about the idea? Are you ready for the responsibility?"

As Kanara heard him offer her a promotion her breathing stopped for a few seconds. In the room, now being entirely quiet, only Tengokus breathing and Kanaras fast paced heartbeats could be heard. Taking a glance at Tengokus eyes once more, Kanara slowly relaxed to the point that the sharingan gave place and faded to Kanaras characteristic red coloured eyes. With Tengoku now wearing glasses, it was as if his gaze was entirely different. Much more peaceful and much less liker her mothers. Slowly starting to speak she asked:

"You... You arent going to scold me for bringing myself in danger? I-I mean i will try my best at being a chunnin and to make Konoha proud." Hesitantly she added: "And the Uchiha..." While she didn tlike to do things for the Uchiha specificly, she still was a part of them.

"I-if I am honest I am not too strong or anything... I am just pretty fast, you know?" slightly and nervously chuckling she said: "well uch faster then other people to be exact..." Kanara felt uneasy of letting Tengoku in the dark about her shortcomings. After all she was what she was, and the position of a Chunnin was an important one to be certain, given the fact that they were above the genin and sometimes even team leaders.

Noticing absently that the colour slowly was getting back to her face and her body had stopped shivering, Kanara dared to look tengoku more directly in the face or rather the eyes. He really had dog ears. Yuichi hadnt been lying to her. Waiting for his answer Kanara held her breath as the emotions that got supressed, by the almost animalistic fear she had felt before, came backto her. More then any other thing she was relived. The hokage didnt seem to know about her suvenier and she didnt seem to be in any kind of trouble, at least as far as she was able to tell.

Tengoku would smile as the Sharingan faded. He was right it seemed. They moved on to something more relaxing for her and it faded away. She would question why she wasn't being scolded and he would smile and glance out the window. She stated she would make Konoha and the Uchiha proud. So she wanted to prove something to her lineage? They were a troubled people for certain. Satomi and Zenaku were both good men. So he left their tribal like clan struggles to them. Attempting not to interfere unless there was a threat to the village. Like Kimiko. Like those who had been executed by Nyguyen before Tengoku was Hokage. There was still fallout from that however. He would respond to her first inquiry though.

"Kanara by our militaries standards you are an adult. You're decision was to provide aid. Not to order others into battle. Thus it only placed you in danger. Which you survived. Unmarred for that matter. So you didn't endanger others...you provided support and you came out unscathed. There isn't anything to lecture you about. That said you will be able to take on a student now. Or lead a squad on missions. That means your decisions will reflect the outcome for the group. So don't let pride get in the way of keeping your people alive. That said."

Tengoku would close the file and remove his reading glasses. setting them back into the drawer and closing it. He would rise to his feet and place the file back along one of the walls along so many others. His work was certainly cut out for him. Now that he stood fully it was clear about one thing. He was a taijutsu practitioner. His primary focus in arhat. His height and muscles combined left him a little bulkier than the previous Hokage had been. Every muscle like a chiseled rock and yet flexible. He would glance to his swords but opt to leave them there. However he would return to his desk and pull a jug with a cork in it and a series of seals along it. The Hero water. If he were to be attacked without his weapons he would have a back up plan. Still he would nod towards the door before smiling.

"Ready to head to the grand facilities and show me what you can do? I'll race you there but be forewarned. I will be using an item during this. So feel free to go all out during the race too. If you're game."

Hearing him praise her made Kanara feel somewhat proud. Not only did the leader of her country know who she was, but also he promoted her for something she did just becasue she wanted to, back then. As he removed his glasses however, Kanara allready knew what was going to happen. Quickly closing her eyes she kept the image of Tengoku with his glasses on in her mind, hoping that she wouldnt look back at directly into them again. Hearing him get up, Kanara did the same.

The offer or order for a race was unexpected. Certainly Tengoku would be faster by a lot then her and be bored by her skills, after all he was the hokage. However Kanara didnt have the guts to tell him this and instead shyly said: "I-If you want lord 8th... I- I mean T-Tengoku... But i am likely slower then you are anyways..."

Following him if he went outside, Kanara would wait until the Hokage explained the rules to her, should there be any as she readied her sharingan as well as as guided chakra to her feet. She had done this a million times before, so doing it now was no different for her.

Tengoku would smile as he stepped forward. He listened as she agreed halfheartedly and he chuckled. This was her specialty after all and her chart actually put her on par with him for speed. He couldn't allow himself to lose to a genin or a chunnin for that matter for appearance sake but he would have to push himself. So he would pause next to her as she made her preparations and start...stretching? They were about to go for a run that was only a couple of kilometers but the Hokage was stretching out. It was just something he knew to do as a taijutsu practitioner before a work out. Besides at the speed they would be going.....it wouldn't take very long at all. Still he wouldn't take chances. When he set his feet back down the golden rings around his ankles would shimmer before expanding into greaves with a golden feather pattern along his shins. A slight electrical crackle from their activation was momentarily visible.

"Just have fun with it Kanara. You are already faster than most of the people in Konoha. I am going to have to really push myself to win. Alright...if you are ready? Lets go!"

Whether or not she did the same Tengoku was off. In a burst of speed that left a cloud of dust at the starting point and slight foot indents in the road. Tengoku however would take the most direct path. Avoiding even going up to the rooftops as he knew his village well. His golden eyes glistening as they took in his path. With A rank perception he could pick out obstacles coming out and path out the best route easily. Even spots that looked like a normal person would have difficulty getting through he would jump and place his hands above him. Narrowing his profile as he slipped right between a series of these obstacles and remaining on a true path with A rank speed. With his S rank coordination he was moving at a hundred meters per second without slowing a single moment. Of course Kanara would be able to keep up but his path would land him there slightly ahead. Once they stood before the grand Konoha training facility Tengoku would take a few deep breaths and laugh warmly. Having had fun himself.

"My goodness Kanara....the chart didn't lie about your speed. Impressive!"

As the Hokage finished his speech, the fight was on. Both of them immetiately taking off, they quickly split, Kanara choosing a more open and lest crowded route as she raced through the streets. While normally she wasnt going her top speed, this was equal to an order for her, meaning that she would go all out in order to be somewhat presentable. While she wouldnt win either way, it maybe showed the hokage on eof the skills she had and honed.

By the time the trianings ground were only a few hundret meters away, she suddenly stopped dead in her tracks as her eyes caught a glimmer of what was laying ahead. The sam eintense stare that layed upon her earlier in the hokages office. The same piercing eyes. Remembering the fateful night that changed her life again, she could nearly smell the blood and hear the footsteps slowly approaching her. A whisper telling her everything was ok and the dreadful ffeeling of knowing what was about to come next. Running away suddenly seemed like an option, and a good one at that.

While she was lost in thought she had stopped a few meters away from tengoku, his words tearing her out of her awaked nightmare. Her eyes, now seeing reality as what it was again, asked confused: "W-What lord 8th? I- i mean tengoku... I was lost in thought." As she looked to the ground again, she thought about what they would do here, and when she would escape those piercing eyes.

Tengoku would tilt his head as he heard her seem to stutter over herself. Had she not been listening? Well that was odd. He figured a meeting with him would hold her attention more. Though he supposed nerves were working her over. It reminded him when he was just being promoted to Jounin by Nyguyen. When he was still a shy boy under the protection of his twin sister. He had relied on her for so much of his life to get by..when she went under the plague he was lost for a while. Forced to grow up on his own a little. Working hard as a tracker nin within the police forces and finding his fair share of battle experience. Learning who he was as a person and who he could become. Now he was at the height of his physical strength and had to search for new paths. To find a new source of power for himself beyond his physical body. Since he had hit a wall in that regard. Though with his wakizashi in hand...there was little he couldn't handle anymore. For once he felt he held the title of Hokage appropriately. But he knew there was more out there...one version kept staring at him with their sharingan active.

Still he would smile take an exasperated breath half mocking her with the jest. Still he would shake his head before speaking. As he did he would move his right hand first to his temple. "Remember Kanara...the body can only do so much. You must also train here...keep your mind strong..." then his hand would lower to his chest and tap on it firmly. Like a freaking rock. "and you must keep your heart strong too. Power will do nothing but bring pain without compassion. Now than. I am impressed as I said with that speed. If you don't mind I would like to go inside and have you display your best jutsu for me. If we are going to start allowing you on more dangerous missions I need to know that you are capable."

With that Tengoku would nod over his shoulder before turning and heading into the main doors. Checking the map at the front desk before selecting a desert space with one creek going along a ravine between high rock walls. Stained red from the desert sands. Notating where it was he would lead the way to the room down a well lit hallway. Before finding the door and entering within. As soon as they did the smell...humidity...everything about it seemed like they had actually stepped into a desert world. When the door would close if Kanara followed him...it would mostly blend into the canyon wall. Giving the place the perfect artificial illusion. Even the creek smelled like fresh water. Tengoku would cross the canyon before leaning on the opposing rock wall and smiling. Activating his sensory on passive and watching.

"Go ahead when you are ready."

As Kanara listened to Tengoku, she couldnt shake the feeling that something terrible was going to happen. While she knew that the Hokage likely wouldnt want anything bad for her, she couldnt bring herself into trusting him fully. Too much was in his stare that reminded her about the way her mother looked at her. The fact that the nightmares showed ehr what her mother was going to do, hadnt she been stopped in time was only adding up to this fact. However his speech made sense. Of course he was right, after all he was the hokage.

As she followed him into the facility and through the door, she tried to understand what it was that she was seeing. Was she still inside the facility, or was this somme kind of weird space time ninjutus? Hearing the "door" fall shut behind her, only to see that it had disappeared was unnerving Kanara even more.

As Tengoku leaned against the wall however, seemingly relaxed and gave her the go ahead, Kanara was dumbstruck for a few seconds. Was there anything that she was able to offer that was presentable at all? All the techniques she knew were only underlining the weaknesses she had. Deciding that taijutsu was probably the best thing she was able to present, she settled for something new, she hadnt tried before.

Looking to the left and the right, Kanara spotted a larger piece of wood that was laying around. Walking over, putting it in an upright position, Kanara breathed in as she jumped back and began her attack. Kicking the wooden "dummy" into the air she used her sped to appear behind it. Kicking it 2 more times into the sky she finally conckuded her attack by using all her force, kicking the remnant of what was once a tree into the ground, shattering it into  hundrets of wood slinters that were thrown around. Coming down shortly after the "emeny, Kanara landed and used the force from her violent manuver into one final blow in the last few pieces that were whole.

As the fist landed, the last wood was experiencing the same effect that had occoured before. Getting slowly up from her prone position Kanara looked at the Hokage, waiting for approval, or any other sign. As she stood still and stared at him she tried desperately to supress the pain she felt when she hit the wood. While the force she delivered truly was a sight to behold, it also has had effect on herself, which was able to be seen by the small flow of blood that formed on the back of her hand and was dripping off of her hand.

Tengoku would tilt his head and watch. She was nervous over the personal assessment and he supposed that made sense. She would have to be fairly confident not to be. He remembered being in front of three different Hokage in his time. Even doing a mission with a future Tsuchikage. All powerful men and women of their own right and all the Hokage he had met before him had been Uchiha. However brief the time he spent with them he had gotten a sense of incredible ability from them...and he hadn't gotten over being shy until the final one. All of them had seen his shyness as an obstacle so he had overcome it with great effort. Still she would find something quickly to demonstrate with. He had clocked the wood coming and thought it added to the high tech generated atmosphere nicely. Still it was good she had a softer example for her taijutsu display than the solid rock walls. He would follow her movements as he recognized the strong fist style. He had mastered it as well. So he would wait for her to finish the display. His eyes calm while his smile was warm. He liked seeing other practitioners taking it seriously. And with her speed she was an animal at attacking from vulnerability.

Still it was pointless to even attempt to hide her injury from him and so she made no attempt to. The moment skin had broken he could smell the blood. Even with the heavy scent and warm air...at this distance he could hear her heartbeat. Smelling even the tiniest wound wouldn't get by him. Of course his sister had hated him for that knowledge basically once a month once they hit puberty. He even made the mistake of telling her she smelled funny once. Which got his ears boxed. Still he was reminiscing. He had to stay focused for now. His eyes shifted to the drop of blood as it fell from her finger tip to the sand below and was quickly swallowed up by it. He had done that to his knuckles a lot during his taijutsu training.

"That display, along with your impressive speed, mission count and involvement in a world level event...That is enough to land you a position as a chunnin. But again this is a probationary period. You will be observed to see if you will remain a chunnin or even earn a higher promotion. Now as for your taijutsu...I suggest either training up some tougher skin or adapting in something. Personally I suggest armored gloves with padded knuckles. It will allow you to use taijutsu against weapon specialists and protect your hands for your future. Do you have any questions?"

Brining out an bandage from her ninja tool bag and wrapping hier hand into it in quick, precise movements, Kanara listened to Tengoku as she pushed through the pain. Again and again he was right, also with the part about a weapon. Kanara not only had been looking for someone that would have been able to craft her a weapon, but also set aside funds for it allready. However, her plans of finding someone had been unsucessful so far.

By the time the option came up for questions on her end, Kanara thought for a short moment before finally asking:

"Are there any benefits aside from the higher rank for a chunin? I- I mean something like more payment or something neat or something thats normally restricted for genin?"

While it was something she didnt like to ask, she still thought it was important. After all maybe there was something that would help her become stronger or help her live up to the rank she had been given. Given the fact that she has heard abou t aplace withing the village, where secret techniques of Konoha were stored, her curiosity had awakened too, making it even more important to her to know if there were benefits. While she didnt state this interest of hers, in hopes of Tengoku knowing what she meant, or starting on his pown, she certainly would speak up in case he didnt catch on. Howerver, given the fact that he was the hokage, he likely allready knew.

As her face got slightly red she looked to the ground and put her hands behind her back, waiting for an answer.

Tengoku would tilt his head as those yellow eyes would look her over. They would seem to gleem with the energy of chakra themselves as he activated his sensory in response to her question. Examining her chakra for traces of elements. He would consider giving a chunnin an exclusive if they could utilize it. After all she was expected to take on more responsibility now. However the only element he could detect were traces of fire. It wasn't a matured chakra network yet however so there was still room to evolve. Still he studied her chakra network for about ten seconds before contemplating as he tapped his chin with one finger. Finally answering her inquiry.

"Well yes there is a pay increase. Along with that chunnin who perform exceptionally may be granted access to one of the villages exclusives. You can even take one genin student if you like. However not a full squad outside of missions. That said if you want to reach Jounin...work on increasing your limits on jutsu. I will expect something more impressive for a demonstration then. Do not rely too heavily on your bloodline either. I know its tempting for the Uchiha to do so given the potency of the ability. But you should develop a way to fight without it too."

To demonstrate Tengoku would stop tapping his chin a moment as lightning crackled in the air above them. He hadn't moved or made a single seal and lightning ninjutsu was activating. He would lift his finger and point at a boulder in the distance and the electricity in the air would flash out in a massive bolt of lightning. Turning the entire boulder to dust. He hadn't broken a sweat or done more than idly point at it. He was the Hokage for a reason after all.

"If you can fight in different ways you can overcome more obstacles. I mastered my sensory first and then taijutsu and kenjutsu. I picked up ninjutsu and just recently Kyujutsu. If you rely too heavily on the Sharingan it will limit other avenues to you. Do not forget...it is a tool at your disposal...not you at its."

Staring at Tenguko while he gave his speech, Kanara remained still. After all it was about what she had expected. Asking now, she stated:

"What kind of village exclusive would that be? I mean what does one of those do?"

The other comments about she relied too much about her bloodline hurt somehow. After all, she was an Uchiha. These eyes of hers were the reason she bath both cursed and blessed. Even moreso due to the fact that she would be hunted until she was able to defeat her. The Hokage, Tengoku had no knowledge about her fears. About the things she saw. How could he? And even if he had, he wouldnt understand. Noone really could. Except maybe Yuichi. He had seen what she suffered from.

Getting torn out of her thoughts by a massive pillar of lightning that came crashing down on a lone boulder, turning it to dust in the process, Kaanra eyes wndered between the boulder and Tengoku. He hadnt moved except for pointing his finger towards the boulder, is if to show nature itself that he tired of this boulders presence.

"Wha- What was that, Tengoku? And you... you wouldnt understand." Pausing for a secong, she added, significantly more quiet: "You cant understand..."

Tengoku would let his chakra fizzle out a little...though he was feeling odd. Like using his chakra for an S rank technique had stirred something within. He wasn't sure what it was but only that he felt some sort of strange power welling within. For just a moment black would seep into the edges of the whites of his eyes before fading away. He felt off like he was catching a cold but for now it faded once he released the technique. Leaving him a little light headed. Still her questions seemed to ring in his ears. Taking a moment he would take a breath and steady himself. Before answering her question.

"That was a raiton ninjutsu I created for fighting at a distance. As long I maintain a chakra connection with the jutsu everywhere I point a pillar of lightning will come down. As for what exclusives are..they are our heritage. Techniques of a certain power that were passed down within the village. That we attempt to keep within the village. There is even an organization named SHINRA that police's these between the nations. That said for now I will grant you access to the Rasengan. You will be given one copy to study and keep. Do not let someone take it from you. Do not teach it to anyone. That said I am feeling under the weather so if you will excuse me...Congratulations on the promotion."

With that he would nod his head respectfully before turning. He would move to where they entered the room and place his hand on the stone wall. Pushing on it as it gave way almost seamlessly. Opening into the door from which they came as he would exit and head home for the day. Intending to sleep off this unease he felt in his body. Leaving the door open for her to do as she chose once he was gone. The Rasengan scroll copy would be brought to her in person via a courier in the next couple of days.

Listening to the Hokages explaination about his prowess or rather the reason why a single person carried so much firepower alone, Kanara couldnt help but to be terrified and in awe at once. THe Hokage truly was special. Not only was he the rightful leader of the entire country, but also was he an amazing ninja. Kanara didnt know much how Jounin were fighting, but even only the fact that he was able to use such techniques without any handseals before showed Kanara that she was, in terms of raw strength in combat, nothing compared to him.

As he made his excuse, Kanara went into a bow, which oddly terrified her even more. Showing the neck, one of the biggest weakspots to such a powerful person probably wasnt the best thing to do, however she needed to trust in his honest intentions. And after all, he hadnt done anything against her so far and if he wanted something from her, she wouldnet be able to stop him anyways, not only becasue he was even faster then her, but also due to the fact that this room did not have a door of any kind.

"I... Thank you lor- I mean Tengoku. I will make the leaf proud and try to put this technique to good use. Please get well soon lor-.... i-... Tengoku."

Watching as the Hokage made his exit, Kanara waited for a minute or so, until she was sure that the amber coloured eyes were no longer in range, she also made her way back home. The day had been eventful after all. Too eventful for Kanaras liking, even if the events were good in nature.
