She has a want for companionship and comradery, as well as friendship and the dreams of her own family one day, though she only wants the strong and trustworthy by her side. History:
- The Voiceless Blade:
- Gazel Hozuki, daughter to a Hozuki mother and a clanless blacksmith father, returned home after being held prisoner to some abductors who targeted her and her mother in the middle of the night 9 years ago. During this abduction, her father was knocked unconscious and awoke to a ransacked household and no family to be found. He would go on to hope and pray that his family was still alive and making their way home. Sadly, just a few days before Gazel escaped and returned home, he succumbed to his depression of losing the ones he loved. This left a sad and disturbing scene for her when she got home. Finding her father in the house, and no mother to be seen, even at this young age, it filled her with rage. So later that week she silently returned to that hideout. In a blind and mindless revenge tilt, yet calm and precise at the same time, she dispatched her captors with the same knife that her father used on himself. She would return home shortly after that, replacing the knife with her father as she would mourn in silence.
2 years later, she still lives within that home. Reminding herself of her parents and very vigilant of who comes around her and the house. Working odd jobs to pay for her meals between the meals that are given to her out of the pity of her neighbors and family friends. She doesn't feel comfortable with people anymore, though she wishes to find someone to find trust and believe in. Someone to show her the light of the world again. Often, she would look into her father's workshop without entering. Searching for the man who used to work in there all the time that he wasn't at work himself. Soon after she would make her way to the smithy he used to work at. Peering inside the windows and watching the workers do what do best; forge. They would notice her watching and wave, but this would cause her to run off instead of greet them. It wasn't until recently that she had started to enter her father's at home workshop, exploring the things he created and kept in that room. Lots of scrap metal and coal still sitting and waiting to be used and worked into a fine piece of art. That is what her father made, Art. This would be the pushing inspiration to enter the smithy shop and purchase one of her father's creations that had not yet been sold but instead kept specifically for Gazel: a very simple, yet elegant set of Shinobigatana, promptly called Zealous Dreams. The shop only wanted to give them to her, but she said nothing in response and left money on the counter. Without turning back or responding to the calling of the workers she returned home to admire her dad's work within his workshop. It was this moment that fueled her to return to the life of the shinobi, swords are meant to be used, and she will do them, and her father, justice.

- As she leaves the hideout, Gazel walks slowly in the downpour. Uncaring about being soaked head to toe. Ignoring the gazes of anyone walking that road. Blood washes off of her skin and knife leaving a train of slowly disbursing blood atop the barely noticeable layer of water on the pathway back to the village. Back home. One passerby stops and looks at her before calling out. [color:76de=dark green]"Hey, you look familiar. Stop walking for a sec, let me get a good look at ya little girl. HEY! I'm speaking to ya'!" The stranger grips her shoulder, spinning her around immediately, crouched to look her eye to eye. Her soulless eyes meet his as she slowly realizes that he was the man who took her and her mother many year back though no reaction climbs its way onto her face. [color:76de=dark green]"Yeah, I do know you. You're that kid that escaped a couple years ago, boy is the boss gonna be glad I foun--d... yaaa..." Before he even finished his sentence, a blade sinks itself into his chin. All the way to the hilt. His jaw goes slack revealing the knife blade piercing even the roof of his mouth before returning to the rain populated air. The man's body frozen in place before slowly listing forward and slowly falling as she walks away practically unfazed that the events that just unfolded. Walking maintaining that same broken expression that no child her age should even be capable of knowing.
