Kami backed up from Azrael with a stern look on her face. Her eyes flickered like a broken light bulb, like it was trying to do something but her eyes couldn’t. “I said stay ou—!” In mid sentence, she was cut off by the memory of her being saddened, holding her stuffed animal. As dust particles flew in, making the body of Azrael holding out his hand, she was taken aback by what she was seeing. Little Kami looked up to Azrael and continued to crying, sniffling here and there. “Why don’t they love me..” Little Kami cried out to him. Azrael just stood there, waiting, until the scene changed to an older version of Kami, sniffling a little and wiping her tears. “I don’t need them. I don’t need anyone.” It was the time where Kami made up her mind on not trusting or befriending anyone. Still Azrael stayed there, hand held out, waiting for Kami.
The scenes flickered between the two, both Kami’s movements synced. Shaking there head, denying any help, causing them to cry even more. They both wiped their tears away and thought to themselves for a few moments, staring him up and down. Both hands reached out, both nervous and hesitant. The scenes began merging together, flickering faster with Kami being overwhelmed. As the two touched Azrael’s hand, Kami blinked and she was seeing from her own point of view, looking down at his and hers hands, holding each other. She was breathing heavily, almost like a weight came off of her shoulders. She wasn’t crying, let alone feeling anything. Her eyes were just wide with disbelief. The scene left and everything faded into what was the present day, her holding onto Azrael’s hand. She took a step back, letting go and clearing her throat. To none other than Azrael, he would be able to see a little light in her eyes and some color, Maybe even a little happiness.
“It’s late.. You should get home.” Kami made her way past Azrael, holding herself close and making her way back home. Opening the door, she set her key down and close it behind, locking it with the twist on the door handle. She looked around her dull room and walked to the bed that was next to the window. It had white covers with two pillows and her black and white cat toy sitting against the two. Kami gave a soft smile before grabbing it, lifting the covers and climbing in, holding the cat toy close. From there, soft whimpers were heard throughout the night if you paid close attention.

”Azrael… I’ll call you Azrael…”
